Jamie feels bad.

He knows how close you are with your brother. He knows how much you hate keeping secrets from him. But he’s also grateful.

He’s only been back at Richmond for a couple months, and many of the boys are still wary around him. He doesn’t blame them, but they’re all so fiercely protective of you that his biggest worry what’ll happen to him, to your relationship when the cat is let out of the bag.

Your biggest worry is how Dani will take it. Dani isn’t the stereotypical ‘i’ll-kill-anyone-who-looks-at-her’ big brother, but he does take shielding you from the press very seriously. And dating Jamie Tartt? That’ll put you right in the spotlight.

The both of you are reaching the end of your rope, and it’s getting harder and harder to hide it.

So Jamie does the only thing he can think of. He talks to Ted.

He takes his time changing after training, carefully packing everything in his bag, a flimsy but effective way to stay after everyone has gone. He also keeps an eye on Roy, whom he’s paranoid knows Jamie is hiding something.

But the older player simply strolls past him, ignoring him as usual, and after Jamie strains his ears to make sure he’s gone, he bolts into Ted and Coach Beard’s office.

Ted looks up from his computer with a start, Beard’s attention suddenly also on Jamie. He feels the heat rise in his cheeks, but Ted simply smiles. “What can I do for you today, Jamie?”

Jamie takes a breath, and right before he speaks, he spots Nathan coming back in the locker room. He closes the door gently, turning back to the two men.

“I’m gonna be totally honest, I’ve been dating Y/n for two months now,” he starts, and Ted leans forward.

“But the thing is, nobody else except for Keeley knows. She really wants to tell Dani, and she’s not telling him because I asked her not to, but I can tell she really wants to, but what if the team beats me up? Like what if Dani is still mad at me for being such a twat and he gets the whole team to beat me up? Roy especially, he would like totally punch me in the balls and then Dani would make me break up with Y/n, but I don’t want to break up with her, but I also don’t want to get beat up, y’know?” Jamie rushes, his words tripping over each other.

Ted takes it in, leaning back in his chair and nodding. After a few moments of silence, he turns to Coach Beard.

“Coach?” He asks.

“Yeah, Coach?” Beard answers, eyes not leaving the chess game on his phone.

“Do me a favor, Coach.” Ted asks, starting to smile.

“Anything, Coach.”

Ted’s grin widens. “Call the Diamond Dogs together please Coach.”

Beard gives a nod. “You got it Coach.”

Jamie looks between them, not a clue as to what’s happening, when Nathan glides into the room, seating himself on the shelf next to Jamie. Jamie looks at Ted in confusion, but Ted just keeps smiling.

A minute later, Higgins also enters the room and gives Jamie a nod. Simultaneously, the four men start barking, and Jamie’s ready to leave when Ted speaks again.

“Fellas, turns out Beard was right. Jamie is dating mini-Rojas,” Ted says, and for the second time in five minutes, Jamie’s face heats up.

“Problem is,” Ted continues, “he’s not sure how well that’ll go over with the team, and frankly, neither am I. Ideas?”

Jamie raises his hand, and Ted points at him. “Yes, Mr. Tartt?”

“First off, the fuck is happening. Second, the fuck is happening?” Jamie asks, tucking his hands under his shirt.

Higgins grins. “We are the Diamond Dogs, and we are here to help! With your dilemma. Your Rojas Hassle, of you will.”

Jamie shook his head. “Whatever. Do I tell him or not?”

Nathan raises his hand. “Well, what I see the worst-case scenario being is the team ices you out for maybe another couple months. Do you think Y/n will side with you during that?”

Jamie twists his fingers under his shirt. “I mean, I hope so. I would be sad if she didn’t y’know cause— well she…” he trails off, his head filled with his favorite memories of the two of you.

“She inspires me to be a better person, and I think even if we had to break up cause Dani said so, I would still want to be better for her and then if I am better maybe Dani and the team’ll see that and they’ll let us date again?” Jamie looks up, glancing around the room.

Ted slaps his hand on the table. “Well lookee there, I think you’ve solved your own problem! And with limited help from us! I declare the Diamond Digs meeting over!”

Jamie begins to smile, a bit of the weight on his shoulders lifted. His smile faded when every other person in the room begins to bark, and with an eye roll, he leaves.

