Harry was aware of this. It was also the information that his friend Sarah had given him. And because taking at least a look at some other student’s sick animals was a great way to put all her training into practice, she did these sort of check ups for free. He appreciated Emma’s reiteration of this disclaimer though, and immediately let her know that he was alright with the situation.

And to be honest, had he not previously been made aware that she was still in the process of getting her degree, he probably would not have noticed any difference between her and the fully fledged veterinarian that had come round to his mother’s house a few times when he was younger. Emma had an extremely calm aura surrounding her, which put Juniper - who had been jittery every time Harry approached her - at ease quite quickly.

The next few moments introduced a concentrated silence to Harry’s living room. He didn’t quite know what to do with himself as her hands softly reached out towards different parts of Juniper’s little body, so he started gnawing on his lips and continuously shifting his weight from one leg onto the other and back. Adam - he’s your friend, right? - texted me out of the blue and so did Sarah. Said that even though I’m, and I quote, ‘thankfully’ not seeing David anymore I’m still invited to hang out with the gang so… Here I am, I guess.” The bright smile which appeared on her face was almost enough to lessen the annoyance rising up Harry’s throat. Almost.

He had wanted to repay her in some way, and perhaps selfishly use that opportunity to spend more time in her enchanting presence, but with her father there he could not find the right words to extend her a casual dinner invitation. ((It’s been three weeks but the Session 6 highlights are HERE!))

It has been three weeks since we last met up and the first question a player asks - in reference to the recap - was “Is Renaldo the jerk with the bag?”

I have realized that my notes are far more comedic than they are helpful.

We reached Von Trikona’s tower to finally return her books, but she wasn’t going to deal with us at 3am, so we all got to sleep instead.

Humphrey is still deathly afraid of Mountain.

The next morning, we traveled to Redhawk, chasing the lead of the forged ledger that I had honestly forgotten Matthias stole two or three sessions ago.

Legit tho I’d been so focused on the ‘mysterious Lord scamming rich families and murdering unfortunate brides for their dowry’ that I completely forgot there was a sub-plot of money laundering.

There are three separate inns in this tiny-ass town with only barely-passable tourism, and yet they all seem to be well-kept and successful? Suspicious....

The market stalls are semi-permanent, all the people seem well-off, there’s hardly a sign of wear on the streets and buildings…..this town is absoLUTELY a front for some sort of scheme. I’ll eat my lute if it’s not.

“The merchants have wares, if you have coin.”

“Are you seriously trying to buy Skooma here? You have a child!”

“Don’t give your horse Skooma!!!”

We tracked down the richest people in town for...reasons? I don’t actually remember why...and then stood in an alley for twenty minutes arguing about who would go and talk to them.

We never did, and we resorted to just eavesdropping around town instead.

Alright, so it turns out that Redhawk actually DOES have a pretty steady tourism industry, and that’s where at least some of the money comes from.

We ended up at one of the (very crowded) inns, and Mountain was sent up to talk with the innkeeper.

The innkeeper was actually very helpful in giving us directions to our next destination, Bluefield, but Astrid had to intervene to keep the questioning going in the right direction for our secret ledger quest.

Astrid asked about local things to do, and Redhawk has a lot of historic landmarks/buildings, etc….but every place IN town that was mentioned didn’t have a lot of foot traffic, while every place OUTSIDE of town - in the middle of nowhere - did.

There’s something sketchy going on here….not with the innkeeper, though. She’s just a well-meaning sweetheart.

The most popular landmark is a canyon that people keep visiting, and that’s supposedly a day’s journey away, as most people don’t return until the next morning.

“If we’re going to board our horses, do I have to pay extra for Ganondorf?”

“It’s okay if your horse is a little bi-OOOOH mygod that is a BIG boy.”

We finally get going, and it turns out the canyon is only about an hour away on foot.

We can also hear the upset howling of doggos from up ahead.

“We have to scout ahead - we have to do this strategically!”/”Then don’t include Udaji - she’s so bright white, she glows.”

Matthias scouted ahead by climbing the cliff and belly-crawling along the ridge.

“Wait, WAIT. This is a DOG FIGHTING RING?!”

“You’re so angry you’re echoing, girl.”

“How are you going to get this message back to the party?”/”I will chisel it into a rock.”

After deciding not to inform the party by way of a scratched up rock, Matthias returns to the party and insists that we need to murder everyone in the ravine and free the dogs.

“We need a distraction….what if we had Astrid scream?” Udaji, standing by with her dragon roar, disappointed.

We actually decide to walk in masquerading as tourists, and find a VERY busy gambling arena filled with caged dogs, guards, salespeople, food/drink vendors, and gamblers in various states of drunkenness.

One salesman got a little too handsy with Astrid, and Matthias nearly threw hands right there.

“What’cha got your hands on my daughter for, boy??”

I ice-breathed three villains directly in the face as a sneak attack. I only dealt about (5) damage to each, but it was something, and it made me feel good.

One of the gamblers I breathed on freaked out and tried to run away, realized I was in his path, and backtracked so quickly that he almost fell over.

*the distant sounds of the DM’s cats meowing as they zoom around the apartment for the third time this hour*

“So this gambler, who’s learned that running like a rat isn’t a good idea….is also going to run like a rat.”

“Is a longsword, like, a shortsword to Udaji? Or is it a specially-made Udaji-sized longsword?”

“Wound his pride. And maybe his ass.”

“You know you guys are basically murdering tourists.”/”Correction: I haven’t murdered anyone. I just gave them a scare. MATTHIAS, though, has killed a few people.”

“UwU that hits, right?”

“Ah, so we have killed all the witnesses?”

We’re trying to knock out the final bandit so we’ll have someone to interrogate, but Matthias keeps attacking with his rapier and fORGETTING THE   P L A N-

The bandit captain has a multi-attack and good lord Udaji is very much hurt.

I have rolled twice now to punch this bandit and failed with a (7) each time.

“Can I cast Cure Wounds on the dogs???”

Claus calmed and healed the dogs, and Udaji befriended them with jerky from her pack.

The party has now befriended six now ex-fighting dogs. Two of them ran into the wild, but four stayed behind. We don’t know what to do with them, and I’m afraid to take them back into the town that was promoting this BS as tourism.

I got to keep two of the dogs and I have decided to name them ‘Burnt Toast’ and ‘Matthias Jr.’.

Matthias was very pleased to hear that I was naming a dog after him. Mountain was not.

The other two dogs were named ‘Joel’ and ‘Señor Guapo’, respectively.

I was given a Potion of Fire Breath out of the loot chest, so somebody - way, WAY down the line - who thinks they know their stuff about Dragonborn is gonna be in for a heckin’ surprise. >:D

We fled the scene of our crime, and Astrid remembered to tie up the unconscious bandit captain while the rest of us were distracted by our new furry friends.

Setting up a collaboration with Karli hadn’t been too hard considering Shawn didn’t have a whole lot going on right now outside of tour rehearsals. Andrew had wanted Shawn to set it up as soon as possible as to not lose some of the hype that had come along with his tweets and Karli’s video.

A ton of Twitter fans had already been speculating that they may be setting up a collaboration of some sort. And Andrew had given Shawn the go ahead to tease about it here and there, just to keep interest up. Which meant that Shawn and Karli had been flirtily tweeting each other all week. Nothing too crazy, but just here and there.

So now, about three and a half weeks since Shawn’s initial tweet from the airport, he was flying to LAX to create an unknown collaboration with Karli King. He’d left pretty much any and all specifics about the video up to her discretion, saying that he trusted her craft, whatever the fuck that meant. The truth was, Shawn didn’t know how to make a fucking Youtube collaboration. Sure, Shawn had started on Youtube. But Youtube years ago, was a completely different game than Youtube now. Shawn had recorded unedited, raw covers in his bedroom. And now, people were creating music that was just as produced and put together as his albums were. And they were putting out that content once or sometimes even twice a week. This was a world far removed from Magcon days. A loud cry from his vine days, and it was something that Shawn hadn’t the smallest inkling about.

