About the Vision: I'm very happy that this reawakened for me. No matter where I go or what I do, she's always with me. Plus the Anemo energy works very well with the elements the Ruin Blade uses. Almost like it was meant to be.

Interesting Things: Moon knows a lot despite being broken. You can ask her almost anything and she should be able to answer! Unfortunately, that doesn't mean she'll actually tell you.
About Moon: I found the sword in Stormterrors' Lair, but Moon I first found in Enkanomiya. To think, they're more than a thousand years old... but so much more advanced than anything here in Teyvat. At least from what I've seen.

About Jean: I hope Grand Master Varka returns from his expedition soon. Maybe then I can finally see Jean relax. Nah, knowing her, she won't. 'For Mondstadt, as always...'

About Amber: Y'know, it's because of Amber that I tried out for the Knights. Seeing her try so hard to become an Outrider like her grandfather really inspired me. Heh, good for her.
About Amane: You know, my first thought of him was that he was a loner putting up a literal cold air to push people away. Goes to show you not to judge a book by it's cover. "I don't like the way he looks at you." W-what? Where did that come from?!
About Zhongli: "Over there, is that Morax?" What, no that's Mr. Zhongli. I swear Moon, you might be a bit broken. Still... I kind of want to introduce myself.
*About Zhongli: Help: That power, back at the Chasm. Do you think it was the work of Rex Lapis? "I told you he was alive! That Exuvia back then was fake!" Hm, maybe...
*About Xiao: Help: Hey Moon, next time we're at the Wangshu Inn, remind me to leave some almond tofu out. "Why?" For the Guardian Yaksha, of course! I need to thank him for his blessing back at the Chasm. It must've hurt to not help directly.
About Ningguang: The Tianquan? I once saw her at a pretty cheap food stall buying Mora Meat! She looked like she was enjoying herself too, it's nice to see someone so high up the ladder enjoy something so... simple.

About Kamisato Ayato: Ah, the Kamisato siblings. My mother was close with their parents, so I would see them on occasion when we were really young. I wonder... does he still remember me?
About Faruzan: Aside from Kris, Madam Faruzan is the only person to truly show any real interest in the Ruin Blade. Unfortunately, the only thing she was able to tell me is that 'the name is incorrect.' Pft, obviously... I just can't think of anything cooler!
About Nilou: I happened to pass by one of her troupe's shows, and I must say... I was enthralled, for lack of a better word. *Sigh* I should really go back to the Zubayr Theater. I really want to express how enchanting they are, especially Nilou. She dances like... like... agh I can't find a good word for it!
About Kris: That poor girl blames herself for the accident that took her sister from her. She's dedicated her entire life to finding her again, and because of it... hasn't really led a life. I hope she can find at least some time not worrying and fretting.
*About Karma: I like her hustle! Honestly, if I wasn't an Adventurer, I would probably have become a merchant like her. "What about the Knights?" Maybe, but finding odd items all over and selling them to interesting people? Sounds kinda nice, I won't lie.
About Lesser Lord Kusanali: Truth: "Well well, the previous Archon's reincarnation has finally grown wings of her own. Good for her, I cannot wait to see her fly." Huh? Lesser Lord Kisanali isn't a reincarnation, she lost her power, right? Or something like that, according to archives.
About Wanderer: "Foolish Ballader, you cannot hide your true identity. A discarded puppet, the sixth Fatui Harbinger, a failed god, you will always be those things, no matter how hard you try to hide them." Huh? What? There isn't even a sixth Harbinger, what are you talking about with all this?
About Ruby: There is something about that woman that I can't put my finger on. "My suggestion is to stay away from her. Not only is she not human, she's barely comprehensible." Moon, that just makes me even more interested!
About Lyza: Rival: Haha, I've been hired by Kris to find her, but I can't help but be caught up in the moment every time we fight. Lyza is... she's not like anyone I've faced before. Is this what having a rival is like? "No you idiot! Ugh, that poor girl. Having to deal with those curses, forced servitude, and you."

More About Yuuki 1: I'm actually from Inazuma. Before moving to Mondstadt, I lived with my family in the middle of the city. We weren't too far from the Komore Teahouse, although we were never allowed entry.
More About Yuuki 2: I had quite a few odd jobs when I was younger, after moving to Mondstadt that is. I helped at Quinn's stand, ran deliveries for Sara, and even helped out Grand Master Varka! *Sigh* Things were simpler back then. But not necessarily better. Heh, I did a lot to get away from my father.
More About Yuuki 3: Before I became an Adventurer, I actually tried to join the Knights. Back then, I was doing anything to get out of the house, but... I don't know, something stopped me from following through. I was told I had what it takes and had more than enough skill, but I just couldn't finish. I wonder what kind of person that makes me...

Yuuki's Hobbies: Aw, this is a bit embarrassing, but... I like to draw. I've drawn a lot of the landscapes that I've visited and a few... portraits. Wha- you... want to see? Nngh... fine. Just don't be too harsh, okay?
Yuuki's Troubles: Moon likes to butt into conversations a lot, usually to inform or correct something in a conversation. "Please, I bring life to some of those boring conversations with boring people!" It's... complicated to explain to people exactly what's happening.

Favorite Food: Aah, I'm not super picky. As long as it's cooked properly, filling and I can have a good drink with it, I'll probably eat it. Especially if I can eat it on the go.
Least Favorite Food: Hmm, I'm not a fan of making soups and stews when I'm out. Clean-up is such a pain, and it's so easy to get the seasoning wrong.