When he gets out, the cool breeze biting at his face, he sees you, waiting by your car. You’re chatting with your brother, who’s telling some sort of training story. His hands are flailing everywhere, and you’re giggling.

He takes a deep breath, then walks over. When he reaches you, he snakes an arm around your waist. You look up at him, the question in your eyes.

When he nods, that inquiry on your face is replaced with his favorite look: that shine of joy in your eyes, and you turn back to your brother.

Jamie takes a breath to explain, but before he can, Dani hugs him. “¡Felicidades! ¡Bienvenido a la familia, cuñado!”

Jamie looks to you for the translation, and smiles slightly when he notices your face buried in your hands. “Something you want to tell me, love?” He asks.

“He called you his brother-in-law,” you say, your voice heavy with embarrassment and muffled by your hands. Jamie’s grin widens.

“Should we plan the wedding then?” He asks. You groan loudly. Dani suddenly turns serious, and Jamie gulps. Has he overstepped?

“Por favor, do not make me wear those horrible dress shoes,” he says, his hands clasped together in front of him.

This causes you to laugh, and Jamie’a grin reappears.

The reaction Dani had was certainly not the reaction he forsaw, but it was definitely better than the one he expected.

Although this chapter is rather small, I feel like a lot happens anyway. And everything that happens in this chapter is leading up to something bigger within the next couple of chapters. 👀

Some things I wanted to bring up- The personality stats still aren’t up 100%. I’m not exactly happy with how the coding is working, so I’m going to have to change a few things between now and the next update. 

But, speaking of the next update, I wanted to bring something to your guys’ attention. As of right now; I’m working [Only part-time because of my health problems], going to school full-time, and working on 2 different IFs. I have noticed that the quality of my chapters has gone down a bit since I started doing all this work. 😓 Even though SoS is free, and will remain free even when fully published, I don’t want to put out work that I’m not happy with. And I know that I said SoS will be smaller than DP, but it’s starting to look like that is not going to be case. 😂 So basically, I may have to change the updates to every other month, not monthly. I know you guys will be super understanding on this… I just wanted to give a heads-up, in case it ends up happening. As of right now, I’ll just continue working how I have been working, and see where it leads at the end of April. I’ll let you guys know what I choose to do by then!

DANI HELLO!

I'm happy to report that exams and assignments are out of the way and summer has officially begun! This has been probably the worst month ever, and the next exam season will probably be even worse, so I'm really looking forward to resting.

On a happier note, I've had the chance to make amends with some old friends, express long suppressed feelings (under the slight influence of alcohol but still!) and I'm on my way to a reading seasion with some friends so it wasn't all bad.

I can't believe you're in the middle of LDV and I haven't even started reading it yet! I'm definitely binge reading it tomorrow, be prepared to get spammed by reactions.

How have you been? How is work and life treating you? I really hope you have another deserved holiday waiting for you this summer.

Work has been okay. I have travel coming up in July and August - which I'm not fond of - but I get to visit too new countries which is always nice 🙂

We don't actually do summer holidays here (because it's summer for us throughout and our holidays are usually in April, August, and December. I am hoping to find some time to do a weekend getaway so I can chill in the pool and maybe write - hopefully, there will be time after the work travel!!

Okay thinking about Jaime/Roy/keeley wedding thoughts. I actually think Jaime is secretly devastated about not getting a big white wedding. (Doing it right in a way his da never did for his mom, you know?)

I actually kind of envision keeley and Roy surprising him with a big commitment ceremony with the team-Roy in a black suit, keeley in hot pink dress, and a white suit for Jaime to wear. They brought his mom and (cannot remember stepdads name!) in and Roy puts his grandad’s ring on Jaime and pretends not to cry about it.

Keeley gives him a big honking flashy diamond to wear on the other hand.

(Roy gives Keeley pink and gold diamond ring that Rebecca helped him pick out, and Keeley gives Roy a tungsten band after spending weeks figuring out what counts as “an impure metal”)

They thought he would be upset about not having rings for them but turns out he had gotten them months ago and has been upsetty carrying them around—black carbon fiber for roy (non metal!) and a rose gold ring with a heart shaped diamond (I am imagining in the tension setting so each arm of the ring holds the diamond in place).

