Blaine ran up to Sebastian’s door, gift basket in hand; Trent, an old school friend of theirs, had sent the care package to Blaine in order to give to Bas after hearing about the pneumonia spell from the former a few days earlier. He knocked hurriedly, impatiently waiting for his friend to open the door. He almost elected to just leave it at the door when Sebastian finally opened the door. Blaine didn’t give him a chance to say anything before handing the basket over to the other man. “Here, it’s from Trent; I told him you were sick, and he sent this. I’m sorry, I really can't stay, Coop called and…well, anyways. I’ll text you in a little bit, I really have to go.” And with that, Blaine ran back to his car.

Note attached to the basket: Hi Sebastian; I’m not sure if you remember me, I was a freshman at Dalton the year you graduated, like Blaine. But he told me that you were sick and I figured you could use a pick-me-up! I remember how much of a wine drinker you were, so I’m hoping it’s still true. I hope you're feeling better soon!

Despite the fact that he was no longer confined to bed rest, it still took Sebastian a little while to get himself out of bed to hobble to the front door. He raised his eyebrows when he saw Blaine on the other side, but before he could even get the chance to invite his friend in, Blaine was talking at like a mile a minute. The words barely registered beyond “Coop” and “have to go”, and he was so lost in his concern for Blaine that it took him a few seconds to even realise what he was holding. 

Blinking twice, he glanced at the basket in his hands, carrying it into his kitchen and setting it on the counter. His eyes skimmed over the note, and he pressed his lips together. Trent. Why the fuck was Trent, of all people, sending him shit? Like he didn’t have enough to deal with. 

To make matters worse, the contents set his blood boiling, and he clenched his teeth, because dammit Trent, no, he did not appreciate an old classmate trying to poison him with shitty wine. 

“Fucking Trent,” he grumbled, but he grabbed the pretzels from the basket anyway. At least the moron managed to get one thing right.
