Platonic
Ichiban Kasuga (Yakuza/Like A Dragon)
Aina Uchiyama (Yakuza/Like A Dragon OC)
With platonic F/O's, I am perfectly fine sharing them. If you selfship romantically with them, I'd like to hear about your selfship.
In addition, I am an EX-Anti. I used to be an Anti before I opened my eyes to the fact that I was on the wrong side. One of the reasons being that I faced some massive backlash for shipping Nami and Robin together, and that I wasn't serious because I had one f/o too many. Yes, Nami/Robin is one of the "problematic" headcanons I have, because it is apparently that offensive to ship them together. I now come here as a proshipper.
It also goes without saying, but ANTIS DNI!

one of the things i really like about corrin vs every other fe lord is there's so many more dimensions to her royalty status. (talking mostly about f!corrin here for YRMR reasons but most of this works for any corrin)
like a certian somebody else i really don't like lords/royalty in the series, lol. most of it's petty! i'm a card carrying villain stan, i think most fe lords are boring as hell - i dislike how their popularity always overshadows criminally underloved and complex characters, and i cannot stand the whole 'divine/blood right' trope in fiction because it undoes the messaging of 90% of those works.
so the best part of fates (and yeah, gunter/revelation) was the game actually grappling with that and asking some really hard questions. not to bring in theory but she's easily more ""the Other"" than the other generic FE dude lords from the generic good nation.
for example - what if she's got some screws loose from the kidnapping/mind wipes? (that was hella relatable writing YRMR.)
what's the dragon side that only comes out under extreme emotional duress like? is she fearful/resentful against a part of herself? mulishly grateful it exists as a survival tool as she's a bargaining chip against both nations? secretly spiteful? this isn't exactly the kind of mentality most "heroes" are even allowed to have in writing - it's very survivalistic in nature.
how does she feel about being used as said bargaining chip even with the people who she loves? etc.
even aesthetically she's not quite human. slit eyes, fangs, a certian cool sharpness to her features when she's drawn on-brand.
(and because y'all knew this was coming) having her as a direct foil to gunter - if you like that as the game's focus - how the hell does somebody who have every reason to hate royalty feel about her? raising her? loving her? while he's still hating her vis-a-vis the possession?
she's naive as hell but there's moments of sharp do-or-die moments where she's thrust into impossible situations and the game doesn't make it easy for her. even revelation (arguably the "taking the easy way out of the two choices" route) gives one hell of an emotional punch when it comes to the above. in some weird, weird ways i ironically feel like her complex thoughts about royalty and being used would resonate deeply with gunter and vice-versa, lending a pretty neat plot-emotional "oomph" to their dynamic.
i like messiness a lot and boy corrin has a hell of a lot more messiness than most FE lords.

January '24 FEH Refine Theorycraft
It's a new year and new refines. There's seven since it's Legendary Remix time, let's go.
Corrin: Child of Dusk
Lvl. 40 5 ☆ 41/38/40/34/29 Max Invest 50/47/49/42/37
Primordial Breath: Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). If foe's Range = 2, calculates damage using the lower of foe's Def or Res. If foe initiates combat or if foe's HP = 100% at start of combat, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5 to unit and grants unit Special cooldown charge +1 per unit's attack. (Only highest value applied. Does not stack.)
Negating Fang II - Distant Counter - Shield Pulse 3 / Guard 4- Joint Drive Atk
Negating Fang II: (CD 3) Reduces damage from foe's attacks by 40%. After Special triggers, unit's next attack deals damage = 40% of unit's Atk. (Boost resets at the end of combat.) If foe has the "attacks twice" effect, grants Special cooldown count-2 to unit after first Special trigger per combat.
OH YEAH! This is the one I was looking froward to. I like Legendary Corrin's play style of absorb damage and hit back hard, and now she's getting a refine and remix to match her Halloween alt's power. Guard 4 is great, even if there were other dragon excusive skills she could have gotten. Also, having her proc her skill again on the foe's brave hits mean even more survivability and more counter attack damage. So here's what I'm predicting for her.
Primordial Breath: Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). At the start of turn 1, if foe's attack can trigger unit's Special, grants Special cooldown count-2. If foe initiates combat or if foe's HP > 75% at start of combat, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5 to unit and grants unit Special cooldown charge +1 per unit's attack. * If foe's Range = 2, calculates damage using the lower of foe's Def or Res.
First, I see Shield Pulse is gone. Let's put it in the weapon like Halloween!F!Corrin.
At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+5 to unit, neutralizes unit's penalties and effects that guarantee foe's follow-up attacks, prevent unit's follow-up attacks, grant "Special cooldown charge +X" to foe, or inflict "Special cooldown charge -X" on unit during combat.
As for the rest . . . I got nothing unique. I just took the Negating Fang name to mean Neutralizing, and thus, Null Penalties, Null-Follow-up, Null-Guard, Null Special Charge+. I didn't give her Null-C Disrupt as Null-C Disrupt 4 grants the same 30% DR that Guard 4 has. Make it a one the other sort of thing. I didn't thing she need more DR or more stats since she is already have higher BST then most, and 40% unpierceable DR.
Lilina: Firelight Leader
Lvl. 40 5 ☆ 39 42 21 16 40 Max Invest 48 51 29 24 49
Studied Forblaze: Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). At the start of turn 1, grants Special cooldown count-1 to unit. At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, grants Atk/Res+6 during combat and disables unit's and foe's skills that change attack priority.
Gifted Magic II - Atk/Res Solo 4 - Sabotage A/R 3 - Pulse Smoke 3
Gifted Magic II: (CD 2) Before combat this unit initiates, foes in an area near target take damage equal to (unit's Atk - foe's Def or Res). After combat, if unit's Special triggered, grants [Canto (1)] to unit and allies within 3 rows or 3 columns centered on unit for 1 turn (granted even if unit's HP reaches 0).