Sam gives a best man speech for Jaime. Rebecca toasts Keeley. Highlight is Phoebe declaring she is Roy’s best man and proceeding to bring the house down. Isaac sobs.

🥹 I would def read the fic of this. Very, very cute! I love the thought put into each of the rings. Phoebe would totally go crazy over an uncle roy wedding/commitment ceremony :)

I think I tend to imagine any royjamie/ot3 relationship stays largely secret for maybe longer than other people. Like, in my head if they do come out/make the relationship public it's not until after Jamie retires, and meanwhile only their immediate families and a few people at Richmond "officially" know--Rebecca, the other coaches, and Jamie's closest friends on the team (which is a little more hard to pinpoint because Jamie seems close with everyone, lol, but he would at least tell Sam & Dani). Everyone else might guess (and Will definitely walks in on JamieRoy making out in the boot room at some point) but it's not really discussed or openly acknowledged you know?

However I absolutely eat up big Richmond family fluffy interpretations too so I do love this :)

Just read the first chapter of someday.

First of all. I love the name; I love the theme. There’s something about hoping for a better future/realizing it’ll all kinda just be an extended version of the present that’s very heartbreaking. I liked your note at the end about feeling like you’re still you and you didn’t really change. I feel that so deeply - I don’t think I’m at all separate from the me that was 6 and 12 and 15 like they’re all me. So yeah, very cool. I’ve added a bunch of my thoughts in no particular order:

^ I love when characters are stuck in a physical place that is a metaphor for a time of their life or/and an experience or/and also very much that physical place. To me canon Bruce and Jason have never left Ethiopia.

“I know it is my father's first time on this Earth, too. And I know He had it worse when he was little. But I was little too.” etc etc (I assume it’s a reference to- love it. Steph’s relationship with her father is so interesting to me)

The bit about Dick wanting to gaslight Gotham into thinking Damian’s always been there 😭 he WOULD lol

A pleasure to see Dani again! I love her sm :3

Also: the story of Omelas, and how Jason doesn’t even really think about the moral argument of it, but is really mainly stuck on that one phrase. Very interesting window into his character.

Anyways. I loved this first chapter! Excited to see what comes next :)

that whole bit at the end of chp 1 came about bc I was looking at old journals of mine from elementary school and middle school and high school and realized I kept making goals for myself. kept writing down my hopes for the future and I wrote, so so many times, "I hope I'm better, someday" and I was sitting there and I couldn't have looked at my younger self and said "you are" bc I'm not. and I came to the understanding a long time ago that you can't cure yourself of a bad childhood, you can just try to have a better life and hold that small part of yourself more gently than any adult ever did. but I was mad about it, and I still am

that "but I was little too" was EXACTLY what I was referencing. 100%. entirely. I think about that a lot, whenever I try to think kindly of how my dad acted when I was a kid. bc he was in a really bad situation, but I was little too. idk I feel like the older I get the more nuanced my anger with my parents gets. bc they were too young to get married, they shouldn't have had kids. they were kids once, and life crushed them. ("I'm still angry at my parents for what their parents did to them" etc)

I think Dick's right, they should just pretend Damian was always there. I think the socialites would be too embarrassed to try and call it out. Vicki Vale would have an aneurysm

my thing with Omelas was that, Jason already thinks about those morals a lot, and he has kind of already decided that he doesn't think it's okay and something should be done about it. the comfort of the many isn't worth the pain of one. maybe the other kids are experiencing that dilemma for the first time, but Jason isn't. so that one line is really the thing he focuses on, bc he's not having that moral debate. he's trying to figure out if he's already been broken beyond repair, he wants to know if he's known too much fear to ever be free of it

At this point the show already lost all its sense to me, like 🥹. I honestly liked some changes in Season 1 but this time???

But you know what would even be a funnier twist that everyone (esp the T4rg stans) wont see coming? Randomly adding the House Whent theory and reveal that Alys and Aemond did have a child, the child founded House Whent, so yeah, even the Starks are now secret T4rgaryens and Arya could now fit the prince that was promised prophecy and line it with the GOT ending, its bittersweet because the last Starks dont know and the Greens won in the end 😂 thats the only ending I can now accept from this chaotic writing

I actually didn't like S1 much either. I didn’t really care about the characters from either 'side'. I had signed up for the show assuming two terrible sides will fight eachother to death leading to the downfall of targs. But what I got was miscommunication, mistakes, accidents and some more mistakes...