But he hadn’t wanted to tell Karli that. He couldn’t seem like a fucking idiot to her before they’d even met.

Karli had sent over all the details of meeting spot and time and what not to Shawn’s cell (because now they had each other’s phone numbers, which was something Shawn doesn’t like to think about). And Shawn was just set to drop his things off at a hotel before meeting Karli King for the first ever time, and it was going to be...fine.

Shawn was nervous as hell. He never gets nervous, but goddamn he was nervous. He had butterflies constantly roaming his stomach, never giving him a moments peace. He felt like he had the jitters, his nervous habits that he’d abandoned long ago we starting to creep back in, and Shawn just felt completely on edge.

Why did he feel like he was about to me the fucking Queen of England?

It’s just Karli King.

Shawn hopped in an Uber, giving the address Karli had sent him, and decided it was time to clear is mind. He pulled out his phone, deciding to tweet something extremely ambiguous just to see the familiar flood of excited responses from the fans. He shot out just a quick little message saying “Today’s a big day!” and he waited.

It only took thirty seconds before he saw his mentions grow exponentially, filled with fans asking what was going on, if he could tell them anything, or requests to post pictures. Shawn replied to a handful of them, sifting through similar ones, finding the gems hidden in the rough.

Finally Shawn swiped off Twitter, entering his messages app and hitting Niall’s name.

Shawn: Hey, in LA for a few days. Hangout?

Karli was insanely terrified. Not just because Shawn Mendes was coming to her house, but because of the video they were about to produce.

It’s not surprise that Karli is best known for her ten song mashups. It’s unique, and it’s what got her traction on the platform, garnering her over 5 million subscribers. But if you knew Karli, you knew this wasn’t what she wanted to do for the rest of her life. She loved Youtube, absolutely. And her fans were incredible. But Karli wasn’t wanting to sing covers forever. She wanted to write and release her own music.

So Karli was taking a risk. A really big one, but is life really worth living without them?

Karli wasn’t stupid. She knew that no matter what she put out, a video with Shawn Mendes was guaranteed to get more views than most of her own content. His fan base was insanely huge, arguably one of the biggest in the world right now. So, if she was going to take a risk, this is where she was least likely to flop. Because Shawn Mendes would be holding her up.

And Shawn had given her complete creative control over the video content. Shawn didn’t know this yet, but today he was going to be learning and singing a Karli King original. She was completely terrified. What if he hated the song? Or wanted to do something else? Or completely backed out because he’d expected to be doing a ten song mashup?

Shawn didn’t really seem like the kind of person to bail, but she also had to admit that she doesn’t really know him 

But nevermind that, she didn’t have the opportunity to change her mind because Shawn would be here any minute.

She just hoped he liked it.

Shawn showed up about five minutes early, donning a backpack and two guitar cases. Karli hadn’t specifically told him he’d be playing the guitar or anything, but he wanted to come prepared. So he’d brought an acoustic and an electric.

“Hey,” Karli had easily welcomed him into what looked to be her actual home.

Which, made sense. He, after all, had also recorded everything in his home too when he’d started out.

Karli’s platinum blonde hair was flowing down her shoulders, with a small portion of it tied back into a small bun on her head. She wore a yellow cropped Adidas hoodie and a pair of gym shorts. He feet were clad in fuzzy socks, and Shawn felt immensely overdressed in just his right black slacks and his loose fitting tee.

Karli led them down a hallway, “Bathrooms right here, if you need it.” She smiled at him over her shoulder. “And this, is the studio.” She opened a door on the right to reveal an immensely beautiful space. Shawn actually gasped.

There was a mini grand piano in one corner of the room, and three guitars hanging on the wall near it. There was a desk with her producing equipment, an area for a camera set up, and a corner with microphones and music stands at the ready.

“Holy shit,” Shawn looked at Karli, “this is fucking legit.”

Karli laughed, and Shawn felt his heart stop. Her laugh was so mealoudious in video, but in real life it was angelic. He was never going to survive this day.

“It’s been a long time coming,” Karli responded. “I’ve spent years collecting this stuff.”

Shawn shook his head, “You could honestly to god record an entire album in this one room.”

Karli beamed at him, tugging on the drawstring of her hoodie, “That’s the goal.”

Shawn, who’d been busying himself with one of the guitars hanging up, turned completely shocked. “Really? You’re wanting to make your own music?”

She simply nodded her head shyly.

“Do you write your own songs?” Shawn asked, now completely invested in Karli, guitars all but forgotten.

“Well...actually, yeah. I’m going to show you one, for the video.”

Shawn’s eyes went wide, “You want us to sing one of your originals together?”

They spent the next few hours becoming accustomed to Karli’s original song, which she had titled ‘Why Won’t You Love Me’. Shawn absolutely loved the song. It had a sick beat, that they’d been playing around with on her computer. The electric guitar part was amazing, and their voices meshed so well on the chorus.

“Okay, the first verse is just going to be me and the guitar. So, then you just harmonize like that in the chorus and play the guitar, but then we’ll switch back on the verse. I’ll play the guitar. You’ll sing the second verse, which I will harmonize with. Then go into the chorus and bridge together.”

“Sounds perfect.” Shawn agreed.

Karli eyed Shawn for a moment, “Did you happen to bring that blue guitar in either of those cases?”

Shawn laughed, “Yeah, I did bring that blue guitar.”

Since the video’s release, Karli’s channel has been trending on YouTube for days. She’s gained a ton of subscribers, and people showed genuine interest in her music. It seems like a lot of her fans had been waiting for her to release her own music, which was a pleasant surprise.

On Shawn’s side of things, progress was a bit more difficult to track. What with him already having millions of fans, and pretty high activity every day whether there was something being released or not, new traffic was a bit harder to grasp. 

But Andrew continued to tell Shawn that all the press had been good. Karli’s song was huge, and she’d released a recorded version on iTunes without Shawn on it, that was doing really well on the charts. It seemed the media was viewing this as a “Shawn Mendes returns to his roots and pulls up  an up and coming Artist with him” sort of situation.

Shawn really couldn’t care less about the success or what it was doing to his fan base, as long as it was semi successful at least. Shawn wanted the success for Karli, but for himself he really hadn’t cared.

But what he had used this opportunity as was a way to continue communication with Karli, on a slightly more personal level. They’d moved past Twitter mentions and into the regular texting category of new friendships. He’d be lying if he said he hadn’t been flirting with her.

But if Shawn had thought he liked Karli before he’d met her, he was head over heels for her now.

He couldn’t get her off his mind. He’d simply never found someone more mindblowingly talented. The effort that she put into her music was inspiring to even Shawn. Her conversations were captivating, like she always had something on her mind.

Shawn was honestly surprised with how open she’d become with him so quickly. But he wasn’t going to be complaining.

After the video release, Shawn had returned home to continue tour rehearsals. Tour was set to start in about a month, and Shawn was ecstatic. He’d never been more excited to sing songs live that he was about these ones. And practicing the tour every day just made him more and more energetic.

On top of rehearsals, Andrew also had Shawn doing some writing sessions here and there, preparing to release a single mid tour. Writing sessions meant going to LA for a few days here and there. Most of the time he spent this time coupled up in a house with Teddy, putting together ideas until finally something good sticks and turns into something incredible.

But other times, like now, Shawn had a free night. Normally, when in LA, he’d first reach out to Niall, but he knew for a fact that Niall was in the UK running some promo with his golf company. Shawn was honestly a bit bummed out anytime he and Niall seemed to miss each other, one away while the other was in LA. It felt like a gross injustice on the universe’s part, to give Shawn a friend like Niall but then rarely allow them to see each other in person.

Twas the life of a rockstar, Shawn assumed.