Here is Lilina, the AOE killer. Her game plan is to ride in, nuke, and then . . . IDK. Now, she here to nuke harder and then get out of there (by one tile). The best thing she can get now is repacing that Quicken Pulse with Time Pulse, more true damage, and a why to bypass the damage reduction to AOE attacks.
Studied Forblaze: Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). At the start of turn, if Special cooldown count is at its maximum value, grants Special cooldown count-1 to unit. At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, grants Atk/Res+6 during combat and disables unit's and foe's skills that change attack priority.
If unit initiates combat or is within a 2-tile radius of an ally, grant Atk/Res+6 during combat, neutralizes bonuses on foe’s Atk/Res, deals damage = 20% of unit's Res and reduces the percentage of foe's non-Special "reduce damage by X%" skills by 50% during combat *
And I did just that. Really, this seems a bit busted, but Lull Atk/Res is the weakest thing I could add, just to get up to that 8 effects. I do wish her special placed [Divine Vein (Flame)] tiles but oh well, inherit Flame Mirror or whatever, even if Ninja!Sanaki is already a good red tome cavalry.
Merric: Changing Winds
Lvl. 40 5 ☆ 41/34/41/21/25 Max Invest 51/44/51/30/35
Winds of Change: Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). Effective against flying foes. At start of combat, if a bonus granted by a skill like Rally or Hone is active on unit or if unit's HP ≥ 50%, grants Atk/Spd+5 and neutralizes effects that guarantee foe's follow-up attacks and effects that prevent unit's follow-up attacks during combat.
Righteous Wind - Swift Sparrow 3 - Windsweep 3 - Distant Guard 3
Righteous Wind: Boosts damage by 30% of unit's Spd. Restores 10 HP to unit and all allies after combat. (Healing does not stack if triggered more than once per combat. HP restored to allies even if unit's HP reaches 0.)
It's Mini!Merric. He could also be Young!Merric or Child!Merric, but since this banner and free unit had three heroes beginning with 'M' I just call all seasonal banners with the Child Day theme 'Mini!' cuz I love alliteration! Mini!Merric is green tome infantry unit with AC and Flier effectiveness. He also has a per special like Mini!Marth that boost damage by 30% of his Spd and then buff himself and his allies after combat. This let's him heal his allies, if just by 10 point.
Winds of Change: Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). Effective against flying foes. At start of combat, if a [Bonus] is active on unit or if unit's HP ≥ 50%, grants Atk/Spd+6, neutralizes penalties on unit's Atk/Spd, and neutralizes effects that guarantee foe's follow-up attacks and effects that prevent unit's follow-up attacks during combat. If unit initiate combat or within 2 tile radius of an ally, grant Atk/Spd+6 to unit, deals damage = 15% of unit's Spd, neutralizes effects that grant "Special cooldown charge +X" to foe or inflict "Special cooldown charge -X" on unit, reduces the percentage of foe's non-Special "reduce damage by X%" skills by 50% during combat *
Minerva: Princess-Knight
Lvl. 40 5 ☆ 40/36/37/35/19 Max Invest 50/46/47/44/29
Dragoon Axe: Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). At start of combat, if foe's HP = 100%, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4 during combat and inflicts Special cooldown charge -1 on foe per attack. (Only highest value applied. Does not stack.)
Draconic Aura - Dragoon Shield - Flier Formation 3
Dragoon Shield: Neutralizes "effective against flying" bonuses. Grants Atk/Spd/Def+3.
Here's Mini!Minerva. Alliteration! She got Dragoon Shield, which is better Iote's Shield, but other A-slot skills are better. At least we get Distant Counter (M) now. Let's predict the refine.
Dragoon Axe: Accelerates Special trigger (cooldown count-1). At start of combat, if foe's HP >75%, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4 during combat and inflicts Special cooldown charge -1 on foe per attack. (Only highest value applied. Does not stack.) At start of combat, if unit's HP ≥ 25%, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4 to unit, unit makes a guaranteed follow-up attack, and grants Special cooldown charge +1 to unit per attack during combat (only highest value applied; does not stack).
There, she's a flying armored unit with a fighter skill. Guaranteed follow-up, guard, and special charge up. Plus, Atk/Spd/Def/Res+8. Compared to Har, she's a safer, easier to use pick.
Trying something difference this time. I linked in the heading is the originals posts done ahead of time, but now I'm here to rework this theorycraft, to at least work better.
Ferdinand: Noblest of Nobles
Ferdinand von Lance Stoutheart Lance: If foe initiates combat or foe’s HP ≥ 75%, Grant Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4 to unit during combat, unit makes a guaranteed follow-up attack, foe cannot make a follow-up attack, and also, if unit’s Spd > foe’s Spd, neutralizes effects that grant foe a guaranteed follow-up attack or prevent unit’s follow-up attacks.
At start of combat, if unit’s HP ≥ 75% or if [Bonus] is active on unit, grants Atk/Spd/Def/Res+4 to unit during combat, increase damage by 15% of unit’s Spd, and reduce damage by 15% of unit’s Def, and also, if unit’s (Spd + Def) > foe’s (Spd + Def), and foe cannot counterattack.
So, there was one (no, two) too many effects for a 3-4 star. 6 is the right amount while 8 is for 5 stars. Despite that, I added "neutralizes effect that grant foe a guaranteed follow-up attack" since times we have an Arcane Lances that grants both in a Spd check. Then, I made the "cannot couterattack" condition requiring have more (Spd + Def) than the foe. Is it more balanced, still to strong, which effect should I cut?