There she was. The Acting Grand Master, taking what appeared to be a leisurely stroll compared to a standard patrol. A rare chance for Yuuki to finally ask the question she'd wanted to ask every time she visited Mondstadt. And on all days, it was on Valentine's Day! She wasn't sure if the timing was good or bad, but an opportunity like this wouldn't come by. Not like this at least.
'Come on, just a simple question.' Yuuki thought to herself as she worked up the courage to approach. 'The worst she can say is no, right?' Yuuki nodded and lightly slapped her cheeks before walking up toward the wandering blonde. "Excuse me, Jean, er, Grand Master Jean?" She really hoped her smile hid how nervous she was. "I'm Yuuki. I don't know if you remember me, but we kind of knew each other when we were a bit younger. I was... wondering if you had some time to grab something and catch up? Maybe over some coffee, or... lunch?"
Valentine's Day open for Jean~
Jean's work often consisted of two main "parts": her work as the Acting Grand Master and her work of helping out around Mondstadt. She tried to divide her time enough to do both, but in doing so she rarely had time for herself. She didn't mind. Whether she was working on trade negotiations or helping find a lost cat, she just wanted to do what was best for Mondstadt.
So she was happy on holidays like Valentine's Day, watching everyone in Mondstadt be joyful even though she couldn't participate herself. She barely had time for herself, much less someone else... But that's alright. Someone had to do this, and she was honored to be that person. So instead of enjoying the day for what it meant, she took a small stroll around the city to make sure the residents were indeed happy. She'll have to return to her office soon, true, but it was such a lovely day... And Jean couldn't help but feel a bit giddy with warmth from all of the love around her.

Hino doesn't follow rules in her manga so I would like it if she had Kaname and Yuuki share one heart somehow
They share one heart. Their love became one, and this was mentioned in the opening song of the anime season 2, and these are Rondo lyrics from Kaname’s thought's. It's Kaname's song about Yuki and his feelings.

'Yes, I can make time for that.'
Jean's response left Yuuki flabbergasted. The idea of a date had been asked on a whim, with the assumption that she would be turned down while also letting it be known that Yuuki wanted to further their relationship, or at least open the possibility up. But she said yes. The Adventurer did her best to contain her excitement, though it could be clearly seen in her eyes.
"I..." Yuuki stammered a few times, doing her best to organize her thoughts calmly. "I-I, really?! Jean, that's...!!" She jumped in place, shaking in excitement before continuing. "That's great!! Is tomorrow night okay?! Also, how comfortable are you leaving Mondstadt? I-I have a few ideas, but I'd like to know your preference just to be sure! Oh, and I promise I won't keep you out all night or overnight or anything like that, you can be back very quickly in case anything happens! Just dinner, and maybe a walk after if you're up for it!"