Shawn needed something to do though because he was in one of those moods. Those moods he gets into when he’s too much in his head. When he needs someone else to pull him out of it, and remind him that there is life outside of his mind. These moods only had one fix: people. It never really mattered who, though Shawn preferred it to be a close friend. But frankly, those were often in short supply for Shawn, depending on which corner of the world he was in on any given day.

Despite knowing tons of people in LA, Shawn really only wanted to see one person.

And that scared him.

His writing session with Teddy today had been productive, but Shawn knew exactly why. Because he’d been thinking about a certain blonde. He’d been thinking back to their first meeting and just how nervous she’d made him. In a way no one ever had. And how even now, the idea of texting her and asking if she was free to hang out had his stomach in knots. Shawn wasn’t this kind of person. Sure, he wasn’t like smooth or anything when it came to the ladies, but he wasn’t one to become nervous. Performing made him nervous. Awards shows made him nervous. Girls don’t make Shawn Mendes nervous.

Until Karli King.

Should he text her? Call her? Were they on a calling basis? Probably not. Were they even on a casual hangout basis? Shawn had no idea. Maybe he just had to just do it. Just text her and not even look back or think about it. That probably seemed best, before Shawn got even further into his head and completely over thought the whole thing.

Shawn: Hey Karli. I’m in LA for a couple days, and have the night free. Want to get together?

That was a normal thing to send a friend right? Shawn went to the kitchen of the house the team was staying in for writing sessions, grabbing himself a beer to calm himself. He didn’t have to worry for long, before his phone was chiming with a message.

Karli: Hey! I’m out with some friends tonight, actually. We’re just bar hopping. Come join us!

Shawn wasn’t entirely sure if he wanted to join a group of people he didn’t know on a bar hop run, but he knew he wanted to see Karli. And he knew he wanted to be around people, so I guess this was the option that checked off both of those boxes.

Shawn: just tell me when.

That may have been overeager 

Karli: We’re at Jeni’s now, won’t be going out for another hour or so. Come get ice cream!

Shawn smiled at the picture, wondering what ice cream flavor was her favorite, as he wait for the address of which Jeni’s they were at.

Shawn stumbled around the house, throwing on a YOUTH hoodie, and pulling on a pair of chelsea boots. Shawn had already called for an Uber by the time Karli had responded with the address. He answered her saying he’d been there in a few.

The butterflies in his stomach only amped up as he thought about how he was going to see her for the second time in just a matter of minutes.

“Are you drunk?” Karli laughed, throwing her head back as they continued to dance together.

“What?” Shawn asked shocked, “No. I’ve only had two drinks. I’m not a fucking pansy.”

Karli laughed even harder at that, “Well, what do I know? I’ve never been out drinking with Shawn Mendes before.” She smiled up at him, “You just seem like you’re having a good time.”

Shawn smiled, bringing his hand around her waist as he moved against her body, “I am having a great time, Karli.”

“That’s really good.”

Karli slung her arms around Shawn’s neck, “I’m not drunk either, but I might be soon.”

Getting to know Shawn after their night together in LA was easy, almost natural. Karli found herself texting him almost constantly. They would share bits and pieces of their days with each other. She’d send him little sound bites of a song she was recording while he’d send her little videos of him and Teddy messing around with a beat.

It was fun and light, but Karli knew there was more coming. She could feel it in the way her cheeks widened at the sound of his voice, or the way she’d blush slightly before sending him a picture of her day. She could feel it in the way Shawn’s laugh echoed in her mind hours after a phone call had ended.

She wasn't going to do anything about it though because he was Shawn Mendes and that entailed a lot of things. A lot of things that Karli couldn’t pretend to know about. Dating Shawn wasn’t something that one casually did because he was a celebrity. There were contracts and paps and images involved. Karli wasn’t going to insert herself into that.

She couldn’t, not with the way her life was now. She was building a name for herself, and she wasn’t doing it on the back of someone like Shawn Mendes. The last thing Karli needed was accusations being thrown her way of using Shawn for his fame. She knew all about cancel culture, and one headline like that could literally end her career before it had even fully started.

So there Karli remained, the silent background friend of Shawn’s that no one knew about.

Shawn: come to the zoo with me?

Karli: what? why are you going to the zoo?

Shawn: i want to see a kangaroo

It was a Thursday morning, just a week before Shawn’s tour was going to start. His energy was through the roof, and he had to get it out somehow.

So he went to the zoo.

Karli has easily agreed, and they’d met up outside before starting the day together. It was fucking hot outside despite it being early March. Kids were in school, so the zoo was practically empty. Just like Shawn had hoped.

“Okay so,” Karli looked over Shawn shoulders, pushing up on her top toes. “Looks like the kangaroos are all the way at the back.” She pointed to literally the furthest place in the zoo.

Shawn clapped, “Well we better get moving then, if we are to make it to Australia by days end!”

Karli laughed, following Shawn as he moved down the walkway.

Turns out that seeing the kangaroos, really just meant Shawn wanted to see every animal in the entire zoo. He stopped and gazed at every single exhibit. Asking Karli which animals she liked best and which she identified most with. He’s randomly share the oddest facts with her.

“Did you know that a rhinoceros's horn is made of hair?”

“I did not know that, Shawn.”

Occasionally Karli would initiate the conversation, saying how she wished she could be a sloth, or maybe how she wonders how penguins don’t get cold.

Overall, it was the exact kind of day Karli wanted to spend with Shawn. Sharing stupid facts together, laughing at odd jokes, accidentally brushing fingers or shoulders a little too often to be truly accidental. It was perfect. It was peaceful.

Can's phone vibrates loudly instead.

Wei: JUST ANSWER YOUR BAE ALREADY CAN.

Can: What do you want?

Tin: Why are you ignoring my messages?

Can: I'm not ignoring you, I just didn't see it.

Tin: You legit just changed your profile pic 5 min ago.

Can: I did that and left my phone on my desk!

Tin: I sent you my first message an hour ago.

Wei: THAT BOY GOT THEM RECEIPTS. Also you're being too extra Tin.

Can: What do you want?!

Tin: Will you do it?

Can: Of course I will!

Tin: Text me when you wake up. Respond to my messages within an hour. If you don't you're breaking your promise.

Wei: I don't know why I wasn't expecting this next level of extra, but here we are.

Can: YOU WANT THAT HUH? I'LL SEND YOU A "GOOD MORNING" AND I'LL EVEN SEND YOU A "GOOD NIGHT" LINE STICKER! HAH!

Tin: Perfect. Thanks babe.

Can: Shit, I fell for it.

Ley: P'CAN GET AWAY FROM MY COMPUTER!!

Wei: Well... This is getting meta.

Ley: I'm a BL Fan...

Can: Like guys dating guys?

Ley: Yes, is that a problem?

Can: Nah. And I won't tell Mama. Bye.

Ley: Wait, now that you know my secret, you have to help me with something. Tell me more about P'Tin and P'Pete! Tell me about them 24/7 and help them get together! Or since I'm the one that does all the cooking... You might find a bad surprise in your dinner!

Can: Fiiiiiine.

Can gets kicked out of Ley's room.

Can: You're so clueless. Ai Tin likes your older brother, not Ai Pete.

Wei: You should have said it louder. Her resulting fit would have been hilarious.

Tin: :watches clip from horror movie, reads Can's message that he should have a nightmare: Nah babe, I'll be having sweet dreams filled with you instead.

Wei: SHIT THAT WAS A SMOOTH REDIRECT.

Pete: You look different Tin. You smile a lot more.

Tin: Do you know when he'll come to campus?

Pete: You mean Can? They'll have practice next week. Did you know his number changed?

Tin smiles some more.

Pete: Oh I see how it is. And it's all because of Can huh?

Wei: SO SOFT.

Can: GOOD YOU BETRAYED ME.

Good: I didn't... Betray you... I never... Said I would... Meet you...

Can: But I paid for the taxi and it's so hot out!

Good: Not my... problem...

Can turns around to find Tin standing behind him.

Can: SHIT TIN YOU SCARED ME. Why are you here?