Leila: Rose amid Fangs
Constant Dagger: Grants Spd+3. Unit can move to a space within 2 spaces of an ally within 2 spaces or a support partner. If unit initiates combat or within 2 spaces of an ally, grants Atk/Spd+6 during combat. If unit initiates combat and is within 2 spaces of a support partner, foe cannot counterattack and unit and support partner swap spaces after combat. Effect: [Dagger 7]
At start of combat, if unit’s HP ≥ 25%, grants Atk/Spd+6 to unit and neutralizes effects that grant foe a guaranteed follow-up attack, prevent unit’s follow-up attacks, grant "Special cooldown charge +X" to foe, or inflict “Special charge –X" on unit during combat, and also, if the number of spaces this unit moved ≥ 2, foes' Savior effects will not trigger.
I'm a be real, I took the "foe's Savior effects will not trigger" from Phoenixmaster1. I thought that Savior interferes with the unit and support place swapping, but it's the "cannot counterattack" that's the issue, as armored units with Null C-Disrupt effects in their weapon can really hurt Leila. A side from that, she now gets full NFU and Tempo, and can warp 2 spaces away from any ally within 2 spaces or 2 spaces away from their support partner, no matter how far. I also bumped up the Atk/Spd to 12 in total.
Kiria: Cool Façade
Mirage Rod: Grants Atk+3. Inflicts Atk/Res-6 on foes within 3 spaces during combat. If unit initiates combat or is within 2 spaces of an ally, grant Atk/Res+6 to unit during combat, restore 7 Hp to unit per attack (even if attack deals 0 damage), and if unit’s Res > foe’s Res, reduce damage from foe’s attack by a percentage equal to the difference x 4 (max 40%).
At start of combat, if unit’s HP ≥ 25%, grant Atk/Res+6 to unit, unit makes a guaranteed follow-up attack, and grant damage = 20% of unit’s Res during combat. If unit initiates combat, after combat, if unit has weapon-triangle advantage or unit’s Res > foe’s Res + 5, inflict Def/Res-6, [Exposure] and “foe cannot counterattack” on target and the nearest foes within 4 spaces until the end of their next action, and grant unit [Pathfinder] for 1 turn.
Alright, I increased the in-combat Atk/Res to 12, separated the Atk/Res+6 and 20% Res-based damage from the "Sessions" effect so it's mixed phase, added "a guaranteed follow-up attack" to that mixed phase part, lowered the Res check, added the "Def/Res-6" to the after combat effect and increased the range of the effect. [Pathfinder] is not that great of a bonus now that [Time's Gate] is a thing, but we can't just give that to her when it's so new. I'd remove the condition to get all these effects if it wasn't so thematically relevant to the Session mechanic for the game.

“I was just hoping you could take a look at something for me...” She approached her younger brother with a large scroll that she’d tied with a piece of twine. “Maybe you could give me a few pointers?”
Corrin unwrapped the scroll and laid it out in front of Leo. It was a map, with what looked like battle plans drawn up, outlining enemy positions and allied formations.
“I want your opinion on whether this maneuver seems too risky.”

Fallen M!Corrin is Better Than Fallen F!Corrin
Bit of a hot take here for me to do, but I’ve honestly have had complications with Fallen F!Corrin for a while, and now that my baby boy has his own, I figured now is a better time than any to get into my issues with her fallen alt and why M!Corrin does it significantly better.
Now I’m not going to talk about their skills and usefulness in battle, mainly cause I don’t care about that at all, I’m going to be focusing solely on design and how well it connects to the thematic surrounding the story of Fallen Corrin. And that’s a good starting point.
I remember back when last years fallen banner was revealed and I saw a lot of people wondering why Corrin was on the banner since they never turn evil in game. I think people forget what the purpose of the fallen banner is; it’s not to show inherently evil characters, it’s to show, well, fallen heroes. Characters who’s mindsets, goals, an ethics were once just, but have been corrupted by a dark force, whether it’d be psychological or external. And, while it’s easy to forget, Corrin is fighting a psychological battle for his sanity every minute of every day.
Corrin’s dragon blood is very potent and very powerful, more so than any of the other royals, hence why he’s able to fully transform into a dragon. One downside of this is that dragons within the world of Fire Emblem are described as being inherently destructive and blood thirsty, something we clearly see with Corrin as his first transformation into a dragon had him go on a destructive rampage and attack Azura. He’s given the dragonstone for the express purpose of maintaining control of these urges and keeping his sanity in check.
The fallen version is meant to showcase what would happen if they couldn’t maintain control, whether it’d be from not getting the dragonstone in time or the dragonstone not being of much help or maybe a completely different reason; it’s designed to show what would happen if Corrin surrendered to their draconic urges and became the monstrous killing machine they dread becoming, especially with the implications that Corrin may have possibly killed Aura during the initial attack. A Corrin who is lost to destructive urges and has become a monster that cannot be stopped, that is the theme to their fallen counterparts.
And while M!Corrin does that job fantastic, F!Corrin not so much.
Now we can finally get into discussing the art for these two and how well they do at showcasing this theme.
Let’s start with their default stance.
M!Corrin has a wide stance and is slightly hunched over, akin to that of an animal, and his tail being out further plays into that. The way its wrapped out to the front of his body with the spikes facing outward not only gives his stance a bit of a defensive feel, but also threatening, as though to let other know what they’re getting themselves into by challenging him. The way his hands are tensed up to look like claws makes it very intimidating and the way his left hand is positioned in that almost “come here” gesture gives a sense that he’s daring you to try to stop his, furthered with the way his right hand is placed in that cocky arrogance fashion that FE has used before. But the most telling feature is his eyes and face. That sense of cockiness is present with the way his eyebrows are raised and the slight curve of his mouth as well as that feel of lunacy with the ways his eyes seem to be different sizes, which anyone who has ever watched anime knows is clue number one that a character is a f*cking psychopath. But the most interesting thing is the dead emptiness is his expression. As though he isn’t truly there mentally, that he’s completely surrendered to the madness and is just a vessel for his cursed bloods madness. It’s downright terrifying and incredibly intriguing all at once.
