err ehenmmrm ummm ink perhaps (for the character thingy)

first impression : unfortunately my first impression with ink was pretty bad. i watched underverse before i ingested any canon material besides comic dubs. i had a pretty negative view of him and his soullessness, which i do think underverse unfortunately does. it's a very bad portrayal of ink. (in my opinion. don't come for me)

impression now : i love ink! again, he's not my favorite, but i do love canon ink. i think him being a neutral/morally grey character is awesome. i love when characters have nuance and aren't perfect.

favorite moment : his "creation" ... like .. when he ripped apart his soul n stuff

idea for a story : skipping this one again !

unpopular opinion : i usually am not a fan of people's other versions of ink where they make him allosexual(or sexual in general.) and i'm not a fan of making him alloromantic as well for shipping. (i'm not sure if this is unpopular or not...)

favorite headcanon : uhmmmm.. not sure! most headcanons i like are from comyet and those are canon to me... objectum and aegosexual ink :-3 and mmmmaaaybe aplatonic.....

i think all i have left to do in this FINAL WEEK STRETCH BEFORE WE START is to. upload the sim child keith LOL, add flannery's lore [rip he's also on the second row bc tbh i am not satisfied with what i drew for him SORRY FLANNERY], and mmmmaaaybe add my daydreaming lore to my tav. i dont know. it kind of isnt grounded in much but yknow. love to daydream.

i was gonna try to redraw some refs for older characters BUT!!!! im tired. theres too much LOL i already ended up uploading WAY MORE new characters than i initially planned to and it's taken... time....

Sticktober 2023 - Day 11: Competition

"Okay Dad, here's how this works, using the blocks the crew has given us, we have to try and make whatever prompt pops up on that big board - and we have 5 minutes to complete it! Once the bell rings we aren't allowed to place any more blocks! Sky, Teal and Indigo will vote on who made the better build! We do this 4 times and the person who wins the most, gets the prize of $1000 and bragging rights at home!"

"I feel somehow this benefits you more than me, even if I win," King commented, looking at his full inventory.

"Mmmmaaaybe," Gold grinned, and behind him fireworks went off and the board displayed the word: CAT.

"Alright, timer starts now!" Gold shouted, heading off into his corner while King sauntered to his own.

"I really don't think I have much of a chance, sorry to anyone who's actually rooting for me," King laughed, scrolling through his inventory before placing down some quartz stairs and then shaking his head and placing down some white wool, "He just has much more experience doing this - I've seen his other build battles."

At the end of the first round, they revealed their builds - Gold's was a simple small tuxedo cat all in wool, while King's was a much bigger orange tabby with varying materials for the differing shades of orange.

The judges declared King the winner, "You went easy on me!"

"No, no you won fair and square!" Gold insisted, and the fireworks went off again. The board displayed the word: POTATO.

"Potato?" King rolled his eyes and started looking at the various wood in his inventory, "How am I supposed to make a visually interesting potato?"

King and Gold had similar ideas, attempting to recreate the Minecraft potato, but King's was a little bigger so the point went to him again. This time there was no banter and Gold frowned as the next prompt appeared: REFRIGERATOR.

King was once again puzzled over what to do with this one, "A fridge is kinda simple. Oh! Maybe I could add some fridge art, stuck on with magnets?"

King's fridge, while impressive, didn't match Gold's this time. His son had opened up the fridge door to show it's contents. King was sincerely impressed, and wasn't really surprised that he lost this round.

"That was really good," King complimented and Gold nodded in thanks, "So what happens if we tie?"

"One last build battle, winner takes it all," Gold explained as the potentially final prompt appeared: PIANO.

"Oh, this'll be easy, I used to play piano!" King charged off to his side, getting to work.

King's piano was a simple one, modelled off of the one he used to play as a kid, while Gold had gone for a grand piano.

"Oh wow, it even has the right number of keys," King remarked, counting them while Gold stood proudly, hands on his hips.

"Does yours?"

"Of course."

