Friendly reminders for my RP partners - these are specific to me and how I function so please don't rebagel read-more 'cause it got a lil' bit long

I am fairly low activity. I'm tired and my brain is often foggy. This doesn't mean that I don't want to interact or have forgotten you [though I can be forgetful about things sometimes, I do my best to keep track of stuff via drafts and thread tracker]. ---

I thrive on continuity and consistency when it comes to RP and character relationships. This can make the development of our characters' dynamic slow, so please know that going in. I completely understand if that's not something you're up for, and if that is the case please let me know. We can either talk it out to make pre-established relationships or we can make a mature decision about whether or not we're compatible RP partners. Wouldn't hold it against anyone and it doesn't mean I hate you <3 ---

Just because I have spurts of energy where I do a lot of memes or asks doesn't mean I am up for more serious things. Sometimes it's easier and more fun to just do small stuff, especially in between my lulls of not being able to write bigger stuff. ---

Also just because you see me goofing around, doing small stuff, and not replying to our thread- does not mean that I'm not GOING to reply to it eventually. ---

Please don't send me the same prompt multiple times. That makes me feel pressured and rushed and heavily decreases the chances of me replying to it at all. ---

You may notice a lack of participation in memes from me, mainly if our characters don't know each other well yet. This is because without knowing their dynamic it can be really hard to pick a meme to send, or all the prompts might be completely out of character for my muses. I will still send and rebagel memes sometimes that could be considered and jump forward or back in their timeline, but I usually do this for fun and not for it to be canon. ---

If you want to ship with me please know that it is going to take time to develop. I feel like some people see what my muses have with other muses and want that too, but what they don't consider is that the mun of those muses and myself spent YEARS developing those ships. I'm literally so slow at this that the main ship of this blog, Stardust X Horizon, is STILL non canon yet and I'm writing that one 100% myself LMAO ---

I just don't want anyone to take my slowness or lack of meme-submissions personally. Please don't worry. I do what I can when I can, and when I have the inspiration for it. None of this is personal and none of it means anything about your muses or your writing. ---

I'm friendly I swear please feel free to talk to me, I will not bite you I promise. I know some people are intimidated by me [idk why] but I'm just a little guy, man!! Just a creacher like you! Yes this is a new sub-blog from my main - specifically for fallout writes, rebagels, prompts maybe, idk.

Just went on a huge unfollowing spree because people were excessively posting about stuff that’s not at all fallout related for the last 2 weeks and I couldn’t handle it anymore. I get on here to escape reality and enjoy the fallout fandom & haven’t been able to see hardly any fallout posts :(

Hey everyone! So I’ve been going back and forth on making a writeblr for a long time- I’ve been posting a lot about my original writing on my main blog, which has been fun, but I also really wanted to get more connected to the Writeblr community on Tumblr and make some new friends so I decided to go for it!

When did I create my blog: I made this sideblog in ... June? Maybe? (I can’t see how to check.) (My main is maybe two or three years old, but I started writeblring much more recently.)

Why did I choose my url: Because my name is Carolyn and I was finally ‘caving’ to the impulse to write fanfiction after lurking in various fandoms for fifteen years. This game stole my heart and tore it to pieces. (Also I wanted it to alliterate because I’m very cool.)

Top 3 fictional universes I wanna join: Star Trek is in the #1 spot by a mile. It’s a hopeful futuristic utopia, and you’ll probably only die terribly on an alien planet if you’re wearing a red shirt. #2 is Harry Potter, because of course it is. #3 is ... Lord of the Rings, maybe? Assuming that whole Sauron thing gets taken care of first.

1- Why did you choose your url?

There's a flower in the Dragon Age games called ochreblossom that I really liked the sound of, and I really like ombre as an aesthetic - hence, ombreblossom.

2- Any side blogs?

Many haha. 4 secret fandom side blogs, a cute animals side blog that I rarely use, a side blog to test Tumblr themes, a writing side blog I created and then never used, and a couple side blogs I use for collecting drafts that won't ever see the light of day.

3- How long have you been on tumblr?

Since late 2010 or early 2011. This blog has been around since May 2020, though. (I accidentally deleted my OG account ;.;)

4- Do you have a queue tag?

Nope! I basically run my entire blog on a queue, so I don’t personally see the point. All the power to folks that do, though.

5- Why did you start your blog in the first place?

I started my OG blog because I wanted to rebagel cute Supernatural fanart haha. I was in the process of making the blogs on my OG account into archives because I wanted to start over fresh when I accidentally deleted the entire thing.