Overall, this default art is fantastic and does a great job at giving a memorable first impression and teases for whats to come. It’s one of the best artworks to come out of Heroes for not only how well it does at displaying the theme of the character, but for being able to say so much with a single image.
On the other hand...
Alright, so on an objective standpoint there isn’t anything wrong with the default art for fallen F!Corrin. It looks great, it’s nicely detailed and it’s clear that a lot of time went into it. My issue with it is how poorly it does at representing a corrupted Corrin.
I get that the idea behind her design is that she’s slowly wearing herself down trying to fight back against her dark urges, but the art doesn’t do a good job at portraying that. The only real indication of her supposed exhaustion is a single bead of sweat running down her thigh and (maybe) one on her cheek, and everything from her facial expression to the way her arms are placed to her general stance comes off looking “embarrassed” rather than “tired”. She looks less like a woman desperately battling a losing battle to maintain control over her humanity and more like a typical anime girl who was walked in on by her crush while changing. The over-beautification of F!Corrin’s design already doesn’t do much to help with that (but that’s a discussion I’ll save for another day). Even the tail, one of the most striking features on fallen M!Corrin’s design, doesn’t have the same presence. It being mostly behind her not only loses that sense of defense and intimidation, but it causes the tail to blend into her and become less noticeable. I’m not even joking when I say that I didn’t even notice that she had a tail until the third time I saw this art.
Like I said, the art isn’t bad, it just doesn’t do the core theme justice. Rather than looking worn down, she looks slightly perturbed at best. Rather than looking menacing, she looks meek. And rather than fitting into a banner themed around great heroes falling into darkness, this feels like something that would fit in more in a summer or Easter banner (which is extremely ironic considering what I’ll get into later). It’s a build up for a set of art that’s supposed to make me feel sorry for her, but only accomplishes in making me think of how much she looks like me when I’m waiting for my brothers to hurry up in the bathroom.
Once more the dynamic weight and posing in the artwork shines brilliantly in his neutral attack pose. Lunging forward keeps in with the animalistic nature along with his hands once more tensed like claws, one reeling back to get ready to strike. With the way his cape and tail, curled almost like a snake or scorpion, flow behind him create a real feeling of movement and his expression dark but subdued, it makes for this real intense energy coming from his as he lunges for his prey. My favorite aspect being how the shadows form on his face, hiding it just enough to conceal his murderous intent while still allowing the harsh red of his eyes to shine prominently. And while there isn’t any discernible difference in his hair, the way it’s wrapped around his face and flowing to his movement give that much needed edge to his glare. And with the dark purple miasma flowing and highlighting points of interest, it makes for a truly great piece.
This isn’t really a problem that’s singular to fallen F!Corrin, as IS does struggle to give dragon units unique attack art that doesn’t just have the character either standing still or slightly curved with their arms either out at their sides or holding whatever stone they use to transform. So I can appreciate that they tried to do something different with her attack art. But, again, the problem is how it doesn’t fit with what they’re trying to represent.
Her expression is that of either mild annoyance or boredom, giving no indication that she’s in pain from having to fight. There’s no real tensity in any part of her body, having more of a grace and fluidity that is commonly used on dancer units. Her tail is more visible, but nothing is really being done with it. It’s not extenuating anything or highlighting a part of her body, it’s just curled on her legs. And any sense of intimidation is lost because the most threatening part of the tail, the spikes, are no longer in the foreground. Sense of movement is also an issue here. The way her cape and hair are framed makes it feel like she just jumped off of something and is having a rough landing and there’s no feeling for how she moved to attack, no ferocity in her actions. Again, it’s akin to more of a dancer than a feral dragon.
And this is small nitpick I have, but it really bugs me. I don’t like how the purple miasma for F!Corrin is lighter than M!Corrin’s. It might seem like a minuscule thing to be worried about, but the darker tone on his gives a real feel of dread and despair. The lighter tones are hers don’t stand out as much and don’t give any real negative emotion to her state. Yeah, she’s supposed to be fighting to maintain control, but having them be darker would help to represent that desperation and hopelessness. You can still have lighter hues, but they need to work in tandem to the darker colors.
Because when you do, you get beauty like this.
Just look at this masterpiece. The lighter purple flames mixing well with the darker flames, coming together in the center like a twisted mockery of where the dragonstone would be in any other art, curling around his body like a charging beast quickly closing in on you. His eyes glowing an ethereal mix of his natural red and the miasma around him, giving them a horrific shine that stand out a mile away and full of pure demented blood lust. And his mouth; wide open, fangs bearing in a horrific grimace, ready to sink into whatever stands in his way.
I don’t usually throw this term around, but I don’t hesitate to use it here: this art is flawless.
This art, however, I can’t attach flawless to. The mix of purple and dark pink and the lighting it casts does look really good, but it’s an intense mix to a subdued reaction. Her eyes don’t look anymore ferocious than they do on any of her other alts and there’s no glow to them to make her look like her darker urges are beginning to influence her. The clawed hand could be a cool feature, but it’s hard to see since it’s being blocked out by all the pink! I actually didn’t even notice that her hand was clawed until I looked up her artwork for this post! Such a distinguished feature shouldn’t be this hard to notice. Not to mention, even if the claw was more visible, it doesn’t hold the same level of intimidation as her male counterpart due to how thin and spindly her arms and hand are. This feels like a slight upgrade to her original forms special art and is extremely disappointing.
After the Adrift banner, I am pleased to see a M!Corrin alt where his damaged art doesn’t tear his clothes off. But even with the minimal physical damage, you can’t deny how good this looks.
