sonic movie 3 thoughts (spoilers below for. literally everything basically + these thoughts are very sporadic)
I cannot express into a fully comprehensive english sentence how much I love this movie. I'm not even kidding, I think it's one of my favourite movies... ever! it tops raggedy ann and andy, it tops nimona, it tops deadpool and wolverine, it tops the mario movie, and dare I say my sam and max spinterest may get drowned out because of this movie... I'm never leaving this fandom tho. I am chained here LMAOOO
I absolutely ADORED all the scenes with shadow and maria! the movies highlighted their relationship perfectly, and I loved how shadow and maria looked up at the stars instead of looking down on earth on the ark because well. yknow. points to the arc-shaped hole in the movie. when she died I kinda felt like that video of that hazbin hotel fan crying over angel dust but um! we don't need to talk about that ^_^
also I fucking HATED gerald. I know we're supposed to but like I wanted to punch through the movie screen and choke him istg HE PISSES ME OFFFFF RAAAAAAAAAAAH
ok. normal now I swear. the chao garden! I loved the chao garden, and when team sonic all wears those chao mascot heads đđđ THEY LOOKED SO STUPID (SLASH POS) I LOVE THEM
also they said. a lot of things a lot of times. half of the time I was telling my mum "THE FUNNY HEDGEHOG SAID THE THING!" even though she has no idea what the fuck I'm talking about LMAOOOO. especially when sonic said "ok hot topic" I know it was in the trailers but I did not expect a snapcube reference
THE MOON SCENE. I AM NOT KIDDING I HAD MY JAW WIDE OPEN. AND THEY ADDED LIVE AND LEARN??? YOU PESKY FILM MAKERS I THOUGHT THEY WEREN'T GONNA BE IN THE MOVIE BUT YOU GOT MEEE YOU GOT ME GOOOOOOD. that scene was genuinely majestic, when the sun rises over the two of them and then shadow grabs his hand and they go super??? hello??? do you want me to go crazy??? (spoiler alert: I went crazy)
eggman and shadows sacrifices did make me a little upset not gonna lie... stone didn't even get to say goodbye properly :(( please let stone enter his villian arc next movie I think he deserves one... at least we know shadows coming back!
speaking of the next movie, AMY AND METAL!!!! I was straight TWEAKING when amy revealed herself. movie amy looks so fucking awesome GRAAAAAAAAAAAH I WILL GO INSANE!!!!! who do you guys think is gonna voice her? for some reason I can't stop thinking of movie amy as british? london being in this movie has corrupted me.... the british are invading yet another territory: my mind.
overall, this movie was so so good and I absolutely cannot wait for the next one! sonic 4 here we come!!!

so you're gonna wait in that office, surpise him, and force him home?
doesn't that seem a little cruel...?
Quil has decided that either he is going to kill that zoroark or that zoroark is going to kill him.
i do not want my son to die.
also it is in desperate need for therapy. which is its own can of wurmples.
i am not going to force him home. i just want to talk to it. make him see reason.

thinking about how Spider was neteyam's big brother. losing my mind. ripping out my hair.
was 'teyam scared of storms or the dark? did he confide these "childish" fears to his big brother? did he get shy with all the attention he got in the village? did he hold Spi's hand when he got nervous?
did Spi have habits with 'teyam like 'teyam had with lo'ak? did Spi mess with his hair or reach for his shoulder or cuff his neck?
did Spi ever worry for 'teyam after he "stepped up" and became the Big Brother when the humans returned? did he worry something would happen to him? did he want to protect him despite being a human? was he proud? did his pride outweigh his fear?
did he think about 'teyam after he was taken? did he wonder where he was and if he was safe?
what was Spi thinking when he saw the bullet hole in his baby brother's back? did he freeze when he saw the blood, when he realized he failed to protect him?
what was 'teyam thinking? when he looked to Spi, did he want him to be the big brother again, did he want to stop being brave and let Spi do it? did he want to say something?
I have so many questions. I don't think my heart could take the answers.
#I'm probably being delusional. feel free to write this off as fanon bs. idc. it's canon in my mind.#all I can think about is the fact 'teyam died for him. he watched him die. he watched his little brother die.#did he say goodbye to him?#did he sneak into the mauri they kept his body in before they returned him to eywa and say goodbye to his baby brother#properly y'know. not the way he'd say goodbye in front of the kids or at a time where neytiri could see him.#did he stroke his hair and hold his hand and tell him he was sorry?#did he tell him he wished he could switch their places?#did he kiss his forehead one last time? did he look at his face and try and memorize every feature only to find it left wrong by death?#did he worry about him being alone in that mauri at night? did he worry he was scared to be alone in the dark of the pod?#he had to say goodbye to his baby brother for the rest of his life. what did he do? I need to know.#or at least. what did he want to do?#ignoring his grief and guilt and fear of upsetting the others or being caught by neytiri#if he could openly grieve. what would he do?#what would he wish he'd done?#It pains me to say I can't see canon!spider actually getting to give 'teyam a proper goodbye cause of everything#but if he did#what would he have done?#neteyam sully#neteyam#neteyam te suli tsyeyk'itan#spider socorro#miles spider socorro#miles socorro#avatar the way of water#avatar#crying actually#I call them Spi and 'teyam cause it feels right

Wait until you like me again - 18+
See part 1 | Part 2 of We can't be friends (wait for your love) | See part 3
The decision to resign puts a lot of weight on your shoulders. A takedown gone wrong makes it the least of anyone's concerns, especially Spencerâs. Youâre not willing to let him back in; it feels too little, too late.

The most annoying part about making a decision in haste is the clarity of the situation when the dust settles. Itâd taken Hotch just over two minutes to message you after youâd sent your email.Â
From: Boss Man đ¶ đ My office, first thing tomorrow.Â
You didnât take into account that youâd have to explain your sudden resignation to your unit chief, or that youâd need to think of a good enough goodbye to lessen the hurt of abandoning your friends. These are people you consider your found family; youâre leaving behind years worth of bonds with no proper warning or closure, in a measly few weeks. Your reasoning had to be good enough to convince them that this was for the best.Â
To convince you that this was for the best.Â
Youâd spent the whole night in tears, racking your brain for an excuse, because âthe person you care most about in this world and unrequited love of your life telling you that he didnât want to see your face was a pathetic reason for discarding your lifeâs work. No matter how hard you tried, you couldnât think of adequate justification. Even as the sun rose and you made your way through your pre-work routine, nothing came to mind.Â
âYou canât love me.â
Any time you tried to conjure up a defence your thoughts would wander back to Spencer. Too many words had been exchanged between you and your former best friend in the span of four months and not a single one of them properly explained why he was so butt-hurt. He loves you too much, but doesnât want you to love him? Thatâs your understanding, at least.Â
âPlease donât come back here. Itâs hard enough at work, I donât want to see your face in my personal time too.âÂ
Since youâd left his apartment the previous night, youâd been cycling through all the stages of grief in record time. Spencer once told you that people tend to remember more negative memories than positive. He was right. You couldnât recall a lot of your happier memories with him. All you could think about was the two conversations where heâd hurt you in ways you never imagined he would.Â
Youâre not sure exactly what part of you snapped at that moment, all you knew was that you were done making him the centre of your universe. Spencer Reid played no part in your decisions moving forward. He was not the reason for your departure with the BAU, a lie you made sure to relay to Hotch during your meeting with him.
âIâm just surprised, thatâs all. Where is this even coming from?â He inquired from across you, hands folded neatly against his desk.
âI just think itâs time for me to try new things, you know?â It was a pathetic excuse, but less pathetic than the actual reasoning.Â
âI try not to interfere with the personal lives of the team, but this is just soâŠsudden. I have to wonder if this has to do with Spencer?â
âThis has nothing to do with him.â You go out of your way to avoid saying his name, suspecting you might taste poison.Â
Hotchâs brow raises, as if his brain has been alerted to key information, head marginally tilting to the side like it does when he catches a lie. He doesnât say anything, eyes narrowing in on you in stoic fashion. You feel like a petulant child thatâs about to receive a scolding from their father.Â
âHonâHonestlyâŠHotch, I justââ
Three rapid knocks cut you off, the door to the office swinging open without waiting for a reply.Â
âSir, Hello, Iâm sorry to interrupt but itâs an emergency. That case we were consulting on for Anchorage PD?â Garcia bursts into the room, slightly discoloured and more panicked than normal. âWell, five more bodies were discovered. Two of them pre-date who we initially thought was the first victim.â
âGarcia, tell everybody to meet on the jet ASAP. Weâll debrief on the flight.â Hotch orders abruptly standing from his seat. âYou and I can finish this meeting later. This case is now our top priority, wheels up.âÂ
Emily, Rossi and Derek were already in their seats when you boarded. You secured your go bag in one of the overhead compartments and temporarily took a seat next to Derek.Â
âHow bad do you think this one is gonna be?â Derek sighs, dreading the horrors that await your arrival.Â
âWeâre up to thirty six bodies and counting. Whoever this unsub is, theyâve been at it a while. So, bad.â You answer honestly.Â
âSpeaking of bad, is everything okay?â
âThat was not even remotely smooth.â You scoff.Â
âIâm just asking as a concerned friend.â He shoots his hands up in defence.
âWhat happened to the days where we at least tried to mind our business. You know, at least asked each other about our weekend plans before jumping into interrogation mode.â You roll your eyes and smirk.Â
âHeyyy, woahâ no oneâs interrogating anyone.â Derek chuckles. âWhat are your plans for the weekend?â
It wasnât long before everybody had made their way on the jet, Spencer being the last one. You didnât notice his arrival, too engulfed in your conversation. He definitely noticed you though. The sound of your giggles caught his attention the second he was in ear shot. He didnât like how warm he felt at the sight of your smiling face. What he disliked more was that he could instantly tell that it wasnât a genuine smile.Â
He quietly made his way to his self assigned seat on the couch, trying his hardest to focus on anything but you. Every laugh that Morgan coaxed out of you bothered him. Spencerâs agony only ended once the jet had successfully taken off.Â
âAlright letâs get started.â Hotch declared and everybody moved to gather around.Â
With all the details laid out by Garcia through the monitor, everybody began stating facts and suggestions. You wrapped up soon enough and retreated to an isolated seat in the back of the jet. It was an almost eight hour flight, seven of which you were planning to use to come up with a solid plan to announce your departure. Life always has to throw a wrench in your plans though, because the lack of sleep from the night before caught up to you and you dozed off almost immediately. Had you any energy left in your body, you might have been privy to the eyes that were on you.Â
âShe didnât say anything as to what the meeting was about?â JJ hushedly pries from her raven haired co worker in the cramped kitchenette. Â
âNo, but Garcia said that âthe air in his office was really tenseâ.â Emily relays, her fingers mimicking quotation marks. âDid Hotch say anything?â
âNo. He just gave me his usual dry look and told me to focus on the case.â JJ rolls her eyes at the thought and leans back against the counter.Â
Despite being the FBIâs most decorated task force, the agents of the BAU werenât strangers to workplace gossip. Youâd just entered the bullpen this morning when Hotch frantically summoned you to his office, not even giving you time to set your things down at your desk. Witnessing the events sparked a guessing game sparked amongst the team.Â
âIs it something we should know about?â Sitting across from Hotch, even Rossi succumbed to his curiosity.Â
âDave youâre not normally one to pry.â Hotch smirks, keeping his eyes on the case-file laid out in front of him.Â
âNo Iâm not. But with the events of the past few months...â Rossi sips his coffee, staring at his younger superior expectantly. â...thereâs been some talk Aaron.â
âTalk?â Hotch meets Rossiâs eyes.
âMhm.â Rossi nods. âApparently youâre transferring one of our two youngest members because they havenât been able to put their differences aside.â
âIâm not transferring anyone. Where did this come from?â The alarm in his tone makes Rossi snicker.
âOffice drama. You know how it is. And while you may not be transferring anybody,â he sets his mug down and looks towards where youâre sound asleep. âIâm guessing somebody is leaving. Hence this morning's meeting.â
âWeâre not supposed to profile each other, you know.â Hotch sighs. âIâd appreciate it if you could keep this contained. I havenât had a chance to properly discuss this with her yet and I think sheâd prefer to break the news herself.âÂ
As you had predicted the case was by no means an easy one. On the first day everybody was split into groups to follow up with the M.E, victimsâ families and examine the crime scenes. All the evidence and information gathered wasnât enough to narrow the profile any more than the generic: male, mid thirties to early forties, hates women. You were now three days in with no viable leads.Â
You were especially frustrated because you felt that you werenât working as well as you could. The stress of your announcement was taking its toll, you were unable to properly converse with your team out of guilt. Hotch sent everyone back to their hotel rooms with the idea that you would start fresh tomorrow. Normally you would room with Spencer, but lately JJ and Emily have been taking turns rooming with both of you. This time you were with Emily.
âI think this may be the first night weâve gotten to turn in early.â Emily yawns as she dramatically stretches her limbs.
âIâm just glad we got to turn in at all, for a while there it looked like we may have to pull another all nighter.â You force a giggle, exasperated. Â
âYou okay?â She doesnât miss a beat, taking the opportunity to ask about your uneasiness.Â
âYeah, fine.â You smile, but it doesnât quite reach your eyes.Â
âYouâre going to snap at some point, you know?â She examines your closed off posture, trying to figure out a way to get you to open up. âSomethingâs clearly wrong. Talk to me.â
âWeâre all on edge right now. Itâs this case.â You hope that youâre being convincing enough.Â
âIt's more than that. Youâve been distant from everybody.â Emily briefly thought back to the Ian Doyle debacle, recognising all the signs of somebody preparing to run away at any given moment.Â
âIâm aware that Iâm not working to my full potentialââ
âThatâs not what I mean and you know that.â She steps closer to you. âI canât force you to tell me whateverâs actually on your mind, but I would really appreciate it if you would. I hate seeing you soâŠdetached. Not just from us, but from yourself.â
Itâs the empathy in her voice instead of the usual sympathy that finally cracks you. Tears pool your eyes and you sink to the floor. Emily sits down next to you without a word. She tries to pull you in for a hug but you push away.Â
âPlease donât.â You sob. âIâm sorry.â
She squeezes your knee to relay that she understands and retracts her hand. Your discomfort with physical touch was another thing you had in common with Spencer. It was just a personal preference for you, unlike his germophobia. He was the only person you were actually comfortable with in terms of touch, but you couldnât fault others for not respecting that boundary when youâd never verbalised it.Â
âIâve been trying to figure out the right way to tell you guys, but I donât think thereâs any way this gets easier.â You recompose yourself after a moment. âIâm, um, leaving.â
You expect her to get upset with you, but find her unfazed.Â
âYou donât look surprised.âÂ
âWell itâs not entirely surprising. I mean given everything thatâs happened.âÂ
âSo youâre not mad?â
âWhy would I be mad?â She leans back with her mouth slightly open.Â
âBecause I feel like Iâm abandoning you guys.â You heavily exhale.Â
âYouâre not abandoning us. Youâre doing what you feel is right for you. I mean, am I happy about it? Definitely not. But I know better than anyone why you feel like you need to do this. And itâs not a decision you have to justify to anybody.â Emily reassures you.Â
âHow do I tell everybody else?â You push for more advice.
âHowever you feel most comfortable doing it. It doesnât have to be some big announcement. You can casually break it to them whenever you get the opportunity. Theyâll understand.âÂ
âThank you, Em.â You genuinely smile this time, eternally grateful that sheâs managed to take some pressure off your shoulders.
âNow while youâre in a mood to shareâŠif you wanna talk about something elseââ She attempts one last time to get you to talk about Spencer, sensing that the mood lightened a bit.Â
âNice try.â You laugh as you rise to your feet, offering your arms out to her to help her stand.
The following two days were a lot easier on you, mentally. You took Emilyâs advice and disclosed your news individually to each team member, each of them more understanding than youâd anticipated. You were surprised to learn that Rossi was already aware, assuming that it came with being a profiler for as long as he had. Derek and JJ did try to talk you out of it initially, but accepted your decision in the end. You still had to talk about this with Garcia, but felt a lot more at ease with mostly everybody knowing.
Except Spencer.
That thought lingered in the back of your mind. You still love him, itâs not something you can just turn off. You shake it off and divert your full attention to the case. Four more bodies had been discovered and with them, a new pattern to the killings. The unsub was devolving. You and Spencer were the only ones at the precinct when the last murder was called in. Meaning you were stuck working on the geographical profile with him while the others were out chasing new leads.Â
Realistically, only one of you was needed to build the profile and decided you were going to let him do it. You quietly sat in the furthest seat possible, trying to make yourself invisible and hoping that this would keep him busy enough to not talk to you. The whole week, you hadnât uttered a single word to him unless it was absolutely necessary for the case. It was as if he didnât exist, even if he was standing right infront of you. Spencer, on the other hand, spent the whole week prodding you for any reaction he could get. Anytime you made suggestions and he happened to be in the area, he tried to one up you.
At times it felt like he was purposely seeking you out, despite his brutal proclamation five days ago. Every attempt to rile you up failed. The most acknowledgement he got from you was a few scoffs and glares. He hadnât even realised he was doing it, until Derek asked him point blank what his problem was. He didnât have an answer, but now that he was aware of it he tried to go out of his way to avoid it.Â
That didnât last more than a few hours. The fact that he had to consciously avoid talking to you pissed him off, especially because he couldnât stop. You pretending like he didnât exist pissed him off even more. The one time he took his eyes off the board in front of him they landed on you. You were busy scribbling words in a file, trying to get a head start on your paperwork.Â
âDo you plan to help at all?â He sneers, noticing that you looked a lot more relaxed than you did at the start of the case.Â
You snap your head towards the board behind him. A rough venn diagram was drawn on a map of the city, small tacked notes labelling prominent buildings in the area.Â
âHow am I meant to help?â You question, darting your eyes between him and the board out of confusion.