You will dislike this part of the answer anon because I would absolutely hate it if they went with Whent theory 🤣 sorry but I don't need any starks to be secretly targs. One is enough lol. Not even to spite targ stans i would ever want it to become true. Bcs be it team green or black they are still Targs? ( although hotd tries to push the hightower usurping targs nonsense lmao)

I just find that prophecy theory very funny tbh. Especially since there wasn't any special targ who saved the world in GOT. It was mostly collective effort with Arya delivering the final blow.

I dont think the hotd writers are smart enough to even consider it but my delusional interpretation is targs kept believing in their own exceptionalism with special targ prince that was promised saving the world and fulfilling prophecy but in the end it wasn't what happened and they killed eachother over nothing. Which is very targ thing to do lol

Because we as audience already know what happened later. They are mostly hinting at Jon, with Aegon being his show name. But we know although he played a part in battle he wasn't the one who killed night king.

If they are hinting at dany then that's funnier because her dragons couldn't kill white walkers. They did help WW in crossing the wall though 🫠

But knowing how stupid the writing has been so far i highly doubt they care about maintaining consistency with show canon of GOT or criticizing the targs so it's better for me not to take this show seriously and stop watching it till cregan shows up in the end 🤣

i will write a whole thing about this to go along with my official silver quill verse post. but, typically, in the bookstore, you can expect to see quite a few people! so, irri and jhiqui work in the cafe and sometimes even help dany out when the store is busy. or, if the cafe is slow, you can find them hanging around the store or sitting behind the counter and chatting with dany! barristan has like an unofficial-official seat right by the counter, where he can see the door and keep an eye on dany. he's almost like the unofficial-official security at the bookstore, but really, he just wants to protect dany; between making her rounds, dany will pause to bring barristan coffee and tea and pastries and lunch from upstairs just because she adores him! she keeps whatever book he's reading on the counter for him. and . . . the cushion on dany's chair is from barristan. her three (very spoiled) rottweilers can sometimes be found standing behind the counter with dany or napping at her feet or curled up in the little office/storeroom behind the counter. they're super well-behaved, and dany loves having them with her 🥹. you've probably seen missandei, who is a classics student at the local university, working with dany! she very faithfully helps to run the counter! she's just excellent at everything she does in the store, and her recommendations are superb; some even think she's read every single book in there (she probably has). sometimes, jhogo, aggo, and rakharo come to hang around in the cafe or lean against the counter, volleying jokes and stories with dany and the girls. when they get too rowdy, dany will drop books into their hands and send them off to stock the shelves (with the promise of something yummy from the cafe). they don't mind. and of course, there is daario, who swaggers in and flashes grins and his gold tooth at dany and makes her heart flutter (and barristan huff from his seat).

So what do you think Gina’s Halloween costume is? Ricky seems to be a lifeguard but I can’t really tell for Gina.. Also how are you feeling about this being the last season? I’m devastated but also I’m glad they knew and could do the characters justice and it wasn’t like a sudden cancellation where we don’t get a conclusion. And Rina seems happier than ever, my babies! So I’ve already made a couple of posts regarding my theories around Kourtney and Rina. But I definitely have lots of other thoughts around the trailer I’d be happy to share!

-credit to @blues-valentine for coming up with a theory about how Mack and Dani are basically going to be the Rocketman and Tiara of the show. (Go to my Kourtney hyperlink and there is a hyperlink of their post within that for more info)

-I think we are going to get Zac Vanessa and Ashley as guest stars but probably only for the first or last episode. It will probably be some short little cameo of them either watching HSM4 from home or denying the offer to return to the movie or maybe they show up to the scene where we see Corbin Monique and Kaycee dancing.

-in this scene, I talked about Ricky’s reaction in the hyperlinks above, but some of the reactions are interesting. I think Kourt and Carlos are excited for the fame, but Emmy seems upset and Miss Jenn kind of does too. I wonder if Miss Jenn feels either stepped on because she just planned this massive HSM3 show or if she is shocked/excited because she gets another chance to be in the movies?

