I just love doing research about environmental pollution's effects on the human body because it starts like "avoid these chemicals :)" and then it gets to "heyyyyyy every single product is trying to kill you and it's in the air and food and water too" and eventually you start learning about blue light and EMF and ultrasonic vibration that your phone makes on purpose and how we're all in a death trap and oopsadaisy there's nothing we can currently do to mitigate it.

Of course two parents is ideal, but frankly I am so tired of single parents being shunned by "pro-family" conservatives when the alternative is the child's death or abandonment. The world we live in isn't ideal, but at least these parents own up to their mistakes and take on the responsibility of childcare instead of running away. So much more noble than men and women on a podcast lambasting people who try to make it work.

developing your ocs is 50% waiting for bursts of divine inspiration like an oracle sleeping next the vapours seeping from fissures in the temple floor and 50% stalking them in your mind relentlessly like a persistence predator until they tire out enough for you to get close and scamper away with the bloody scraps of "eye colour: brown" and "dislikes: people who think they're funny" clutched in your mouth like a hunting trophy

Thank you for the tag, my dear.
Relationship status: ✨Complicated✨
Favorite color: Most of them.
Last song I listened to: Piano Improvisation by Thomas J Curran
Favorite food: I do not have a favorite food, per se.
Song stuck in my head: Nothing right now. I really hope it stays that way.
Dream trip: *gestures vaguely westward*
Last thing I googled: I genuinely do not remember if it was the lyrics to a Chris LeDoux song, the lyrics to an Ian Munsick song, or something to do with knitting.

Get to Know Me // Checking in
Rules: Tag XX blogs you would like to get to know better.
I was tagged by @diplomaticprincess like two days ago. Oops!
Relationship status: Perpetually single (but not because I want to be)
Favorite color: blue
Last song I listened to: Oh, this is borderline embarrassing. I've been listening to a lot of podcasts and YouTube videos recently so I just had to check my iTunes app to see what I last listened to and it was "One Week" by Barenaked Ladies, which had been mentioned in the podcast I was listening to at the time.
Favorite food: Pad kee mao
Song stuck in my head: Well, now it's "One Week" by Barenaked Ladies
Dream trip: Ireland
Last thing I googled: I was checking my spelling of "ankylosing spondylitis"
Tagging: @lightthewaybackhome, @bookishbrigitta, and @smallblueandloud

A spoon's only objective in life is to make soup go upwards, and it knows this. That's why when you put one under a running tap it blasts the water way high. The spoon thinks there's suddenly TONS of soup to deal with and it freaks out.

This still holds true, by the way.
By the way I think you're a really great person, sweet and kind and thoughtful, and I'm so glad to be your friend.
!!!
I had to read this a hundred times and think a really long time because I was speechless at first. I love you so much, my dear. <3 <3 <3

GRRM may write more women than Tolkien, but as a woman I would feel much safer in Tolkien's world, and around the author himself

Wasn't a fan of the jumpscares or the zombies (because mummies they were not) or the rather grotty deaths or the way not a single person in the entire movie had even a grain of sense.
I am once again trying to finish The Mummy. Why am trying to finish The Mummy. I don't even like this movie. And I just got jumpscared.