âYouâre asking me how to do your job?â He taunts, tilting his head and narrowing his eyes.
You dramatically groan, throwing your head back.Â
Itâs hard to believe that heâs a man of logic in moments like these. There have been far too many in the last few months. You bounce off your seat and head over to the board. Spencer stays glued in his spot and your body accidentally brushes against his as you try to get past. He watches you take off some notes and add on new ones but doesnât register what youâre doing at first. Heâs too intoxicated by your scent. His hand runs through his hair as he steps back in an effort to regain his composure. His teeth grit and his jaw tenses momentarily, he hates that you have the ability to do this to him.Â
âWhat do you think youâre doing?â The pitch of his voice raises and his ears are burning.
âWhat do you mean?â You roll your eyes, shrugging your arms, sarcasm laced in your words.Â
âDonât try to act all dumb!â He berates, shaking his head.Â
âDonât try to act all smart.â Your eyes roll again. Spencer was slowly starting to wear down your apathy.Â
âI am smart.â He scoffs. Your blood boils, this trump card is becoming too repetitive.
âSavour that, itâs the one good thing youâve got going for you!â You finally snap.Â
âYouâre UNBELIEVABLE! The first time you bother to answer me all week and itâs just to argue?â Heâs trying his best to refrain from yelling.
âOh! Youâve been trying to start an argument all week and now that Iâm giving in you canât take it?! Actually, why have you been trying so hard, Doctor? I was under the impression that you canât even stand to look at my face!â
He dryly swallows, unable to respond immediately. The reminder of his words makes him internally cringe. He never meant to say them. It was the most efficient way he could think of at that time to hurt you. Spencer hadnât anticipated the sheer amount of will power it would take to stay away from you. You seeking him out made it infinitely harder. His fake disdain was a defence mechanism, he was hiding behind hatred to get the job done.Â
âYOUââ
âAlright, thatâs enough!â Hotch loudly cuts him off.Â
Neither you nor Spencer noticed the teams return during your squabble. Youâre slightly embarrassed, wondering how much theyâve witnessed. Spencer turns away from you and looks to the blank wall on the other side of the room. You look to the floor and bite the inside of your cheek.Â
âCare to explain whatâs going on?â He grills and you feel like a petulant child receiving a lecture from your father.Â
âShe wasnât doing her job!â Spencer complains. âAnd when I brought it up she messed up my profile!â
âGod youâre insufferable! Itâs called ïżœïżœïżœnarrowing the profileâ, Spencer. Maybe if you did it properly, I wouldnât have to.â You retort.Â
âHey!â Hotch scolds.
It falls silent for a second, awkward glances finding their way around the room. Rossi breaks it first.Â
âYou know, if I didnât know any better, Iâd think you two were bickering toddlers instead of FBI agents.â
You make eye contact with Morgan trying to hold in a laugh and it makes you snort.Â
âWe will discuss this later. Letâs focus on the updates weâve gathered.â Hotch dismisses due to more pressing matters at hand.Â
âAfter talking to friends of the latest victims, I can confirm that they were all last seen in the same club.â JJ pipes up first.
âAnd the dumpsites are all less than twenty minutes away from there. Heâs definitely not holding them anymore.â Morgan adds.
âThat has to be where heâs choosing his victims. Did the medical examiner find anything new?â Hotch asks.
âTraces of GHB.â Emily replies. âWe donât know how heâs administering it into their systems, but my guess would be through the drinks.â
âGamma-hydroxybutyrate, mostly known as GHB, is a party drug that produces feelings of euphoria, confidence, relaxation and sociability. Side effects of GHB can include drowsiness, vomiting, mood swings, dependence, as well as more serious symptoms of unconsciousness. When mixed with alcohol the risk of overdose increases as it can cause respiratory collapse leading to coma or in extreme cases death.â Spencerâs about to continue but quickly recognises that itâs a tangent he needs to cut short.Â
âWait JJ what club were the victims last seen in?â You inquire, walking closer to the map.
When she relays the name it clicks.Â
âThatâs smack in the middle of the comfort zone.â You point at a small red note labelling the building.Â
âSo how do we catch this guy? I mean the club would be packed and we donât know what this guy looks like. The profile tells us that he would blend in, nothing would stand out about him.â Morgan subtly suggests a string operation.
âExcept for when heâs alone with the object of his rage. Which in our case would be the women heâs using as surrogates. He'd be possessive, become clingy, hold on too tight and once those advances are rejected heâd fly into blind rage.â Spencer exclaims without realising the weight of his input.Â
âYeahâŠbut he has a very specific type.â Rossi hesitates.Â
A fact that everybody had been avoiding the case because of how close it hit to home.Â
Youâre his exact type.
âNo.â Hotch shuts down.
âHotch, think about it. I mean this guy is not slowing down. A sting might be our best bet to stop him before he kills again.â JJ shares Rossiâs hesitation.
âItâs too risky!â Spencer blurts, making it clear heâs against the idea.Â
Everyone begins to chime in with their input, but you stay silent and think it over. None of them wanted to put you in this position, but youâd seen the bodies and what heâd done to those women. What heâll continue to do to other women if he isnât stopped. It was a no brainer on your end.Â
âIâll do it!â You announce amidst the chatter.
It comes to an immediate halt, all eyes shifting on you.
âWhat?â Spencer scoffs.
You can tell that heâs genuinely surprised by the small hitch in his voice. Emily sceptically calls your name, posing it as a question.Â
âIâll do it.â You reiterate, taking care to seem as confident as possible.
âAbsolutely not! The odds of this going wrong are way too high!â Spencer howls with a little too much passion.Â
âReidâs right. The unsub is way too unpredictable.â Hotch debates.
âJJ has a point, think about it!â You argue. âWe know for a fact that heâs going to strike tonight. Sending me undercover as bait is better than staking out the place and waiting for him to target a civilian!âÂ
âOkay so letâs send somebody else!â Spencer contests, his tone prayerful.Â
For a split second, you see your best friend again. Heâs showing more regard for you now than he has in months and it makes your heart sink knowing it wonât be forever. Still, you try to reason with him while heâs there.
âThereâs no time! I fit his type. This is our best option.â
âNo, this is stupid and dangerous. Youâre not going in there!â Heâs gone again.Â
âThatâs not your call to make!â You snap.Â
âHotch no!â Spencer tries again.
âKid, relax! This isnât her first undercover mission.â Morgan attempts to calm Reid. âPlus weâll all be there in case anything goes wrong.â
âStatisticallyââ
âFor Godâs sake forget the fucking statistics! Peopleâs lives are at stake!â You loudly end his tangent before it can begin.Â
âAlright, everybody calm down!â Hotch speaks up, making it a point to stare down Spencer.Â
Heâd made his decision and Spencer can only stare back in disbelief, too breathless to argue.Â
âLike Morgan said, weâll be there watching over you, along with some local law enforcement. You wonât be wired, but weâll have a fail safe just in case you need backup earlier than expected. We donât have a lot of time. Letâs get to work.â The unit chief asserts.Â
Before anyone can make any further moves, Spencer storms out of the room. JJ runs after him, assuring Hotch that sheâll take care of it. The rest of you break off to your assigned tasks, preparing for the operation that night.Â
âSpence! Slow down!â She yells, chasing him all the way outside the precinct.Â
Heâs breathing too fast, practically on the edge of hyperventilating. He pushes his hair back with both of his hands, pacing back and forth on the sidewalk.Â
âSpence what the hell is going on with you?â JJ pants, reaching out to touch his shoulder.
âMe?!â Spencer yanks himself away from her. âWhat the hell is going on with all of you?! Youâre all insane for allowing her to do this!â
âSheâs a grown woman and a trained agent! This is her decision. She knows what sheâs getting herself into.â JJ reminds him.Â
âWell itâs not a very smart decision! She shouldnât be making decisions thisâŠthis reckless!â He shrieks.Â
âOkay you need to calm down!â JJ sternly states.Â
âJennifer, do not tell me to calm down! Sheâs about to make herself a direct target for a psychopathic sadist and youâre all just letting it happen!â
âSo what? Should we let some innocent woman become his next target?âÂ
âNo! Iâm not saying we shouldâ justâ why does it have to be her?!â The emphasis on his last word gives him away, JJ picks up on it instantly.Â
âThatâs what this is about? Câmon you know better than this.â She relaxes her shoulders. âSpencer, we all care about her. We all want her to be safe. And she will be as long as we separate out feelings fromââ
âFeelings? This has nothing to do with how I feelââ
âOkay stop! Stop! God!â JJ huffs with pauses between her words. âI am so sick of this! This is clearly about your feelings. The past four months have all been aboutââ
She smacks her hands against her face as she takes a deep breath, a display of frustration.Â
âListen to me.â She commands, exhausted from the back and forth. âItâs clear that you two care deeply for each other, whether youâre willing to admit it or not. Neither of you will talk about whatever it is thatâs caused this riftâ fine! But donât you think itâs time to bury the hatchet now that sheâs leaving?â
Spencer freezes.Â
â...Leaving?â He repeats, taken off guard.Â
JJ takes a moment to read his expression.Â
âShe didnât tell you?â JJ mutters, still scanning his face.Â
âWhatâ what are youâŠâ He canât find the words, his eyes blinking rapidly as he tries to process her words.
âSheâs resigning, Spencer. Sheâs leaving the FBI.â JJ canât hide how sheâs surprised that you havenât shared this with him.Â
âNo, that's not possible. She loves this job. Why would she leave?â Denial is his first response.
Spencer thinks over your possible motivations and can only land on the obvious. Youâd only leave if you grew to hate the job.Â
Did he do this? Did he make you hate it?
âWe were all surprised when she first told us, I mean, it came out of nowhere.â
âWe?â He rubs his temple, anticipating a possible migraine from the bomb that just dropped on him. âHow long?â
âWhat?â
âHow long have you guys known?â He balefully sighs, trying his hardest to not misplace his anger.Â
âItâs hard enough at work, I donât want to see your face in my personal time too.âÂ
He had no one to be angry at, but himself.
âA day? Maybe two? She told us individually. Honestly with this case I havenât had time to wrap my head around it.â JJ honestly reveals.Â
So not long. Maybe you were still making your way around to telling him? You wouldnât just leave without so much as telling him, would you?
A few months ago, Spencer wouldâve confidently answered no. Today he was sure that you would. He so badly hoped that he was wrong.Â
âSpence, look, we can talk about this later. But right now, you need to make sure youâre able to stay objective. Can you do that?â
He nods relentlessly, tucking his hair behind his ears. A habit he adapted early in life. It was an indicator of the gears turning in his head. JJ gives him a few more minutes outside before guiding him back in to help with preparations. Spencer absentmindedly performed his tasks, but all he could think about was you.Â
Youâre leaving and heâs the only person you hadnât disclosed this information to. Abandonment was a feeling he was all too used to, but he never imagined that youâd abandon him. He knows that he can only blame himself, but he still canât help the irritation thatâs creeping in his veins.Â
Even as he straps up his hidden bullet proof vest hours later, he canât push the sentiment away. You were setting yourself up as bait for one of the most dangerous types of serial killers. On top of purposely putting yourself in direct line danger, you were leaving without telling him. He wouldâve showed up to work one day and youâd be gone.
Right now he stands just a few feet away from you and you donât look toward him once. No one would be able to guess that youâre undercover. Itâs amazing how youâve managed to transform yourself from supervisory special agent to a regular socialite and party girl in a couple of hours.
If he could overcome the hurt he feels at the moment, he might see how breathtaking you look. Then again, you always appear breathtaking to him. Before he knows it, heâs walked right up to you. You donât feel his presence looming behind you until you bump into him when you turn around.Â
âShit Spencer!â You jump, mostly because of the nerves from the upcoming night.Â
Heâs about to say something but you beat him to it.
âDonât start! Iâm not in the mood.â You brush him off and disappear out of sight.
It was like that for much of the preparations. Heâd muster the courage to try and talk to you, and youâd walk away. Much like how Spencer would avoid you when your friendship first fell apart.Â
âEverybody in position?â Hotch inquires through his ear piece.Â
âAffirmative.â Morgan gives the greenlight for your entry into the club.Â
You made your way to the bar, making it a point to sit alone. You didnât have to wait long. Archie Carter, 36, cheated on by his ex fiance before their wedding. She ran away with another man because Archie failed to keep his sadistic traits hidden and it scared her off. Torturing and murdering women who looked like her was his way of giving her a real reason to be scared.Â
This was all information Garcia found after it was nearly too late. Heâd managed to get you on the dance floor, subtly injecting you with the GHB. You didnât even feel him do it. To everybody else it just seemed like you were playing your part really well on the dance floor, when in reality you were struggling to stand up. You couldnât give out any signals and he was able to slip you away into the back alley under the noses of five FBI agents.Â
It was Spencer whoâd found you fighting for your life against Archieâs grip around your throat. Spencer, who put the bullet in Archieâs head after being unable to talk him down. Spencer who kneeled above you, begging you to come back as he began CPR. If heâd found you any later you mightâve been gone for good.Â
Pissed was an understatement.
At the piece of shit that almost ripped you away from the world. At Hotch and the team for not listening. At himself for being right. Not you though, for the first time in a long time, he wasnât pissed at you. He was terrified. Both for you and for almost losing you.Â
You had to stay a few extra days in Anchorage, bound to your hospital room. The team refused to fly back without you, each of them taking turns to keep you company. They all felt an immense amount of guilt but you reassured them that it wasnât their fault. Your tongue grew tired of reminding them that this was a part of the job. Rossi joked that it was a good thing you were leaving it all behind in that case and it stung more than you were willing to admit.Â
In your brush with death you came to the revelation that you didnât want to leave, but hearing Spencerâs voice lull you back to him confirmed that you needed to. You couldnât bring yourself to hear him talk everyday and not be the person he was talking to. It was why you had basically barred him from visiting you during your recovery there. Seeing his face was more than you could handle at the time. Not seeing yours weighed on him, because he needed to see if you were okay.
Physically, he knew youâd be fine once the doctors confirmed it. Mentally, he knew all too well of the repercussions that came with almost dying directly by the hands of an unsub. Youâd been discharged and cleared fifty eight hours after you were admitted, and the team was ready to fly back a few hours later. All the signs of being less than okay were there. He recognised them as soon as he saw you board the jet.Â
Besides the obvious bruises collaring your neck, there was some minor swelling that lingered. That wasnât his biggest concern. It was the smile plastered on you when you put on your âIâm okayâ act for the others. Your eyes, like always, gave you away. You were already trying to sweep everything under the rug. Less than a few minutes after take off you isolated yourself in the back. Youâd been doing that a lot in your recent cases.Â
It irked him how everybody just let you. He decided right then that he wasnât going to. He didnât care how much you hate him, he was going to ensure that you came out of this truly okay. You were mindlessly staring out the window, counting the clouds, listening to the music playing through your headphones. You tried to ignore the feeling of being watched. Youâd felt like that since you came to, in the alley.Â
It took you a second to understand that you were actually being watched, turning to find Spencer in the previously empty seat across from you.Â
âYouâve gotta stop sneaking up on me.â You snark, ripping off your headphones, still recovering from the small jump scare.
âSorry.â He chuckles out of habit.
You unintentionally smile at the sound and find yourself staring in his eyes.Â
âAreââ He falters as he thinks the question over in his head. âIs there anything I can get you?â
Youâre taken aback, not expecting those words. You had a script prepared to waive off questions about your well being. He knows you better than that, throwing you off course as usual.
âWhat do you want?â You grumble, accepting that you couldnât get past him.
âI want to know if thereâs anything I can get you.â He repeats in a low tone.Â
There he is again. The Spencer you know and love. Your heart threatens to leap.
âIf this is to clear some guilty conscience, donât bother.â You verbally guard yourself. âIâm fine.â
It would be a lie if he said his reasoning was completely selfless. He was hardly able to keep away from you without feeling like he was drowning, but it was nothing compared to how he felt when he thought he may have lost you forever. The feeling didnât last very long, he was able to revive you within a few seconds, but never feeling like that again would be too soon.Â
Spencer believed in two things; statistics and facts. One fact he refused to ignore any longer is that he couldnât live without you. He quietly opened that satchel that still clung across his torso, fishing out some pain killers and an unopened water bottle.Â
âI know you probably forgot to take yours out of your bag.â He ignores your previous comment and slides the items across the table to you.Â
Your gaze lingers on the items in front of you, but your hands stay folded in your lap as you piece everything together.Â
âYou know.â You whisper.Â
âWere you going to tell me?â He gulps after a beat of silence.Â
âDoes it matter?â You're quick to respond.
âI wanna hear it from you.â Heâs just as fast.Â
You look up from the leaf of pills, heâs already surveilling you. Itâs a short lived staring contest because your focus shifts behind him to Hotch, whoâs observing this encounter from the kitchenette on the other end. Spencer continues waiting on you for a response but you stand up, ready to walk away. It dawns on you when you see your supervisor that technically you hadnât officially resigned yet. The paperwork never got started because this case took priority and that was a detail you needed to sort out right away.
âDonât go.â Spencer pleads when you take your first step.