-I found this scene really interesting? I wonder if Ashlyn has a solo here. This dance move is typically done in more stylized, story telling dancing. Maybe this song is about her coming to terms with her sexuality?

-some people on Twitter pointed out that jet and Maddox are carrying luggage and Maddox has a badge? I wonder if Maddox got an offer to help work on the film and that’s why they show up to attend East high? (After her work on frozen). Maybe they were so excited they came right from the airport to see their friends?

-Adrian also said they have sibling bants that are funny. I think we’re going to see the ramifications of them making up and being more of an unstoppable sibling duo (it’s giving Sharpay and Ryan). They’ll just be happy and play off of each other and I. Can’t. Wait. 🥹 (it would be really cute to see them tease each other about Ashlyn and Kourtney)

-This scene looks like Gina is doing press? This is why in my speculation from the rina hyperlink above I also think Gina is going to be under the spotlight about her “cheating” on Ej. I think more people were invested in rina’s relationship than rina realized, so now Gina is VERY famous and VERY well known, having to do press frequently because of rumors and popularity from the show. (I think she will also get bigger because she is cast as the lead in HSM4, causing jealous Kourtney and that’s where their beef comes in… more in the Kourtney hyperlink above)

-this is an episode one flashback. Because Kourtney’s plot was so central to Nini’s back then, I have a feeling it probably has something to do with them. Maybe she finds out about EJ cheating to get Nini in the show (it looks like Ashlyn as the other character so she could be talking about EJ… especially since that was mostly Ashlyn’s arc s1 too) OR maybe Kourt finds something out about Ricky. Kourt was understandably mad at Ricky for hurting Nini, but she seemed to have a pretty big grudge for him s1. Maybe there is more we don’t know?

-Carlos going from making Gina his co-choreographer to watching her dance and giving “no notes” (a parallel to Gina’s s2 line) is just cute and shows so much growth for their friendship 🥹

(This isn’t in the trailer but I would LOVE to see Carlos pay Ricky back for helping him write a song for Seb, by helping Ricky write a song for Gina… especially where Carlos is close with both of them ❤️)

-I wrote a post about this as well, but in short, I think Ricky is going to go to EJ when he feels so sad about letting go of high school. He wants advice from someone who left, but EJ is falling apart too when he goes for advice. EJ makes it worse at first because Ricky is like “is this what I’m going to turn into??” But EJ will say something that gets Ricky thinking about what he REALLY wants. What his heart tells him. I think this turns into a scream duet between EJ and Ricky (also the Halloween episode… everyone is dressed up in JWBWY attire but as monsters to signify the stress of the play, leaving high school, etc as “scary” or “frightening” to ricky… makes him want to scream!… of course all of this is in his head like it was in troy’s). It’s raining at EJ’s apartment (or mom and dad’s basement idk) so once the song is over ricky drives immediately over to Gina’s house and kissed her in the rain, reassuring her that if he doesn’t know of anything else, he knows he wants her. Maybe they disagree about this earlier in the episode?

-as far as Surfer Ricky™️, I’m confused if this scene is an IRL blooper or one in the show? Like maybe they told ricky they were filming but he was nervous being on camera so he messed up?

-I think it would be interesting if part of the plot was ricky and Gina not being able to clearly get across what couples costume they were going to do. Maybe they both say something and confuse what the other means, showing up in different costumes? If my theory is right, this would be the same episode as scream above^, so maybe rina are on different pages all episode making Gina feel like ricky is unsure of them (bc he’s unsure of after high school), so that’s why the rain kiss happens?

-I still am holding out hope they have a scene where they go back to the party in a matching costume later lol but honestly these last two theories feel like a reach

-lastly I am just mad and sad and confused it’s the end. Tim was so sure and made us believe we were getting more seasons. We have Bart’s cryptic messages. And to release it all in one go? It feels like we’re getting kicked to the side. The only thing I could think of is maybe the episodes are so tightly streamlined they almost act like a movie, where it doesn’t make sense to break them up? I’m confused by it all.

Here you go, anon :) This is such a cute situation to write about, I couldn't resist.

