ugh marius' story in tvl is just so good. so deeply fucked up. the story of his turning is tragic and horrendous and quite honestly underrated? i mean... we get giant wicker effigies dedicated to akasha and enkil filled with human sacrifices. marius being kidnapped and held prisoner for months until samhain. marius being given to teskhamen as his successor as god of the grove. marius running from his captors through the woods butt-naked to avoid being kept inside the giant oak to starve between ritual slaughters

TODAY IS @roleplay-abiogenesis2 LEVEL UP DAY.

i can tell you all about how saru and i became mutuals: we were mutually scared to follow each other, and it took a friend to force us to interact in the first place. and boy howdy, it was one of the best decisions we made with each other.

but i can't pinpoint when we became close. i think somewhere along the way, we realized how much we clicked and things went chaotic from there. saru's been one of the best friends and partners i could actually ask for. from shipping to plotting to just being stupid on both tumblr and discord, it's been one hell of a ride.

saru is an excellent rp partner! his grasp on cyno and even other muses has been top notch, and people are sorely missing out on how canon his cyno is. not only has saru done his character research, but he captures his voice so perfectly well. it's hard to NOT fall in love with the way cyno is written at saru's hand. this is ALSO true of all other muses saru picks up.

i've also seen saru write other genshin muses. i've seen his tighnari, i've seen his zhongli and even ei. saru is passionate about his writing, and does the work to make sure his portrayals are as accurate as possible. it's such a beautiful thing to witness, honestly.

but beyond roleplay, saru is a vastly loyal friend. our conversations aren't always centered around roleplay, he's someone i love playing games with. he's generous with his time, and is always there for you when you really just need a friend. be it gaming time, or working through problems together, or even just gushing about genshin impact and shipping and everything that we're all made of. i enjoy all the times i'm able to spend with him, and i cherish each moment. he's one of those people that you keep around for life, honestly.

if you haven't interacted with saru yet, you're missing out! he's one of my best friends, his writing is top notch, and he's just such a sweet gem of a prize overall. please go wish him a happy birthday!