Tin: I'm here for classes. Duh.

Can: Whatever, I'm going home.

Tin: Wait a minute. You said you'd send me a "Sweet dreams" message.

Can: I did! The clip I sent you!

Tin: The one with the rocking chair?

Can: Yeah! The first time I saw it I was so frightened.

Tin: So you like horror movies?

Can: Yes! The bloodier the better!

Tin: Want to watch a movie with me?

Can: WITH YOU? NO!

Tin: What a shame... I was going to invite you to my personal home theater.

Can: ... Personal home theater you say? OKAY I'M IN. BUT I'M GOING NOW BYE.

Tin: Hold on a sec. :kisses Can on the cheek:

What ringtone my muse has set for yours: Hang on to your uwus for this one. I think her ringtone for Nik changes… not constantly but as their relationship grows and changes. Her autonomic ringtone for everyone is definitely the Pokemon theme song. During their time as friends, I can definitely see her having Total Eclipse of the Heart because she really loves the song? Probably sings it too often, #prayfornik’sears. And later she changes it to Something About The Way You Look Tonight; and her final ringtone for him is definitely Can’t Help Falling In Love. Oh, did I mention that all of her ringtones for him are the violin version of the original song? Because that’s canon. 

What contact photo my muse has set for yours: Full disclaimer, Mai changes Nik’s contact photo SO often, it’s ridiculous. 

What my muse thinks of the way yours texts: Mailan.. finds it amusing that Nikita texts almost the same way he speaks? She could hear him saying what he sends her and it’s funny yet intimidating at times? Especially considering the way she texts? She sends so many emojis and a sentence at a time whereas I can see Nik sending her one block or line as a response and that’s it? No emojis or uwus or any of that sort of thing. And while at times Mai thinks it sucks, since she has NO idea how to take some things he says, she also loves it. The way he texts is just so him she couldn’t imagine it any other way? Because of how stoic-y he texts, Mai usually asks him questions such as “what do you mean by that?” and such. She feels bad doing so and sometimes avoids asking questions but other times she’s too scared of the meaning of what he says to keep quiet. That being said, I feel like she just grows used to it? To his stoic responses and such? I feel like at one point in their relationship, she no longer needs to ask questions and just feels much more calmer in regards to understanding him and such. Growth™️, I guess. 

How quickly my muse responds to your texts: Is it a surprise to anyone that she responds to him almost immediately? The minute she gets a notification and sees the bunny emoji, she’s unlocking her phone to answer him. Mailan often waits for his response in suspense or simply out of excitement. The only time she doesn't reply to him immediately is if she’s actually busy, think of work, schoolwork, showers, cooking, gardening, and sleep. And even so, there’s been instances were the notification from his text wakes her up and she responds and falls back to sleep (I can’t guarantee that those messages make any sense, some may have been in Vietnamese).

How often our muses text: Often, like I’d say daily. Mai definitely enjoys texting him every day, I can see her sending him good morning and goodnight texts every day without missing a beat. Even if he doesn’t reply to her, she still sends him so many messages? It’s almost a monologue and I’m embarrassed. But she means well with her texts and I’m sure Nik gets used to getting spam almost every day. 

How often our muses call: Depends? I’d say that if they are close to each other, think of school, camp, or wherever—I don’t know what other universes they may meet on, but if they are close and can see each other often or almost every day then the phone calls rarely happen. However, if they are in their perspective homes? The phone calls happen weekly if not more often. I’d like to think Nik is a busy boy considering his career of choice, so that’s why I don’t say daily.. Although if it were up to Mai’s clingy self.. that’s how it would be. But yeah, they probably schedule calls to have weekly. It’s funny to think of these fools as organized but again, Nik is a busy boy. And I’d imagine that when Mai is on break or home she’s doing a million things at once? Getting transfiguration classes plus violin classes. I somehow feel like she would also help her mother with her job? 

Does my muse purposefully miss calls from yours: Knowing Mai, no. She doesn’t have it in her to purposefully miss his calls UNLESS they’ve had a misunderstanding or she’s crying over something. I think Mai purposefully not answering his calls is so RARE, like.. I would be shocked when it happens. But I can imagine them having disagreements and she just kind of needs time? So she doesn’t answer his phone call—sometimes she lets him know, like “hey, I don’t think we should talk right now. Can you give me an hour or so?” Once they become.. a couple and have a some bumpy ass experiences she becomes so much more vocal about when she doesn’t understand what he means, or whether she does or doesn’t stand with it, etc? But them as friends? Mai just doesn’t answer his calls and then gives such a Lame excuse about it? Think of “sorry I was feeding my cat” even though Nik called her like five hours ago.. Additionally, Mai would purposefully miss his calls if she’s having a hard time and is crying, she sometimes texts him saying she’s struggling or other times she doesn’t.

What ringtone my muse has set for yours: I’m so sorry to disappoint everyone but Eric doesn’t bother with ringtones? Like at all. This boy lets his ringtone be the basic af iPhone ringtone.. He doesn’t even change them to the other options it’s the one the phone comes with.

What my muse thinks of the way yours texts: Eric.. has seen people text worse than KC. It’s not that KC texts in a weird way.. it’s just A Lot™️ for Eric? Like he can just cringe at what KC sends him? I don’t know why but I feel like KC is an uwu sort of guy so he would use that and lots of periods or commas, maybe even a lot of line breaks? So that and the memes? And keysmaches? It just feels like a lot to Eric but he can.. see KC’s personality come through? He doesn’t know whether he hates it or is amused by it. Maybe he simultaneously hates it and finds it amusing. (The only bright side of KC texting habits is that it keeps Eric up to date with the memes). 

How quickly my muse responds to your texts: This dumb demon child takes his TIME getting back to KC! Unless it’s about business or it’s leading up to it in which he would reply sooner.. He still doesn’t reply instantly. At the beginning of Eric trying to charm KC, he definitely took a specific amount of time before replying to KC, like yes this demon calculated it. He wanted KC to wait, learn to at least. His goal? For KC to anticipate his response. To see whether KC would send more text messages instead of waiting. But Eric can take days or weeks to get back to KC.. good thing they live in Camp so they can at least see each other and talk then.. yikes. 

How often our muses text: As said previously, Eric is a slow ass texter but they probably have.. somewhat decent conversations. I’d imagine Eric would also text KC, it can’t all be one-sided because it might discourage him and Eric needs KC to still cave into his dumb demonic methods and ways. 

How often our muses call: Not.. that.. often? I feel like there’s different answers to this. When Eric’s manipulation was at its Peak™️ they probably had phone calls often, usually during the night. I can imagine Eric playing Fortnite (because.. he would) and having an hour conversation with KC, leading him on. He probably grows quiet when the match gets hard but.. I kind of works on his favor? You know that whole “let’s fall asleep on the phone” thing? Eric accomplishes it accidentally because he gets quiet id he’s really focused and KC eventually falls asleep. But after Eric calls them off? It’s just.. not a Thing anymore? KC can still call him.. but Eric doesn’t make the effort to have an hour conversation with KC. I imagine Eric and his dumb self calls KC when he’s highly intoxicated though, so good luck with that. 

Does my muse purposefully miss calls from yours: Yes, all the time. Though Eric sometimes doesn’t pay attention to his phone? He’s the type to not charge his phone for days because socializing is too much and seeing so many idiots face to face daily is Bad Enough for him. But Eric.. purposefully misses everyone’s calls, he can’t be bothered. If KC is insistent enough he’ll answer I guess or send one of those automatic(?) messages like “I’m busy, call later.”