Again the win was given to Gold, which meant it was time for the tiebreaker: SOUP.

"Soup? How am I supposed to make soup?" King scrolled around his inventory, "I can't change the colour of water. Though I could use lava, that would be really risky and I'd have to find blocks that the lava wouldn't burn."

In the end King went with glass blocks as the soup but just as he was finishing up he heard a shout from Gold's side of the competition space, "DAD!"

And suddenly the game didn't matter and he dropped what he was doing to run to Gold's side of the wall. He found an incredibly high wall of iron blocks; a massive soup pot.

Without even thinking he began placing and climbing up ladders, practically shooting up the side of the build. As soon as he reached the top he could see that Gold had fallen into the "soup" which in his case was lava.

He could hear the bell ringing but that didn't matter.

At least Gold was close to the edge as King reached down and grabbed his son's hand, and despite the burning heat he did not let go, pulling his son up onto the ledge with him.

Without thinking he just dumped a bucket of water down between them and they rode the flow down to the ground.

"Are you okay?"

"Yeah. You know that wouldn't have actually killed me, right?"

King nodded, hand scratching the back of his head, "Of course, but you called for me. And I'll always come running when you call."

King looked away from the screen and down at the blackened hand that had failed him. Failed to save him. But Gold was still calling from the other side.

And King would always come running when Gold called.

OH MY GOD HAPPY FITS ASK???!!!?!??!? OH MY GOD YOUVE BLESSED ME ON THIS DAY. I LOVE SONG ANALYSIS SO SO MUCH AND I LOVE THE HAPPY FITS BUT I AM VEY TIRED SO ILL KEEP IT SHORT i dont know if this is what you wanted but ACK WHATEVER

before i get into specifics ill just say how much i love love love how upbeat and happy most of their songs are i love how ironic it all is, i love the idea that all the songs are portrayed in a happy tune to reflect putting up that fake "carefree" attitude... I LOVE IT i love it.. anyways

first of all theres the obvious uh. "getting drunk and blacking out" connotations, but i dont think its JUST that - to me it encompasses unhealthy coping mechanisms as a hole, i.e. :

money splurging/self sabotage (ill admit this ones a bit of a stretch but stick wih me here),

unhealthy sleeping patterns (sleeping too much or too little)/denial in the form of escapism

and generally running away from your problems while still being aware of that intense guilt

(i could say more but you get the point)

the bridge makes me wonder if this is also about relationships? or i guess how unhealthy coping mechanisms can lead to the deterioration of relationships (which leads to grief and more unhealthy coping, cycle starts over again)

either the speaker (i, me, my) or the adressee (you, your) is carrying the relationship and cutting ties

i say either because its not really specified? but i think its sort of implied that the addressee is the one whos saying and doing these things

POST CHORUS THROWS ME FOR A BIT OF A LOOP BUT ILL TRY TO MAKE SENSE OF IT HERE?

at this point im gonna be very conflicted with my thoughts cause i cant fully wrap my head around it, but mmmmaaaybe its just... a third person perspective looking in on the situation like a narrator? and just pointing out to viewers/listeners/audiences the situation and going "see how life is from this perspective"?

the first one may be implying that "hey, if you dont keep yourself in check, this will be you" because of how they frame the situation as "the way of the future, the story, and the times" expressing how its a common problem thats often overlooked

but then in the second version, at the very end of the song, its proposing a more positive future. like its framing the song as a cautionary tale, and now with the knowledge and the lesson thats been taught, you can go on with your life looking out for yourself and others and creating a better future

well thats all i have to say about it analysis-wise HAHAHA hope ya enjoyed my ted talk, i love the happy fits so much i promise im not pretentious about all their songs, i just like vibing out and sometimes i just think too much about the lyrics

As much as Linus liked to push his students to really go hard or go home, it really, really fucking sucked when something went wrong and someone got hurt. It didn't happen too often when someone got hurt real bad, but...today had not been a good day.