Was it a request to sit back down or to stay with the BAU? You didnât bother to clarify, he had no right to ask for either.Â
You let out a deep, exasperated sigh as you lie curled up in your warm sheet, scowling at the floor beneath you. It seemed that the universe (your friends) had it out to delay your departure as much as possible. Itâs been four days since your return from Anchorage and youâve been stuck in your apartment since Hotch dropped you off here. Heâs ordered mandatory time off for your recovery, meaning the paperwork has to wait.Â
You could be using this time in a more productive manner. You could be searching for a new job. And a new place to live. You should be trying to figure out where this new place would be. You never actually thought that far ahead. In your haste to run away, you forgot to plan your next steps. Youâve convinced yourself that you canât do any of it until the forms are filled out.Â
The âuniverseâ isnât the only thing delaying you.Â
If you really wanted to, you could have everything emailed to you. You can have it done online, but there are two major problems. The first is pretty straight forward; youâre not ready to leave. You know that this is the best course of action for everybody, but your brain and your heart are at an impasse. Youâve dedicated years to this job because you love this job. Unfortunately, you love Spencer more, which means that staying is going to drive you to hate your job.Â
The other reason is slightly more nuanced and you donât want to think about it, opting to let your impasse be the reason for your lack of motivation to do anything other than bed rotting. Itâs not as bad as it seems, itâs more self care than anything. Your bodyâs telling you it needs to rest and youâre simply obliging. Plus, it couldnât be that serious if you still had bursts when you had to keep up appearances. You have to be okay if youâre able to force yourself to open the front door for your coworkers when they come to check on you. You really werenât that miserable if you managed to smile and laugh for their short visits.Â
And itâs not like youâre truly rotting. You showered quite often, you actually just had your second one today. You were definitely okay if you could manage to keep up with hygiene. Itâs not excessive, you need to scrub the purple away. You know thatâs not how it works, but you canât stand to look at the parts of your neck where his hands were wrapped around. If you close your eyes for long enough you can still feel him squeezing untilâ
Youâre okay.
No, youâre irritated. The incessant knocking on your front door wonât stop no matter how much you ignore it. You were relieved when evening came. It meant that normal visiting hours were over and you could rest today. If it wasnât any of your usual visitors then it had to be stranger. The thought made you uneasy, you hesitated to answer it at all.Â
You canât live in fear all the time.Â
The door eventually opens and Spencer sees you for the first time in days. He actually tried to check on you earlier, but Penelope insisted everybody stick to her roster so you donât get overwhelmed. The circles under your eyes were almost as dark as his, you hadnât been getting much sleep. The swelling around your throat was almost all gone, but the bruising wasnât healing like he expected it to.Â
âSpencerâŠwhat are you doing here?â Your voice is hoarse.Â
âI brought take out.â He gently dangles a bag of food in front of him, his voice high, but quiet.Â
You can practically smell the contents of the bag, nostalgia hitting you like a ton of bricks. It was your favourite thing to order on the days heâd come over for movie nights. Before Spencer showed you a side of him you didnât know existed. It felt like a taunt, like he was twisting the metaphorical knife he plunged in your heart. It made you sick.
âI already ate.â You lie, mustering a dull smile on your face.
Spencer swallows and bites the inside of his cheek, not taking his eyes off you. Trying to think of the best way to call you out without causing you to shun him.Â
âWe can do something else until youâre hungry again.â He gives a tight lipped smile and raises his furrowed brows, like heâs pleading for you to accept his offer.
âI donât think Iâll be hungry anytime soon.â You awkwardly laughâ well itâs close to a laugh if not for your strained vocal chords.Â
âCan I come in anyway? We can put on a movie.â Heâs using the voice he used to when trying to comfort you or convince you of something. Soft, low, steady. Itâs a stark contrast to the voice youâve been hearing for the last ten days.Â
Please donât come back here. Itâs hard enough at work, I donât want to see your face in my personal time too.
Tears threaten the composure youâre working so hard to maintain.
âWhy are you really here?â You sigh, unable to stick with the pleasantries.Â
âI told you.â He emphasises the bag of food in his hands again. âTake out. Maybe a movieââ
âCut the shit.â You assert, harshly. âYou can tell Penelope that you came to see me so she gets off your back, but please stop pretending like you care.â
âThatâsâŠis that why you think Iâm here?â His shoulders drop.
âIsnât it?â You bite, your door now wide open as you lean against it for support. Your legs are aching to curl into your chest again.Â
âNo.â His reply is short and clear, leaving no room for misinterpretation. âIâm here because I want to be here.â
âWhy? Thereâs nothing in it for you.â You scoff, blinking from confusion. âUnlessâŠis this some sick game? Seeing me like thisâ knowing that Iâmâ are you trying to gloat?â
âGloat?â He repeats in almost a whisper, the hurt in his voice evident.
âRelish, rejoice, rub it in, I donât know. Youâre the walking thesaurus.â
He can tell from your lax posture that you're amused. Your back is against your door, hands behind your back and youâre leaning forward a bit as you stare at the ground. Not caring that your words cut deep.
Is this how low you think he is?
âWhy would I be enjoying this?â His hopeful smile drops entirely as he tries to understand you.Â
âCall it epicaricacy.â You shrug.Â
âEpicaricacy?â He mumbles in a whispered tone, like heâs trying to process what you said.
Deriving pleasure from the misfortune of others.
Your eyes roll from how slow heâs acting and you have to hold yourself back from repeating the definition out loud.
âDo you honestly think I enjoy seeing you like this?â The change in pitch stings a bit.Â
âNo, I donât think you like seeing me at all.â You half smirk up at him, sadness evident in your eyes. âWhich brings us back toâŠwhy are you here Doc?â
âThatâs not true.â He cringes, ignoring the second part.
âNot true?â You wiggle your brows sarcastically.Â
âNot true.â He reaffirms, sighing deeply. âI didnât mean it. Iâm sorry.âÂ
âYouâre sorry.â You scoff again, shaking your head.
âI know that Iâve been unreasonableââ
âUnreasonable?â The tip of your tongue rolls against the back of your teeth, bewildered at his sheer audacity.Â
âA dick! Iâve been a dick.â He corrects himself, desperate to have you hear him out.Â
You tighten your jaw, inhaling lightly through your nose and your brows are raised as high as they can go.Â
âI was hurt. Okay? I wash lashing out, but, Iââ He takes a deep breath to stop himself, wanting to get to the point. âI know that Iâve been acting otherwise but, I care about you. And when I found you back thereâŠI justâŠI know what youâre going through, even if you wonât admit it. I donât want you to go through it alone.â
Your expression softens as he speaks. Of course he knows. He knows you better than anyone. For a moment you consider allowing yourself to break down in his arms, like you would have once. Itâs jarring, Spencer reverting to his former self after he saved your life. The comfort swiftly bubbles into anger. All your attempts for reconciliation were met with so much hostility before. It took you almost dying for him to care. It feels too little too late. The only thing you can think of as he stands next to you is all the ways he can further hurt you if you let him. You push off your door and stand straight, giggling bitterly.Â
âSpencer, go home.â You say with the same bitterness.Â
âPleaseââ
âGo home! I donât want your pity!â You yell. It feels alleviating. âDo you honestly think that anything changes just because you saved my life? Do you think it erases everything thatâs happened in the past few months? Because it doesnât! Things canât go back to how they were simply because you feel bad that I almost died. Itâs not a flip you can switch. You donât just get to start caring!âÂ
You're heaving and he can only stare at the ground. He knows youâre right, except for the one crucial error in your speech.Â
âI never stopped caring.â He mumbles.
This fucking idiot.
Enraged, sad, frustrated, confused; all emotions youâve been suppressing that are now fighting to show at the same time. You take a step closer to him and he meets your eyes again. You can see that heâs holding back tears, same as you. It fuels you in a twisted way. You have an opportunity to hurt him the way he hurt you and you donât let it go to waste.
âDonât come back here. Itâs hard enough at work to see your face at work, I donât want to see it in my personal time too.âÂ
You canât stay to see the effects of his words thrown back at his face, your heartâs threatening to burst from how fast itâs racing. His jaw locks from how tense he is. He knows exactly why you said it, but itâs still hard to hear. You turn around and rush into your apartment, shutting the door on his face, leaving him standing there. You donât make it too far inside, collapsing on the wooden floor with a choked sob.Â
That didnât make you feel as good as you thought it would. You hoped that maybe if you could make him feel at least a fraction of youâre feeling, youâd hurt less. It was more than just getting back at him for everything heâs done. You were unknowingly trying to punish him for what Archie Carter did too. It didnât make you hurt any less, but at least you felt less alone in your hurt.Â
He didnât come back for the rest of your time off. Everybody continued to follow the roster, showing up on their days and bringing you âget well soonâ goodies. Penelope even invited herself over for a night's stay once. You didnât have the heart to say no, but you found yourself counting the hours until youâd be alone again, free to wallow. The only respite you got for the next week was on Spencerâs days. You could expect to be left mostly alone, only a bag of take out accompanied by an eerily fitting quote sitting outside your door.Â
You hate to admit that those were your favourite days. You had a chance to breathe and he somehow knew exactly what you needed to hear. You gave the food away in protest and the quote would go straight in the bin (once you read it). One final psych evaluation later you were cleared to come back. Not that you needed one since you didnât plan to stay for long. It was really just a formality. By the time you returned only a few faded bruises remained, easy enough to cover with concealer.Â
âYouâre back! Ooh, itâs so good to see you!â Garcia was the first with a warm greeting and a tight hug. You reciprocated to the best of your ability.Â
âGood to have you back, Pretty Girl.â Derekâs second, walking you through the bullpen as you make your way to Hotchâs office.
âEnjoy it while you can.â You giggle in reply. âIs Hotch in yet?â
âI see someone canât wait to leave us.â Emily jokes, feigning a hurt look. You roll your eyes.
âYeah, heâs expecting you.â JJ laughs, slapping Emilyâs arm playfully.Â
âThanks JJ!â You smile and they all watch you disappear behind the door.Â
âSo itâs official? Sheâs really leaving?â JJ questions through a half-hearted smile.Â
âI asked Rossi and he said that Hotch is gonna ask her to stay until we find a replacement.â Emily replies, still eyeing the door.Â
âHow did you get Rossi to admit that?â JJ turns to the raven head, questioningly, and Emily smiles coyly giving no response.Â
âAm I the only one who thinks this whole thing would end once they make up? I mean come on, we all know sheâs leaving because of him, right?â Morgan looks at Spencer, whoâs nose deep in a file at his desk.Â
âYeah, but we canât help if they refuse to talk to us about it.â Emily sighs, hanging her head back.Â
The three dive deeper into their discussion and youâre none the wiser from inside the cream-coloured walls of Hotchâs office. As per protocol, heâs just finished informing you of whatâs next and youâre kind enough to accept his request to stay until they find a replacement. You definitely said yes because you want to make the teamâs transition easier, not for any self indulgent reasons such as you not being ready to leave.Â
âJust return this to me once youâve filled it out.â He instructs as he hands you a file containing your resignation forms.Â
âThanks Hotch.â You smile, grabbing the file.Â
You begin heading towards the door when he stops you by your name.Â
âI understand that youâre set on this decision, but I am sad to see you go.â Itâs insane how many emotions this man can get across while maintaining a blank expression. âHowever, if you change your mind at any point, let me know.âÂ
âThanks Hotch.â You playfully scoff, appreciating that even he has to try at least once.Â
If one more person tries though, you might scream. It wasnât easy, pretending that you werenât crumbling inside. The extra pressure doesnât make it any easier. You leave his office, closing the door behind you and approach your desk. The resignation forms are put aside for later as you still have to finish your case report from Anchorage. Part of you wanted to put it off until the last minute, the other part wanted to get it over and done with as soon as possible.Â
âCoffee?â Penelope chirps, holding out a mug filled with the hot beverage.Â
âThanks Pen.â You smile up at her, taking it out of her hands.Â
âNo problem.â She smirks mischievously and trots off.Â
A strange lady, but your strange lady.
Upon your first sip you almost choke it out. It was perfect. Exactly to your liking. Which would be a good thing, except only one person knows exactly how you like it. Back when you first joined, you learned how popular coffee was with all the employees. You felt out of place because you werenât a massive fan of the drink and you avoided too much sugar because it made you feel sick. You soon discovered that you liked it a lot more with honey instead. It was a weird preference, but it worked for you, making it sweet without overpowering your senses like sugar did.Â
You never declined a cup when offered by your colleagues, not wanting to dishearten them. It was Spencer who caught you sneaking honey into your cup when you thought no one was paying attention. He never mentioned anything to you, but the next time he returned with a cup to offer, you couldnât help but the smile that adorned your face for the rest of the day. It was why you dedicated yourself to morning breakfast runs for him, memorising his coffee order as a silent thank you. Neither of you ever talked about it.Â
You spin your seat around to find Spencer engaged in conversation with Rossi. You consider walking past him and dumping the beverage in the sink to make a point, but it was a welcome energiser for the dreadful task at hand. Plus you arenât wasteful. You spin back around and decide to accept it just this once.Â
When heâs sure youâre no longer looking he sets his sights back on you. A small smile forms across his lips when he sees you drink the coffee. He honestly expected you to throw it away. He feared that if he was the one to deliver the mug, youâd throw it on him. It was why he convinced Garcia to do it, bribing her by promising to buy a round of drinks on the next night out.Â
âKid, are you even listening?â Rossi scolds in an incredulous way.Â
As the hours pass, your frustration grows. You couldnât get yourself to write the details of the case. Your mind refused to think about it. You had hoped that taking breaks would make it easier, but everytime you returned to the page your head went blank.
âNeed some help?â Spencer asks, spawning next to you.
âChrist, Reid!â You blurt, startled. âI thought I told you to stop doing that.âÂ
âSorry.â He chuckles as if on cue.Â
You glare at him expectantly. He doesnât say anything, glancing between you and the unfinished case file, waiting for an answer.Â
âNo thanks.â You keep it short, hoping he takes the hint.Â
âLet me know if you do.â He doesnât.Â
âYou wouldnât even be the last person Iâd ask if I did.â You snark.Â
âBut you would eventually?â He stays calm, almost playful.Â
Smart ass.Â
You choose to ignore him, be the bigger person and all that. Even though he wasnât antagonising you.Â
âThanks for the coffee.â Itâs forceful gratitude. You werenât feeling grateful, but you still had manners.Â
âYouâre welcome.âÂ
âDonât make it again.âÂ
âI will not.â He grins and walks away to his desk.Â
You act like you donât know heâs watching you work. Looking up often to find you stuck on the same page. Even if he knew that you know, he didnât plan to stop. What he does know is that youâd never directly let him help you. He doesnât care. There werenât any new cases this week, so a ton of paperwork was to be expected. Itâs taunting enough to write down details of your own assault, the extra paperwork would only add more stress. Youâre too busy trying to push through the mental blockade to notice the sudden influx of files on his desk and the efflux on yours.Â
What you didnât miss was how the next cup of coffee you were offered was just as perfect as the one from before.Â
âI thought I told you to stop with the coffee, Reid.â You lightly slam the paper cup on Spencerâs desk.Â
He leans back in his seat and chews on his lip with an entertained smirk.Â
âAnd I did. Thatâs not from me.â Heâs earnest with his response.
âOh, so JJ just happens to know my coffee preferences all of a sudden?â You sarcastically retort, crossing your arms.
âNo.â He crosses his fingers across his lap. âI told her how you like your coffee when she said she was going on a coffee run.â
âAnd why did you do that?â You play along, unenthusiastically.Â
âBecause you told me to stop doing it.â He states in the most casual way possible.Â
This was getting you nowhere. It was naive to think heâd let you spend your last few weeks here peacefully. Scratch thatâ he was being peaceful. Too peaceful. A new tactic to get under your skin?
âStop. It.â The delivery of your words is slow and emphasised.Â
âStop doing exactly what youâve told me to?â
You bite your tongue and glare at him. His face, shoulders, arms, everything, is relaxed. You canât even argue with him. You take a moment to consider how bad it would be if you bashed his head in with the back of your gun. Then you take another to critique how easy it is to pass the psych evals. They should really think about the consequences of using questions the BAU wrote on actual BAU agents.Â
After that day you went back to ignoring him. Any time coffee was offered youâd decline altogether. If he attempted to try and talk to you, youâd respond with yes or no for the sake of professionalism. This didnât deter Spencer though. He gave you your space but kept a close eye on you, continuing to try and ease your burdens from afar. Exactly how he used to.Â
This only lasted until the next case came in. Specifically until you were back out on the field, where he perceived you to be in high amounts of danger. You tolerated it because it gave you comfort, not that youâd ever tell him. Having Spencer by your side made it easier to deal with the reality that thereâs little you can do if another incident like Anchorage occurred.Â
Plus focusing your energy on ignoring him kept the flashbacks away. Or it did, until the take down. You once again found yourself in danger from an unsub, only this time the situation was controlled. All guns were pointed at the killer, except for the one that was pointed at you. The plan was simple: you talk down the unsub, take him back to the station and talk him into exposing his partner.Â
Everything was going according to plan, until Spencer realised that one of the cops in the room was his partner and he was about to shoot you. Nobody understood what happened before the situation calmed down. Spencer had fired the first shot towards the dirty cop and immediately tackled you to the ground, shielding you from the hail of bullets that followed after. All you remember clearly is freezing up, clinging to the man on top of you. One moment you were screaming out, trying to make sure that he was okay and the next you were back in the alley behind the bar, fighting for your life.Â
You didnât comprehend anything until the panic attack subsided but Spencer was fine. His vest caught the bullets. Both unsubs were dead. Rossi and Prentiss came to the realisation the same time as Spencer and were quick to react. And you werenât in the alley. You were in Spencerâs arms as he led you away from the scene when it was safe.Â
When you snapped out of it the medics had cleared him of any injuries. He tried to approach you during your check up, but you shoved him away, unable to even look at him. The only thing you remember clearly is Hotch sending you all back to your hotel rooms before tomorrowâs flight back. You should be asleep right now, if not from the exhaustion of todayâs events alone, then from how long you spent reassuring everybody that you were okay.Â
You couldnât sleep. Not when so many thoughts were occupying your headspace. This is the second time Spencerâs saved your life, in the span of roughly a month. The first time heâs put his life in direct danger to save yours. Had it not been for his vest he would be dead. The more you linger on it, the angrier youâd become. You were also wearing a vest, you wouldâve been fine. What he did was unnecessary and reckless.Â
What if the bullet missed the vest? Entered through the side? What was he thinking?