Seokjin is always more focused on you than learning lines or rehearsing for a show so you basically can’t visit him,, ever

no one loves you together more than his family

they love seeing him happy, knowing that he’s found someone who loves and supports their precious Seokjin

the boys are a close second

Taehyung legit talks as if you’re both already married and have kids,, which isn’t too far from the truth tbh ... you both already have discussed marriage, and taking care of BTS is more stressful than having actual kids

you and Seokjin know you’re going to get married someday, the boys know, your families know. it’s just a thing that is undoubtedly going to happen

but he’s afraid of the media attention, of anti’s targeting you so although you know you’ll walk down the aisle someday, you just don’t know when. but you have a colour scheme already picked out (red & white like Mario’s cap lol it will be the nerdiest wedding of the century)

Pinterest October – November 2018 New Features Carousel Pins

All business accounts on Pinterest can now create Carousel Pins – this is a new type of pins which allows up to 5 different images published as a slider under the same pin URL.

These images can be linked to different page URLs on your website, they can also have different titles and descriptions!

Pinterest initially introduced Carousel pins as an additional tool for businesses to make their ads more attractive. However, right now you can create Carousel pins without starting an ad campaign.

Just go to your Pinterest account on a desktop and click on the “plus” button next to your profile name. From the drop-down, select Create Carousel.

There is a chance that as early adopters of the new pin format, we could gain some additional benefits. First, at the beginning, not many users will create these Carousel pins (they obviously take more time than the regular pins). Plus, Pinterest should probably give an additional initial boost to the new pins so that more content creators get interested in saving these Carousel pins.

This day many bloggers and Pinterest marketers woke up to see their domains marked as spam on Pinterest. This very blog you are reading now was also blocked and you can’t imagine how I was worried about it – all my Pinterest traffic was gone for nearly 24 hours.

As far as I was able to follow up the situation in multiple blogging communities on Facebook, the majority of the affected accounts were working fine within 24 hours since the issue was known about. Pinterest didn’t make any official statements, didn’t reply to anyone’s emails, just fixed the issue and pretended that nothing happened.

In case you ever get caught by a similar issue in the future, here are a few tips on how you can try to help your domain get unmarked as soon as possible. When you write an email to them, no matter how pissed you are by the situation, make sure you use respectful language because after all, the person reading your message, is just a person. You don’t know how that person who is not personally responsible for the algorithms on Pinterest, might feel about your message, and how this could influence his or her decision about your account.

Email creators-support @ pinterest.com – this address was shared by Pinterest on their conference for content creators. Visit the page https://help.pinterest.com/en/contact, select “Business Account” and then choose the option appropriate to your request. One more tip that might not be applicable to every situation, but I thought it’s worth mentioning this insider tip. You see, some companies have a privilege of talking to Pinterest reps directly and when a large-scale glitch is causing some trouble for bloggers or content creators, they do their best to help us. During the latest instances of mass accounts blocking, Tailwind (officially approved Pinterest scheduler), Mediavine and Adthrive (advertising network for bloggers) created lists of affected accounts in their FB communities and then sent lists to Pinterest to manually look into each blog.

Pinterest Analytics Glitches in July 2018

If you noticed that your Pinterest Analytics show nearly 0 views on some days in July 2018, that’s just a glitch and you can verify in your Google Analytics that you were getting traffic from Pinterest on those days normally.

Tailwind releasing SmartLoop tool 

Tailwind made an announcement about their long-awaited SmartLoop tool. They promised to roll it out on all accounts within 8-12 weeks.

If you are following Pinterest updates and changes closely, you probably noticed that 2018 is the year when Pinterest started really opening up a little more info to marketers, bloggers, content creators. Yes, Pinterest even organized the first-ever conference for content creators.

Out of all the information that was presented to the blogging community lately, not all “news” truly new or part of a Pinterest update. They just never spoke so openly about the ways you should promote your content on their platform.

However, a lot of stuff that was discussed during the conferences worked on Pinterest for years this way, and Pinterest just never spoke about it so openly.

On this page, I do my best to separate what Pinterest reps claim, what Pinterest Best practices dictate, from what actually works to drive traffic to your website. I’m also going to put away all the rumors based on some popular interpretations of Pinterest’s statements. 

I spend a lot of time (more than I wish I had to!) monitoring blogging communities on Facebook where people share their experience on Pinterest. I spend this much time doing it because among the numerous Facebook threads and comments sometimes I can see a pattern and it helps to figure out how Pinterest works for people in different niches, following different strategies.

Pinterest disapproved BoardBooster scheduler

If you don’t know what BoardBooster was, then probably you can just skip this paragraph. Before you do it, just take one thing with you: from June 2018, Pinterest is not a place to mess around using any schedulers or tools which are not shown on their official Pinterest’s partners page.

Now, getting back to BoardBooster. It was one of the two most popular Pinterest schedulers for about 4 years and offered automation tools at an affordable price. Pinterest didn’t like that BoardBooster was operating without using Pinterest API. This was ok for a few years, but at some point, all big social media platforms crash upon unapproved apps or tools. Unfortunately, there was no way Pinterest would allow BoardBooster become an approved partner and the tool was closed for good.  

Several tools are shown on the Partner’s page but the leader is Tailwind. If you want to start using it efficiently and save yourself the time from learning it by trial and error, you could make a jump start with my very affordable video course dedicated to Tailwind.

Group Boards will be losing distribution power

This one is quite a fundamental statement made by two Pinterest reps in an interview for Pinterest scheduler Buffer (check the video below).

It’s so important because building powerful Pinterest account by reaching audiences of multiple group boards was the main strategy that has been working great for the last 2-3 years.

However, it seems like from now on, Pinterest will be working on reducing the distribution of pins saved to group boards.

Why Pinterest decided to do that? They said group boards became over time something different from what they were created for. Have you seen group boards with thousands of contributors? I bet you have because they are usually the ones that are too easy to be accepted to.

Now, 1000-4000 contributors (the max I’ve seen, but I’m sure there are even bigger group boards) and no pinning limits can’t end up in a good way. Spam eventually takes over these boards and the board is losing the focus on one topic.

As a consequence, even legit pinners on those boards get low engagement scores for their pins and a confusing keyword context based on all the spam saved to the board previously.

Pinterest reps explained that group boards should be only used for collaborations on “projects”.  For me, it means that group boards have to be as focused on one topic or keyword, as standard boards are. And shouldn’t involve large numbers of contributors.

What should you do now?

If you are still relatively new and don’t have many big group boards on your profile, you have two options. First, forget about group boards and work on your own boards. Second, if you still want to try to reach additional audiences with group boards, you might want to create or join only small group boards, very specifically targeted to a keyword or topic. If you already joined many large group boards, especially generic boards which allow people from all niches to pin, it’s time to evaluate how efficient these boards are for your account. Learn how I do it from this post.

2.     Build strong boards on your own account

Since Pinterest takes distribution away from the big group boards, I can tell that you naturally will redirect the majority of your efforts to building your own boards.

You might not even realize that, but a lot of established bloggers see their Pinterest traffic tanking for a while. Their accounts are packed with group boards they joined while their own boards are the minority.

If this is your case, time for a change has come. Did you notice that in their Best practices, Pinterest recommends creating at least 5 boards for each topic we cover in the blog or website? By doing this, you can target several keyword variations on each board.

3.   The “Most Relevant Boards First” Rule for a New Pin

To help your new pin succeed on Pinterest, you have to pin it to a relevant board first. Or several relevant boards. And they should be boards on your account. By saving the pin to a relevant board, you give this new image the right keyword context. By saving first to your own board, you help Pinterest boost your pin, because they claim to give priority to the pins saved by content creators.

4.     Tall pins pessimization

If you’ve been on Pinterest long enough, you probably have an idea that long pins get more engagement and space in the feeds, and in general are more successful. That’s why about 2 years ago Pinterest search results were jam-packed with infographics. Some marketing sites received a great traffic influx from Pinterest in those times.

I’m not too sad about it because I hated seeing those long pins using Pinterest on my phone. They used to occupy space or 3-7 normal sized pins and I didn’t find this fair.

Currently, Pinterest is cutting off the long pins at 2:4.2 ratio and in general, they recommend sticking to the 2:3 ratio in the future as longer pins will not only be cut but also pessimized by the Pinterest algorithm.

