Well, nobody’s made a study on it yet, but that’s probably to do with the fact that the Institute’s parental leave technically starts as soon as you find out you’re pregnant. I have no obligation to come into work, but I actually find it quite soothing! There might actually be something strange going on, to be honest, because I’ve started to feel like baby and I are happier in the office.

But so far, no psychic conversations or eldritch knowledge of our forebears. Maybe that’s only in the third trimester?

oh god i'm spiraling thinking about how this is going to make elaine feel after she hears asa did this as soon as she dropped him off! and beth and cara? danny and casper? stevie maybe being the one to find him?? IM LOSING IT

seriously i feel so bad for elaine, she has the least context of anyone in this situation. all she knows is that asa was acting weirder than normal and very secretive, then she takes him home and within hours he takes his life. she'll be rethinking everything he told her that day, i mean he literally said “If I can’t help anyone, then… I don’t know why I’m even here. I don’t know how much longer I can stand to be so useless.” she's going to feel so guilty :(

beth, who has been battling with herself over whether she should let asa be a normal kid with privacy and agency, and who only just convinced caroline to ease up on him a little. and cara??? this is quite literally her worst fear:

danny and casper, who both chose to pursue something for themselves instead of putting their family first like they always have in the past, who are terrified of being far away when their family needs them.

stevie, who convinced asa to look for finn in the first place, and who already has guilt over the way she froze up and watched a woman die because she couldn't jump into action quickly enough. stevie, who will have to be the one to intercept asa's parents at the door if the paramedics haven't gotten there yet.

jada, who we aren't sure how much she saw or knows yet, but the sheer amount of guilt she has weighing her down is already so so heavy. i can't even imagine how responsible she would feel for potentially being unable to save her best friend since the literal day he was born.

and finn??? the real kicker for me is that finn would/will be horrified when he finds out what asa put his family through, all for him. he got upset when asa did something as innocuous as burning family pictures, because asa's family loves him so much and he hates that asa has put such a strain on their relationship because of finn.

but i hope i've made it clear enough that this isn't really about finn. asa hasn't been cycling through antidepressants and seeing countless doctors since he was 12 for no reason; he genuinely does struggle with severe depression, losing finn was just the last straw. asa's ability to see ghosts has caused him so much pain over the years, but finn alone made it worth the heartache. without him, he feels entirely helpless. he's surrounded by people every moment of every day, but he can't connect with a single one of them. so while his motivation here may not have been to die and stay dead, i also can't say that he had a clear enough mind to be worried about the emotional impact this would have on the people around him. he knows that if caroline found his body, she would never recover from that, but even that is only a short-term consequence – he's not thinking about how his loved ones will feel in a week or a year or the rest of their lives. i can't really fault him for that. but the whole thing is fucking tragic :(

im chronically on ao3 and stumbling upon LIAB is something that i will always thank fate for! literally i binge read it the first time I found it back in may and ever since have been re-reading and recommending it to every single person I know! it’s an amazing piece of literature but also illustrates how awful war can be but how good it can get if you have the right people with you! anyways i could ramble about how amazing this fic is for hours (more like days) but just wanted to let you know im super stoked for the next update and can’t wait to see what happens! literally love seeing the reunion between all the characters (especially sokka and zuko) and think everyone’s dynamic is coming together great! you are an amazing author and fantastic writer and i just thought u should know <3!

what is an instant turn-on?

absentminded touches where she's most sensitive, even if they're done without any motive -- chiyo loves physical touch and can be pretty reactive, so if you've got your hand on her thigh just to be in contact? come up behind her and put a hand on her lower stomach just bc you're feeling affectionate? she's thinking about where else she'd like that hand. she's probably flushed and denying it has anything to do with you asdf

but if we wanna talk personality/verbal interactions, she responds well to displays of dominance? if that makes sense? nothing over the top, but it's attractive to her when she feels like the other person isn't giving her anywhere to run or allowing an argument. there's a post i shared a while back about someone helping the op through an anxiety attack, going " hey, hey, just look at me, " and when the op looked away, the other person took a sterner tone and said, " what did i say? keep your eyes on me. " and that's right up chiyo's alley. if she pushes or pulls, she wants to feel the other person responding.

what is an instant turn-off/ick?

considering chiyo is very much a visual person and hands are one of her favorite things to look at ( a normal amount i swear asdf ), she doesn't like to see untrimmed/poorly cared-for nails. they don't need to be manicured or anything, but they need to look neat or she's judging a lil bit.

she also doesn't appreciate a lack of patience. while chiyo is 110% on board to have sex every day once she and her partner get to that level of intimacy, she needs time to get there and will be deterred if her partner pressures her whatsoever. it's a serious matter to her, a stepping stone that likely is either preceded or followed by " i love you, " so being rushed at all -- be it for sex, kissing, or anything else -- is a major turn-off.

when it comes to sex, is there something she NEEDS to happen ( kink, position, etc. ) to get off?

bc chiyo is a switch and has a decently wide range of things she enjoys about sex and her partner, i don't think there's anything in particular that needs to happen every single time. i do think there are times when she's in her head bc of stress, so her partner may need to work a little harder to distract her, cater to the things that they've learned drive her insane. in that case, it's going to be things like taking her from behind, forcing her to watch herself or to make consistent eye contact with her partner, overstimulation, using her for their pleasure, and overall a rougher treatment. she can't be stressed if she can't think of anything but her partner and how they're making her feel <3

I think most of the usamericans criticizing Kamala on here understand all of that and are still going to hold their noses and vote for her. And those who don’t will only respond to that kind of chastising with indignation — it might help you bolster your own feeling of righteousness, but it won’t convince anyone and if anything will just invite hostility to your page. It’s really not worth the energy.

Look I'm just tired of seeing people, especially younger people, talk about not voting and how terrible Kamala is and how she's no better than Trump. I mean maybe they will end up voting for Kamala despite their criticism, but we also have seen in so many elections get fucked up because people threw their votes away. Cough cough**George Bush and Al Gore**cough cough. Just to mention the first one that immediately comes to mind.

Who's your favorite anime protagonist?

Either Haruhi Fujioka or Kusuo Saiki, but honestly I'm leaning more towards Kusuo (keep in mind. I've only watched like. 4 animes so I'm not the best person to ask this question)