Collection Title: Under Comet’s Tale||Title: Judgment of the New King Characters: Juudai, Dark World Monsters||Ship: N/A Collection: 1-6||Story: 1-1||Words: 3,042 Genre: Drama, Angst||Rated: G Challenges: Diversity Writing, GX canon, I24, 1-shot collection centering around 1 person: Juudai Notes: This begins moments after Juudai defeats Brron. This is also a set of six one-shots that will feature Juudai during his rule over Dark World. Each one is self-contained and will be posted by itself. Summary: Kings must deliver justice. Even when they’re new at the job and don’t even know they’re kings yet.
He could hear their voices, whispered words cast among one another. Their gaze rested on him, skittering uneasily away whenever he twitched, as if he might kill them as he’d killed Brron.
It wasn’t that bad of an idea, Juudai thought vaguely. They kept staring at him. They’d cheered him on when he’d fought – would they still do it so happily when he turned on them?
If. If he turned on them. Not when. He wasn’t – he couldn’t – he wouldn’t.
Juudai started to raise his head. His fingers twitched, and someone took that as a reason to dart out of the arena, tiny noises squeaking in his throat. Juudai blinked for a heartbeat, not at all sure of what he could or should or might do about any of this.
He’d never been this unsure in his entire life. Always before he’d simply wanted to enjoy a good duel, win or lose. Losing annoyed him – it would annoy anyone, right? But it didn’t upset him. Even when he’d lost against Edo that first time, he hadn’t been upset. It had been – something else – that upset him then.
He swallowed and tottered to his feet. He wasn’t sure if he had a coherent thought in his head. Any time he thought something, the words and images just dipped and swirled and wandered off to do something else altogether.
Juudai had no idea of what to do. No, that wasn’t true. The longer he sat there, the more certain he felt that he knew what he needed to do. But he couldn’t bring himself to get up, to do anything at all.
Slowly, he raised his head higher. There were still a few of the spirits that crowded the area there, but most of them had vanished, off to who knew where. He didn’t care. They didn’t mean anything to him.
But as he lifted his head, he saw something else: Brron’s Duel Disk. One card had fallen out of it. He recognized it after a moment: Super Fusion. It still looked mostly blank, but the harder he stared at it, the more he knew what it could do.
But then his gaze shifted past that to Brron’s Disk and the rest of the deck. Slowly, ever so slowly, he reached over and picked the deck up, his fingers shaking so much that he dropped the cards, each one spilling before him.
He’d seen Dark World decks before; he’d even fought against one in his first year. The duelist, a Ra Yellow, tried very hard and played the deck very well. But he’d beaten it then.
Just like he’d beaten it this time, by a duelist who had been a lot better than that half-forgotten Yellow.
But that deck hadn’t had a card like Super Fusion. No card like Super Fusion existed anywhere.
Juudai stared at the cards scattered before him and automatically started to gather them up. As he did so, he could feel something twitching, and somewhere in all of that, the sensation that someone was there rose up strong and unmistakable.
“A human?” He didn’t recognize the voice. But he looked up now and in front of him there stood a tall, somewhat bony creature, wrapped in a deep green cloak, holding a book close to him.
Juudai blinked once or twice more before he glanced back down at the cards in his hand and then up again. He knew this one now. Gren, Tactician of Dark World.
“It shouldn’t be possible. Humans aren’t that good at dueling.” This one was Beiige, Dark World’s Vanguard. Complete dismissal colored his words. “What did he do to Brron-sama?”
The Hunter of Dark World, Broww, moved closer. “Well, human? What did you do?” He raised his bow. “Don’t think you can escape us.”
“I don’t know.” Another Dark World monster laughed derisively. “Some of those humans can run awfully fast.”
A whisper of chill followed the next to speak. “Watch your words, Goldd. There is more to this one than meets the eye. Gren, did you not say earlier that a strange human from another world defeated both Scarr and Zure?”
Gren’s eyes didn’t lift from Juudai. Juudai didn’t even feel like replying. Still broken and disconnected words tossed themselves inside of him, nothing making its way to his lips at all.
“Yes, I did. That’s why Brron-sama wanted to duel him.” Gren shifted away from Juudai. “I saw a great deal of that duel. it’s – not impossible that this human could have defeated him.”
“You didn’t see all of it?” The frost-voiced one asked. Juudai’s eyes flicked around until they landed on a woman’s form, tall and garbed in white, leveling a thoughtful gaze on him. Juudai tilted his head. For the first time in what he thought might be forever he spoke.
“Who are you?”
The lady of ice tilted her head into a nod of greeting. She was as bony and cold as any of the others, carrying a long staff in one hand.
“I am Snoww, Magician of Dark World. And who are you, human who has slain Brron-sama?”
Juudai swallowed. His heart lurched in his chest. Sweat tingled on his brow.
“Yuuki Juudai.”
It wasn’t his voice. Neos stood beside him, arms folded over his chest, fierce eyes staring at the monsters, as if he could take them all on without so much as cracking a sweat.
Juudai wasn’t sure if Neos did sweat. He’d created him but he’d never thought about it, really.
But now he nodded; as long as he had his deck by his side, then he could do anything. He could even take on all of these monsters. Neos would help. All of the Elemental Heroes and Neo-Spacians would. He could feel them there, ready to stand by his side.
Snoww’s gaze hadn’t shifted from him by so much as a hair’s breadth. “Human called Juudai, you killed Brron. The law of this world is the law of the strong over the weak – you proved that you are stronger than Brron was.”
Juudai wasn’t at all sure of what to say about that. He grasped for the first words that came to his lips.
“I don’t care.” Being strong wasn’t going to bring back his friends. It wouldn’t take away the words that still burned inside of his heart, seared in marks of flame and etched with Shou’s voice.
Snoww’s lips curved for a breath, something somewhat like a smile. He wasn’t sure if it really was one or not. Did the monsters of Dark World know how to really smile?
Before he could ask that, the monster that had spoken before – Goldd – did again.
“Are you as good at running as your little friend? The squishy one? He ran so well he went right off a cliff!”
He and another one, Sillva, cackled in eerie echo of one another. Sillva tossed a glance towards where the others had been – Manjoume and Asuka, Fubuki and Kenzan – with all that was left of them being the chains they’d been in.
“Looks like he’s not the only one who died, though. Brron-sama finished them off.”
Ice far deeper than whatever Snoww possessed wrapped itself all around Juudai’s heart and soul. When he spoke, there wasn’t anything in his voice that echoed of forgiveness or kindness.
“What do you know about my friends?”
Goldd and Sillva glanced at him; Goldd answered. “Brron-sama wanted us to bring them to him. They weren’t that hard to catch. A little mouthy, but we shut them up.” He raised his weapon menacingly, lips parted in an expression that Juudai thought was meant to be a smile. “Took us longer to run the squishy one down, though.”
“And he jumped off a cliff before he let us catch him. What a wimp!” Sillva mocked, wings rustling in the pale wind. “Couldn’t handle being killed with everyone else, I guess.”
Brron killed his friends – set it up so that Juudai attacked even when he didn’t want to. But he wouldn’t have had them there to kill in the first place if these two hadn’t brought them.
Hurt them.
Run Shou off a cliff.
Rage spiked in his heart. This was their fault. Still a lot of his – his mistakes with Yubel remained at the root of all of this – but they’d done enough and he wasn’t going to let them get away with it.
He didn’t need to duel them. He didn’t want to duel them. They didn’t deserve that honor – they didn’t deserve an honorable death in combat.
“Juudai…” Neos rested a hand on Juudai’s shoulder and Juudai threw it off without a single word, stepping forward.