"Are you nervous?"

It was a silly question from Dani, but she had to ask. Jamie was pacing around the apartment, a clear sign that she was thinking about something or that something was wrong. But Jamie wasn't really one to talk about what was making her upset unless she was asked. So, Dani asked.

"Of course I'm nervous. My little brother is coming over."

"So? You've seen him nearly every week since he decided to move here to reconnect with you, and I've met him a few times." Dani said gently, moving to pace across the apartment beside her. It was easier, and seemed to make Jamie feel a little more supported.

"But he hasn't met Lucy yet."

"What's bothering you about that?"

"It's not bothering me, it's just... I dunno, it's a big step. It's all real, then. We've both moved on from our pasts, we're different people now, and it'll make him part of the family for real. Plus, I don't want Lucy to meet him if it's not gonna end up working out. Don't want her to get attached." Jamie explained.

Dani thought about it for a moment, then nodded. "I get it. I do. But Mikey's a good guy. And Lucy's gonna love him. And he's gonna love her."

Jamie sighed softly, finally stopping. "I hope you're right."

"I'm always right."

Jamie smiled and kissed her cheek. "That you are."

Before anything else could be said, there was a knock on the door. Jamie took a deep breath, nodding for Dani to go get Lucy. Then, she headed to open the door.

Standing there was her little brother, Mikey Taylor. It was fairly obvious that they'd both inherited a lot of their mother's genes, he looked a lot like his sister. He had the same curly brown hair, the same eyes, and a somewhat similar face. The biggest difference, really, was that he was much taller.

"Hey, I hope I'm not late." He smiled.

"No, you're not. Dani's just going to get Lucy now. I think she was playing in her room." Jamie nodded, letting him in. She noticed a small gift bag in his hands. "What've you got there?"

"Oh, this? I, uh, I brought a small present for her. I hope you don't mind. It's my first time meeting my niece, I wanted to try and get this off on the right foot."

Jamie chuckled softly. "She'll be delighted, I'm sure. The kid loves presents, no matter what they are. She finds something interesting in everything."

"She definitely didn't inherit that from you, then." Mikey teased, with a big grin. "I may not remember much, but I do remember some things."

Jamie rolled her eyes playfully. "Piss off. You've got a point, though. She definitely learned it from Dani."

As if on cue, Dani reentered the room, with little Lucy in her arms. Lucy had just turned three, and was curious about just about everything. So, naturally, she looked at Mikey with interest when she first saw him. After a moment, though, she looked like she was thinking really hard, a bit confused.

"Mama?" She asked hesitantly, still watching him.

Dani shook her head. "That's Mama's brother. He's your uncle. Uncle Mikey." She said gently. Jamie and Mikey shared an amused look.

Lucy frowned, getting ever more confused as she was passed into Jamie's arms.

"Hey, chicken. Look who's here. It's your uncle." Jamie said gently, pointing to him. Mikey smiled and waved awkwardly.

"Mikey?" Lucy asked, looking from him to Jamie and back again.

"Yeah, that's right, baby girl. That's my brother. And look, he brought a present for you!" Jamie smiled, showing her the gift bag. Mikey got closer to that he could give it to Lucy.

"What is it?" Lucy asked.

"Why don't you open it and find out?" Jamie smiled softly.

Together, Mikey and Lucy opened the present he's gotten for her. Inside was a small stuffed animal, a frog. "Your mama loved frogs as a kid, so I thought maybe you'd like them too." He explained gently. Lucy was already enamored with the small stuffed frog in her hands.

"Wow! Look how cool that is!" Jamie smiled softly. "Can you say thank you?"

Lucy smiled excitedly and waved the frog at Mikey. "Thank you!" She giggled, her confusion gone for the moment.

"We're gonna tell her this story when she's older right?" Jamie asked.

"You mean embarrass her with a story about how her mother and uncle looked so alike she couldn't tell the difference at first? Yeah, definitely." Dani laughed softly.

Despite all of Jamie's worrying, it was going well so far. Her nerves were starting to fade as she watched her brother interact with her daughter. It was a wonderful sight, and she hoped that there would be more of these days to come.