5.     Be a true Content Creator and save “Fresh” pins regularly

Several Pinterest reps talked a lot about the freshness of pins. Why would they touch on this subject?

Apparently, too many bloggers were repinning their own exactly the same pins too many times to multiple boards.

If you even upload the same exact image from the same exact post URL, Pinterest will recognize the image as an existent pin and in the majority of cases will immediately show you the summed up stats for that pin.

The conclusion is – you need to create a lot more new pins – new image, new text overlay, new colors – anything at all has been different on the image to be considered a new pin. They started saying content creators should save new pins weekly, but I lately hear voices saying we should do it daily. Who promised Pinterest marketing is going to get easier?

All platforms get more complicated algorithms over time as the competition between content creators promoting on these platforms grows. So if you are still on the fence about Pinterest traffic and think you can start later, I can’t recommend you highly enough to start working on your Pinterest account strategically NOW. The longer you wait, the harder it gets for a beginner.

I recently found an additional way to make your pins more “fresh” for Pinterest while saving new pin versions for your old posts.

When you just save new images directly from your web pages, Pinterest Rich Pins automatically attach to them your SEO titles and SEO descriptions (if you use Article Rich Pins). This mean, all your new pins from the same page are targeting exactly the same keywords.

Pinterest recommends you to create new pins and change keywords to give another perspective on your image and attract an additional audience. Changing pin description when you save a new pin does its positive job in this sense, but your SEO title and keywords in it remain the same.

So what’s the new solution?

When you save a new pin for an old post, don’t save the pin from your page. Instead, go to Pinterest Homepage and click on Create Pin in the right top corner:

Then you can upload the new image or if you saved it on the page, you can also retrieve the image from your site (insert the link to your page under the image upload). The most important part here is changing your Rich Pin’s title and description. Try to think of some new keywords you haven’t used in your SEO title for this post or page.

This way, you will overwrite the Rich Pins’s title that comes from your web page. The SEO description remains the same, but you can and should also use new keywords in the pin description (see the screenshot below):

6.     It’s Ok to have Multiple pins per page URL

Pinterest reps confirmed what was added to their Best Practices page – you can and you should create multiple pins per post to target different keywords or audiences in each pin version.

7.     Pinterest Analytics Work Faster

Pinterest used to have a 36-hour delay in stats shown for each specific pin. Lately, they show analytics on a pin basis almost in real time. Pinterest claims they have a 2-hour delay in reporting the data.

A side note here. The stats you are seeing on a pin basis are summed up counts for all repins, impressions and saves of all versions of this pin. Imagine a user B repinned your original pin to a bigger board and that repin got a lot more impressions and clicks. This means, your own pin will be showing a summed up stats from your pin and the repin of user B Stats.

Another note. When you look at the pin stats in a window like on a screenshot below don’t forget these are stats only for the last 30 days. It’s not all the repins/saves/impressions from the day the pin was initially saved.

8. Followers Quality over Quantity

Pinterest reps mentioned on a few events that the algorithm is showing your new pins first to your follower base. The algorithm evaluates the early engagement to see if your pin should be shown to bigger audiences.

This means that practices which involve mass following or purchasing followers are not helping you get traffic from your pin. In fact, they are doing the opposite. You get followers which are not going to engage with your pins. This gives negative signals to Pinterest about your content. This will limit your pins distribution.

They used the term “early engagement”, which is also well-known in regards to the Instagram algorithm. If your content gets good engagement soon after publication, chances are this content might get an additional boost from the platform’s algorithm.

To quote Sarah from Pinterest (the interview video above): “When you save a new Pin to Pinterest, it will be distributed it to your followers first. That’s the testing ground and it gets your content out much faster than Pinterest could ever do before. This is your most loyal audience – they love your content.”

Pinterest Changes 2018 – New Features and New Interface Easy Saving to Suggested Boards (for the Web, June 2018)

Like most Pinterest changes, this new feature is rolled to the user base step by step. So if you don’t see the same when you try to save a pin on your desktop, probably you will see it pretty soon.

The change makes saving pins it much easier. You don’t need to click on the Save button before choosing a board. Now Pinterest suggests a relevant board on your account and you can save the pin right on the same page.

Public Stats of Monthly Reach

Not everyone was happy with this one. Because a lot of established bloggers who started on Pinterest years ago were pretty happy with their high following numbers. Since they didn’t invest as much time and efforts in Pinterest anymore, the reach often decreased a lot over time. Now their low reach became public, and it doesn’t look so great when you have a sponsored post opportunity.

The reach number in your profile shows how many Pinterest users interacted with your Pins in the last 30 days. This number is rounded.

New Pinterest Profile Cover

You might have noticed on lots of Pinterest profiles a collection of the latest pins as a profile cover. You can customize which pins will appear there and choose one of the options to show:

All Recent Pins Recent Pins from a specific board, Recent Pins made from your site (includes pins saved by other users from your domain).

New Activity Tab

Activity tab is pretty cool – it shows you all the pins which were saved from your site. Not only saved by you (using Tailwind scheduler for example), but also by any other users. You can look at the most popular pins that get lots of saves from your site. Then make your conclusions about which pins or content works the best.

You have an option to keep this tab private if you wish.

Following Feed on Pinterest (March 2018)

I believe that by the time you are reading this post, this feature works on all Pinterest accounts. It’s the second mode of using Pinterest after the Smart Home feed – your “Following” feed.

It’s a feed of pins only from the people follow and these pins are shown in chronological order.

I want to make-up your life easy! Here, on this page, Pinterest updates are presented in chronological order and also are explained as per what is an actual alter, what is a rumor, and how you are able to react to these changes.

I’m going to also mention here some news related to the Pinterest-approved scheduler Tailwind and their new features as this might be directly related to your activity on Pinterest.

Pinterest October- November 2018 New Features Carousel Pins

All business accounts on Pinterest can now create Carousel Pins- this is a new type of pins which permits up to 5 different images published as a slider under the same pin URL.

These images can be linked to different page URLs on your website, they can also have different titles and descriptions!

Pinterest initially introduced Carousel pins as an additional tool for businesses to make their ads most attractive. However, right now you can create Carousel pins without starting an ad campaign.

Just go to your Pinterest account on a desktop and click on the “plus” button next to your profile name. From the drop-down, select Create Carousel.

There is a chance that as early adopters of the new pin format, we could gain some additional benefits. First, at the start , not many users will create these Carousel pins( they plainly take more period than the regular pins ). Plus, Pinterest should probably dedicate an additional initial boost to the new pins so that more content inventors get interested in saving these Carousel pins.

Another note. When you look at the pin stats in a window like on a screenshot below don’t forget these are stats merely for the last 30 days. It’s not all the repins/ saves/ impressions from the working day the pin was initially saved.

8. Followers Quality over Quantity

Pinterest reps mentioned on a few events that the algorithm is showing your new pins first to your follower base. The algorithm evaluates the early participation to see if your pin should be shown to bigger audiences.

This means that practices which involve mass following or buying adherents are not helping you get traffic from your pin. In fact, they are doing the opposite. You get followers which are not going to engage with your pins. This dedicates negative signals to Pinterest about your content. This will limit your pins distribution.

They used the term” early engagement”, which is also well-known in regards to the Instagram algorithm. If your content gets good participation soon after publication, opportunities are this content might get an additional boost from the platform’s algorithm.

To quote Sarah from Pinterest( the interview video above ): “When you save a new Pin to Pinterest, it will be distributed it to your followers first. That’s the testing ground and it gets your content out much faster than Pinterest could ever do before. This is your most loyal audience- they love your content.”

Pinterest Alters 2018- New Features and New Interface Easy Saving to Suggested Boards( for the Web, June 2018)

Like most Pinterest alters, this new feature is rolled to the user base step by step. So if you don’t see the same when you try to save a pin on your desktop, probably you will see it pretty soon.