Anyone looking at him – Snoww and Gren, Goldd and Sillva, Beiige and Broww, all of the others there – saw Juudai’s eyes melt from confused brown to furious molten gold. All around him there flared an aura of shadows, deeper and darker than any ever seen even in this world of night.
“You hurt my friends.” The words fell like tiny drops of hatred. “You’re not going to live.”
Goldd laughed, raising his sword higher. “Pretty eyes, but what can you-”
Juudai gave him no time to finish the question. He moved forward, hands grasping onto Goldd’s arms. Juudai caught a brief glimpse of confusion in Goldd’s eye before power surged through him. Life and death were his to command – he could feel all of that power surging at his fingertips in this moment. There wasn’t anything that anyone could do to stop him.
Not the Dark World monsters.
Not the Elemental Heroes.
Not the Neo-Spacians.
Not Hane Kuriboh.
In the space of a heartbeat, Goldd changed from a living, breathing creature to nothing more than dust in Juudai’s hands. The echoes of his final scream hung in the air and for a few seconds, Juudai savored them. They faded far too quickly, though, and he turned to where Sillva stood. The moment those eyes touched on him, the Army God of Dark World stumbled back.
He’d seen the unrelenting, unforgiving gaze of something far beyond a god.
“Run.”
Juudai said just that one word. Sillva didn’t hesitate, whirled and scampered out of the gates of the fortress, covering huge amounts of territory in a matter of moments. Juudai let him run – for now. There wasn’t any forgiveness in him now.
He’d done that before. He’d forgiven Kagemaru. He understood that Saiou hadn’t been in control of his own actions. Yubel – Yubel hated him personally. That was his own fault.
But this was different. This was someone who hurt the people that he cared about and Juudai would never forgive that.
He just wanted to play with his food. Just a little. To give Sillva the chance that Kenzan and Asuka, Fubuki and Manjoume, and Shou hadn’t been given.
If they hadn’t chased Shou would he have thought differently when he got there? Or would he have hated Juudai regardless? Would he have listened?
Juudai didn’t know. Juudai found, with a bit of amazement, that he also didn’t care. What happened was what happened. Time to finish things.
He ignored Neos’s attempting to speak to him. He started out of the arena, his steps taking him to a stretch of shadows. When he came out of the other side, he wasn’t anywhere near the fortress’s arena. He wasn’t sure of where he was, but not there. He could feel that Sillva wasn’t there. Too far away.
He’d have to learn to control this. He wasn’t sure of what this was but he liked it. It felt natural; felt right as almost nothing had since this last year of school began.
Again he entered the darkness, casting about as he did. When he stepped out again, he knew he was even farther from the fortress where he’d fought Brron. But he was closer to Sillva.
Once more he moved. And then again. He thought as he grew closer, Sillva knew he was coming. He did hope so. He wanted Sillva to fear him. He wanted Sillva to know that death stalked him.
“Juudai.” Again Neos tried to tug him from this path and again Juudai ignored him. This was his decision. This was his choice.
Now.
Sillva stopped; probably to catch his breath, probably for a drink of water. Juudai didn’t know. Didn’t care. But Sillva slumped for a few moments, barely looking as if he could take another step.
He didn’t need to. Juudai eliminated his need to move in moments. He didn’t give a chance for talking – Sillva had nothing that Juudai wanted to hear.
“Juudai, what are you doing?” Aqua Dolphin spoke up, hovering there briefly. “This isn’t -”
“Go away.” Juudai said quietly. “I don’t want to talk to you. To any of you.”
He didn’t think that he wanted to talk to anyone ever again. He could feel that it was getting close to what passed for night in this world. He started to walk, entering the shadows again. When he stepped out of them this time, he stood back in the arena. The other Dark World monsters hadn’t left; stood close to one another, talking in quiet tones.
When he entered, Snoww turned towards him right away. “Has your judgment been delivered?”
Juudai nodded. No words wanted to be said, so he didn’t say them. He stared again at the cards of Brron, now neatly stacked. Had he put them there like that? He didn’t remember – cared even less.
But that card remained with him. He’d picked it up before they arrived – never set it back down. Now he tugged it out and stared at it again before he looked at them all. Something hung in the air – something was about to change.
“How do I create this?”
He wanted Super Fusion. His reasons were simple – if he had it, then they hadn’t died in vain. If he had it, they would remain with him – Manjoume and Kenzan, Asuka and Fubuki.
Shou? No. Shou remained out there somewhere, with Jim and O’Brien. Shou didn’t want anything to do with him anymore. He wasn’t sure if the other two did either. He didn’t think that the others did – not that they had a choice now.
He would make up for what he did. He would make up for the mistakes that he’d made, with them and with Yubel.
Gren moved forward in the brief space that those thoughts took to filter through him.
“Death. Everyone that dies near enough to that’s card presence will become a part of the card. The stronger the duelist, the more they will contribute to Super Fusion’s birth.” Gren hesitated, cast a glance at Snoww, then back to Juudai. “The four deaths that it already soaked up did a great deal for it. The fifth person – the carrier of Doubt – could finish the card with his death.”
The carrier of Doubt. Shou. It had to be Shou. Juudai didn’t know what that actually meant but he recognized Shou regardless.
“No. If anyone sees him – leave him alone. If – if there’s a way back to where we came from, put him there. Let him go. Same for the other two with him. Just let them go.”
Gren bowed low. “As you wish.”
He’d given orders. An order, and someone else accepted it. He’d never done that before. He liked to bull ahead with what he wanted to do – he’d done that for so long. People listened when he wanted things – mostly.
But it hadn’t been like this. They feared him – feared what he could do to them. What he would do to them.
Just the thought of them not listening – of hurting someone when he’d told them not to – made him think about killing them already. They would have to know that disobeying him wasn’t allowed. He’d make that very clear from now on.
“Yuuki-sama,” Gren started to speak and fell silent when Juudai cut his golden gaze toward him.
Dreadful silence stretched out between them. Juudai broke it at last. He hadn’t really thought in that time, but the words came regardless.
“Don’t call me that. Call me ” It came in a single interior bolt, a word that he’d heard once before, falling from the dying lips of Birdman. “Haou.”
He hadn’t understood what Birdman wanted then. He didn’t know if he did now. But that would, perhaps, be a good place to begin.
“Haou-sama,” Gren repeated before he dropped to his knees in front of Juudai. The other Dark World monsters followed one by one, each one murmuring his new title as they did, until only Snoww stood on her feet before him. That icy stare did not change, nor did her expression.
Then she knelt, her head bent respectfully. “Haou-sama,” she acknowledged. “What are your orders?”
Orders. Right. He needed those. He needed to kill people. For Super Fusion.
All right. Better all of this entire world than Shou or Jim or O’Brien.
Or Johan. If Johan wasn’t already dead.
Which he probably was. Brron said so. And if Johan wasn’t dead, then so much – so much…
That thought got shoved out of his head very fast. Juudai took a look around the arena and made up his mind.
“Get everyone in this place out of it. I don’t want anyone to stay here. Is there another castle? Somewhere else we can move to.”
Gren and Snoww exchanged a quick look and Snoww nodded. “Yes, Haou-sama. It hasn’t been lived in for some time but I think it will suit your needs. It will take perhaps two cycles of the comet to reach it – at least for most people. Perhaps you can reach it more quickly.”
That wasn’t a really bad idea. Juudai nodded. Then he looked at the other monsters. “You’re all going to do what I tell you.”
No one so much as twitched a finger in denial. Juudai knew this was just the beginning. He wasn’t a student anymore. Shou was right. Right and wrong.
He hadn’t killed Brron to make himself a king. He hadn’t done any of this to make himself a king.
But now that he had the job, he was going to be very, very good at it.

