Fun little Headcanon post~! It's about if a muse would be able to survive and win against their ability in Dead Apple

Tldr:

Would: Itou, Ayatsuji, Oda, Mikhail, Inoue, Tsuji, Yokomitsu

Wouldn't: Milton, Kawabata, Kyusaku, Emily, Niimi

As for why- below the cut

Lets start with the would defeat their own ability

Itou is up first. He is a member of the Hunting Dogs, and while a more newer addition to the group, he is still thoroughly trained and skilled in his area of combat. He is able to use a katana, not as good as he is with a combat knife or gun, and knows the ins and outs of his ability. Without the for thought and planning put into using his ability, it is relatively useless by itself.

Ayatsuji would easily defeat his own ability simply by not doing so. Another can only kill what has killed or tried killing. And while Ayatsuji has, by technicality, caused numerous deaths, he has not committed murder. Another can not kill him and he can not kill Another. It'd be a bit of cheating on this, but he would simply have another skilled ability user (Tsujimura) defeat his ability for him and he would return the favor once Another was no longer an issue.

Oda would struggle, considering how powerful Flawless is, but he knows its limit and how to fight against it. And as a former assassin, it wouldn't be too difficult for him to do so. His fight with Gide shows that he can fight very well without the use of Flawless.

Mikhail is similar in a way to Chuuya. Mikhail is an experiment, a dog given an ability that allows him to take human form. Without this given ability, he is simply a dog and his ability is a normal human being. Now a person can defeat a dog, but Mikhail is actually a trained soldier and also a former street dog, he knows how to fight despite how stupid and clueless he is about the human world.

Inoue beats his for a similar reason to Mikhail. Inoue is a trained special agent that knows how to deal with gifted in combat. Inoue's ability just isn't one suited for combat-

Tsuji would be quick in ruthless about defeating his own ability in order to get it back. He doesn't want to feel pain, he wants to feel nothing but the bliss his ability gives him. As a seasoned criminal, Tsuji is fairly decent at fighting, more agile and quick than he is strong.

Yokomitsu is really intelligent despite his goofy way of acting. He knows what exactly makes him weak and how to combat it. And he knows he must defeat and regain his own to even be any help to his friends. While he isn't the strongest, he would lure his ability somewhere devoid of machines and do his best from there

Now onto those who wouldn't

Milton is for one, a child, a child with no combat experience. Two. His Ability includes a dragon on the roaster of animals... which would be bad. If Paradise lost didn't take the form of the dragon, Milton would stand a relative chance by tricking it to shift into less deadly things by forcing its hand.

Kawabata is rather relient on Snow Country, much like how Atsushi is. Not to mention, Snow Country is a powerful ability that would be hard to combat without an ability and hard to escape from once it's close. He'd need help to win.

Kyusaku is pretty obvious as to why they wouldn't win that one-

Emily's ability is a form of invisibility, meaning unless she gets a camera and plays this like outlast, she isn't going to get very far.

Niimi just wouldn't. This isn't in terms of can or can't it's a hard won't. His ability takes form in the shape of a Fox. Gon. Something he sees as a companion and friend who has been with him for so long and they Gon through so much. And while he would figure it really isn't Gon, he can't get himself to hurt his friend.

do you know how many people are mad that authors use "growled" as a word for "said"? it's just poetics! they do not literally mean "growled," it's just a common replacement for "said with force but in a low tone." it's normal! do you hear me!! help me i love you please let me out of here!!!