You were mentally fighting the urge to barge into his room and yell at him for his stupidity, but you couldnât bring yourself to go to him. What happens to him is not your problem anymore. You arenât going to let your guard down just because heâs an idiot.
Spoilers: BAU! Reader, Reader almost dies, Reader and Spencer are pissing me off, bc theyâre so dumb, angst, hurt no comfort, Reader gets a little revenge.
AN - Before you comment ANYTHING, there is one more part. Itâll be posted a lot sooner than this one was. Writing this made me realise how limited the English language is. Thereâs only so many words to use and ways to write them. If either part sounds repetitive at times, itâs not my fault!!! Casual reminder: I am not Spencer Reid. I donât have an IQ of 187. Any facts I make him spew could very well be bull-shit and he only spews them for the purpose of the story. I also have no knowledge of how the FBI works and lack a ton of common sense. A lot of things were made up for the purpose of this story.
If you comment you garner good karma for yourself and that could lead to you meeting MGG someday (Iâm not liable if this never happens), think about that...Â
Thank you for reading!

Manfred Von Karma did not burn Phoenix's letters to Miles.
Like, I'm not even saying this to defend Manfred's character (though the fanbase does get a little crazy with what he actually did and didn't do) I'm saying this because that's not canon. I'm not sure it was even possible in canon.
Phoenix didn't write letters to Germany. He didn't know Miles was in Germany, let alone Von Karma's address. He didn't even know who Von Karma was until Edgeworth told him about Manfred in Turnabout Goodbyes.
In the game canon, Miles just stopped showing up to school one day. All Phoenix seemed to know was that he transferred schools suddenly. He didn't know why or where to. Remember, Phoenix didn't even hear about DL-6 until Turnabout Sisters when Maya mentioned her family's involvement.
Even in the anime canon (I haven't watched the anime in a while so I might be off about this) where Phoenix and Miles get a chance to properly say goodbye, Phoenix still doesn't have a direct means of contacting him. His best way of doing so was dedicating a song through the radio using Signal Samurai codenames and hoping Miles would hear it.
Phoenix mentions trying to contact him several times when explaining their relationship to Maya, but this was after finding out Miles was this "Demon Attorney". Miles would have to be at least 20 at this point in time, living back in California with at least a few trials under his belt. With how young he reached success, it's not impossible Miles was living on his own at the time. Even if he wasn't, I doubt Manfred was going through this grown adult's mail.
No, what the game seems to be implying is that Miles ignored Phoenix. (Maya even says, "I guess he didn't want to hear from his old friends.") And I don't think this was out of hatred or anything, I think Miles just wanted to forget his past entirely because even the good memories of his childhood would be bittersweet at best.
And to be honest that makes it even more tragic to me. Why do we need Manfred to intercept their connection when Miles' trauma and guilt complex is already doing that?
I like to think Miles knew Phoenix would be asking questions if he ever responded to those initial attempts at contact. Questions he of course doesn't want to answer because they'd at best open old wounds or at worst risk his childhood friend finding out he might have committed patricide.
I also like to think he knew Phoenix of all people would stubbornly try to find the answers Miles wouldn't willingly give because he literally mentions Phoenix always being "single minded in his work" and "always seeing things through to the end". If anyone was going to press and bring those uncomfortable and painful memories out in the open for the sake of "helping him", it would be Phoenix Wright.
Why do we need Manfred to take away all that complexity and tragedy? That is such a waste!
#also Manfred didnât know who Phoenix was#even when they were opposing council he didnât recognize him outside of court#yes it's fine to bend canon when writing fanfic of course#but like it's so overdone and accepted as canon#just...guys there is so much angst and amazing character study RIGHT THERE#why do we need a villain to do something so petty when there's enough angst in canon characterization#god if i could write maybe I'd make a fanfic about this fhfhdh#feral yapping hours#manfred von karma#miles edgeworth#phoenix wright#wrightworth#narumitsu#ace attorney

SAVE THE GIRL
pairing: coriolanus snow x fem!mentor!reader
summary: when you start to feel bad for the tributes, itâs when snow slowly starts to crack. when you snuck into the arena to properly send your goodbyes to one is when he loses it, making it his mission to get you out, even if it means costing his life
warnings: SPOILERS. descriptions of killing, Snow being a bad friend to Sejanus and manipulative, reader essentially replaces Sejanus in the movieâs original scene
âWe all know how this works right guys?â Lucky Flickerman says, his eyes held a sparkle within them. âAs soon as your tribute dies, youâre out!â
The screen flickers on the arena, its dusty surroundings filled you with a sense of dread.
You had gotten Lamina, a girl who you were afraid would die as soon as the timer went off. But she managed to impress you, and completely won you over when she had speared the other tributesâ pain and suffering by killing them with an axe.
âCoryo,â you whisper to the blonde hair boy who was almost drifting into sleep. âCoryo.â
âHm?â He fixes his posture, âis something wrong with Lucy Gray?â
You shake your head, and only pointed to the empty desks surrounding you. âMany died.â
âYour point?â
It almost seems as if Coriolanus was bored of your commentary, he probably was, you did wake him from his sleep.
âThis doesnât feel right Coryo. Not at all. Any of it.â
Coriolanus lets out a breath of annoyance. It was always like that with him, he seemed always to be one step aheadâor at least he presented himself in that way, and he seemed like he was annoyed with anyone who wasnât on the same level as him.
You and Coriolanus went way back. You were the first few to have known of the death of his father, Coriolanus had told you about it with tears in his eyes. Not because he missed his father, not really, but because he was afraid that there would be nothing left of the Snow family by the time the war was over.
When you first entered the Academy, Snow linked himself with Clemensia Dovecote, a pretty black haired girl who he had gotten close with, and if anyone didnât know better, they mightâve been more than just friends. But Coriolanus and Clemensia came off as acquaintances by association to you more than anything.
He stopped doing group projects with you so he could do it with her, and he had made himself friendly with Sejanus, a boy who was originally from the Districts but managed to buy his way into the Capitol. Or at least, thatâs what all of your seething classmates said as they looked at him in disgust.
âYou sound like Sejanus.â Is all Coriolanus says, glancing back at his small television screen.
âSejanus is our friend, Coryo.â
âSejanus is district.â Coriolanus slams his hand on your desk, making you flinch. âNo matter how much money he has, no matter how much he tries to fit in, he will always be district. And you? You might as well be district with him if you keep acting like this.â
Your brows furrow, and you start to get angry. Who the fuck does Coriolanus Snow think he is?
âAnd I suppose youâre so well off Capitol yourself, Coriolanus?â
The way your words drip with such venom makes Snow almost crumble, but he doesnât, instead, choosing to inch his face just a meter over yours. âDonât say anymore things you donât mean, Y/N.â
And that was the end of it. Coriolanus Snow wins every argument, and you hated him so much. Why couldnât he see this was wrong? You knew he had a heart in there somewhere, which was why he was helping Lucy Gray Baird in the first place. Unless he was doing it all for the Plinth prize, for the money.
As you watch your tribute fall to her death, the loud crack adding all to your misery, you wanted to throw the television and desk across the room, just like Sejanus had previously. They were monsters, all of them.
âIâm sorry Y/N.â Coriolanus says, his eyes flickering up to meet yours.
But Coriolanus Snow canât be sorry, he canât feel empathy, he canât feel pain, and most importantly, he canât feel love.
As the games went on, Coriolanus was slumped into his chair, sleep overcoming his senses.
Dr. Gaul clears her throat, her loud but snake like movements made Coriolanus jolt awake, hissing as he accidentally hurt himself on the edges of the desk.
âI see youâre still here, Mr. Snow.â
âIs something wrong?â Coriolanus asks, eyebrows furrowing. âIs Lucy Gray okay?â
âOh her? Sheâs fine.â Dr. Gaul waves the girl off like she meant nothing. âItâs your friend, Iâm worried about.â
âMy friend?â Coriolanus whips his head around to try and find you, but you were gone, leaving no trace.
âYes.â Dr. Gaul motions to the wide television in front. âSheâs in the arena right now. Doing this goodbye thing for her tribute.â
Coriolanus doesnât want to believe Dr. Gaul, but how could he not when youâre shown so clearly in the cameras, putting flowers into the hand of your tribute. Almost as if you saw her as human.
âNow Miss. L/N hasnât done anything like this in the past, so it does spark questions in my mind as to why sheâs suddenly..â Dr. Gaul pauses. âRebelling.â She says this as if it were poison on her tongue.
âFrom Sejanus, I would expect this. But from our own people, Coriolanus? Now this is absurd. Iâll make sure to get the name of the peacekeeper who let her in and have them executed.â Dr. Gaul gives him a smile, one that sends chills up Coriolanusâs back. âNow I happen to know you two are friends, close friends even; so I need you to go into the arena and fetch her out.â
âMe?â Coriolanus stutters out, hesitance clearly showing in his voice.
âIs that hesitance I hear, Mr. Snow?â Dr. Gaul steps even closer. âEveryone in the Capitol is asleep by now, which means they wonât see the foolishness Miss. Y/N is currently causing. You will go into the arena and take her out before she does anything more stupid. I will not let these rebels make mockery of my game, Mr. Snow. I will simply not allow it.â
And Coriolanus knows he has no choice but to obey Dr. Gaulâs orders.
He makes his way quietly into the arena, making sure his footsteps werenât creating such loud noises to alert the tributes.
âY/N,â he whispers as he gets close to your kneeling figure. He watches as you slowly put your hand over Laminaâs eyes, closing them for her. âY/N.â
âYou shouldnât be here,â you reply, not bothering to turn around to face the boy.
âBut I am.â He grunts out in annoyance. âIâm here to save your ass because thatâs what friends do, Y/N. So help me, and get up.â
You donât listen to him, choosing to keep kneeling and watching your dead tribute instead. She looked peaceful, and you felt so guilty knowing there was nothing you could do to save her.
âY/N, I mean it.â Coriolanus says in a more assertive tone. âYouâre going to die out here. These tributes? They might as well be animals now, theyâre gonna kill the both of us if we donât get out.â
He grunts in annoyance when he doesnât see you move, so he carefully walks over, placing his arm under yours, practically dragging your body up from your kneeling position.
âCmon Y/N, youâve got to help me.â Coriolanus whispers out. âYou donât want to die here, trust me.â
âHEY! YOU!â The two of you whip your head so quickly at the voice that it sends a dizziness into your head. âHEY!â
The remaining tributes, none of them were Lucy Gray, Wovey, or the boy from 11 with speed so quick that it took the breath in your lungs away.
âCMON!â Coriolanus grabs your hand, the both of you fiercely running towards the doors.
One of the tributes with one of his eyes shut had a sharp blade in his hand, successfully slicing into Coriolanusâs back and your arm. The two of you let out a moan of pain, the frenzy feeling of adrenaline overwhelming the both of you.
Coriolanus lets your hand go for a second, pushing the tribute back harshly, managing to make him drop his weapon. Coriolanus picks up one of the broken poles, repeatedly hitting the male tribute with it until his body stopped moving completely.
You thought heâd be done with it, but he lets out a scream of anger, plunging the pole into the tributeâs body, making you shriek out in horror.
âYouâre okay, youâre okay!â Coriolanus breathes out to you, practically limping hand in hand with you as he sees the other tributes catching up from the distance. âOpen the door!â
The peacekeepers opened the door, closing it right as one of the more fiercer tribute sticks her trident out. âYouâre lucky youâve escaped this time.â She growls out.
You fall onto the ground as soon as Coriolanus lets go of your hand.
âHey,â he croaks out, kneeling to cup your face into his hands. âHey, youâre okay, youâre okay.â
He sounds so reassuring, so kind, and not like the Coriolanus you had despised from earlier.
âI..â you canât even get a word out before youâre full on sobbing, not caring if you were embarrassing yourself in front of Coriolanus and the two peacekeepers.
âShh, itâs okay.â He places his hand on the back of your head, bringing you into his chest. âEverythingâs gonna be okay. Iâll make sure of it.â
âNo one will ever hurt you, Y/N.â
And if thereâs one thing Coriolanus Snow is good atâitâs ensuring he gets what he wants.

omg i loved the loopy wisdom teeth one w peter đđ can i get that with hotch, and reader, who's usually more reserved starts flirting with him and stuff while she's loopy
ty!! and ty for ur request ⥠fem, 1.2k
"Most people have their wisdom teeth out in their teens," Aaron had said before you went in, a Spencer Reid tidbit if there ever were one.Â
"I'm a special case," you'd said, accepting his kiss on the cheek but denying his half hug. "See you in a bit."Â
People often lament that Aaron's ended up with a woman so much like himself. You must make each other miserable, one ill-advised chancellor had said, to your amusement.Â
We're desperately unhappy, you'd said back.Â
The opposite is true. You and Aaron, or Aaron alone, at the very least, is as happy as he's ever been. Work is hard but manageable, Jack is well-tempered, growing smarter and kinder each day, and you're his sweetheart. You're reserved, a little solemn, but you understand him better than anyone ever has. It's a relief like no other to be known so well.Â
And so he has zero qualms looking after you for the rest of your lives. He waits patiently for you to come out of surgery, arms behind his head in the empty waiting room. He's worried about you. This isn't a painless procedure.Â
Footsteps echo down the hallway, but you announce yourself anyways in the doorway. "Handsome!" you say, a lisp to your happy sing-song, "I'm back."Â
Aaron doesn't know what to say. He giggles like a kid at your sudden demeanour and sits up properly. "Honey."Â
You wobble with the nurse at your back, prompting him onto his feet to take over. "You should remove the gauze in about half an hour when the bleeding has completely stopped. Clean daily with saline, there are instructions in the bag," the nurse says, offering Aaron a white prescription bag. "Okay?"Â
"That's perfect. Thank you so much," he says, taking your hand.Â
"You're perfect," you say, looking up at Aaron with stars in your eyes.Â
The nurse laughs softly as she leaves. Aaron doesn't bother hiding his amusement, grinning at you as he puts his hand between your shoulders to guide you to the front of the building.Â
It's busier here. Reception is hectic. Aaron puts his arm more firmly around you to stop people from bumping into you and you again look at him with your starry eyed gaze. "You're very tall," you say.Â
"I am," he says. "Though you joke occasionally that I'm shrinking."Â
"The only thing getting smaller is your waist," you say, poking at his abdomen, "my champion."Â
You're referring to his recent third triathlon success. He's no record setter, but it keeps him active and happy in the summer months, and he can't pretend you don't appreciate the additional definition of his muscle during this time. You like him every month of the year, of course, but with his trim waist comes a certain amount of energy you also appreciate.Â
"Completely inappropriate behaviour," he says lightly, waving a short goodbye to the receptionists as he holds open the door for you to pass by. "Next you'll be enacting PDA."Â
"You'd like that, huh?"Â
Hard to take any notice of you with gauze fluffing your words, and again, he laughs at you. "I'd love that."Â
"Well, wait, I'll do it right hereâ"Â
Aaron catches your hands mildly. "In the car first. Kiss after." Your downtrodden expression requires urgent care. "What, that's not okay? You're upset?"Â
"No," you lie obviously, glaring down at your feet as you wobble forward.Â
"Maybe we can wait until later, then."Â
"What?" You gawp. "You just said in the car."Â
"I'm teasing you," he says, taking your elbow. "We've been known to do that with one another on occasion. You know I'd happily kiss you anywhere you wanted to be kissed, honey, now watch your step on this curb. Watch your step. Good job."Â
You're extremely pleased by his praise, leaning into his arm with your head tipped back. "You're so handsome. Can you kiss me now?" You soften your eyes.Â
Alright, you have a little bit of bloody dribble on your bottom lip, and yes, there's this dazed look about you like you've had a mean shock, but you never look at him like this day to day. Perhaps in your more intimate moments, your arms around him when the lights are low, or early, early in the morning when you haven't yet remembered your more timid temperament. But it's so rare. It catches him off guard, how pretty and wanting you look.Â
Aaron leans down for a careful kiss, the barest of pressure.Â
"And a good kisser," you murmur, turning into his chest for a hug. "I love you, I want you to carry me to the car."Â
"Sweetheart, I don't think I can," he says. He's mostly kidding in the depth of his apology, but there are real threads of remorse in his voice, hot as a flame. "Come on. We'll go home, okay?"Â
"But you always do everything for me. Everything I ask for." You talk into his chest, likely leaving pink spit on the grey of his quarter zip. He couldn't care less, his arm around you, looking down with equal measures of fondness and surprise. "I had to stop saying I liked things because you kept buying me stuff. I love stuff."Â
"Then why did you stop?" he asks quietly.Â
"'Cos I know I don't deserve it. Don't deserve you, Aaron, you're the best man I've ever met. Can't believe it."
He savours your mumbling, and begins to walk forward slowly, encouraging you out of his chest as he formulates an answer for your confession with the same gravity. "You can't believe it?"Â
"You're a tall glass of water."Â
He actually sighs aloud. My girl, he thinks, rubbing your lax shoulder. "Alright. What if I thought the same of you? What then?"Â
You giggle infectiously, a stickying sound like you know he's trying to trip you up. "Nice," you say. "We should always be like this."Â
When he brings it up later, the extreme effects of your anaesthesia dissipated and your pain revamped, you can't think of anything worse. "I'm mortified," you whisper, your ice pack chilling the top of his arm where you've wedged it, your hand tucked between his thighs in an attempt to stay warm.Â
"I quite liked it."Â
"You would. You used to flirt with me so aggressivelyâ"Â
"Aggressively," he repeats, grinning.Â
"âyou're lucky I survived it." You sniffle, rubbing your nose into his sleeve. "Was I as intimidating as you are?"Â
He presses his lips to the top of your head, not kissing, just there. "No," he says into your skin, "you weren't intimidating at all. Just lovely. It made my day."Â
"I'll have to have my teeth taken out more often."Â
He snorts. "If you'd rather have more teeth pulled than flirt with me unaided, things are worse than I thought."Â
"Don't be like that..." Much quieter, "Will you rub my back again, please?"