The rips on his left hand give it a jagged look that nicely compliments how tense his hand is.His right is clawed and raised, poised to attack and surrounded by the miasma in a way that highlights it without overshadowing it. His tail raised and thrashing about in a fit of rage, further complimented by his crouched over stance and, of course, his face. Corrin’s facial expressions across each form of his fallen counterpart has been his best feature, and this is easily the best of the four. That look of pure, unadulterated, unrelenting rage is so disturbing and amazing at the same time. Damage art in Heroes typically has the character looking shocked, sad, perturbed, or not phased by it. This is the only damage art I can think of where the character is f*cking pissed. That is a look that screams “I”m going to f*cking annihilate you for doing that” and it’s utterly glorious.
Oh boy, this art.
Nearly everything I praised about M!Corrin’s damage art is the exact opposite for the female.
The stance is very generic and holds no emotion other than “Ow, I’m hurt”. Her facial expression doesn’t register pain at all, looking more like she’s inconvenienced because someone splashed water on her. Her tail, despite being very dominant, is just sitting there with no fluidity. Physical damage is far greater here, but all it does is distract the viewer who is too busy getting off to her exposed legs and thighs! And whether it'd be because of shaky perspective or shoddy work, but her hands and arms are distractedly small and thin. It looks like her arms would shatter if she pushed someone too hard.
This is my lease favorite of her arts entirely because it exemplifies the main problem with fallen F!Corrin’s design and why M!Corrin did it better.
It focuses more on making Corrin look cute rather than having her actually represent the theme she’s supposed to be.
The titles for the two Corrin’s are Bloodbound Beast and Wailing Soul. M!Corrin perfectly embodies his title while F!Corrin struggles to just barely hint at. Both of them are meant to show a pure hearted and noble individual being corrupted by the very blood coursing through their veins, yet only one of them is really putting in any effort to properly represent this. And while I can’t give any concrete evidence of this, I feel like the main thing that kept the female variant from properly doing the job was because they got the wrong person to draw her.
And look, I don’t have anything against Sencha, fallen F!Corrin’s artist; they’re extremely talented. But looking at their record for art in Heroes can tell you that they weren’t the right one for this. This is the same person who did the summer and adrift art for F!Corrin (they also did bridal Tharja, but that’s not related here), and both of them have a distinctive style to them. They’re graceful, beautiful, serene, cheerful. Sencha is very good at drawing Corrin very pleasant and lovely. However, Sencha clearly isn’t that good at drawing Corrin miserable and withered. And that’s understandable. Making someone completely shift the genre they’re used to is a serous challenge and it’d be no surprise if they can’t handle it. So, despite my claim that they got the wrong artist for her, I don’t blame Sencha for not doing as well.
Then again, I doubt that this wasn’t a challenge for Argon, fallen M!Corrin’s artist. Their Heroes portfolio consists of mostly seasonal alts for various male characters, though they also did Cormag, which shows that they do more dynamic posing and harsher color saturation. If anything, the fact that they did such a phenomenal job on Corrin shows they got some serious skill at drawing more demented characters. Hopefully they get to do this more often, I need to see more of their work like this.
So, at the end of this long diatribe, I’ll once again reiterate that I don’t dislike fallen F!Corrin for any personal bias towards the male version or because the art is objectively bad. It’s a nicely done art, but one that doesn't suit what the character is to represent. And the fact that fallen M!Corrin utterly blew it out the water in his artwork really made it worse for her.
... Was this all just on big excuse for me to gush about fallen M!Corrin’s artwork?
Maybe.
Now if you'll excuse me, I've got orbs to hoard.

Analysis
With her draconic power unrestrained Fallen F!Corrin becomes a true force to be reckoned with. Her incredibly high BST and stat ceilings make her a versatile unit that can not only take a significant punch but dish out immense damage herself as well.
F!F!Corrin’s Savage Breath further complements her high stats as it grants her huge boosts to all her stats increasing as the number of allies near her decreases. At neutral and with no allies within 2 spaces, Savage Breath puts F!F!Corrin at a statline of 60/43/37/33 unsupported. Her default Atk/Spd Solo further increases her Atk and Spd by +6. Savage Breath’s condition encourages an aggressive playstyle, throwing F!F!Corrin into the thick of battle alone. However, with the right build and support, F!F!Corrin can easily take the heat.
Dancers/refreshers or units with Smite make great support units for her as they can allow her to cross a greater distance away from her team in one turn. Namely, Mordecai: Kindhearted Tiger is the perfect ally for F!F!Corrin. With Sabertooth Fang, Smite, Atk/Def Link, and Spd and Res Tactic, Mordecai can not only single-handedly grant full +6 buffs to F!F!Corrin but also debuff nearby enemies at her landing point after being smitten. This essentially creates a +10 gap between F!F!Corrin’s stats and her opponents on top of Savage Breath’s bonus, allowing her to wreak havoc on the battlefield while taking minimal damage with absurdly high offenses and defenses. Azura: Vallite Songstress (Legendary Azura) fills a similar role, being the only unit that can increase infantry movement.
Because of F!F!Corrin’s versatility, she favors no boons/assets in particular aside from HP. Her optimal IVs will depend mostly on the chosen build.

Builds
Budget/Low Investment
With Corrin’s well-rounded stats and access to breaths she can run a wide variety of different skills and builds to play to different strengths or playstyles. Don’t be afraid to experiment as she can make good use of nearly anything you give her.
The example build on the left keeps Corrin’s default Atk/Spd Solo as it stacks well with Savage Breath’s effect, ideally giving her +12 Atk/Spd on initiation. The conditions for these skills are most easily met in the player phase, so giving her Desperation as well allows her to tear through bulkier units that she can’t kill in one hit alone. Pairing Heavy Blade and Glimmer allows her to fully charge and activate Glimmer every time she initiates with Desperation, heavily increasing her damage output.
