James Potter was many things. He was a friend, a father, a husband, but after being married for nearly 5 years now, he still couldn’t believe he got to call Regulus his.

 “James?” Regulus calls out from the kitchen.

“Yes, my love?” He responds as he walks into the kitchen, coming and wrapping his arms around his husband's waist.

“Did you remember to ask Sirius if he could watch Harry?” James nods, stuffing his face into Regulus's neck, pressing soft, sweet kisses there.

“Mmhm, how would I forget? It's almost our 5-year anniversary,” he says as he spins Regulus around, pecking him gently on the lips.

5 years…

5 years since James had asked Regulus to marry him…

7 years since he agreed to date him…

“It feels like yesterday I was asking you out on our first date,” James says softly.

Regulus lets out a short huff, “Oh my god, I still can’t believe how we met.”.

“Well, I can, because I remember seeing the most kind, beautiful person I’ve ever met,” James says with a huge grin on his face.

“Of course you see it like that!” Regulus says, giggling.