Just like that, he's reminded of how much he likes your regular reserved attitude. "Sure, honey. Lean forward."

â meant to be
pairing: percy jackson x fem!gf!reader, dark!luke castellan x fem!reader
summary: as if it wasnât enough for percy to be claimed much quicker than himself, he just had to be with lukeâs dream girl. or the one where luke canât seem to take his eyes off of percyâs girlfriend.
warnings: obsession, jealousy, pining, unrequited love, age gap (14/16 to bring it closer together so aged up percy n you) manipulation
wordcount: 850 words
a/n: heheh in the mood to drive luke to hate percy for having the girl heâs always wanted even though percy had her first - 5/01/24 itâs been brought to my attention the ages might be seen as odd, itâs meant to say youâre 14 and luke is 16 to make it more comfortable.
he didnât deserve you at all, he wasnât worthy.
luke could treat you better than a child. when youâd first arrived he couldnât believe the fact that percy himself was your boyfriend. you were too gorgeous to be with such a clueless idiot.
so he tried his best to at least be your friend in the start.
always accompanying you from your cabin, to breakfast, somehow always ending up at the front of the line with as much food you could wish for. always enthralling you with tales of the time before you arrived. letting you know about the camp, the people, who to watch out for and who to be friends with.
as if heâd let you be with anyone else besides him.
during training he was always more than happy to help you, to teach you, to be close to you. fixing your posture, positioning you properly. he could imagine himself and you, his girlfriend, protecting and helping her. but his bubble was always burst when percy would make his way to you with a smile, talking about what heâd just learnt and the people heâd just met.
in the two days youâd been there you felt yourself trusting luke.
your sweet smile made everything better in his day, but he despised it when it wasnât directed towards him. percyâs arm around your waist, your head on his shoulder, percy tying your hair up for you, your hands wiping the dust off of him when he fell.
luke wouldnât have fallen, luke wasnât that stupid.
luke could hold his own, whilst percy seemed to stumble his way through everything.
he had to hold himself back from strangling percy when walking with him. he was only aiding percy in finding his âspecial skillâ because youâd asked him to. and all luke learned from the experience was that percy was an imbelice. he couldnât do anything right.
what on earth did you see in him?
you couldnât sleep, thinking of your quest tomorrow. usually they were taken on by three but percy insisted on anabeth, grover and you. which you were glad for, grover was your friend as well as anabeth, youâd just hoped that all four of you will make it back.
the water was calm, you wondered if it was because of percy being sound asleep. did percy control the waters around him?
your silly questions ran through your head ever since your boyfriend had been claimed. yourself and percy were having the time of your life together, on a journey together. that night the two of you had sat right here, worries running around, the two of you reassuring eachother with promises of safety and return.
his sweet smile, his pretty curls, you loved him with your whole heart, even if you were young.
ây/n?â luke called out to you as you waved, âluke! come to say goodbye?â you teased as he laughed, âsadly yes, how are you feeling?â the night enveloped the two of you in darkness, eachothers presence comforting the other. âas fine as a girl about to go on a literal quest out of a damn movie would be.â
his arm came around you, pulling you into him, âwhatâre you doing?â you questioned luke, unsure of the close proximity. âitâs fine, calm down.â he pushed your head down into his shoulder, mimicking your earlier actions with percy, minus the love.
you lifted your head quickly, trying to stand up but luke dragged you back down, âget off! let me go luke, i want to go sleep.â his grip was harsh on your wrist, âstop shouting, do you want to make a fuss about the whole camp?â that shut you up quickly, you werenât exactly in the mood to start up a scene in the middle of the night.
âwhy donât you let me go then?â you whispered to him. âwhy are you going on the quest?â he asked, his eyes were darkened with anger, his tone unwelcoming, a clear juxtaposition to lukeâs previous warm embrace of yourself and percy.
âpercy wants me to, and i want to. thatâs all anyone seems to wait for around here, glory.â he let go of your wrist, speaking with a soft voice, the entire change of his demeanour was off-puting. âshouldnât you be enough? why does he want annabeth to come along?â you cocked your head to the side confused, âyou of all people know how amazing she is, anabeth is the biggest asset to have and an incredible fighter luke.â he loved when you said his name but the sadness in your voice was evident and irritating, almost as much as your boyfriend.
âpercy should trust you, believe in you to help him.â and the seed of doubt was in place successfully.
âi donât know okay! but itâs not like i can stop it, goodnight luke.â you didnât want to give him a chance to stop you, so you jogged back to your cabin, unsettled and confused.
luke slept nicely that night.
luke would make sure you saw him, all of him.
and how much better he was then percy, you were meant to be.

Arranged marriage with Gyomei pls. Kagaya matched Gyomei with Y/N ââfor some reason and Gyomei slowly falling in love with y/n đ„Čđ„Čâ€
âż i love you, and i want to find out what that means together.
#STARRING: himejima gyomei ft. fem!reader
#TAGS: arranged marriage. gyomei is in his early twenties in this one! set before the main events of kny. some invented lore for the sake of the story please just bear it thanks
#NOTES: hello there! thank you for your request <3 tbh I've always had this specific idea stuck in my head and you just gave me a reason to write for it LMAO i actually went kind of crazy with this fic omg i loved to write it let me know if u would like a part two! hope you like it and hope it wasn't too much LMAOOo
your existence could be hashed over with one word.
purpose.
ever since you could remember, your entire life had been mapped out for you: what to eat, what to not eat, what to like, what to dislike, what to wear, your hobbies, your pastimes, your vocabularyâeverything. apparently, every inane thing that had been shoved down your throat was only done to make you a dignified woman worthy of whichever lord they married you off to.
you and your family hailed from a long line of priests and priestesses, where the girls were raised to be proper wives and shrine maidens and the boys were carefully taught the profession in hopes of serving important figures throughout japan.
you were helping your mother tend to the flowers one day when a messenger from the ubuyashiki clanâa kakushi, as you heard they were calledâappeared before your temple's door, asking your father to choose and provide the clan with one of his daughters.
you were picked immediately, and you had no choice but to stand before your father, trembling, and pretend that you agreed with his decision with a serene expression on your face. you could tell this was just his way of finally getting rid of you.
in the words of your father behind closed doors, if someone couldn't be bothered to have the decency to visit the temple in person and instead sent a mere messenger to request a carefully trained shrine maiden, it was clear they didn't deserve the best of what he could offer.
you smiled, agreeing with him.
when you went to pack what little things you had, nobody was in the shared quarters; at least you would spare yourself of your sisters' cruel remarks over your father's decision. you did not have many things of your own; you packed your hairbrush, a book, and what few things you held dear.
the kakushi was waiting outside when you emerged. trying to maintain a semblance of calm, you offered him a small smile. he looked at you with curiosity but did not say anything. kindly, he allowed you a moment for a brief prayer before the buddha statue at the front of the temple. then, you were off.
no one came to say goodbye to you.
it was alright, you supposed. the only person you could think fondly of was your mother, and a barbed wire of melancholy slowly wound around your heart at the thought of not being able to part ways properly. you knew that she preferred you over her other daughters, but even so, you were aware that she would never hear the end of it from your father if she came to say her farewells. you would write to her.
you were the third of six sisters, and always, one of them was more talented than you were, just a tad bit more attractive, just a tad bit more creative, just a tad bit more charming. sure, you were well-versed in the duties of a useful spouseâokay, all your sisters were as well. what good was that when you had nothing special about you? what was it your father called you? ah, yes, mediocre.
the kakushi did not speak to you for the entire trip, for which reason you did not know. a question hung on the tip of your tongue, although you dared not ask it. at some point, he urged you to wear a blindfold and climb on his back, which you simply accepted, knowing better than to ask.
you didn't make anything out during the journey, only listening to the sound of small pebbles vibrating against the ground as he made his way up a mountain. after what felt like hours, he finally put you down, gently tugging the blindfold off you and allowing your eyes to adjust to the bright light of morning.
once you were presentable, he escorted you toward the estate entrance. you could tell he was a bit off put by the way you were just accepting things, but he didn't say anything about it.
the kakushi stopped before the towering gate of the ubuyashiki mansion and offered you a deep bow. you thanked him, and you could see him smile with his eyes before he left. another kakushi, a woman this time, escorted you toward a graveled garden, a small figure sitting by the engawa.
she knelt on the ground and bowed her head, and you did the same until she picked herself from the ground.
looking forward, you met the gaze of a boy who looked to be around the age of fifteen, with kohl black hair that sat just above his shoulders. he had the most beautiful eyes you had ever seen, so easy to look at, lavender tainting the irises. he had the calming smile of a buddha, and although knowing nothing about him beyond reputation, you felt at ease with him.
"i am kagaya. i trust your journey went smoothly? thank you for your patience, maiden. i apologize for not going to your temple in person, i hope your priest will forgive me. believe me, i wanted to, but i'm afraid my illness would not have allowed me to make the trip."
the boy's voice was unlike any other you had ever heard, fluid and gentle, causing a wave of reassurance to wash over you. you felt at ease immediately, as though something had just taken every burden off your shoulders and instead shrouded you in a cloud of repose.
"it was no trouble, oyakata-sama, truly." you followed this with a deep incline of your head, your own voice remaining serene and mellow, "it is an honor to be in your presence."
kagaya smiled. "your temple is of great renown. my clan has had the pleasure of counting with your priests and maidens across the centuries. there is no need for such formalities, child."
granted, you were sure you were older than him by a few years, but the way he called you 'child' was comforting, and you were not about to question him, simply keeping quiet.
"you are to marry one of my pillars, maiden. he is an honorable man, the lord of stone, i am sure the two of you will get along. he should arrive any moment now."
you willed yourself to say something, yet you simply could not. you were not the first maiden who was given to a lord for marriage, and you certainly wouldn't be the last. still, your heart did a flip at the simple notion of ending up in a similar situation as your mother, forced to produce offspring until your husband found you undesirable.
for a moment, a cold hand wrapped around your heart in fear of what that man would do with you. however, the single thought of the young boy before you lying about the pillar's honor revolted you. he was telling the truth, and if he said the stone pillar was a good man, then you had nothing to fear.
softly, the sound of footsteps reached your ears, and you turned slightly to see a towering figure approaching, his presence both imposing and serene all at once.
the man who stood before you was unlike any you had ever seen. large beyond comparison, clad in the dark robes of a uniform and a green haori. his stature was immense, with muscles that seemed chiseled from stone. he was young, with an impassive face, yet undeniably handsome. his eyes, clouded with a milky whiteness, told you that he could not see, yet he moved with a grace that belied his blindness.
"this is himejima gyomei, the stone pillar," kagaya introduced, "he has been chosen as your betrothed, and i trust that you will find solace and strength in his presence."
gyomei walked toward you, his movements slow and deliberate, his footsteps echoing throughout the gardenâ
your breath hitched as he knelt before you, reaching his hand out. but instead of what you expected, he pressed his palm against your cheek, his voice reverberating like a chiming bell inside a cathedral. he caressed your cheek as one would treat an injured butterfly.
"maiden beloved," he murmured, tears spilling from his eyes, "i apologize for making you wait."
the ceremony was that same day, quick and endearing.
you were married in front of oyakata-sama, his wife, and other members of the corps as witnesses. before you knew it, the wedding concluded, and your husband guided you to your new home with you by his side.
gyomei was not acting like he had been given you as some justly won right to do with as he pleased. that set your heart at ease, greatly so, and in some way, it was like he could tell, too. he was walking slowly, allowing you to keep up with his large strides. small talk filled the empty silence of the way home as he listed all the things you would assist him with.
you were to cook for him, clean the estate daily and take care of it when he was away, write letters for him and read them when he received any, and...
huh. that was it.
getting used to your routine was easier than anticipated as weeks passed, although you would be lying to yourself if you said that gyomei's patience and demeanor weren't helping you in the slightest.
he had insisted that you sleep in a separate bedroom within the estate, taking into account that despite being your husband, he was still a complete stranger to you. the very moment you reached your new home, he made sure to explicitly tell you that he did not wish to embarrass you or cause you discomfort in any way, shape, or form.
during mornings, you would naturally wake up at the crack of dawn, your training making things much easier. you would dress yourself in the robes gyomei had gifted you for your wedding and make your way to the kitchen to start a big meal for the day. you'd wake him up then, guiding him to the kitchen to share breakfast together.
most of the time, you ate in silence, although you did not mind at all. after that, you would wash dishes, and he trained. the estate was not that big, so having to sweep the floor or dust the shelves daily did not bother you, and you instead found comfort in the repetitive routine. you would finish quite swiftly and urge gyomei inside again for tea time during noon.
you tried to entertain yourself as best as possible during the afternoons and evenings. usually, you would find yourself tending to a small garden you'd created when you arrived. your husband would sometimes join you, captivated by the sweet smell of the flowers and the sensation of the earth beneath his fingertips. you would explain what the flowers looked like and how they were meant to be taken care of, and he, in turn, basked in your every word.
gardening duty was one of the things you enjoyed most back at the temple, and since no one else was willing to get their hands dirty, you were the maiden who would regularly take care of the flowers.
you bought flower seeds during your first trip to the market in the nearby town and took the time to introduce yourself to as many people as possible. the locals were very kind to you, and as you started frequenting the shops more and more, you were always being greeted by folks who wished you and your husband the best.
as months passed, your relationship with gyomei deepened in ways you had never expected. the initial tension and clumsiness of living with a stranger began to fade, replaced by a growing sense of familiarity and comfort.
gyomei, true to his word, respected your boundaries and gave you space to adjust at your own pace. however, small gestures of care and affection started to seep into your daily life. he would often leave freshly picked flowers from your garden by your bedroom door, their vibrant colors and sweet fragrance greeting you first thing in the morning. sometimes, he would assist you with household chores, his presence making the mundane tasks feel lighter and more enjoyable.
he began to pay attention to the little things, like how you offered wounded slayers who stumbled upon the estate a fresh meal and a place to redress their wounds, or how you fed the cats mingling around your shared home every single night, even noticing that you had taken the time to name them and remember everyone.
the town's people, too, played a part in your growing closeness. they would often remark on how harmonious you and gyomei seemed together, their kind words fortifying the bind that tied you together. you started to see the way gyomei interacted with them and how much respect the people had for himâand you couldn't help but admire him more each day.
your conversations, though initially skimpy and shallow, began to flow more naturally. gyomei's deep voice would rumble through stories of his past with the children of the orphanage, his experiences as a hashira, and the lessons he had learned along the way. you, in turn, shared snippets of your life at the temple, your family, your dreams, and your fears. it was through these conversations that you realized how much you had in common despite your different backgrounds.
anyone with a pair of working eyes would see it, or, at least, anyone who had known for at least once in their lifetime what a soul-stirring connection with another human felt like. you found comfort in his presence, seeking him out like a moth to a flame, and he, in yours, only wanted you to tend to his wounds after missions, fix his haori, or wait by himself outside just so he could pray by your side.
eventually, it got to a point where the separate bedrooms became less of a necessity and more of a formality. you often found yourself falling asleep together in the living room after long conversations or shared moments of silence. whenever you did manage to part ways, you always lingered by your door, a dreamy smile encasing your lips.
you could not deny yourself anymore. you were the happiest you had been in years.
one evening, as you both sat for dinner, the familiar quiet enveloping you like a warm blanket, gyomei's voice broke through the tranquility.
"i love you."
the bunch of food you were going to bring into your mouth splattered into the bowl again with a messy splash. oh. oh my god. you whipped your head toward your husband, who stared at you with a soft expression on his face.
"you do not have to say it back if you do not feel the same, but i wanted you to know." then, gyomei went back to chewing his food as if he had not said what he had just said.
"why?"
gyomei shifted his head in your direction with a worried expression, your teary tone and doddering heartbeat doing nothing to mitigate his apprehension. he tried to reach for you, but you jerked away from him. he could tell that whatever you were feeling was not directed toward him, but still, it pained him greatly to know you were suffering.
"g-gyomei, iâ"
your hands were shaking, and he reached for them to trace your skin with the pads of his thumbs. he opened his mouth, but you beat him to it as you keeled over, shoulders trembling as sobs left your mouth, your usual calmness thrown out the window.
"y-you said that you wouldn't embarrass me! there is nothing special about me. what is it about me that you could possibly love? you're always so good to me," you were throwing word vomit at this point, and the worst part was you did not even know where it was coming from, "i haven't done anything to receive your affection! i'm just doing the things i'm supposed to do..."
tears slid down his cheeks before he could stop them, and he leaned forward to pull you into his embrace. your body completely froze, an unknown emotion taking over. gyomei had never initiated contact before. most of the time, you had to be the one to grab his hand or tug his collar.
"my little maiden... you have no idea how precious you are to me," gyomei murmured, his voice impossibly gentle and firm. he held you close, his large, comforting presence grounding you as your sobs began to subside. "you see yourself through the harsh lens of your own eyes, but i see the truth of your heart with my own. your unconditional kindness, your strength, your sincerityâthese are just some of the reasons i love you."
his words seeped into your cold heart, slowly quieting the tempest inside. you couldn't understand how someone as incredible, kind, and powerful as gyomei could see such worth in you, but the sincerity in his voice and the warmth of his embrace made you want to believe him.