There was nothing quite like a good round of drinks after a full day of adventuring. She was happy to be sitting alone for now, not being hit on by weirdos. Who did approach her table was a surprise, the Reconnaissance Captain, Eula Lawrence. Someone she had admired from afar, but never got the courage to approach her directly during her time in Mondstadt.
Raising her eyebrows in surprise, Yuuki set down her glass and nodded, gesturing to the seat before her. "Of course, Captain. It's good to see you again."
;;~| ❄ |~It was a long day Eula was a bit upset by the ignorance of some people in Mondstatdt as she found herself being overshadowed once more.
With a soft sigh the female found herself walking into the angel share and asking for a drink to cast her worries away for a bit, however she took another second place to realize that the tavern was packed full all for one seat by the other.
With a soft shake to her head Eula decided to swallow her pride and approach the other before placing her hand on the table.
“Greetings, Is this seat taken, or may I Take part in resting here for a drink for a bit?” She was pretty sure this was the only seat available for the time being until the drink crew had their fill of the bartenders finest.
And though the mongrel credited Knight. found herself will very little options and perhaps sound a bit gruff more than she should have.

the darkness of the night consumes every corridor , they were allowed to roam the night a long as they stayed on their side but sometimes those humans just couldn’t keep away , now could they ? wandering about the grounds he lets out a sigh , fingers running through blond hair &&. pushing strands back out of his face . the wind is chilling , it makes the tips of his fingers cold . weaving between the trees , the last thing he expects to see is a girl looking up towards one of the windows . ah ----- a smirk slowly pulls onto lips as he approaches quietly from behind . an arm wrapping around her waist as he leans in , back pressed to chest , lips just grazing the outer part of her ear . icy eyes almost glow in the cast of the moon . a chuckle comes from lips , able to hear heartbeats pick up in pace , thrumming like a drum . pulse just beneath the thin layer of flesh , blood pumping through veins at a delightful rate . it makes him lick his lips . ❛ you seem distracted .. yuuki . if it were any other vampire , they would’ve taken a bite out of that sweet .. unblemished neck of yours instantly . lucky you it’s just me , hm ? ❜ murmured quietly into her ear , amusement filtered in his tone . he always saw her watching him ----- kaname . but who didn’t ? he was elegant , beautiful .. stunning &&. yet oh so dangerous .

Unable to ignore the condition of the city any longer, the Imperial Court decides to send Minamoto no Raiko, a famous samurai well-known for his archery skills, to recover a legendary gem said to hold mysterious power to save the world. Naho Takamiya’s first day of her sophomore year of high school is off to an uneasy start. After waking up late, she receives a strange letter addressed to her. However, the letter is from herself—10 years in the future! At first, Naho is skeptical of the note; yet, after witnessing several events described to take place, she realizes the letter really is from her 26-year-old self.
The note details that Naho’s future life is filled with regrets, and she hopes that her younger self can correct the mistakes that were made in the past. The letter also warns her to keep a close eye on the new transfer student, Kakeru Naruse. Naho must be especially careful in making decisions involving him, as Kakeru is not around in the future. Red Book - Part 1
“Shin Megami Tensei Devil Children: Red Book” Game Summary / English Translation (Gameboy Color, 2000)