The build on the right is geared more towards her balanced offense and defense, using Fury to grant raw stats all around. Fury’s recoil damage can compromise her ability to stay standing, so using Vantage opens up the opportunity to OHKO opponents and thus avoid taking more hits than she would like. With all effects fully active, this build puts her at a whopping 70 Atk in addition to 46/47/43 Spd/Def/Res. Her special can be swapped for Glimmer for more frequent special procs or Noontime/Sol for sustainability.
Corrin’s other Sacred Seal options include Smoke skills, Flashing Blade, Quick Riposte, Stance skills, Darting Blow, Brazen skills, Close Def, and buff skills. Corrin may find it particularly difficult to make the most of buff skills since she will often want to be off on her own, separate from her allies.
Distant Counter Enemy/Mixed Phase
With her dragon typing and incredible stats Corrin makes an excellent Distant Counter user. She’ll make quick work of her foes and tear down any enemies that initiate on her.
The first build uses Null C-Disrupt to further narrow the amount of units that can attack her without risk, namely Dazzling Staff or Firesweep weapon users. Quick Riposte grants her a failsafe if she fails to naturally double and allows her to take a Spd bane with little regret. Because Corrin already has plenty of Atk, using Sol over an offensive special allows her to stand against hordes of enemies even more confidently by being able to replenish her HP, especially as it may bring her back above Quick Riposte’s HP threshold. If Dazzling/Firesweep threats aren’t much of a concern, Null C-Disrupt can be replaced with Quick Riposte to open up her Sacred Seal slot or with other powerful enemy/mixed phase B Skills, such as Wrath. Atk Smoke’s AoE debuff will allow her to take even more hits.
The second build uses Aether and cooldown acceleration to increase both her damage output and sustainability without losing consistency. Once Aether has been activated once it will essentially be on a cooldown of 3 from that point on. She can then activate it in every round of combat by taking one hit, counterattacking with Heavy Blade to fully charge Aether, then proc Aether on her follow-up attack. However, without Quick Riposte, this build will rely on Corrin’s natural ability to double through her Spd.
The last two builds use Lightning Breath+ instead of Savage Breath to free up her A Slot and allow for more traditional dragon tank sets using powerful skills like Steady Breath or Distant Def 4 as shown. Experiment with different defensive/enemy phase skills and see what works best for you as they all have their own benefits and niches.
Player Phase
With excellent offenses especially thanks to Savage Breath Corrin can be used as a player phase sweeper with ease.
The first build is a more traditional player phase set, using Fury 4, Desperation, and Brazen Atk/Def to allow Corrin to hit hard and fast by making the most of Fury 4’s recoil damage to gain Desperation and Brazen’s benefits without having to take hits first. Desperation is the main crux of this build making her other skills flexible. For instance, the A Slot can be replaced with skills like Sturdy Impact, Flashing Blade 4, or her default Atk/Spd Solo. The Sacred Seal can be replaced with skills like Darting Blow or Heavy/Flashing Blade.
The second build uses Corrin’s high Spd to constantly charge and activate Blazing Wind (or any other AoE special of choice) thanks to Flashing Blade and Special Spiral. Once it has been activated once, Blazing Wind will have a CD of 2, which only takes one Flashing Blade-accelerated attack to recharge. Because AoE specials are non-lethal, Corrin will always attack after activating Blazing Wind, essentially allowing her to use it every single time she initiates assuming she passes Flashing Blade’s Spd check. Hardy Bearing prevents Vantage users from retaliating against Corrin in between her activating Blazing Wind and her actual attack. Stacking skills that grant her special charge at the start of battle, such as Infantry Pulse, Ostia’s Pulse, Quickened Pulse, and Velouria’s weapon, Wolfpup Fang, can allow Corrin to spam Blazing Wind from the start without having to manually charge it first.
Smite/Link Duelist
Because Savage Breath’s stat boost relies on being separate from her team, Corrin won’t be able to stack AoE buffs like Drives or maintain visible buffs like Tactics on consecutive turns as easily without giving up Savage Breath’s stats. This build uses Bonus Doubler to make the most of the turns when she does have those buffs, notably from Link skills with the aforementioned Smite strategy.
Using the example of Mordecai and his default B skill, Atk/Def Link 3, if Mordecai uses Smite on a Corrin with Spd/Res Link 3 Corrin will receive +6 visible buffs to all of her stats and thus receiving an additional +6 with Bonus Doubler on top of the +6 from Savage Breath. This setup then grants Corrin a total statline of 72/55/49/48 with an additional +6 to Def/Res if Close Def is active. On top of this any foes within range of Corrin will be ployed for -4 in all their stats thanks to Sabertooth Fang’s -4 AoE debuff from Mordecai. This demonstrates the incredibly high potential Corrin can reach with her high BST and Savage Breath even without merges or dragonflowers.
It might also be worth noting that if Corrin is buffed with a level 4 Hone/Fortify skill and is then refreshed by L!Azura, she will instead have full +7 visible buffs that are then doubled by Bonus Doubler to +14.

Quick overview
And here we come, full circle of fate with Male Kana as a GHB. I guess it references the fact technically you do fight Kana in the DLC or maybe just because smol angry dragon is scary. Male Kana has a lot going for him, solid stats, even if he’s an all-rounder. Infact thats his only real flaw. He doesn’t shine at much and this gets hampered by the fact he has 0 ivs. Still like all Dragons, he’s born to be good.