"you don't have to prove your worth to me or anyone," he continued, his voice alleviating your wounded spirit. "you are enough, just as you are. your presence in my life is a blessing, and i am grateful for you every single day."
"gyomei," you whispered, your voice trembling but no longer with fear. "i⊠i love you too. i was just scared. scared that i wasn't enough for you."
he smiled softly, wiping away your tears with his thumbs. "you are more than enough, my love. and i will spend the rest of all my lifetimes showing you just how much you mean to me."

masterlist - playlist
fem!y/n x lando norris
warnings: smut with a plot. minors dni! probably grammar or spelling errors due to english not being my first language.
requested: yes, based on this request: something with a driver sister thatâs still a virgin & lando (her bestfriend) suggests to teach her things
a/n: this is a rewritten story, you can find the explanation on my profile
part one / part two / part three
âLan,â you shyly start your sentence, âwhen erm, when are we going to have sex?â You continue your question. You feel your cheeks reddening while asking your friend that question. Lando almost drops his phone when he hears your question. He sends you a confused look.Â
âWhatâs with the hurry?â He asks you with the same confused tone in his voice.Â
You let out a nervous laugh. âThis is going to sound really stupid,â you confess, âbut thereâs this guy who asked me on a date.âÂ
âSo?â Lando asks. He already feels his jealousy coming up. Someone asked you on a date? He wonders who asked you and if you said yes to the guy. Maybe Max was right and he should just ask you on a date himself. Maybe that would stop this mess.
âI kinda want to say yes,â you tell Lando nervously, âbut I want to wait for when Iâm not a virgin anymore.â Lando shoots you another confused look, he doesnât get why that would help with the date. âI uh, think itâs better for my confidence,â you explain. You donât mention that you want to make sure that Lando is the one who takes your virginity.Â
Lando stays silent for a couple minutes. He thinks about how he can handle this properly. His first choice would be to let you stall the date for like forever, but he knows that will only bite him in the ass. âHow long can you stall him?â Lando asks you eventually. When you keep your silence to think, Lando adds a few more words. âI donât think itâs smart to rush this,â he explains himself.
âI already told him that Iâd be away for three weeks,â you reply, âso at least that time. And maybe I can add another week when weâre back, blaming it on a jet lag or something.â
Lando feels a bit more relieved. Three or four weeks. A lot can change in that time, right? Maybe he will finally find the confidence to tell you about his feelings for you. Maybe not. Probably not, now that he thinks of it. He has this feelings for you since forever and all those years werenât enough for him to gain the confidence to tell you⊠He lets out a soft sigh, he needs to think of a plan.Â
âThatâll work I guess,â Lando says eventually.
âSo whatâs next?â You ask Lando, âI feel like thereâs so much you still have to teach me.â
âRelax babygirl,â Lando says, âI think we first need to focus on how Iâm going to pack my suitcase with stuff for three weeks in only an hour.âÂ
âYou didnât pack yet?â You ask Lando, âWeâre leaving in an hour!â
âOops?â Lando laughs.Â
You let out a sigh. It doesnât even surprise you that Lando didnât pack yet. âYou never change,â you tell Lando with a small smile on your face. Then you stand up to help Lando pack his stuff, just like you always do. It doesnât take the two of you that long to pack all his stuff. Like always, you secretly put some shirts and short pants into Lando his luggage. Heâs always to stubborn to pack anything else then hoodies, and that without checking the weather. Something you did for sure when you packed your own stuff, so you know for sure that he can use some clothes thatâs more suitable for the hot weather.Â
âThanks babygirl,â Lando says after closing the last zipper from his suitcase. He moves closer to you and presses a soft kiss against your forehead. You donât know what has gotten into you, but you are quick to press your lips against Lando his lips. Without giving it a second thought, you kiss Lando. You feel him smiling through the kiss. He pulls you closely to himself and wraps his arms around your body.
The kiss was meant innocent and short, but Lando is quick to turn it into something more. His hands are roaming over your body. It doesnât take him long before finding your ass and giving it a couple squeezes. You let out a soft moan. You feel it vibrate against Lando his lips.Â
Lando his ringtone distracts the both of you from what youâre doing. You watch how he picks his phone up and say a simple okay after a few seconds of listening. âThe cab is here,â he informs you, you reply with a small nod. Lando grabs his luggage and as much of yours as he can manage. Leaving you to only hold two small bags with your own stuff.Â
âYou know, youâre a great kisser,â Lando says while walking towards the cab.
âI learned from the best,â you joke with an innocent smile.
Lando lets out a soft laugh. âImagine how great you will be with everything else with such a good teacher,â he continues to joke.
âWeâll see.â
+++
Lando sighs when he takes place in his drivers room. You donât know what to say to him. He just lost a great qualifying lap due to track limits. If he didnât lose the lap, he would have started second tomorrow. You are pretty sure that Lando is really mad at himself right now. He always is. Whenever something doesnât go perfect, heâs blaming himself for it. Right now Lando is softly muttering to himself. You canât hear exactly what heâs saying, but you guess itâs something in the line of him calling himself an idiot and a bad driver. It makes you feel hurt. You have been here for a lot of his highs and lows since he has his seat with McLaren. You have seen him upset with himself many times before, but it never hurts less.Â
âLan,â you softly say, hoping for a response. He doesnât even look at you while responding. âDonât say itâs not my fault,â Lando states, âIâm the one who get track limits. Iâm the one to blame. Iâm the one who fucked up.â
You think about what to say, but you know that a lot of you guesses arenât the right one. You can say so many things to Lando about he will do better tomorrow and that heâs still starting in the top ten, but itâs not what he wants to hear right now. Eventually you decide to throw it on a whole other subject.
âMaybe I can cheer you up?â You suggests.
Lando looks up and stares at you. âCheer me up?â He asks confused.Â
âDistract you a bit,â you continue shyly.Â
âWhat do you mean babygirl?â Lando asks you even more confused.
âWhat about another lesson?â You ask Lando, âYou could teach me how to give you a blowjob.â
âYou donât have to,â Lando quickly says, âI didnât even went down on you yet.â
âI want to,â you reply to him, âand I think it will do a great job with cheering you up.âÂ
âSure?â Lando asks a bit confused. You nod. âWords babygirl,â Lando reminds you about his need for you to say everything out loud. âYes Lando,â you say, âI want to give you a blowjob.â Lando his facial expressions are quick to brighten up. Heâs already smiling while thinking about your lips around his dick. It even causes his dick to get hard already.Â
âBut, you need to tell me what to do,â you tell Lando a bit nervous. He nods eagerly. Then he grabs one of your hands and brings it to his boner. You donât wait for another instruction and start to palm his boner through his race suit. Lando stays silent for a while, enjoying your slow movements in peace. When you apply a bit more pressure, the first soft moan leaves his lips. In the mean time you press a kiss against Lando his cheek.Â
After a few minutes of moving slowly with your hand on his bulge, you try to grab his dick through his race suit. Lando groans when he feels your hand on his dick. He wants nothing more then to feel your skin on his own. He needs to lose the suit. Without thinking about it Lando pulls down the zipper of his race suit. While he unzips his suit, you take a good look at him. Itâs almost unfair how good Lando is looking. Since when does his fireproof so much to you?
âCan I take it off?â Lando asks you.Â
âYes please,â you are eager to answer.Â
You move your hands away from him, giving him the space to pull of his race suit. Lando grins because of your reaction. He kicks off his shoes and then removes his suit from his body. It feels so strange to see Lando standing in front of you in only his underwear, but then you remember that heâll lose those in a few seconds too.Â
Before Lando can pull of his briefs, you move your lips against his bare chest. Softly you press multiple kisses against his chest. Slowly you move down towards his boxers. In the mean time you still have his boner in your hands. You stroke him softly. When you reach the edge with your mouth, you stop with stroking. Slowly you pull down Lando his boxers. His hard member is quick to pop out of his briefs. Lando finishes your action and takes his boxers off.Â
You take your time to look at his dick. Itâs the first you see in real life. Of course you have seen some porn movies before, so you have a clear image from how a dick can look. But in a weird way, Lando his member seems more appealing to you. His member is pretty, if you can say it like that. You never thought youâd find a dick pretty. Lando looks at you while you stare at his member. You notice the thick vein thatâs laying on his dick. Now that you think about it, his whole boner seems to be at the thick side. Maybe itâs not as long as in the porn movies, but you already guesses that was a bit over the top. You wonder how Lando his thick member will fit inside your mouth and one day inside your vagina.Â
âIf youâre not sure, you donât have to do this,â Lando tells you softly.
âNo,â you quickly reply. âI want to do this, but you need to tell me what to do.â
Lando grins happily. Heâs glad you still want to continue with this. He wasnât sure if a cold shower would have helped this time. In the mean time you move your hands back to Lando his dick. Lando feels himself hardening under your touch. Has he ever been this hard? You slowly explore his member with your hand. At first you trace the vein laying on top of it with one of your fingers. Then you softly touch his tip. You wait for Lando to say something.
âLick it a bit,â Lando instructs you. You notice the change of his voice tone. âMake it wet,â he adds. He almost sounds strict. It gives you weird butterflies.Â
You take his words into action. Without giving it a second thought, you move your head closer to his member. Carefully you let your tongue come in contact with him. Slowly you lick around his member. Lando lets out a soft moan. You continue your movements. You let your tongue slide over his dick. Exploring the way it feels on your tongue.Â
âPut it into your mouth babygirl,â Lando continues to instruct you. He needs to make sure that his dick has been inside your mouth before he cums. All the teasing youâre doing - without even knowing it, is already making him close to getting his orgasm.Â
Again you do what Lando says. Carefully you take the top of his dick inside your mouth. Your mouth is quick to feel fulled up. You try to go as deep as you can, but youâre quick to feel some tears popping up in the corners of your eyes.
âSlowly baby,â Lando quickly says when he notices the tears as well, âyou donât have to take everything inside. The top is the most sensitive part.â
You pull back for a bit. Letting his member out of your mouth. Before taking it back inside, you take a deep breath. You try to remember Lando his words. You make sure that the top of his boner is inside your mouth. It feels like you have room for a bit more, so carefully you take him a bit deeper into your mouth. You remind yourself to take your time. Lando his hands has found their way into your hair. Softly he plays with your hair. You lick a bit around his tip with your tongue. Lando rewards you with a moan. It makes you feel good, giddy even, when he reacts like that.Â
âMove your head up and down,â Lando instructs you, âTry to make the same stroking movement as before, but now with you mouth.â
Again you take Lando his words into action. Slowly you move your head up and down. You let your mouth slide over his dick a couple times. Lando lets out another moan. You feel proud to be the reason behind those moans. You suck a bit harder onto his dick. Without giving it a second thought, you use your hand to hold the part that doesnât fit into your mouth. You start to stroke it, alining the movements with the bobbing you do with your mouth.Â
âFuck babygirl,â Lando groans, âYouâre really good at this.â
His words make you feel even better. It causes you to fasten your movements. You try to lick his tip as well in the mean time. Lando is quick to become a moaning mess underneath your touch. You feel the way his dick is pulsing inside your mouth.Â
âIf you donât want to taste, you should finish it with your hands,â Lando says after a while. You donât act on his words. Simply you keep continuing your earlier movements.Â
Lando canât stop looking at you while feeling this close to his orgasm. He is still holding your hair in his hands, softly he tugs onto it for a bit. The way you stare at his dick while youâre making him feel like this, turns him on even more. There have been enough girls who have given him a blowjob, but none of them felt like this. He canât understand how it is possible that youâre so good at everything already. How can it be that someone with no sexual experience is so much better then everyone else? Itâs insane.Â
âLast warning baby,â Lando warns you with a soft voice. You still donât remove your mouth from his dick. If he didnât said anything, you still could have guessed that heâs close to his orgasm. His moans are giving it away. They are becoming more messier and louder with the second. You try to take his dick even further into your mouth. Before you know it, you notice a salty taste inside your mouth. Youâre quick to connect the dots and realize what just happened. Lando just came undone.
You decrease your pace, but still keep sucking him off. There are a couple more drops of Lando his cum that are finding their way inside of your mouth. When you think heâs completely empty, you remove your mouth from him. While looking at Lando you swallow his cum.Â
âFuck,â Lando groans, âI could cum again by looking at you doing that.â
You show Lando a small innocent smile. He pulls you onto himself. âDonât look that innocent baby, not after what you just did,â he tells you. You canât react to him. He is presses a soft kiss against your cheek before doing the same against your lips.Â
âIf I told you that this was the best blowjob of my life, would you believe me?â Lando asks you after a bit of a comfortable silence.
âNo,â you reply while shaking your head.
âYou just did babygirl,â Lando confesses, âI have never experienced a blowjob this good.â
You let out a soft chuckle. âMaybe that says something about the other blowjobs you have gotten,â you say.
âNo,â Lando quickly states, âIt says everything about you. Youâre incredibly good at this baby. And you did find an excellent way to distract me from stupid qualifying lap.â
You laugh. âIâll remember that for the next time,â you say jokingly. Lando laughs and nods eagerly. âBut donât beat yourself up because of it Lan. Everyone can make mistakes. Iâm sure youâll be fighting for great points tomorrow, I even dare to say that youâll end up on the podium,â you tell Lando.
âIf I get a podium, Iâm celebrating with eating you out,â Lando states confidently.
âThatâs not a celebration,â you laugh.Â
âIt is for me.â
Fuck, why is you stomach tightening because of Lando his words? This really canât be good.
+++
Later that evening Lando and you are sitting in a small restaurant together. Heâs sitting next to you, together youâre pressed up closely on a small couch. Oscar and Lily are sitting in front of you. Lando is getting more annoying with the second, he has hunger and absolutely no patience for his food to come. He already toyed with everything on the table and now itâs your turn apparently.Â
Lando his hand finds your upper thigh. You almost jump up. He toys with the short skirt youâre wearing. When you feel his hand getting closer to your private parts, you stop him with you own hand. What is he doing? Lando is quick to find his way back to your thigh and squeezes it softly. You canât help yourself and let out a soft whimper.Â
âYou okay Y/N?â Lily asks you.Â
You send Lando an angry look before answering Oscars girlfriend. âYeah, just hungry,â you tell her jokingly. Itâs enough for Lando to give you a bit more space. He moves himself a bit more away from you. When you feel his hand leave your upper leg, youâre quick to take action. Within milliseconds you have his hand in your own and guide it back towards your thigh. With one stern look you hope he will behave himself.Â
Before Lando can do anything stupid, the food is already arriving to your table. Quietly everyone takes their time to eat. Lando - who had a lot of hunger before, is the first one to finish. Meaning he is keeping up the conversations with Oscar, but also has his hands free again. While he talks to Oscar he lets his hand find itâs way back to your leg.Â
At first you donât give it any attention. But when you feel Lando his hand getting under your skirt and his fingers grace against your clothed pussy, you canât help yourself anymore. You almost choke in a piece of your meal. Loudly you cough. Lando plays the worried friend and hands you your drink, while his other hand is still coming closer towards your private parts then before. You cough another few times, before standing up and announcing that youâre going to the bathroom.Â
âYouâre quite touchy,â Oscar mentions when you walk away. Lando gives his teammate and friend a confused look. It canât be that Oscar noticed what he did, right? âYouâre never this close to Y/N,â Oscar continues, âAre you two finally dating?âÂ
Lando laughs. Why does everyone think the two of you are dating? He wish it was like that. To answer Oscar he shakes his head and tells him no, âStill friends.â
âSure about that?â Oscar asks his friend. Lando notices the way Lily is also looking at him with raised eyebrows.Â
âI think I would notice it if I were dating with her, donât you think?â Lando jokes a bit. He feels his phone vibrating in his pocket and decides to look at it. Heâs quick to notice a message coming from you.Â
Y/N: i hate you
Lando: you hate me?
Y/N: you made me horny
Lando doesnât even notice that Oscar is talking to him, until Oscar says his name a couple times. âThen you must have gotten text messages from someone youâre dating with,â Oscar sighs. Lando sends him a confused look, âNo, itâs Y/N,â he says even confused. Then he realizes that it probably wasnât smart to say that youâre texting him. âShe isnât feeling well,â he quickly adds.
Lando: come back here, I told them youâre not feeling well
Lando: we can go back to the hotel right away
Lando: and then I might help you with your problem ;)
Y/N: you better help me with the problem you caused.
Lando smiles at his phone again.Â
Not even twenty minutes later Lando and you are back at the hotel room you share together. Lando is pressed up against you. Something that happens quite a lot lately. His hands have found their way back to your thigh. You canât stop yourself from letting out a soft whimper.Â
âYouâre the worst,â you softly say the Lando.
âThe worst?â He asks you, âI think Iâm the one who makes you feel the best youâve ever done.âÂ
You canât argue with that logic from him. Lando his hand is coming closer to where you want him the most right now. Teasingly he drags his finger over your panties a couple time. When you almost make another remark about him teasing you, Lando pulls your string aside.Â
âI want to taste you,â Lando groans. He feels the wetness that he caused earlier. When he looks at you, heâs surprised to see you shake your head. Are you telling him no? âNo?â He asks a bit confused.Â
âFirst a podium,â you tell Lando teasingly.Â
He lets out a grunt.Â
âYou wanted to celebrate like that,â you remind Lando, âso earn it tomorrow with a podium.â
Lando canât help it and lets out a soft whine. âYouâre the worst,â he repeats your earlier words to you. You donât reply verbally, you just show Lando a innocent smile. It surprises you when Lando lets his finger enter you. You almost expected that he wasnât going to continue as payback. His sudden movement cause you to let out a moan.Â
When he uses his finger to draw circles on your clit, it doesnât take you long to come close to your orgasm. âIâm close,â you tell Lando.
