Anyway hello hi hello! This is Ivy Darling, yes yes he's the apple of Dandy and Wally's silly eyes. A pal of mine made a sort of AU where they made a stork puppet so we could design little fan babies so here we are!!!

TECHNICALLY Ivy isn't super canon to Dandy's story? But Ivy is so very comforting for me to draw if I'm very honest. Just...happy family moments ya know?? Idk idk. He's here and he's just a little guy.

Anywho, the Special Delivery AU that this is based off of belongs to @parrotparfait

OH I ALMOST FORGOT the second child in the sketches, the one holding Ivy's hand, is his half sister Bloom who's Dandy and Gloom's fan child designed by @theknifeclown jknfdjn Gosh the baby au lore is silly.

Now that i'm living in a english speaking country, I realized the hardest part to speak a second language is the phrases.

Grammars you can make do so long people know what you're saying and in writing there are programs to help you. And singular words, i know what they mean but compiling them into phrases?? That's like.. a whole different beast on its own its like learning another language on top of that one

Here's an example im still embarassed about :

I was trying to say how networking works by talking to more people and have your works spread by word of mouth.

But see, i didn't remember that phrase in english. I remember them, in my first language. And the literal translation of it would be 'mouth to mouth'. Which. Ya know. Means more kissing in english than spreading information via speaking to other people

It's a small things but you'll notice it more and more. And this is only phrases. We're not including expressions, what counts as a joke or an insult or a compliment. The thing im thinking about is probably not phrases either idk what it is but it sure is frustrating

Replying to this here so it doesn't get lost in the other person's post but aw man I hope it turns up for you someday. ;w; I probs woulda loved to see that drawing of ST1X regardless of how confident you felt about it but I understand, I often got nervous drawing fanart for other people too. Also it's sad to lose old art, I've lost a ton of notebook drawings and loose leaf printer paper art from my late teens/early 20s because 1) I moved around a lot in my life so a lotta stuff got shuffled around and 2) there's SO MUCH STUFF I never posted. OCs that I maybe drew once or twice, beta versions of what would eventually become a few of the characters I currently have, one-off drawings I made on a whim or because I was bored in class...

I think it was because at the time, back on dA, it got to the point where there were so many eyes on my work that I got scared if people would like something or not, or if a piece was 'finished-looking' enough, and it was kinda paralyzing... so there were years where I would post maybe a fraction of what I drew. x_x In hindsight I was deffo overthinking it, but that's hindsight for ya.

I know some of it's still around somewhere, probably in an old banker box in storage, but other drawings got destroyed for sure because I carried them around in a notebook too much and the graphite smudged off from the paper rubbing together. It's sad to think about, but at least that was only a small number of drawings before I made an effort to clean out my notebooks of loose paper more often. .w.

I'm a lot more careful with my drawings now and make backups of backups (my webcomic is backed up in at least 5 different ways right now!) but idk... maybe if I can dig up some of my old paper drawings one day I'll post 'em or something, might be fun.

I think when I've written all the first encounter scenes for the LoV in my time travel fic, I'm going to then go back and rewrite them as reunion scenes and just post that as an AU of an AU.

I CANNOT with these men and their faces. Just looking at that expression on Louis' face where he almost smiles at Lestat, like he can't help it even in this situation (thinking of Jacob saying that Louis is terrified but also so relieved Lestat is alive and also thinking "don't you look good"), and Lestat turning away from him looking poleaxed, like just looking at Louis has totally derailed him.

They are both such expressive actors,and it kills me every time! You really do get such a sense of all the conflicting emotions they both have here (but especially Louis, given we still don't have the full scope of Lestat in this scene), and I just don't know anyone on TV right now who's doing it like them.
