I'm never not obsessed with the fact that io is an incredibly skilled 1800+ year old witch who is renowned for the prowess and known to frequently track down and kill the people who are actively hunting them. and that azzy is a 28 year old human who eats like absolute shit, plays with his own life like its a fun game, and is somehow smart enough and lucky enough to be an actual, serious threat for them.

Inky Cap Mushroom for Funguary 2022.

This is probably my least successful of the Funguary lot, at least by my personal standards. Interestingly, this is very very much harkening back to how I used to draw when I was first really getting in to drawing and first on Deviantart (when that was all the rage and *glomps you* was 90% of comment conversations). WHICH WAS 18 YEARS AGO.

The fact that Sam is both intimidating and sweet (?) to her is making her reel and not know which part to believe, because both of them can't be true, right? She's unsure if she can trust him while being terrified of him. Eventually she'll learn that she can.

Despite the apprehension, she does absolutely take what he says at face value, simply because he didn't kill her and apologizing for scaring her at the pier.

A possible future headcanon, perhaps: I can see him getting her to play a video game or two; maybe actually enjoying time playing them with him. But that's not exactly something that will be easy to obtain. (She's game illterate.)

It would be so funny to have Bruce reckon with his kids' weird forms of schooling. For obvious reasons, a bunch never finished much/are in the process, but he turns to Tim, and goes, "At least you've got your high school--" and Tim gives him a look.

In the midst of babysitting Bruce, concocting a fake uncle, and dealing with vigilantism, and the inability to crawl of out bed after training, Tim hasn't been to school in years.

i think it's so so so great that beating someone up can actually injure and scar you. like from a symbolic perspective. every act of violence leaves a mark on you, chipping away at you with each blow until you're nothing but hard muscle and sharp edges. the hurt you visit on others shapes you in its image.