This is a (mostly-complete) translation of the story portions of the game as well as a summary of story-related text in chronological order. Names and dialogue have been edited for easier reading. Scene locations are labeled using square brackets. I will be using default names for characters who can be renamed.
Part 1 - Earth and Central Land:
[ Dream ]

Mirai: “Are you… my father?”
Mirai: “No! Don’t leave!”
Mirai: “Father!!!”
A bell chimes and Mirai wakes up.
[ Earth – Harajuku Elementary School ]
Teacher: “Alright kids! It’s time to go home!”
The teacher exits the room and a classmate approaches Mirai.
Student: “You’re awake now? You’ve been asleep in class since the afternoon break. I hope you’re not getting sick! Please take care of yourself.”
Student: “Oh—while you were asleep, the teacher said there was a strange kid spotted wandering around the school. We’ve been told to be alert.”
Mirai can walk around the classroom and speak with the students. Mirai needs to collect her bag before she can leave the classroom.
Girl 1: “I’ve been practicing nail art! ♥ Would you like a red manicure?”
Girl 2: “Let’s walk home together! ♥”
Girl 3: “Did you see the news? The weather is strange all over the world!”
Boy: “Don’t forget your schoolbag!”
If Mirai looks into the mirror, a pentagram flashes onto her forehead.
Mirai: “!? A mark on my forehead…? …am I imagining things?”
When Mirai goes to leave the classroom:
Girl 2: “Eeek! I forgot I have an appointment!!! I need to run! Sorry, sorry!”
In the hallway, a boy collides with Mirai:
Boy: “Owch! Watch it!”
Mirai: “S-sorry! Are you okay?”
Boy: “Uh… y-yeah… ♥ Heh… ♥”
Mirai: “Huh? What’s up with you?”
Boy: “Oh—uh! Well… you’re just… I just think you’re really cute…”
Mirai: “♥♥♥♥♥♥”
Yuuki: “I’m Yuuki. What’s your name?”
Mirai: “It’s Mirai.”
Yuuki: “Mirai? …so, it’s you…”
Mirai: “Huh? What do you mean?”
Yuuki: “Um… nothing. Nevermind.”
Yuuki: “Oh, actually… I have a delivery for you. It’s important, so keep it close.”
Yuuki gives Mirai a red box before looking nervously down the hall.
Yuuki: “Damn it…”
Yuuki: “I’ll see you later, Mirai!”
Yuuki runs away and strange boy approaches.
Strange Boy: “I thought he went this way…? Hey, you! Did you see a boy carrying a red parcel?”
Strange Boy: “Ah! That’s it! That’s the box Yuuki had!”
Mirai: “Yeah. So what?”
Strange Boy: “Give me the box!”
Whether or not Mirai complies, the stranger tries to snatch it away from her.
Strange Boy: “I’m taking this!”
The screen flashes red.
Strange Boy: “Augh! No! That light is—don’t open that box!”
Mirai: “I do what I want.”
Mirai: “Let’s see; inside there is… a gun? And a compact computer?”
Strange Boy: “That revolver…is a Devil Raiser!?”
Strange Boy: “Heh… if that was in the box, then you must be the bearer of the Iridescent Eye! Hand it over!”
The boy lunges at Mirai.
Mirai: “PERVERT! STOP TRYING TO GRAB MY CHEST! I WILL WRECK YOUR SHIT!!!”
Strange Boy: “Qu-quiet down! Just give me the Devil Raiser and the Eye and I’ll leave!”
Mirai: “NO! LET GO OF ME!”
Mirai: “AH!”
Strange Boy: “Aha! Your pendant…!”
The boy grabs Mirai’s necklace.
Mirai: “That’s my necklace! Give it back!”
Strange Boy: “Ohoho! This is it! The Messiah’s Eye was hidden in plain sight!”
Mirai: “I SAID GIVE IT BACK!!!”
Mirai: “Mirai Secret Skill: TWISTER HURRICANE!!!”
Mirai high-kicks the stranger into next Tuesday.
Strange Boy: “Uagh! I—I… got it!”
The stranger runs away to escape Mirai’s wrath.
Mirai: “Aaah! That bastard stole my necklace! My mom gave me that necklace before she died…!”
Mirai can investigate the school and speak with the nearby students.
Girl: “Oooh! Mirai! You’re the coolest, strongest kid at school!”
Boy: “It’s way below freezing outside, but my burning love for you keeps me warm! ♥”
Mirai: “I can’t tell what makes me want to punch you harder; your pickup lines or your face.”
Boy: “Ugh! The shards of the Ice Queen cut through my soul! But I won’t give up on you! ♥”
Mirai: “Please do. Please give up.”
Mirai continues through the school until she finds Yuuki standing on the roof. The sky flashes unnatural colors.
Mirai: “…the sky…”
Yuuki: “Mirai! Sorry I had to run earlier. I’m glad you found me; I need to tell you about the contents of the parcel I delivered.”
Yuuki: “That magic gun is called a Devil Raiser; it’s going to be very useful for you, starting now.”
Mirai: “A magical revolver? Seriously!?”
Mirai: “Exactly what about it is magical?”
The strange boy who attacked Mirai reappears.
Strange Boy: “Well, well; this is lucky! I found both Mirai and Yuuki.”
Mirai: “Ah! It’s that guy from earlier! This jerk stole my mother’s necklace!”
Souta: “Souta is no mere human! If you value your life, surrender the Devil Raiser!”
Mirai: “…didn’t I kick your sorry ass a few minutes ago?”
Souta: “D-damn it! You caught me off guard last time! Now behold my true power!”
Souta transforms into the Demon Ratatoskr.
Mirai: “…! What the—a giant squirrel!?”
Souta: “How dare you call me a squirrel! Have a taste of my wind magic! Zen!”
Yuuki: “Mirai! Look out!”