Base kit
Like his female counter part he comes with Water breath. A decent breath skill grants +4 to his defences when attacked. Its fairly decent though you are giving up distant counter for it. Brazen def/res Further ups his defences, granting +7 to both defence stats, in battle, when below 80%. With his weapon that’s a whopping +11 to both. It puts them at around 40 each, More than enough to be a mixed wall. Dragon Fang is just bleh on him, the cool down is far too long and his attack isn’t stellar as it is. I really don’t think you should keep it. Finally Fortify dragons is an amazing skill for dragon emblem, allowing him to give +6 to their defences.
If you need a B slot, quick riposte is probably your best bet, access to being able to double while taking little damage is always nice. Otherwise Wrath could be used or things like swordbreaker.
Pros + Cons
+Good stats overall
+Blue is a solid colour for dragons, for the most part
+Free unit!!!
-No ivs and limited Merges will hurt him
-Takes a lot of investment to be truly amazing, though this is most dragons main weakness
-Most people will have Nowi or Corrin F already
Partners
The main Threat To Kana is Naga. Pairing him with a strong red unit who can tank the magic hit and fire back is your best bet. Units like Ryoma, Ike, Ayra, Mia, Caeda, Tiki A/Y can cover his weakness. Other dragons are pretty solid partners as well.
Suggested set(s)
Tight B-rawr-get
Suggested ivs: n/a
Water breath+, reposition, Bonfire
Slot A = Brazen def/res
Slot B = quick riposte, sword breaker, Wrath
Slot C = fortify dragons or any c skill
Sacred seals: close defence
Weapon refinery: All refines have their merits, the best imo is arguably defence, but mixed phase builds will want +spd, and if you want to fight other dragons more +res.
A incredibly bulky Kana set which is pretty cheap too. Kana can use his native brazen skill, + water breath and close defence seal to get a whopping +17 defence when below 80% you’ll have 48 defence enemy phase and 46 resistance (only against Dragons) and thats without your chosen refine. If choosing +def thats 50 defence on a dragon. That means other blues need to do at least 86 damage to break through that in order to one shot him. Quick riposte ensures you double and fire off a bonfire if lucky, which btw at 50 is doing 25+damage. You can also use swordbreaker to make him mixed phased and just to be a red counter, or you can give him wrath, expensive but means a 35 damage bonfire. Thats enough to Kill some units outright like Elise or other Units in the 30-45 hp pool range.
Lighting never strikes twice, but kids do.
Suggested ivs: N/A
Lighting breath+, reposition, bonfire/ignis/aether
Slot A = Steady/warding breath
Slot B = Quick riposte
Slot C = fortify dragons or any c skill
Sacred seals: Atk smoke, close defence, distant defence
Weapon refinery = +def or res have their merits here and really what you prefer
The basic set for dragons, breath skills and QR work too well with the overall amazing stats, and Kana is no exception. I suggest steady over warding but both are sought more for the cooldown bonuses if anything. QR ensures your double and the choice of special again is preference, ignis does the most damage but aether has arena points and recovery.

Design Considerations for the Laguz Royalty Banner:
Choice of Heroes:
The first question is which 4 heroes to choose for the banner. I knew that I wanted at least one of each of the three main types of Laguz - Beast, Bird and Dragon.
I already had some ideas for a Heron Laguz, Leanne specifically, following some conversations with friends. Whilst the Herons are Bird Laguz, they are so dramatically different from the other Birds, that I felt that having a second Bird Laguz to round out the banner would be appropriate.
As to which would be the second Bird, it would be between Tibarn and Naesala. Of the two, Naesala seemed more interesting to go into.
I briefly contemplated having Deghinsea as the Dragon, but Kurthnaga is the player unit and more important to the story, so there really was no contest. It would be rather difficult to justify one of the other Dragons over Kurthnaga, so he was in.
Finally, the Beast. This was really tough, and I came very close to doing Skrimir over Nailah. Not in the least because some of his skills write themselves (Fury and Brash Assault). Ultimately though, I wanted to balance the number of Males to Females on the banner, especially since most of the female Laguz in the games were relegated to minor roles.
Transformation Gauges:
I seriously considered using Special Gauges for Transformations for the Laguz, given how important is to using them in the game. However, it seemed like it would take away from giving the Laguz some cool things. Given that most of these Laguz get or already have Formshift, it would have been extra work for little benefit.
Leanne:
Out of all of the Laguz, I suspect that Leanne will likely be the most contentious, as her power level is possibly insane. I only developed the idea behind Galdrar of Sorrow after the Galdrar of Vigour, so it might be possible to make some changes to dial her back.
I have given her the worst stat total of any character for a good reason. If she gets attacked in combat, she should probably die. To compensate for Galdrar of Vigour, she needs to suffer in other ways to prevent her from just becoming too strong.
As it seems like every character in Heroes has a weapon, there came the challenge of how to approach Heron weaponry. On considering what the Herons in Radiant Dawn had, the Galdrar of Sorrow seemed like my best bet for a weapon.
The low might was a matter of course, then came to translating Worst Biorhythm into effects. Given how Special relates to things like Crits as well as Mastery skills, it seemed like having something that affected that would be interesting, especially as it hasn’t yet been explored. The Panic effect also made sense, as it converts an opponent from being at their best to being at their worst.
The Galdrar of Vigour was trying to work out how you could work Herons as dancers in Heroes, especially since all of them could AoE refresh in their native games. Allowing every square next to the Heron to be refreshed would have been crazy, which left Leanne’s refresh style.
From my experience of playing FE: Heroes, the number of times I’d actually want to refresh two units two spaces apart is really low. Admittedly, if I had Leanne, my playstyle would probably change. The fact that you really have to think about positioning to get full use out of it is really nifty though.
I added Windsweep so that Leanne could actually use Galdrar of Sorrow without dying.
Dancer Heroism was created because late game, Leanne would struggle badly dealing damage or getting kills. This is a way to train her up without actually engaging in combat or blowing through ridiculous numbers of crystals and shards. The reason it is post map is so you don’t just grind her up by continually waiting and dancing whilst the enemies don’t attack. These numbers are the most subject to change, as I just did some rough ballpark guesses on what would be best.