Dani, you mentioned that it's ok to write your fic AUs, so I got inspired and actually wrote something for the first time in my life! And oh boy do I feel exhausted. How do you do this? And so well? I managed to write 300 words about Arthur having a nice moment in a theatre, and now it feels like I don't know English anymore.

But basically I just wanted to thank you for being an inspiration. I never written anything for pleasure before, and it's such a nice but challenging experience (like workout) and I'm just glad I tried something new, and it was a part of daniverse 😄.

1~ Do you daydream a lot before you write, or go for it as soon as the ideas strike?

I always daydream lol. that's where every story starts for me. I imagine it until I formulate the vision enough that I can put it into words.

12~ Do you outline your fics?  If yes, how detailed are your outlines?  How far do you stray from them?

not really, but up until recently I've mostly just done oneshots so I didn't see the need for one. I did make one for my newest wip tho, but it's just an overall background of the story and then basic details of what each chapter will focus on because I know i'll probably change my mind as the story develops. and then sometimes i'll add in random lines that come to me that I might use at some point.

20~ Do you prefer writing AUs or canon fics?

it depends on the ship for me. most of what I've written for kanthony exists in the canon world, but I've been more interested in AUs for rhaenicent and damie.

41~ Who’s your favorite character you’ve written?

Even though I've only done like two, I really liked writing dani. but I'm also very fond of alicent.

I knew I wanted to put some cracks into the boys’ relationship for reader to plant some seeds of doubt because I think that’s how Pelle and Dani bond in the movie, because she’s insecure in her relationship with Christian. So it was really fun to write Marko having this instinctual (and accurate!) reaction to reader and then be totally brushed off, only for that to come back later as a way reader tries to relate to him😈

“Ow! What the fuck man?!” Marko turned to yell at Paul while Dwayne and David rolled their eyes, ignoring the terror twins.

“Sh!” Paul whispered with concern.

Marko stared at the blond vampire dumbfounded, “…did you just shush me?” He asked in disbelief, “Paul if you want to sub tonight just tell Dwayne, you don’t have to be a brat about it.”

“No! That’s not it,” Paul whisper-yelled, before pausing, “well…” he contemplated, “maybe we can revisit that conversation later.”

Marko rolled his eyes.

Paul groaned in exasperation, “just look!” He put both hands on either side of Marko’s head and turned it towards you.

You were sitting on the curb outside the video store, periodically alternating between staring at the four vampires and looking down at the drawing pad in your lap.

You were detailing the design of the curly blond one’s jacket. Which is why you didn’t notice them move until the tall blond one snatched the drawing pad from your lap.

Your gaze shifted to him, and you smiled softly as he narrowed his eyes at the contents of the paper. His friend came to peek over his shoulder

“It’s us,” the curly haired one said, his eyes snapped to meet yours, “why were you drawing us?” He asked with eyebrow raised in suspicion.

By then the other two boys had migrated over to see what the fuss was about. They flanked your sides while the jumpy ones stood in front of you.

You shrugged, still smiling, “you’re interesting.” You stated matter-of-factly. “When I find something of interest, I draw it.”

The curly haired one seemed put off by your answer as he stepped back in discomfort, but the tall blond one didn’t seem to share his concern.

“Well damn sugar, you’re lookin’ real interesting yourself, name’s Paul,” he introduced himself while smirking, “that’s Dwayne, David, and Marko,” he told you while gesturing to each of his friends.

You introduced yourself to them, “I’m new in town, and I don’t know many people yet,” you explained, “so I’m very pleased to meet you all.”

Paul sat next to you and slung an arm around your shoulder, “very pleased to meet you too babe,” he flirted.

You returned his smirk with your same serene smile, before turning to the other boys.

“What about you?” You asked, “have you guys been here long?”

David chuckled, “I suppose you could say we’re old in town,” he explained, smirking as the other boys laughed softly at his little inside joke, “always happy to meet new friends though.”

“Ah so we’re friends then,” you contemplated, “how nice.”

Marko shivered at your tone, the hairs on the back of his neck stood on end.

You eyes snapped to meet his, “cold?” You asked him, your head tilted.

“Yeah,” he mumbled, unable to meet your gaze, “breeze must’ve passed by or somethin’.”

“Hmm,” you hummed as your eyes flicked over his form.