Yuuki uses himself to block Mirai from the attack and instantly turns into a ghost.
Yuuki: “Gah…! Mirai! Be careful… Fire the Devil Raiser and shout ‘Call’ to summon your ally!”
Yuuki: “After this battle… I hid something important in the classroom next to yours!”
Souta: “Stop interfering! Go back to hell!”
Yuuki’s ghost floats away into the sky.
Souta: “The next attack will hit YOU, Mirai!”
Mirai: “Ah!? What should I do!? The Devil Raiser… Yuuki said I could use it to ‘Call’ an ally! It’s worth a shot!”
Mirai pulls the trigger of the Devil Raiser.
Mirai: “CAAAAALLL!!!”
VineCom: “CALL Confirmation… #247 Gryphon.”
Veil: “Bound by my ancient pact… this Gryphon heeds your call! And I thank you for releasing me from my seal. ♥”
Mirai: “A bird came out of the gun! And the birdie can talk! But is it magic or just a fancy talking toy?”
Veil: “Hmph! Humans can be so rude! I’m no toy, nor am I a mere bird! I am Veil—a Gryphon! From now on, I am your Demon Partner!”
Veil: “Oho! If it isn’t Souta of the Ratatoskr! You troublesome squirrel! I was hoping to never see you again.”
Souta: “Right back at you! And weren’t you supposed to be sealed away!? I’ll make you wish you still were!”
Veil: “Bring it, squirrel boy!”
Battle versus Ratatoskr. When Mirai wins:
Souta: “Damn it! How could a human summon a Demon without first making a contract? That’s impossible! Or, is it because she’s—”
Mirai: “Give me back my pendant!”
Souta: “Damn…I can’t win! Here’s your necklace.”
Mirai receives the pendant.
Souta: “This isn’t the end! I’ll get you back for this, Veil!”
Souta leaves, and a boy with green hair appears from the stairs.
Zett: “Mirai? I’m Takazyo Zett! Nice to meet you!”
Zett: “Ratatoskr was trying to steal your late mother’s necklace, huh?”
Mirai: “…???... you know about my mother?”
Zett: “Yup. I also know your father.”
Mirai: “Ah!? Do you know where I can find him?”
Zett: “Yeah. He lives in Makai. Though I’m not sure where he is, exactly…”
Mirai: “Makai? So if I go there, I can meet my father?”
Mirai: “Do you know how to get there? I want to find him!”
Zett: “Sure thing! That pendant your mother gave you is a magic item called a Messiah’s Eye. If you want, I can show you how to use it, and then you can search Makai for your father.”
Mirai has the option to go right away or hesitate. If she remains, she can search the classroom Yuuki mentioned and receive a stash of curative items before returning to Zett. When Mirai agrees to go to Makai:
Zett: “Okay! Let’s send you to Makai to find your papa!”
Zett: “…… Oh. By the way… the two brothers who live in the apartment next door to you—Setsuna and Nagahisa—have been missing since yesterday. Did you hear about that?”
Mirai: “I know those two! …come to think of it, yesterday…
Flashback; Mirai and Setsuna are in their apartment hallway:
Mirai: “Oh, hello Setsuna. …is something wrong?”
Setsuna: “Mirai, have you seen Nagahisa?”
Mirai: “No. Did something happen?”
Setsuna: “He was abduc—ouch! Uh! Nothing!”
Mirai: “O…kay… Well, be careful if you go outside; it’s snowing and really cold.”
Return to the present:
Mirai: “…and that’s the last time I saw either of them. Do you know where they are?”
Zett: “They’re in Makai, too! The Demons captured them!”
Mirai: “What!? Geez, I hope they’re okay…”
Zett: “Anyhoo! It’s time to send you along to Makai!”
Zett: “All you have to do is hold the Messiah’s Eye up like this and say…”
Zett: “Messiah’s Eye! Reveal the conduit!”
Mirai: “Wha—!? Eeeeek!”
[ Dream ]
???: “Gather… … my… is … this… must… awaken…!”
[ Central Land – Central Town ]
Mirai awakens in the hotel in Central Town. Veil, Zett and ghost Yuuki are also in the hotel.
Zett: “Awake now? We’re in Makai now! Your father is here somewhere.”
Mirai: “Where should I begin?”
Zett: “Go to the Dark Palace north of this town, and meet with the Demon King. The rumor of your arrival has caused quite a stir, and I think you should pay him a visit.”
Mirai: “What do you mean?”
Zett: “Oh, you know—just a regular human child on an adventure through Makai to find her father? It’s exciting news!”
Mirai: “I haven’t even begun! How do I even know I can do this?”
Zett: “Well, it begins now! It will be difficult, there are dangerous Demons who will attack you. But you will find your way and learn the truth. I know you will.”
Mirai: “If it means I’ll find my father… I’ll do it!”
Zett: “I believe in you! I’ll stop by to help out whenever I can, yeah?”
Zett: “I’ve already stayed as long as I can, but I’ll definitely see you again soon. Bye!”
Zett disappears. Mirai can talk to Yuuki.
Yuuki: “Do you recognize me? It’s Yuuki!”
Yuuki: “I’m sorry if I startled you earlier… I wasn’t killed back on the school roof; I was a ghost before we met.”
Mirai: “Just my luck… I find a cute boy I actually like, and it turns out he’s dead…”
Yuuki: “I’m sorry… I was asked me to deliver the box to you. I didn’t expect things between us to turn out like that…”
Yuuki: “Oh! I was also supposed to explain the items and other things. Would you like me to do that for you?”
