#character here is asuka from branch-wdk53 #art #zoom in for some details :3 especially the lineart and with her face #i had to retroactively add the little chess pieces bc i drew her hands and was like. ok. what the fuck is she doing #so something here about being able to control others persnaps... with the red shoes' power and all #also liking her updated hair :3 specifically with this ego it makes me think of her like not maintaining it totally #or letting it grow out since she wouldnt care about how shes perceived - like a red shoes possessed agent wouldnt #this is more corroded-y than just her with the ego but yknow. the themes etc #i could see it happening to her considering how often she gets fucked over by the world #wanting to take agency and just do whatever she likes for a time #the perspective here was all just fuck it we ball i literally used 0 references for this. sometimes i just Do That i guess lol #also! the lineart colors come from some just like. making it all a little bluer type stuff #but i also inverted the whole color layer and put it on top and was like. oh thats awesome #since i just selected everything outside of the lineart for the base coloring layer #it also went into the lineart and made some cool stuff with the parts that were or werent colored behind the lines #i will always find a way to have 20 tags on every piece of art i make o7

WHOS READY FOR SOME CENTENNIALS!!!!!! unasked for explanations below once again

This set of designs is different from Ryan's because i basically just traced my old sketches and redid them digitally to give them colour so there are less design details (sorry lmao)

ANYWAY continuing with the "time-accurate" clothing choices, I'm hoping it's more obvious with loey and neas this time. You have no idea how RELIEVED i felt when i saw neas' third overhaul was in the 2000s. I love details but I have been working with suits for like 30 designs by now.

Because I did these back in october I don't really have proper ref images but if you googled men's fashion for each of their respective eras you should get pretty good results and if you don't im sorry💀

Not sure if it's obvious but they're supposed to "age" with every overhaul, yea im aware my ability to draw people older than 40 is nonexistent-

On that note, I have a more in-depth hc for how the "human" of an engine appears which would explain how loey and neas can "age" but the short version is the "human" is a combination of the maturity of an engine's mentality and the engine's actual age

I do not know enough of the Skarloey Railway lore to back my headcanons but I hc that during their early days, the SR was more strict with appearances, hence the suit jackets and whatnot (kinda like how RWS SR engines all have the same livery)

Towards the SR's later days, the change of directorship and the increasing diversity of their rolling stock led to much more relaxed regulations on appearances. The jackets that the overhaul 2 designs are holding would look similar to the jacket that overhaul 1 loey is wearing, which would bear the engine's nametag and the signature red shoulder pad designating an engine's gauge

Also the nametag and specifically the number badge were details added later when I finished my handel and petah designs, yes I love it a lot that's why i mentioend it.

Overhaul 1 neas is particularly different from overhaul 1 loey because for one they're two different decades, but also the time between his first and second overhaul was when neas had to run the line on his own (not to mention the world war woah...)

I haven't really figured out specific height hcs yet but neas and loey are around the same height as each other but grow a tad with each overhaul

ok SO. hiii first off <22 <33 we don't have EVERYONE assigned a Pokemon just yet but we've got a good chunk assigned!! Let's seeee, we'll send about 2-3 per ask when we feel like infodumping if that's cool? Much shorter descriptions but it'll go by quicker; we'd love to give each facet's assigned Pokemon a whole rambly ask but that would. Take forever RIP FHFNDJDFJ

SO! starting off in no order, we've got Chamomile's Pokemon! (Some of y'all remind us of MULTIPLE pkmn btw jsyk FHDNSJFJD) Jigglypuff, the Frillish line, and Munna! Jigglypuff because of the anime, it's well known for putting others to sleep (and getting PISSED when they do fall asleep lmao), Frillish because it's a jellyfish :3c, and Munna, because, well.

Munna is known for eating dreams! Specifically, nightmares! From X&Y: "This Pokémon appears before people and Pokémon who are having nightmares and eats those dreams." It's one of the very few sleep based Pokemon we can recall, and it holds a very special place in our heart <2 <3!

Next we've got Oath's Pokemon!! The Honedge line!

Honedge is a cool one, it's a living sword! Its dex entries are... Rather dark, as shown in Sword & Shield: "Honedge's soul once belonged to a person who was killed a long time ago by the sword that makes up Honedge's body." HOWEVER. IT IS A LIVING SWORD. As are its evolutions but I'm focusing on just the one HDHDJDJF

We chose Honedge because it is just Very Cool. There's other Pokemon that fit the knight aesthetic (Armarouge and Celruledge, Lucario in a way thanks to the movie Mystery of Mew, and the Pawniard line, for example!) but... What's a knight without a Cool Sword tbh /silly

We'll slooowly get to everyone else of course and these asks will probably become a bit more frequent, but that's all for now! We lov you! <2 <3

armarouge/ceruledge are also fucking SICK, we fuck with ceruledge's aesthetic, but with armarouge's dex entry :3 <33 lucario is our little sibling's main in smash and that's basically all we know about it, that's so cool that it's knight coded in the mew-vie though!! :3 pawniard is such a little guy omg hgkj but we ABSOLUTELY agree, COOL SWORD FOR OATH!!! >:D

I follow so many transmen but how often do I see transmen posts vs transwomen posts? I see so many posts about beautiful women and its lovely to see, but where's the love for the men like me?