âHow close?â He asks you.Â
âReally close,â you confess.
âAsk for my permission,â Lando instructs you, âI wonât let you cum without it.â
You donât even think about his words. Before you realize it, pleas are coming from your lips. Begging Lando to make you cum. âPlease Lan,â you beg. Lando has a smug smile plastered on his face. Heâs enjoying this way too much. He feels you whimpering underneath his touch. âPlease,â you beg him again, âMake me cum.âÂ
âCum babygirl,â he tells you eventually. He increases his pace and adds another finger into your pussy. It causes you to release everything within seconds. With a trail of moans you come undone. Lando removes his fingers and pulls you closer. He puts his fingers inside his mouth to suck them clean.Â
âNow I really have to get a podium tomorrow,â he tells you a bit jokingly. You send him a confused look, still not getting his wish to eat you out. âThis taste is already doing things to me,â Lando continues, âand I canât wait to get addicted to it properly.âÂ

đ/đ: thank you all for more than 505 followers (see what i did there with the song?) have this as a token of my gratitude (this is superr long overdue, mb you guys)
đ/đ: around 2500
âWhy? Why, Sukuna? Why the hell did you not pull away?â You failed to keep your voice down.
âBaby, please. Trust me, she flung herself on me. Iââ
âSo you didn't push her off?â
Sukuna raked his fingers through his hair, clearly exasperated and struggling to find the words to answer you. âLook â the last time I did that I almost got arrested for assault. And guess what? You yelled at me for that, too. You said, âWhy would you do that? You couldn't have just told her to get off?â So really, what did you want me to do this time?â
You covered your mouth to stifle your sobs, at this point, your mascara was completely ruined, running down your cheeks. âOkay, okay, I get it. I'm wrong, you're right.â
But I crumble completely when you cry
Sukuna turned away from you, scratching his neck. Your mascara was smudged along your cheeks, your tears dampening your eyelashes. He couldn't bear seeing you like this, not when he was the cause. Was it cruel of him to say, to believe, to think, that you were most beautiful this way?
âThat wasn't my point, and you know that. You know that damn well, sweetheart.â Sukuna said â after a moment of silence â and turned back to face you, albeit he hesitated before meeting your glossy eyes.
âThen what was it? What was it, Sukuna? Tell me. Enlighten me.â You frantically wiped away your tears as they fell, and though desperate as you were, you were still too slow.
â. . .â Sukuna stared down at you with a stoic expression painted on his face. His gaze remained unwavering, though yours flickered throughout the room, seemingly unable to face him properly. If he knew better, he would realize it was only because you would start bawling immediately after meeting his crimson eyes.
It seems like once again you've had to greet me with goodbye
âFine!â You threw your arms up, utterly defeated. You had no time for Sukuna's games. âBe that way; go have fun with all your other girls!â You stomped away, but decided â in the moment â to turn around for a second just to flip the pink-haired man off. âBurn in Hell, Sukuna, for all I care. I don't want to see your stupid, stupid face ever again.â
Sukuna sighed, his eyes burned holes into the back of your dress as you left him standing there. Standing there with nothing but his thoughts, dreams, and regrets. Standing there in the club alleyway. The same club alleyway that you pulled him away to so you could yell at him.
But it didn't feel like the same club alleyway, because Something was missing. Something very dear to him â but he was no better than a man.
I'm always just about to go and spoil the surprise
He was no better than a man. He didn't have the courage. He didn't have the brains. He didn't have the wit. He didn't have the assets. He didn't have anything that he had had with you. Not anymore, at least.
Take my hands off of your eyes too soon
He didn't have anything, because you were his everything. You were his light. His match. His flame. He didn't know what his point was. He didn't know. He didn't know. Because alas, he was no better than just a man. A man helplessly in love â with you.
So what would a man â helplessly in love with you â do? Perhaps he would visit your favorite jewelry brand and buy you an exquisite necklace. Maybe he would stop by a florist's shop and get you flowers. Or he could get you a baked good from the local bakery you like so much. And so, Sukuna â possibly being the most indecisive man alive â did all three of those things.
He purchased you a glimmering diamond necklace, a bouquet made up of your favorite flowers, and a cake of your favorite flavor.
Now, Sukuna was never a nervous nor self-doubting man, that was until he met you. He gets butterflies at the thought of you, though he'd never admit that. What could he say? He loved your laugh, the way your eyes crinkle as you do, your smile, your habit of tucking your hair behind your ear, your meticulousness when choosing earrings to match your outfit, your eyes â especially when they appeared to almost be glittering, he loved everything about you. But most importantly. . . He loved you. And that is why he sits in the driver's seat of his car, with his head in his hands and his back hunched over in thought.
He messed up. He messed up bad. And now he had to clean up the mess.
Fifteen minutes prior, his younger twin brother â Yuuji â had given him a pep talk, hyping him up. Yuuji knew how much you had helped Sukuna. He remembered the way Sukuna appeared happier, as if 100 pounds had been lifted off his shoulders â not that he would have any trouble carrying that weight â when Sukuna came home from your first date together. Yuuji saw the difference in Sukuna from that day on. Yuuji saw, Yuuji heard, and Yuuji felt the difference.
Albeit the younger twin could be a bit . . . dull, at times, Yuuji knew that you were what Sukuna needed most. If you had affected Sukuna so greatly when you came into his life, just think about the effects that would take place if you two separated. Yuuji got chills just thinking of that, which was why he was so desperate for his older brother to just rip off the bandaid, set his ego aside, and make amends.
I'm going back to 505
Sukuna was going back. He was going back to you . . . even if it was the last thing he would do. He finally raised his head from his hands and started the car. He was going to see you, apologize and explain how stupid he was being, and he was going to give you all the gifts he purchased. If his words couldn't satisfy you, he was going to spend the rest of his life proving himself to you with his credit card.
If it's a seven hour flight or a forty-five minute drive
The drive to your apartment from his penthouse was only 3/4s of an hour, though it felt much longer as his dread grew and grew. It didn't matter how long, how far, how dangerous, the journey â he would always go back to his girl.
His girl.
That's what you were. That's what you are. That's what you will be â for as long as Sukuna lives. He would make sure of that.
The knife twists at the thought that I should fall short of the mark
But it didn't feel that way, certainly not when you opened the door with a frown on your face that only deepened as you immediately moved to close the door upon seeing the pink spikes of Sukunaâs hair. But he was already two steps ahead of you. He â already expecting that reaction â had quickly blocked you from closing the door by sticking his foot out between the door.
Frightened by the bite, though it's no harsher than the bark
âSukuna. Didn't I tell you to neverâ!â
âBaby, please. Hear me out â for just a second.â Sukuna's lips were dry, his throat parched.
âFine.â Your voice was barely above a whisper, he would've missed it if he was not as desperate as he was now.
Three days. It had been three days since you two had last spoken, in that damned alleyway. Three days of plain torture. Three days of sleepless nights. Three days without you. Three days of Hell.
God, he was so glad to hear your voice again; it was like music to his ears.
The middle of adventure, such a perfect place to start
You slowly pulled the door back and took a step backward, silently giving Sukuna your consent for him to enter. However, he didn't feel deserving of it, so he stayed in his position.
âLook, this is probably a waste of your timeââ
âIt is.â
He shoved the gifts into your hands.
âOh? What's this?â You raised a brow, digging your hand through the bags to investigate, but Sukuna cleared his throat and you met his eyes.
âI want to apologize, for what I said and for how I acted. I'm really, really sorry. You know I'm not the best with these kinds of things, but, I really am. Believe me. And . . . I wasn't in the right state of mind, I was already a few drinks in â yâknow that â and I know that's not an excuse but, I just. . . I'm sorry, okay? I haven't slept a wink since you left. And I was a fucking coward: I should've done this earlier but I didn't. Soâplease, forgive me.â
You didn't say anything, averting your gaze to the ground at your feet, and still processing his words. You mulled over what he had said in your head.
âSay something. Anything. Please.â Sukuna was so close to getting on his hands and knees that it was almost embarrassing.
âSukuna, I don't know what to tell you. I believe you're sorry but I. . . I'm not ready to forgive you, not yet. It's just a lot, yâknow? I mean, if you were in my shoes right now, you would feel the same wayââ
âThat's why I'm apologizing.â Sukuna cut you off, his desperation quickly turning into agitation.
âYes, I get that, but . . . I'm just not ready to forgive you yet. I'm not ready to just push this aside and move on. I'm not . . . ready â for any of that.â Your eyes softened, as did your tone.
Despite his desperate pleads, you couldn't bring yourself to just forget the whole ordeal and why he was apologizing in the first place. But Sukuna was no better than a man. He had no clue why you felt this way. The only thing he's known in life was to move on. That's what he does and will do. That's why he is the way he is. That's why.
âDo you even want this relationship to last? Can't you see I'm trying to fix this problem?â
âI do, Sukuna. I really do. Couples fight and have arguments. It's normal. It's what we're doing right now. But just because it's normal doesn't mean I'm going to brush it aside as if it didn't happen.â
âAre you out of yourâ!? Do you have any idea how many girls would like to be in your spot right now? Do you have ANY idea?â By now, Sukuna had completely lost it. He was frustrated, so frustrated. He didn't understand what more you wanted from him.
âIâSukuna, what?â
âHave you any idea? Any idea at all?â
You would be lying if you said you weren't scared, utterly afraid of the man standing before you right now. For you could see nothing past his eyes, no love, no care, nothing. Only the deep, rich crimson color that you once loved and held so dear to your heart.
âYou know what? Good for you. Good for you that you have so many other better options but you chose me. Good. For. You. I guess you don't need me anymore. Goodbye, Sukuna.â
You slammed the door [shut] in Sukuna's face, falling with your back against it seconds later and bringing your knees to your chest. The waterworks started soon after and Sukuna could hear your quiet sobs from beyond the door.
He was dumbfounded, absolutely appalled. Did he really just say that to you? Sukuna knew he was not the brightest, but, damn, he's really done it this time.
Sukuna ran his fingers through his hair, now sitting in his car. He definitely did not mean to say what he said. In fact, he didn't even know how it slipped out. One second he was basically on his knees for you and the next, he . . . wasn't. Seriously, what the hell is wrong with me? He thought. He continued to sit there, reflecting on his actions and words. But he still couldn't believe it. What the fuck just happened?
He came to your apartment hoping to salvage the remnants of your guys' relationship, but he ended up ruining it â forever. Sukuna was 100% sure this was the worst fuckup in the history of mankind.
But he couldn't just leave it like this. He could still fix this, right? Alas, Sukuna had lost all hope; he lost his mind; and he lost the love of his life.
âShit,â Sukuna muttered. He had really lost it, he thought, as he walked back to your apartment door. He had really lost it, he thought, when he spared a glance at your apartment number.
I'm going back to 505
That was the whole point of this, right? He was going back â no matter what, right?
When you look at me like that, my darlin', what did you expect?
He had really lost it, he thought, when he saw your glossy â yet still absolutely mesmerizing eyes after reluctantly answering the door, waiting for Sukuna to say something, anything. Anything at all. But he didn't. He didn't say anything at all. He had really lost it, he thought, when he pulled you in for the most zealous kiss he had ever experienced that left you gasping for air. His lips slotted against yours, moving fervently simultaneously. Albeit, he pulled away rather quickly â afraid of what he had just done.
I'd probably still adore you with your hands around my neck
Mere seconds after Sukuna pulled back, you moved your hand so quickly â that Sukuna didn't even notice at first â and slapped him. Hard. You slapped him hard as fuck. But then you did something that surprised the pink-haired man even more. You embraced him in a hug, and a tight one at that.
âHug me back, dumbass.â You quipped.
Or I did last time I checked
âYou just slapped me.â He hugged you back, nevertheless, wrapping his arms around your figure. Because, he had to admit, it was kinda hot [getting slapped].
âDuh. âCause you're such a loser.â
A pause of silence occured, before Sukuna spoke up.
âI didn't mean what I said,â Sukuna murmured against your hair. He had longed for this moment. God, you made him so soft sometimes.
âI know.â
âI'm sorry.â
âI know.â
âI missed you.â
âYou never stop talking, do you.â
âTo you? Never.â
I'm going back to 505
If it's a seven hour flight or a forty-five minute drive
In my imagination, you're waitin' lyin' on your side
With your hands between your thighs and a smile

THE WAY YOU SAY GOODBYE
a/n: i have been watching way too much hart of dixie lately and well wade is basically just hangman in a different font. don't try to argue cause you know i'm absolutely right. so i spawned this drabble out of my head as if i were summoning a demon. enjoy my hangman girlies.
summary: if there's a way to say goodbye that has been noted in the history books, hangman will find a way to master it.
word count: 1k+
pairing: jake 'hangman' seresin x f!reader
warnings: semi-explicit, kissing that borders on tongue fucking, he's nasty with it, cocky hangman, spit, again i say he's nasty with it.
Looking up the definition of the word goodbye would come with an endless amount of definitions and explanations. All in varying languages, with meanings so deep they grew like the roots of a tree. Embedding themselves in the earth with life of its own.
The way Hangman said goodbye wasnât one of those.
He was assured, cocky, and genuinely believed he was Godâs gift to this earth. You could see it with how he leaned against the pool table, his legs spread, lips pulled into a you know you want to fuck me smile. And the thing wasâŠyou couldnât deny it. You did in fact want that. You had that. Four hours ago at the crack of dawn when he found his way back into your bed after a run and a shower.
Of course the others around would voice their displeasure and intense disgust if either of you brought it up. So you stayed silent. Sipping a coffee as he argued with Rooster over who had the bigger dick. Or something of that manner. You werenât entirely focused on the conversation, your eyes fixated on the way his uniform pulled taut across his shoulders.
You were pretty sure that if you peeled the layers of fabric away, youâd find the imprint of your teeth in the muscle of his right shoulder.
Part of you was tempted to search for it. The other part had yet to notice he had stopped talking altogether, his attention on the only thing that mattered. You and your dreamy haze of love.
If he had the time heâd drag you to the bathroom, but everyone was already starting to pack it in for the morning. It would be a long day of training, of listening to the same orders over and over, of picking fights with one another until their patience ran thin. And all he wanted was to say goodbye to you properly. In a way that heâd feel each time you crossed his mind.
âYou want a ride?â Fanboy asked, digging his keys out of his pocket.
He nodded. âYeah thanks.â
âLetâs head out boys.â Phoenix shoved her arms into the leather jacket sheâd brought even though the weather outside was warm enough to sunbathe.
He found his mind wandering to the image of you doing just that.
âAlright,â he sighed, standing tall as he reached for the jacket on the back of his chair.
You smiled as he sauntered over to you, his hand gripping your waist as he tugged you to stand up. âYouâre going?â
He sighed as if youâd asked him the hardest question to exist. âYeah. Iâve gotta go baby.â
âIâll see you tonight.â
The soft smile that crossed his lips was enough to have your heart racing. âIâve got a new bottle of wine, some new desserts to try out.â
He smiled, his hand sliding lower as you listed out a few other things. Some which you had to say softly, lest you bring the wrath of the others. Youâd been in that predicament before; you didnât necessarily want to go back. At least not for a few months. Getting caught at the rocks by the beach was bad enough. Getting caught by Rooster, Phoenix, and Coyote was worse.
Although they couldnât deny it, they were much happier seeing Hangman in a relationship than out of one.
âWe got to go man,â Fanboy said, nudging Payback to get up from where he sat. âI donât want to get stuck doing extra push ups when your asses make me late.â
Jake chuckled, his eyes dropping to the way your tongue slid along your bottom lip. The idea of dropping in when he got lunch was appealing enough to hold him over for a few hours. At least then he could show you what heâd been craving to eat since this morning.
âGentlemen. Phoenix. You might want to avert your eyes. Iâm about to kiss my woman goodbye.â The groan from behind was enough to set you off in a fit of giggles, your hand sliding into the base of his hair. âCâmere sugar,â he mumbled, grasping the nape of your neck.
To say Jake Seresin invented the art of saying goodbye was an understatement. He made bidding farewell dirty, debauched, and so filthy so as to solidify that moment in your mind for the rest of the day. His tongue slid into your mouth, a soft moan at the taste of your coffee being pressed into the searing kiss, as he tugged you even closer. The breath was knocked from your lungs with each lick into you and you began to wonder if maybe he was thinking of something else entirely.
That only made you grip onto his hair tighter, pulling him close enough to feel the way his hips shifted forward. Not enough to draw attention from the others. Yet you felt as if he was grinding into you without a single item of clothing on.
âThatâs disgusting!â Rooster shouted from across the bar.
Yet you couldnât find it in yourself to pull away. Spit spread slightly down your chin, his teeth digging into the plush skin of your bottom lip, and you felt your knees begin to buckle. Even as he gripped your ass tight enough to leave a phantom touch behind.
He made sure youâd feel him all fucking day.
âMm,â he hummed, his grip growing tighter. âYour coffee tastes delicious baby.â
You laughed. âYou want some?â
âI gotta go,â he mumbled, kissing you again as he licked even deeper into your mouth. His sharp inhale the cause of your heart stuttering.
âSo go,â you breathed. âIâm not stopping you.â
He smiled. âLiar.â
âDonât be rude.â
âOr what?â
Twisting his hair between your fingers, you tugged his head back slightly. Earning you a soft grunt you felt in the base of your stomach.
âOr I find something else to occupy my night.â
âNoted Mrs. Seresin.â He snuck your mug out from behind you, stealing a sip as you hung on himâaddicted to his mere presence.
You smiled, biting into your bottom lip as he cleaned you up with his thumb. âIâll see you later Mr. Seresin.â
âOh yes you will,â he murmured, stealing a chaste kiss as he swung his jacket over his shoulder. âYou can count on it sugar!â

Secret (4) // Alexia Putellas
a/n: final part:)
| Part 1 | Part 2 | Part 3 | extra |
When Alexia arrived at home, she thought about the next day, the next week and the following months.