The change builds saving pins it much easier. You don’t need to click on the Save button before choosing a board. Now Pinterest indicates a relevant board on your account and you can save the pin right on the same page.

Public Stats of Monthly Reach

Not everyone was happy with this one. Because a lot of established bloggers who started on Pinterest years ago were pretty happy with their high following numbers. Since they didn’t invest as much time and efforts in Pinterest anymore, the reach often lessened a lot over period. Now their low reach became public, and it doesn’t look so great when you have a sponsored post opportunity.

The reach number in your profile shows how many Pinterest users interacted with your Pins in the last 30 days. This number is rounded.

You might have noticed on lots of Pinterest profiles a collecting of the latest pins as a profile covering. You can customize which pins will appear there and choose one of the options to show :P TAGEND

All Recent Pins Recent Pins from a specific board, Recent Pins made from your site( includes pins saved by other users from your domain ).

New Activity Tab

Activity tab is pretty cool- it shows you all the pins which were saved from your site. Not only saved by you( employing Tailwind scheduler for example ), but also by any other users. You can look at the most popular pins that get lots of saves from your site. Then make your conclusions about which pins or content works the best.

You have an option to keep this tab private if you wish.

Following Feed on Pinterest( March 2018)

I believe that by the time you are reading this post, this feature was working on all Pinterest accounts. It’s the second mode of using Pinterest after the Smart Home feed – your “Following” feed.

It’s a feed of pins only from the people follow and these pins are shown in chronological order.

Why do I constantly cry at the thought of you? Always before bed too. I just started scrolling through my photos on my phone and snapchat memories and our photos are all still there. I won’t delete them, I refuse to actually. I know I’ve moved on but at the same time I feel like I will never fully move on. My last two exs before you, I bounced into a new relationship so fast. With you, I tried because letting go of you was the hardest thing I ever had to do. I know I tried with Ryan, and now Carlos but apart of me doesn’t feel 100% ready yet. I mean I want to be with Carlos, but there are so many things that make me think he doesn’t want me the way you did.

I looked through and watched every video that I have of us, and I just wanted to punch my self in the face. How on earth did I hurt and leave the most incredible person on this planet? I will always, no matter what, always blame myself for loosing you. I am a terrible person. You became a monster because of me. You were the most sweetest guy ever, wouldn’t harm a fly and I turned you against me. I changed you for the worst, and I HATE myself for it. Everyone thinks you being so protective, and controlling was your fault, but I made you that way. You were never that way. You were never the jealous type, you were just so care free, down to earth, so open minded and I changed you into a monster. You were honestly the best thing that ever happened to me, and I don’t regret ever being with you. I loved and still love every single thing about you, and I always will.

I usually from time to time think about you. Especially because your mail still gets delivered to my house. My dad constantly brings you up and talks about how we wants you back with me. It sucks to hear these things because no one knows the full story and if they did, they would all hate me. My dad will honestly never ever approve a guy, the way he approved you. He says you were the best thing for me, and he’s not wrong. But it’s something I have to live with now. I honestly only started thinking of you last night because talking to Carlos was making me so frustrated. And my friend asked me for relationship advice and I shot her down. Sorry but I am the last one you should come to for relationship advice. She said “You and Roberto were the perfect couple. Like how did you two even start talking? Was it always that perfect?”

No Vanessa, it was not perfect. Roberto was a huge fuck boy. Constantly called me over, he lived alone with roommates, so it was pretty obvious. I even argued with him when we first started talking because I thought he was playing me, especially because he liked another girl at the time too. I told her, if I spoke with you back then, you would say ditch that bum. But I didn’t. I liked him so much. He was the first guy I fell for real hard. You can’t give up on something you want, and I didn’t, and it became the best thing in my entire world. Talking to Roberto the first couple months was incredible. We only spoke for less than a month before meeting, and then once we met, a week and a half later he asked me to be official. Aside from me thinking he was a fuck boy, I didn’t have to fight too much for him. He constantly texted me, he constantly snap chatted me, always asked me to hang out. It was perfect. He was 19 at the time, so maybe guys who are 19 compared to 26 are different. Who knows.

And that leads me to Carlos. He is a great guy but the more we constantly text the more I get annoyed by his immaturity. In person he’s incredible. He’s constantly making me laugh, he is immature but to an extent. He’s smart, he’s down to earth, he’s just amazing and so easy going. Then he texts me and I can’t even begin to explain it. He’s way too random. I need a dictionary trying to decode his texts. It’s fine, but sometimes I’d like to have a legit conversation with him. Everything is a joke with him, which is fine, but you need to know when to draw the line. Last night I had the worst headache messaging him. I was the one who killed the conversation because I had no idea what he was saying. He was using hashtags to say things, and everything was going over and beyond my head. He was talking about three sums, and overweight females with blue hair, and how Tinder is for sluts, and how he doesn’t talk to strangers online. Which I know is all a joke because he met me online. But like cmon bud, stop. That is your personality, that is fine, but know when to be serious. Last night was the first time he complimented me and flirted with me. The first! I liked it because he doesn’t do it often, but then he killed it with his fucking hashtags and random slang. I do not understand him one bit. I think that makes me want him more though.

Honestly, I can’t treat him like I treated Roberto. Roberto and I constantly sent snapchats, weird snapchats. Carlos just doesn’t, which is fine. I just have to lay low, let him message me, let him constantly plan the dates and leave the ball in his park. It’s only been 15 days. When I realize that it blows my mind. How have I only known him for 15 days? I’ve met him 5 times within those 15 days. That’s a lot. I just have to give him his space. But I just want to constantly be around him, he’s just so amazing. I’m so happy around him, so myself around him. But I can’t scare him off, I can’t push him away, so the only thing to do is make him miss me the way I miss him. Maybe when you’re 26 you don’t care about social media and snapchat, or constantly texting. I mean I know my cousins and their boyfriends NEVER text, or snapchat, even as they were first starting to date. And I know he’s never on his phone, because half the time he loses it anyways. Like he made me hold his phone, and two hours later he’s like fuck where did I put my cellular… First who says cellular, and second uhm bud you gave it to me hours ago. Ugh that day. He gave me the sexiest side look ever when I told him I had his phone, and then he hugged me. UGH TAKE ME BACK TO LAST THURSDAY!

In all seriousness though, I know he is interested. He said it, he shows it, he’s not going anywhere. I have to understand that not every guy is like the past. Some are different, some have different ways of showing they’re into someone. I just have to live day by day and not stress over fighting for him. It’s been 15 fucking days girl, chill out. Be his friend first, and then in time see what happens. Yes he is too amazing to pass up, but the more you bug him, the more he’s going to leave. I asked him a week ago about coming to a party on Saturday. He said yes, he’s game (again who says that), so why can’t I accept it. I keep thinking he’s going to bail. Like no, he’s not, get it out of your head. He’s a great guy, accept it. He’s not like Roberto, he’s himself, deal with it.

I think I know why you are on this page … A new Pinterest update 2019 just happened, some algorithm or interface alterations believe that this is resulting as we speak, and your traffic is either going down or up( lucky you if it’s the latter !). I generated this page because I got tired of replying over and over to similar questions I receive from my students about the latest Pinterest update( s ).

If you use Pinterest for marketing your products or you are a blogger and drive traffic from this platform, you probably know by now that algorithm updates and major interface alterations happen on Pinterest so often that people are getting confused by what is the most recent or new update, what happened merely a month ago.

I want to stimulate your life easy! Here, on this page, Pinterest updates are presented in chronological order and also are explained as per what is an actual alter, what is a rumor, and how you are able to react to these changes.

I’m going to also mention here some news related to the Pinterest-approved scheduler Tailwind and their new features as this might be directly related to your activity on Pinterest.

Pinterest October- November 2018 New Features Carousel Pins

All business accounts on Pinterest can now create Carousel Pins- this is a new type of pins which permits up to 5 different images published as a slider under the same pin URL.