Mirai has the option to listen to the explanation or pass. If she chooses to listen:
Yuuki: “The compact computer is called a ‘VineCom’ and you can use it to transfer six allied Demons into your Devil Raiser gun, or arrange the order of your Demons. You use the gun to ‘Call’ your allies in battle.”
Yuuki: “We are in a land in Makai called ‘Central Land’. This is where the Dark Palace of the Demon King is located. There are other lands in Makai; you will see them as you travel.”
Yuuki: “North of the hotel is a Fusion Lab, where you can alter your Demons. You can form pacts with the Demons you encounter in Makai, and they can be fused at the Lab to become stronger! It doesn’t hurt, and Demons think it’s fun, so don’t be afraid to fuse new allies!”
Outside the hotel, the Demon NPCs will offer general newbie gameplay tips, and mention that anyone who opposes the Demon King will be thrown into The Abyss.
[ Central Land – Dark Palace ]
As Mirai approaches the Dark Palace, the Demon guards take notice.
Demon: “You have a Devil Raiser and Messiah’s Eye! That means you’re—a Devil Child!”
Mirai: “What did he call me!? I’m not THAT delinquent… geez!”
Demon: “Please enter the Palace; the Demon King has been waiting for you.”
Mirai enters the throne room and meets the Demon King.
Demon King: “Devil Child Mirai… welcome to the Dark Palace.”
Mirai: “What exactly do you mean by ‘Devil Child’?”
Demon King: “The mixed-blood offspring that results from the union between a human and a demon… these half-demons are called Devil Children. Mirai; your mother was human and your father is a demon.”
Mirai: “Huh? You know him? Where is he!?”
Demon King: “Ah, well… his whereabouts are… unknown.”
Mirai: “My father was a demon…”
Demon King: “…how has it come to pass, for Devil Children to appear in Makai…?”
Mirai: “Please… I came here to find my father. Can you help me?”
Demon King: “……”
Demon King: “The world of Devils and Humans have always been separated, and for good reason. I cannot allow someone of mixed blood to roam Makai! I forbid you from leaving the Palace!”
Mirai: “Oh. Then can you find my father for me, and bring him here? I want to meet him, that’s all.”
Demon King: “……”
Demon King: “…… dear child… your pure heart has swayed me. If you accept an official mission from the Demon King, you can travel freely within Makai. With this loophole, I can help you on your search for your father.”
Mirai: “What kind of mission are we talking about?”
Demon King: “First, you must understand… Our worlds have been divided for so long that the Demons of Makai has only heard stories of Devil Children. The legends say they can summon Demons instantly, using the Devil Raisers. Their aura amplifies their summoned Demons and they possess incomprehensible powerful. I’m sure you can understand the chaos that would erupt if I, the Demon King, allowed Devil Children to freely roam Makai. It’s very dangerous.”
Demon King: “The Demons who look to their King for protection are scared, Mirai. Another Devil Child who appeared in Makai earlier is reeking havoc and endangering my citizens.”
Mirai: “Another Devil Child…? Like me?”
Demon King: “He is not like you, my dear girl. He is a wicked creature!”
Demon King: “The boy is tearing through Makai, seeking to gather the six Messiah Horns. If he succeeds… it will mean death for all of us.”
Mirai: “How is that possible?”
Demon King: “In the hands of a normal Human or Demon, the Horns are benign. But in the hands of a Devil Child… their power can cause the Horns to seal the fate of all worlds. This Devil Child wishes to destroy both Earth and Makai!”
Demon King: “I captured him once, but he broke out of the Ice Jail he was being held in. As we speak, he continues on his vile quest. Please, Mirai… you must defeat him and save our worlds!”
Mirai: “But how can I possibly do anything to stop him?”
Demon King: “Dear Mirai… you are also a Devil Child. In all of Makai, only you have the power to match his. If you choose to accept this mission, you will have the full support of the Demon King and the freedom to search Makai for your father.”
Mirai: “I understand… to find my father and save the world… I accept your mission!”
Demon King: “I cannot thank you enough, dear Mirai! Please take these Demons to aid you on your journey; speak to them to form your contracts.”
Four Demons are present in the room; Mirai can choose to add Nekhbet, Nisroc, Mizuchi, and Vetala as her allies. Mirai speaks to the Demon King to continue:
Demon King: “Take this first; it will help you on your journey.”
Mirai receives 5,000 Makka from the Demon King.
Demon King: “Take this Blue Messiah’s Eye; it will transport you to Ice Land, the place where the Devil Child is currently hiding. Since the Iridescent Messiah’s Eye is also a precious memento of your mother, I will safeguard it here in the Dark Palace. When you have defeated the Devil Child, I shall return it to you.”
Demon King: “Now… Messiah’s Eye! Reveal the conduit!”
Mirai: “Ah! Not this again!?”
[ Dream ]
???: “Gather… … Keys, my… this world… We must… and awaken… …then… the…”