You tore your gaze from Marko to check your watch, “ahh, sorry to leave so soon, but it’s getting late, my family will be worried,” you told them, “I’ll see you around then…right friends?”

“Of course sugar,” Paul promised as he removed his arm from your shoulder.

You tossed them a wave as you walked away.

Dwayne’s eyes flitted to the many faces peppered along the boardwalk, “too crowded,” he mumbled, “can’t go after them. dammit,” he grit, “I hate losing a meal.”

David rolled his eyes, “always thinking with your stomach huh big boy?” He mocked, “let’s toy with them for a little,” he suggested, coming around to Dwayne’s side, “you know how much I love to play with my food.”

Dwayne turned his head to peck David’s lips, “and how could I ever deny you your fun?” Dwayne asked, with a smirk stretched across his face.

“Yes!” Paul shouted, “you know I’m always down for a good time,” he waggled his eyebrows, “besides, Marko, won’t you like having another artist around for a little while?”

When Paul’s question was met with silence, the boys turned to glance at Marko. His arms were wrapped around himself, and his eyes were trained on the ground as he shook his head.

“I say we just eat ‘em,” he mumbled, “there’s something off about them,” he looked up, “I can’t explain it, I don’t know what it is, they just seem…unsafe.”

David laughed darkly, “unsafe? Please.” His eyes narrowed as he moved forward to pull the curly haired vampire up by his collar, “we’re. vampires.” He spit, “we are the definition of unsafe. Don’t be a child.” David tossed him back, “I’m the leader. We do what I say, and I say we play with them. Let’s go.”

David and Dwayne walked towards their bikes as Marko kicked at the ground in frustration. Paul came up behind him, placing a hand on Marko’s arm.

“Hey,” he started, “you ok bud?”

“Yeah,” Marko muttered, wrenching his arm from Paul’s grip, “fine.” He mumbled as he stomped towards his bike.

A couple weeks passed and you’d charmed each of the boys.

You’d spent many nights smoking with Paul. He’d been more than happy to try shrooms with you when you’d offered. The memory of him sprinting around the cave away from his hallucination of a ten foot David, never failed to make you smile.

You’d traded books of poetry with Dwayne. You offered him The Wasteland, while he’d gifted you the works of Emily Dickinson.

You’d spent hours listening intently to David’s stories of his life and upbringing. He was happy to have a quiet presence to absorb his many ramblings.

You’d gotten to know all the boys, all except Marko.

Everytime you’d tried to get close to him, he’d seemed to slip away. When you searched for him at the cave, he was nowhere to be seen.

Yet tonight, there he was, sketching away on the lip of the fountain in the sunken hotel. You peered over his shoulder. “That’s beautiful,” you told him.

He jumped back in shock at your words, “thanks,” he mumbled, flipping the cover of his sketch book closed.

You sat down beside him, “are you afraid of me?” You asked bluntly, “you never seem to be around when I visit.”

Marko shot you a disgusted look, “I’m not afraid of anything,” he spit.

You smiled softly, “not even David?” You questioned softly.

Marko leapt up from his place beside you, “what?” He whispered through gritted teeth.

Your serene smile never left your face, “you sacrifice your will for his own, you all do,” you observed.

Marko glared hatefully, “you don’t know what you’re talking about,” he mumbled.

“Ah but it’s ok Marko,” you assured him, “you love him.”

Marko hugged himself, and stared at the ground.

“Do you ever wonder though,” you pondered, “if he loves controlling you, more than he loves you?” You asked, your head tilted.

“Do you fear that his love for you is temporary? That you’re only a passing fancy? Do you fear what he’ll do when he tires of you?” You whispered.

Marko backed away from you in shock, “you’re the passing fancy.” He spoke seriously, “and you should be afraid of what he’ll do to you. What I’ll do to you,” he threatened.

You smiled back, “I’d love to introduce you to my family sometime my friend,” you offered, “there are no power structures among us, only love.” You explained, “don’t you want to be loved Marko? Don’t you want to be part of a family?”

“I have a family,” Marko assured you, “and you are not my friend. I don’t care if you hang around the others, but you stay the fuck away from me.” He ground out, storming off.

You smiled as he walked off, he’d come around, they always did.