Naesala:
I went with Green for Naesala because of Vortex and its association with Wind Magic.
Naesala’s stat line was actually based around the sword users, and especially the Myrmidons already in existence. This is quite obvious given his great speed and mediocre attack. His defences in PoR and RD were nothing to write home about compared to the other Laguz Royals, so Myrmidons seemed a good fit.
The Great Beak was designed around similar principles to other legendary weapons, high might with a level 2 skill built in. I went with a ploy because it was Naesala, who is rather slippery.
In RD, Tear crippled the target’s speed if they somehow survived the attack. Given that Astra or equivalent would mean that the target was already dead, I wanted some way to still preserve the speed aspect of the attack to help differentiate it from other skills. Tear was the result. Rather unintentionally, it makes Naesala quite good against armoured opponents, but I’m cool with that since he’d just dodge them in RD anyways.
Distant Counter was chosen as a nod to Vortex and Shriek in RD, both of which give ravens a ranged attack/response.
Hit and Run was chosen because Ravens were very mobile in the games, and Naesala has something of a habit of withdrawing when it’s beneficial to him.
And now, I must quote Ranulf:
“Naesala and the ravens of Kilvas betrayed us? Again? “
Hence Traitor’s Ploy. A skill that is hard to use without backfiring and cleaves close to Naesala’s constant side switching in the Tellius games.
Nailah:
Given that Kurthnaga was always going to be Blue, I wanted to round the banner out, so gave Nailah Red. That said, her stats were based more on axe users given her enjoyment of fighting.
Not much to say about Great Fang, it was not something I put much effort into, but still wanted to make impressive for a Laguz Royal. Think of it as a Mt: 16 weapon with Atk +2 built in.
Savage was made to be a Beast Laguz alternative to Astra, so I just went with something in the same vein, originally it was going to be Charge 4, but I seem to recall seeing something about Astra’s cooldown maybe going down. If Astra remains at Charge 5, then this would have Charge 4.
Sturdy Blow was for the brawler in her, and I didn’t want to just do new skills.
Glare was a pain. I was tempted to put it in as her special, but I also wanted to make a nod to Savage. The question then becomes how to handle something like Glare, as petrification is rather good. The solution was to make the trigger condition tricky, and harder to fulfil as the map goes on. Even then, this skill is good, but so are other personal skills. (Power Creep FTW)
Kurthnaga:
The reason why Kurthnaga was always going to be Blue is because Black Breath seems a very natural progression from Dark Breath. Black Breath is literally just a legendary version Dark Breath+. Honestly, I would have liked to do something else with it were it not for the existing version of Dark Breath.
Due to Kurthnaga losing movement whilst transformed, making him armoured seemed like a good way to give a nod to that. It also gave me an excuse to pump his stat line a bit more.
Kurthnaga’s stat line is one of the highest in the game, which is rather fitting for a Dragon Laguz, who always outclassed pretty much all their peers.
Smite was added almost as an after-thought. Once I’d mostly finished with Kurthnaga, something felt missing. I’m not entirely sure why, but Smite seemed to fit the bill nicely.
My reason for Dragon Fang? Dragon, dragon, dragon.
Enduring Stance was there because he was always somewhat tanky, but not much to write home about on the attack.
Finally we come to Black Tide. Yes, it is a copy of Light Breath’s effect, however, this effect was basically what Black Tide did in RD, and much as I might have wanted, Light Breath translates to Black Breath in no sensible way.
It’s kind of sad that Kurthnaga ends up as F!Corrin but better. Oh well, it’s my fantasy banner and I’ll do what I want :D

Bio in his own words in tAll3Shyguy Timeline
I am Demonic Grey Alexander AKA Subspace Alexander. I appeared in the past when I worked with Subspace Askr to Stave off my future Father-in-law's Invasion. What I didn't predict is my Mother-in-law continuing the Invasion of the Subspace Until it was totally taken over. This led him into Hiding. He led his life away from Ther BU until "Battle For Demon World P46: Subspace Askr VS Demonic Emblian Empire" where joined up again with Subspace Askr who now are Subspace Army Traitors. Eventually His future brother-in-law and his future wife were defeated and Creepy Loki, who would become his future wife’s ally to them temporary except for his mother-in-law's loyalists, to escape. Then It came to the other battles in The Demon World After that where I continued to hide my Demonic Grey Nature. He then appeared in "Fall of Malladus" as My Future Brother-In-Law and My Future Wife along with every Demonic Emblian Army Member Loyal to them and Every Demonic Emblian Civilian Loyal to them became free from Demonic Grey Teronica thanks to my help and I got to become my true nature as My Future Mother-In-Law reveals that she is a creepypasta version of My future wife and is a creepy writer. It was also revealed that they control the Terminal BU and there is where they will battle next for the main series of the tAll3Shyguy Timeline. Then I appeared in "Rise of Demonic Emblian Empire Rebels" as a founding Demonic Emblian Empire Rebel. Then I appears in "??" as a ??. Then I appears in "??" as a ??. That's it for now.

“I was hoping to get your opinion on a battle formation. Iago tells me you’re the person to go to for that sort of thing...”
She could have gone to Iago himself, but there was something odd about him these days. He seemed to be avoiding her-- and that wouldn’t be odd if not for the fact that, as far as she could tell, he had actually strangely come to trust her in recent weeks.
Thanks to certain members of her army, Keaton and Peri especially, Corrin was more than used to the odd gruesome sight around camp. It gave her pause, but she tried not to show it, the same way she tried to act less than disgusted at Keaton’s treasures...
“I’m worried my current formation might be too hesitant.” And Melina was anything but.