6- Why did you choose your icon/pfp

Right now it's moth!Jon, but it's usually a Picrew rendition of me :) Moth!Jon is one of my favorite TMA fandom things.

7- Why did you choose your header?

It's purple and space-y and at the time I chose it, my blog had an ace flag color scheme.

Mmm. Probably the post about how the audio with Basira, Georgie, and Melanie at the end of MAG 200 is mono and not stereo at ~130 notes.

Mmm...not really? I’ve made a few #tma vague posts in my day, but not really shitposts.

Several times a day. It’s the social media website I mindlessly scroll when my thoughts are elsewhere. And I do often mean mindlessly.

14- Did you have a fight/argument with another blog once?

I, ah, once had a somewhat tense conversation with a popular TMA blogger about Jon’s outing in MAG 106 and how it gets interpreted in the fandom. I like to think we both walked away from that conversation okay, though, despite it being tense. I hope so, anyway.

And I’ve vagued about other people’s bullshit before, too. Not too often, though.

15- How do you feel about “you need to reblog this” posts?

I refuse to reblog them even if I agree with the post. If I have ever reblogged one, it’s because I read it too fast and didn’t notice. I don’t respond well to guilt-tripping.

16- Do you like tag games?

Yes! I like them a lot :D I’m just not great at doing them in a timely fashion....

17- Do you like ask games?

Yeah! But same thing ;.; and I sometimes end up feeling bad that I don’t answer promptly...which makes it take longer to respond to them haa.

Hmm.... I’m mutuals with a few people who are decently famous in the TMA fandom? And I’m mutuals someone who seems decently famous in the Penumbra Podcast fandom but no one “Tumblr famous,” I don’t think. Someone vaguely Tumblr famous followed me for a couple weeks many months ago, but never again haha.

Um.... Yeah. But that’s all I’m gonna say.

Yes, well I have posted about it before and rebageled others but as you said, tumblr is tumblr and it was probably 4-6 months ago which means it’s probably lost to the voidblr. I don’t remember what I tagged it ngl (or even if I did because why bother on tumblr) but I did post some examples from the book which is where my main criticisms come from even though I admit there are also problems with the tv show, regardless of how much I love it. Tbh I don’t know anything about a movie besides the Cursed script which I’ve only seen snippets of so I’ve got no opinion on that besides thank Someone it was never made.

Here’s the thing though, if you really care, which I hope for but doubt otherwise your tone would be one of interest and a desire to learn rather than a tone of exasperation and eye rolling, please do feel free to do your own research. Many fans have been discussing the racism in the show since its release so it’s all out there. As for the homophobia, that’s more of a problem with the book and I don’t really think that needs explaining cos it’s blatant af but again, the info is out there if you want to engage with it. And no, I don’t think A&C not kissing is home of phobia asdfghdfsfs jfc

For me it’s important to consume media with a critical eye, especially when it’s something I love. And guess what? I’m allowed to enjoy a book/film/tv show/comic/podcast/whatever and still be critical of it, even very critical of it, even critical of the fandom that I’m a part of too! I know, cool right? But what I’m not interested in is trying to change the mind of complete strangers on the internet, particularly those who don’t actually want to hear it. This is just my lil babie blog, in my corner of one fandom, on a weird shitty blue site, and that’s just my onion. Scroll on by.

Which isn’t to say I don’t like others, though. I love the ball of anger and issues and murder that is Jason, and the quiet constantly-impending breakdown that is Tim and hell, even Stephanie has a special place in my heart because she said “lmao fuck it” and made her own costume to do it anyway. I love Damian for how much he hates everything. About the only Robin I’m even impartial to was that one red-haired girl from Frank Miller’s Dark Knight.

A few years back when I was hardcore into Young Justice, that was all I wrote, was Dick Grayson being a dork. I also just love the trope of Tim leaving Robin and growing up to be someone else, it’s my favorite thing. (There’s like, one where he’s House? It’s great.) I like the new Marvel movies and I love what they’re doing and Tony Snark is fabulous and everyone there is great but. I mean. Nightwing.

Hey guys! I know I’ve been extremely quiet, but I do want to try to get back into the swing of things. There’s been a lot of personal drama that I’ve been dealing with in the background, but I’m also in enrolled in college and working. So I’m really tired, stressed, and just burned out! I do have some traditional art projects that I’ve been working on that I plan on sharing soon.