"Okay, I know this hurts like a motherfucker, but you just keep talkin' and I'll get this all sorted in a jiff, got that? I wouldn't let ya down, right?"

After making sure that the poor student was keeping a firm hand on the wound, Linus adjusted them a little in his arms and then booked it away from the training grounds. "Ya fuckers better not move, 'm not done with ya yet!" he shouted over his shoulder, more out of a desire to project that everything was going to be fine than the fact he had anything more to really teach for the day.

Not after this. Kids probably needed a break.

With his propensity for getting lost, Linus took a chance and thank the Saints, that Black Eagles lady was out and about with some of her students, too. Paid to sort of pay attention to the folks who preferred the outside.

"Hey! Hey, hey, hey! Can I steal ya for a wee second," Linus called out, putting on a final burst of speed to close the distance. "Had a li'l accident with the class today, aha....I can't keep track'a all the twists and turns 'round this place, so I figured you'd be a better shot than runnin' 'round tryin' to find the healers."

Luckily, Deirdre had been a solid bet, and it only took a moment to have the wound healed up and the student back on their own two feet.

Linus wasn't a big fan of magic, but today, he'd be more than happy to sings its praises! "Hot damn, I owe ya a bunch!" he whooped, enthusiastically pressing a kiss to the woman's lips in his gratitude. It might have been a little rough and definitely overexcited, but it was quick and purely out of relief.

"I can't return the favor exact, I don't do the whole magic thing, but ya ever need a li'l enforcin' for whatever reason, I'm your guy!"

IT'S FINE. Familiars are MAGIC, they're strong, no matter what their base material is/was! Nothing short of an epic battle is gonna crack either of them, and if that happens, they're magic, they'll heal!

clouds are fluffy, but cool and light too, chinchilla fur is dense and warm. Also, floating is not a standard chinchilla ability, thank goodness.

Nope, it's not. Regardless of how mundane any of these SEEM, they are NOT in fact made from normal creature bits, they're fully magical constructs, capable of amplifying magic, and providing life time companionship to their Person (they DO live as long as their person). How 'realistic' they are seems to be based entirely on the Familiar Spirit's personal preferences, as far as anyone can tell.

Varies. Some can speak with human speech, some can speak through images, emotions, etc. Regardless, their Person can always understand them.

Yep! Left that one deliberately vague! It is any kind of terrier your heard desires from a yorkie to a pitbull! (the patchwork and ceramic is giving you kisses, it's tongue isn't wet but it's very smooth and cold, but warms from your skin quickly)

why make the other doggo a specific breed then?

I WAS just going to say 'sight hound' then an image flashed in my mind of a fully black saluki all long legs and banner ears shimmering in sunlight like rainbow obsidian and it just HAD to do that. He had not thought to expect remark from this quarter as he walked barefoot along the balustrade of the Silent Mary, his pants rolled up from having been off her edge helping with repainting. He considered what to say, before in the end settling for a simple, “No more a myth than ghost ships, mate.”

At first, Armando had merely been admiring the sparrow’s balance, but then he had seen the mark, a blackened stain upon Jack’s leg. He lifted his hand, tracing the edge of the mark softly. “I would like to meet the one responsible for this- if only to wipe their stain from the face of the earth,” he growled. “But I will not press you.” 

His hand traced upwards, then, to the bottom of what appeared to be another mark, hidden by Jack’s pant leg- a point, of some sort, though he could see no more. At least this one did not seem blackened.

I imagine their date would be pretty low-key, like a walk in the park or a small lunch meal or whatever, and it’s mostly Peter just....going off about things while Stephen listens and nods along, giving his input where he can. It doesn’t go farther than that, maybe Stephen putting his arm over the back of the bench they sat at so Peter is leaning against his arm. They decide it’s better to be good friends, with Peter visiting Stephen’s private library every once in a while. But they are very cute together, and Peter takes a selfie with Stephen and sends it to Tony to get a rise outta him which ends with Tiny being jealous as fuuuuck
