now that the uni2 honeymoon period is setting in some... ive been thinking about specifically merkava's good ending a whole lot for the past 2 days out of everyone... (excluding enkidu because. yknoww teehee. hehe. haha.) ive been thinking about how genuinely adorable his reaction to being a human is. seeing merkava suffer for well over a decade across games and getting to be genuinely vindicated for trying to keep that human part of him still there. i think no part shows that at its best but at the beginning of the end of his kuon fight (sorry thats a mouthful) where when hes eating him up, in the bad ending human merk's narration is taken over by the merk we know, completely frenzied, but in the good ending human merk's narration continues...until he realizes this isn't him internally monologuing anymore he's just a guy now! i also just think him having two endings makes his arcade route the most impactful out of everyone especially since merkava is already like one of the coolest and most interesting fg characters like...ever. it really highlights the stakes of his wellbeing and how an overwhelming night like that effects it. i feel like underwhelming endings like byakuya's or the re-birth'd endings of hilda and carmine could've benefitted from a bad/good ending path structure too... take mega advantage of how arcade modes in fgs function for your final game dammit!!!!

i like seeing him thrilled at all the small things he can feel now as a human. when he fully processes the fact that he is a Real guy now the first thing he just thinks is what he wants to do...and how just living a normal ass life, even the struggle parts, is all he wanted (even if brought up upon a gag scene) its good to see merkava...happy after so long as someone thats followed this game since like, uniel? while questions remain unanswered abt him (like his ties with orie) his salvation is the most rewarding out of everyone because of the nature of his character. its cute to imagine him just doing normal things while his speech is still oddly formal and probably still a behemoth height wise and also his hair just being like that. moe if you will. with that said wheres my fucking 12 episode slice of life human merkava anime i want to see that grown ass man live a satisfying life. please for the love of god i just want to see it. this is why we need that chronicle mode patch. i wanna see other characters react to him suddenly being a hot man. why did they have to lowkey rush uni2 out the door

the merk = hollow god theory going around is also pretty interesting because while i can see that conclusion for obvious reasons (HE LITERALLY SAYS THE TITLE BY NAME LOL,) i also feel like he would've had a power trip moment like hilda and carmine did when they converted if he really REALLY did inherit stuff from the hollow god? but merkava is just...normal. he's just overwhelmed with the joy of getting to indulge himself. so either thats a testament to how humble the hollow god was or like merk's deep humanity just overrid any of that nonsense. i prefer just human merkava being human merkava because that implies he truly is just a regular weird good guy and possibly was just that in his past too.

i wish i had been thinking abt merk's ending this deep when i made that initial answer to @/starocide's ask because the implications of both his endings for him as a character AND LIKE GENERAL UNI WORLDBUILDING are insanely fucking valuable when you think about it. its up there with chaos's arcade route with how much it forwards it. is there hope for all voids in general with what the good ending implies? im so curious now....

Idk how much this will help if at all but I’d like to make a @niallermybabe appreciation post. If you see this and you’re one of Bella’s mooties, please feel free to rb and add all the things she’s done for you and how she’s made your life better.

When I first re-joined this app back in November I was convinced nobody would care and I’d abandon the blog after maybe a couple weeks. Then I had @cc-horan28 reach out to me (love you lots my og mootie) and one of the first things she told me to do was to message Bells. I put it off for weeks cause I felt awkward reaching out without really anything to say. When I eventually did message her she IMMEDIATELY welcomed me with so much love and excitement and I instantly felt that she is such a special person. So incredibly inclusive, so supportive, so lovely, just overall a 10/10 human.

One of the first things that come to mind when I think of Bells and how she has made my life infinitely better was the day we lost our German Shepherd Nim. She literally flooded my inbox with asks filled with the most random questions; asking me to come up with nicknames for certain names, playing this or that, just silly things to take my mind off of the loss. She was then messaging me afterwards making sure I’m okay, sending me hugs. Just sweet little Bella things.

I remember a time when she accidentally called me “sis” instead of “sib” (cause I’m enby and whatnot) and her sweet little soul got herself so wound up thinking I was angry with her over it. She was so upset by the thought of hurting me, I honestly thought she couldn’t get any sweeter but she did just with how much she cares about these small things. The way she gets so excited whenever I tell her I’m proud of her is just the most wholesome thing ever. Anytime I’m excited with her about something she gets herself MORE excited and I love it so much. The way she would do anything for me and every single one of her mooties, I have no words to describe how incredible she is.

I work with dogs, and istg every other female dog is named Bella. It used to really annoy me cause it’s just such an overused dog name here. Now every time I hear the name I can’t help but smile because it reminds me of my little Bella Bean.

Every time I message her she’s so excited to hear from me. Every time we interact I get so excited. Every time I see her name pop up I smile.

So Bells, if you see this. Please understand how much light and positivity you have added to my life. Please know that every time I think of you I do it with a smile on my face. I may have only gotten to know you a couple months ago but you made that short time feel like forever. A world without you in it would just be so wrong, and I don’t ever want to experience that. All of these small things that you have done/continue to do for me make my life better. Every single one. You could message me the word “coconut” with absolutely no context and it would make my day. I don’t care what you say, as long as I get to talk to you as much as time zones and responsibilities allow. Because you are worth so much. So so so damn much.

i wouldnt say theres any topic thats FORBIDDEN or not appropriate for an ask, because i love interactions like these & talking to people A LOT and want them to happen as often as humanely possible, but i would prefer to avoid enst talks that are more than necessary 😭 some of my older followers already know the below cut but it is a lot to talk about so i put it there, but i will include my opinion of them there too at the end (though it wont be much)

i always bring back previous fandoms ive drawn a lot for from time to time, either as little references or drawings again for those fandoms, but enst was quite literally something that was so out of the ordinary for me to bring back because i outright stated before its highly unlikely for it to happen — furthermore i even have rbs off on most if not all of my old enst arts because i have very bad memories with this thing. i cant even say it is the fandoms problem but just with the canon things there are in itself and how i am 😭 the fandom it has especially on here was super nice and lovely to be around —, but i didnt shy away from drawing shu again because to me right now hes literally just pink ribbons . and probably my love for ribbons exceeds any kind of love ive ever had for a character before. i think its fine to talk about it sometimes again but i really would want to avoid it as much as possible, still, for nothing else but my own mental health 😭

this will be previous things that have happened that i also did mention publicly back then so its nothing new to my older followers, but i did take not one but TWO hiatuses from it (and a bit from art on the first one as well) due to enst taking a high toll on my mental health, with the second being a bit permanent but i dont know if that really fits with how ive drawn shu (and hiyori once now) again; though those were again fine by me because shu is okay in my books and the only one that im willing to even discuss anymore and the whole thing with hiri and hiyori together i even thought about before so i thought itd be cool to draw, but i was even thinking of mentioning i dont really want more enst related requests past these because its already a bit much to me.

i have enst, all words related to it and whatnot muted on all my socials, so also with this i think it is even a miracle i did see the new guys, but sincerely i know NOTHING about them because i do not care 😭 i just saw their designs and that was it. i hope mr nice gets a better gradient suit and i hope the kids (?) do not get to experience. the horrors. but they absolutely will because theyre stuck in enstars