These images can be linked to different page URLs on your website, they can also have different titles and descriptions!

Pinterest initially introduced Carousel pins as an additional tool for businesses to make their ads more attractive. However, right now you can create Carousel pins without starting an ad campaign.

Just go to your Pinterest account on a desktop and click on the “plus” button next to your profile name. From the drop-down, select Create Carousel.

There is a chance that as early adopters of the new pin format, we could gain some additional benefits. First, at the start , not many users will create these Carousel pins( they obviously take more period than the regular pins ). Plus, Pinterest should probably give an additional initial boost to the new pins so that more content inventors get interested in saving these Carousel pins.

Pinterest Update July 2018( And Some Other Changes) Pinterest Glitch Blocked Many Legit Bloggers Domains on 7/24/ 2018

This day many bloggers and Pinterest marketers woke up to see their domains marked as spam on Pinterest. This very blog you are reading now was also blocked and you can’t imagine how I was worried about it- all my Pinterest traffic was gone for virtually 24 hours.

Tailwind made an announcement about their long-awaited SmartLoop tool. They promised to roll it out on all accounts within 8-12 weeks.

If you are following Pinterest updates and changes closely, you probably noticed that 2018 is the year when Pinterest started really opening up a little more info to marketers, bloggers, content inventors. Yes, Pinterest even organized the first-ever conference for content creators.

Out of all the information that was presented to the blogging community lately , not all “news” genuinely new or part of a Pinterest update. They simply never spoke so openly about the ways you should promote your content on their platform.

However, a lot of stuff that was discussed during the conferences worked on Pinterest for years this way, and Pinterest just never spoke about it so openly.

On this page, I do my best to separate what Pinterest reps assert, what Pinterest Best practises dictate, from what actually works to drive traffic to your website. I’m also going to put away all the rumors based on some popular interpretings of Pinterest’s statements.

I spend a lot of time( more than I want I had to !) monitoring blogging communities on Facebook where people share their experience on Pinterest. I spend this much hour doing it because among the numerous Facebook threads and comments sometimes I can see a pattern and it helps to figure out how Pinterest works for people in different niches, following different strategies.

Pinterest disapproved BoardBooster scheduler

If you don’t know what BoardBooster was, then probably you can just skip this paragraph. Before you do it, just take one thing with you: from June 2018, Pinterest is not a place to mess around using any schedulers or tools which are not shown on their official Pinterest’spartners page.

Now, getting back to BoardBooster. It was one of the two most popular Pinterest schedulers for about 4 years and offered automation tools at an affordable price. Pinterest didn’t like that BoardBooster was operating without using Pinterest API. This was ok for a few years, but at some point, all big social media platforms crash upon unapproved apps or tools. Regrettably, there was no way Pinterest would allow BoardBooster become an approved partner and the tool was closed for good.

Group Boards will be losing distribution power

This one is quite a fundamental statement made by two Pinterest reps in an interview for Pinterest scheduler Buffer( check the video below ).

It’s so important because build powerful Pinterest account by reaching audiences of multiple group boards was the main strategy that has been working great for the last 2-3 years.

However, it seems like from now on, Pinterest will be working on reducing the distribution of pins saved to group boards.

Why Pinterest decided to do that? They said group boards became over time something different from what they were created for. Have you seen group boards with thousands of contributors? I bet you have because they are usually the ones that are too easy to be accepted to.

Now, 1000 -4 000 contributors( the max I’ve seen, but I’m sure there are even bigger group boards) and no pinning restrictions can’t end up in a good way. Spam eventually takes over these committees and the board is losing the focus on one topic.

As a outcome, even legit pinners on those committees get low participation ratings for their pins and a confusing keyword context based on all the spam saved to the board previously.

Pinterest reps explained that group boards should be only used only for collaborations on “projects”. For me, it means that group boards have to be as focused on one topic or keyword, as standard boards are. And shouldn’t involve large numbers of contributors.

What should you supposed to do now?

If you are still relatively new and don’t have many big group boards on your profile, you have two alternatives. First, forget about group boards and work on your own boards. Second, if you still want to try to reach additional audiences with group boards, you might want to create or join only small group boards, very specifically targeted to a keyword or topic. If you already joined many big group boards, especially generic boards which allow people from all niches to pin, it’s time to evaluate how efficient these boards are for your account. 2. Build strong boards on your own account

Since Pinterest takes distribution away from the big group boards, I can tell that you naturally will redirect the majority of members of your efforts to building your own boards.

You might not even realize that, but a lot of established bloggers watch their Pinterest traffic tanking for a while. Their accounts are packed with group boards they joined while their own boards are the minority.

If this is your case, day for a change “re coming”. Did you were informed that in their Best practices, Pinterest recommends creating at least 5 committees for each topic we cover in the blog or website? By doing this, you can target several keyword differences on each board.

3. The” Most Relevant Boards First” Rule for a New Pin

To help your new pin succeed on Pinterest, you have to pin it to a relevant committee first. Or several relevant boards. And they should be boards on your account. By saving the pin to a relevant committee, you give this new image the right keyword context. By saving first to your own board, you help Pinterest boost your pin, because they claim to give priority to the pins saved by content creators.

4. Tall pins pessimization

If you’ve been on Pinterest long enough, you probably have an idea that long pins get more participation and space in the feeds, and in general are more successful. That’s why about 2 years ago Pinterest search results were jam-packed with infographics. Some marketing sites received a great traffic influx from Pinterest in those times.

I’m not too sad about it because I hated find those long pins employing Pinterest on my phone. They used to occupy space or 3-7 normal sized pins and I didn’t find this fair.

Currently, Pinterest is cutting off the long pins at 2:4.2 ratio and in general, they recommend sticking to the 2:3 ratio in the future as longer pins will not only be cut but also pessimized by the Pinterest algorithm.

5. Be a true Content Creator and save “Fresh” pins regularly

Several Pinterest reps talked a lot about the freshness of pins. Why would they touch on this subject?

Apparently, too many bloggers were repinning their own exactly the same pins too many times to multiple boards.

If you even upload the same exact image from the same exact post URL, Pinterest will recognize the image as an existent pin and in the majority of cases will immediately show you the summed up stats for that pin.

The conclusion is – you need to create a lot more new pins- new image, new text overlay, new colors- anything at all has been different on the image to be considered a new pin. They started saying content creators should save new pins weekly, but I lately hear voices saying we should do it daily. Who promised Pinterest marketing is going to get easier?

All platforms get more complicated algorithms over time as the competition between content inventors promoting on these platforms grows. So if you are still on the fence about Pinterest traffic and think you can start later, I can’t recommend you highly enough to start working on your Pinterest account strategically NOW. The longer you wait, the harder it gets for a beginner.

I recently detected an additional way to build your pins more “fresh” for Pinterest while saving new pin versions for your old posts.

When you just save new images immediately from your web pages, Pinterest Rich Pins automatically attach to them your SEO titles and SEO descriptions( if you use Article Rich Pins ). This entail, all your new pins from the same page are targeting exactly the same keywords.

Pinterest recommends you to create new pins and alteration keywords to give another perspective on your image and attract an additional audience. Changing pin description when you save a new pin does its positive undertaking in this sense, but your SEO title and keywords in it remain the same.

So what’s the new solution?

6. It’s Ok to have Multiple pins per page URL

Pinterest reps corroborated what was added to their Best Practices page – you can and you should create multiple pins per post to target different keywords or audiences in each pin version.

7. Pinterest Analytics Work Faster

Pinterest used to have a 36 -hour delay in stats depict for each specific pin. Lately, they depict analytics on a pin basis almost in real time. Pinterest claims they have a 2-hour delay in reporting the data.

A side note here. The stats you are seeing on a pin basis are summed up countings for all repins, impressions and saves of all versions of this pin. Imagine a user B repinned your original pin to a bigger board and that repin got a lot more impressions and clicks. This entails, your own pin will be showing a summed up stats from your pin and the repin of user B Stats.