She was ready to fight for you.
And even if there's no chance of ending up together, at least she would have tried.
She wanted you to be hers.
But she also knew that it would take time for you to trust her again.
The two of you had to start over, getting to know each other like when you joined Barcelona.
She was ready to fight for months, even years if that meant being yours someday.
Shy smiles
Alexia started to send you a shy smile each morning when you entered the locker room, her cheeks turning red most of the time when you caught her staring at you.
It was weird at first as you saw the glint in her eyes - she had a plan in mind - but nonetheless you accepted the small acknowledgment from her. It was a nice way to start the day. And you had to admit, catching her staring at you made your heart flutter.
Greetings and good byes
Growing up with the rule: 'everybody gets greeted and a goodbye' you enjoyed it very much when Alexia started to say 'hola' and 'adios'.
But what you even more appreciated was when she greeted you specifically.
-
Alexia entered the changing room rather late for her standards, most of the girls already getting ready for training.
"good morning" she said to your teammates before walking over to her cubby, passing yours, "hola y/n" she smiled, her cheeks turning red when you looked up at her with wide eyes. You hadnât expected that - she talked to you, in a room full of people.
"Hi" you whispered, watching the girl walk away.
Both of you had red cheeks, this simple interaction making your heart race. What was her plan? She hadnât approached you properly since the flower incident, was that her way of fighting? What was her way of fighting for you?
-
She surprised you a second time that day when she came to see you in the physio room.
In training, you had fallen awkwardly on your wrist, resulting in some pain which had to be checked. It wasnât something tragic, but better safe than sorry.
Running through the tests with the physio, you got interrupted by a knock, Alexia appearing in the door frame, "just wanted to say bye" she smiled, the same shy smile appearing on her face which youâve had met many times before.
"So, um, bye?"
You chuckled at her nervousness, "bye"
"SĂ, bye!" with that she rushed out, closing the door.
And like that the 'hi' and 'bye' continued for awhile.
Talking
"Iâve finally finished watching the show, it was awesome" Alexia randomly stated as you walked next to each other towards the pitch, "I really liked how it ended"
"Right?! It was a great plot twist" you knew immediately which show she meant - the one you had recommended.
"SĂ, sĂ. it made so much sense"
you fell easily into the conversation, sharing your opinions about the plot, characters and scenes and continued to do so until training started.
Seeing the two of you talk with one another became a regular occurrence, Ingrid, Mapi and Frido keeping an eye on both of you as they suspected something more soon, not knowing there had been already and Alexia was working on getting back together.
friends
Over the next few months, the two of you became friends, best friends if you were completely honest. and even though, both of you loved the other one more than anything was that an important step in your relationship. You had learned to start over again, getting to know each other like the very first time.
But you couldnât lie, it was hard at times. Sometimes, it took every inch of self control⊠for both of you.
-
It was a hot day, everybody exhausted after the intense training session. most of the girls dropped on the floor, sitting there for a few minutes to calm down while they drank water. Ale was talking to Mapi and Irene while you stood there, drowning half of the water bottle. Your eyes kept glancing at Alexia, the girls shirt rolled up as she every now and then wiped away the sweat from her face.
Thatâs when idea popped up in your head. With a few steps you stood in front of the three Spaniards, shielding Alexia from the sun, "just stay like that" she said, smiling, leaning back on her arms.
"Are you hot?" you asked, a mischief smile on your face.
"Are you not?" she replied, her eyes closed as she appreciated the shade.
"Letâs cool you down then!" you laughed, pouring your water bottle over her. The midfielder gasped, one hand wiping away the water as the girls laughed, Alexia glaring at you, "you better start running" she growled.
And thatâs what you did. You ran over the pitch, Alexia already running after you before you ran into the facility, not knowing where else to go. La reina caught up to you when you entered the locker room, her arms gripping your waist before she pushed you against the wall.
With fear in your eyes, you looked at her, shyly grinning, "cooled you down, didnât it?"
"Cheeky as always, hm?" she leaned her body against yours, both of you so close that you could feel her breath fanning against your skin.
"Youâre so beautiful" the girl admired, completely lost in your beauty, as your eyes flickered between hers and her lips.
In that moment, both of you wanted to kiss each other, feeling the blood rush through your veins, stomaches full of butterflies - you didnât know you were leaning in until Alexia took a step back, "this wouldnât be right" she whispered as she wanted to kiss you just as much, "and I want to make things right." you closed your eyes for a brief of a moment, inhaling the scent you loved so dearly and enjoying the proximity until it was gone - she was gone.
date?
At some point, these kind of situations happened more often, almost everyday. Alexia caught herself wanting to and almost calling you 'amor' while you werenât driving to your home but in the direction of Alexiaâs house.
It was confusing for the both of you.
You loved each other but somehow it felt like new butterflies discovered the surface. You got to know one another in a different way - in a way that neither of you knew before.
The combination of the new and old butterflies caused a feeling that you never felt before. The old merged with the new and turned out to be strong. very strong.
So strongâŠ
âŠthat you couldnât go to bed without thinking of Alexia- without imagining your future together.
âŠthat Alexia was now 24/7 in your mind, or maybe even longer.
Per se, it wasnât different to the things you felt before but it was definitely more present and more intense. Maybe it was the acknowledgement of you as a person in training, outside of the facility and in general that made everything so special.
Alexia interpreted these situations as a sign. As a sign that now the moment had come - the moment she had been working towards for months. Now was the time to ask you for a second chance. For a date.
-
"Wait a moment" Alexia called after you as you walked to your car.
You stopped in your tracks, turning around, "yes?" you asked.
Alexia was nervous, you could tell by the way she played with the ring on her finger, her eyes darted around or foot tapping the floor rapidly. "Would- I would- um- I thought- maybe- um" taking her hand, you caressed the back of it with your thumb - it felt so natural.
"Breathe in, breath out"
Alexia followed your instructions, squeezing your hand for her own reassurance and sake.
"Thank you"
"Do you want to try again?" you asked, smiling lovingly.
"SĂ" she took a deep breath, "do you want to go on a date with me?"
In trance, you pulled your hand away, stepping back, "Iâd like to take you out to the restaurant Frido suggested"
"Take out?"
"Yes- wait no! I mean- eating in the restaurant"
"Like an actual date?" you sounded so surprised that it broke Alexiaâs heart at the way your eyes lit up and the way your smile reached the corner of your eyes.
"Yes, an actual date. Outside of our apartments. Only if you want to, of course"
"Iâd love to" Alexia thought your smile couldnât get any bigger but oh, she was wrong.
With confidence, she stated, "Iâll pick you up tomorrow at 7. wear the nicest clothes you have" happily, she pressed a peck to your cheek before skipping over to her car.
You said yes!
chance?
"Whatâs that?" you asked, confused about the item Ale held in her hand.
"Itâs a notebook" she replied, shuffling with her feet as you stood in front of your door, the girl insisting on walking you home after your date, "i, um, havenât been romantic before and i-" nervously she scratched the back of her neck, a habit of her when she got anxious, "I want to be romantic." her cheeks covered in a blush. You raised a brow, even more confused - what was going on..?
She pressed a kiss to your cheek instead of answering your questioning look, hurrying away before you could say anything.
Rushing inside, throwing your shoes somewhere, you quickly got comfortable on the couch. As you opened the little notebook you were met with Alexiaâs handwriting.
20th August
Today, I started. I smiled at her - she returned my smile. My heart fluttered at the sight of her, sheâs so gorgeous and her smile is so incredibly breathtaking. It wasnât her There-is-a-puppy!-smile (which is one of my favourites) or the bright wide smile that reaches the corner of her eyes (which I absolutely love) - it was much more than that. For me, it felt like a chance.
28th August
I canât help but drool at the sight of her. Especially after a won game. Sheâs my Barcelona.
12th September
I said hi and bye today. Bye turned out to be a lot harder because she fell in training and hurt herself. It was very hard for me not to approach her then and there, I was so worried. Her nose scrunched up in pain when her wrist was touched or she tried to move - I hate seeing her in pain.
I hope she doesnât think Iâm weird because I disturbed the physio tests, I just wanted to see her (and of course, say adios).
13th September
I love her.
Entries like that filled the book, every step (and achievement) in her plan was documented and sometimes there were just adoration entries - pages about how pretty you are, what she likes about you, what you love, your character and habits described down to the smallest detail and so much more. It was clear to say that she loved you. And that she regretted everything (pages of explanations, apologies and regret showing that very clearly)
Two entries caught you off guard though, you didnât know if you wanted to laugh or cry.
1st March
Dear diary - I guess itâs a diary, isnât it? Correct me if Iâm wrong..
Anyways.
Dear diary, itâs almost midnight at the moment and Mapi just left. I had invited mama, alba and Mapi for dinner tonight, I had to talk to them about y/n. I should have done that ages ago but better late than never?
I told them about y/n, that we were a couple, that I kept her a secret, offered Alba money to keep her mouth shut - I told them everything. No, Iâm not proud about how I treated the love of my life but they needed to know. I had to talk to someone. I have told mama about her before that already, not everything but she knew enough to know that I fucked up badly. Now, all of them know everything (not that we had sex, a lot of that too - just the.. yeah I think you get the point).
I want inner peace and itâs already hard enough without her in my life, so that was the least I could to do to come in terms with myself, even though I will never forgive myself or wonât regret it for the rest of my life.
Mama was not happy with me but I didnât expect something else. She hadnât raised me to be an ass and is very disappointed in me. I canât blame her.
Alba was quiet most of the time, i think she is the one who understands most. My sister was the first and only one who knew about y/n. She saw what an idiot I was and how rude I acted towards the girl I love. I offered her money - how patheticâŠ
She got under my skin while she flirted with y/n and she knew that. She made me purposely jealous. And I deserved to feel that rage because I let y/n slip out of my hands while I knew that she loved me more than anything.
Mapi stayed here the longest, because I told her about my plan on winning my girl back. I want her. I need her. I donât deserve her, I truly donât but I canât stop trying, can I? Iâm in love with her, Iâve never felt something so strong for anyone before. It scares me.
Mapi isnât proud of my behavior either because she knows what a ray of sunshine and pure soul y/n is but is willing to help when i need her.
âŠ
22nd April (todayâs date)
Iâm sorry for everything. There hasnât been a day where Iâm not regretting letting you walk through that door.
I hate myself for being so scared, selfish and rude but I love you. I love you with all my heart and every inch of my body - that hasnât changed.
You are probably surprised about the change of perspective who Iâm talking to but I know you are clever, you know Iâm talking to you, y/n.
Or questioning why Iâm even addressing it to you, but i think, you will know me the best when you read all of my thoughts. Itâs hard for me to let my walls down, I know you know that, and I want to give you the chance to see all of me to the time you werenât my girlfriend and understand the reasons of my actions to- well, everything.
Right now, itâs an hour before our date and Iâm so nervous yet so excited. I want to make things right. I donât want to hide you, I want to show the world how incredible and gorgeous you are and how in love I am with you because I am. I think about you all day everyday. It might sound crazy but you are the one for me, Iâve Imagined our wedding multiple times, little y/nâs running around calling for their mama.
I love you, I really do.
And no matter the outcome of this date, I will always love you, even when we donât end up together. I promise you to love you from afar and forever so. And if you should ever not have a home - mine will be forever yours. I will always let that door open for you..
Happy ending?
Alexia took you out on multiple dates: the beach, mini golf, the cinema, every romantic place she could think of. She didnât hide you and the attention you got from her was making you feel special.
You felt free.
You felt happy.
You fell in love with her all over again.
And you enjoyed every second of it.
The romance you always dreamed of became your reality. It was different than before with her. You both were full of life. It felt natural to hold hands as you walked down the streets, share kisses in the rain, or have a hearty argument in the restaurant over who paid for the meal (spoiler: la reina always won) yet things werenât official. Alexia had the question resting on her tongue, not sure if it was right to ask you. She wanted to, she really did, but in the back of her mind, she always heard a voice "youâre not good enough. Youâve fucked up before. Sheâll never give you another chance" however Alexia wasnât the same - she wasnât scared anymore. She was ready to show everybody how in love she was with you. She couldnât care less what the media would say about the two of you being together or what other people think about you.
She just wanted you.
So, she fought against the urge to believe the voice in the back of her head. She was stronger than that.
-
Your body was leaned against Alexia, her arms snuggled around you as your legs tangled together, her head resting on your shoulder as you watched some netflix show. The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, the moment seemed perfect.
"I never want to let you walk through that door again, at least not without me holding your hand" she whispered, her grip tightening around your waist, "Iâm forever sorry that I ever did, I promise."
Your heart stopped, everything before hadnât been brought up since her shy smiles - the start of something new - "if you let me, I will show you every day that youâre not my secret. That you are my girlfriend"
turning in her hold, you looked at her. Had she fought enough? Did she deserve to be forgiven? Will it be the truth that you wonât be her secret?
She showed you.
"Are you asking me to be your girlfriend, la reina?" you asked, smiling, pushing all the negative thoughts away.
She deserved another chance.
"SĂ"
It will be the truth.
"Then ask me"
"Will you be my girlfriend?" her heart stopped beating, her hopes high for a positive responds, her nerves at its highest.
"Yes"
Relief washing over her as she heard the answer.
no secret
The girls knew right away that the two of you were a couple as you walked into the locker room with intertwined hands.
In training, Alexia would stay close to you, preferably touching you (an arm around your shoulder, hand resting on the small of you back, etc) and constantly engaging you in a conversation.
"Finally asked her out, hm?" Ingrid teased Alexia as she stood next to Mapi, Aleâs hand tightening on your waist. While the Norseâs comment was meant innocently, the three of you froze - Ingrid still didn't know the whole story.
"Yeah, took me a bit to realize that sheâs special" Alexia said, eyes finding yours. Her eyes were questions marks - are you alright? was this okay? In responds, you quickly pecked her cheek.
As you turned back to Ingrid and Mapi, you left Aleâs touch, throwing an arm around your best friend, "What about a double date?" you asked excitedly, knowing the Norwegian woman would agree in an instant.
In the background, you heard Mapi groan, playfully shoving your girlfriend, "Iâm blaming you for this" as she listened to Ingrid and you planning where you would go. Nonetheless both Spaniards followed you to the changing room like lost puppies, eyes full of hearts as love glowed around them.
It was save to say, that double dates became a regular occurrence.
-
"Amor? Can we talk about something?" the girl looked up from her dinner plate.
"Donât you like it?" you asked, referring to the new recipe you had tried.
"No, itâs delicious" she put down her fork, hand reaching for your free one, "mama invited us for dinner" she said in a gentle voice, "do you want to go? I told her, I want to talk to you about it first before I say yes. In case, you donât want to"
"Do you want to go?" you questioned, unsure if she wanted this as much as you did.
"Yes, Iâd like you to meet my family officially. As my girlfriend."
This moment showed you that you werenât her dirty secret anymore - not at all.
"Only if youâre okay with that, of course" she squeezed your hand, letting you know that you can say 'no' if you werenât comfortable "we donât need to rush anything" as she wanted to do everything at the pace you set.
You were her first priority.
"Does your mother like wine?" you answered, agreeing to have dinner with her family while you felt the excitement rush through your body.
-
"My family loves you, amor" Alexia said as the two of you were in the car on your way home from dinner. Her hand rested on your thigh as yours rested on top of hers, "you think so?"
"SĂ, claro. Youâre perfect" lifting your hand, she pressed a kiss on the back of it before settling back down, your cheeks turning red.
After awhile of comfortable silence, you broke the tranquil atmosphere "You know, weâve never talked about the notebook" you whispered. You didnât know why the words left your mouth but you couldnât take them back either. In fact, you wanted to talk about it ever since you had read the pages full of information, thoughts and love yet never had the courage to bring it up. There was no reason to do so, Alexia was your girlfriend, you had read about her build up plan on winning you back, all the things she loved about you and the pages of regret and disappointment.
She knew that this day would come eventually - always wondering when. It had been awhile since she had given you the booklet.
"I donât want to make you uncomfortable, I just want you to know that I really appreciated- still do the gesture of getting to know you in a way that I didnât know before."
She was very grateful that you didn't want to discuss the topic any further as she was still slightly embarrassed about all the feeling she had exposed in that book. But she also knew that the day would come where the both of you would have a very detailed conversation about every written word in there.
"Maybe one day weâll have a home where nobody had walked through that door and where you would never have to leave the door open for me." you whispered, smiling softly before looking out of the window at the night sky.
Alexia knew immediately what you were talking about
'I promise you to love you from afar and forever so. And if you should ever not have a home - mine will be forever yours. I will always let that door open for you..'
and what you were implying.
So, with the moon shining, the stars lighting, she promised that one day a shared home would be reality.
"Iâll let the lights on instead" she chuckled, remembering the multiple times youâd walked into something in the dark.
Ps. the internet went crazy when Alexia posted a picture dump of you on your first anniversary (finally confirming the rumours)

Bittersweet ! đ
mdni <3 youâre here pt 2
series masterlist đ
~ in which Ellie breaks up with you and you go a little crazy ~
ex! ellie williams x fem! reader , abby anderson x fem! reader
college au!
warnings: angst, break up, cheating!!, cursing, toxic behavior, smut in future chapters, sexual themes<3 feminine and girly reader ,not proof read!!
You watched as Ellie stuffed her duffel bag with all her clothes out of your shared closet, at least youâd have more space for new clothes, youâll definitely do some online shopping later to cheer yourself up.
Youâve stopped crying at this point, you decided that Ellieâs not worth your tears right now she doesnât deserve to see you in this state, you wonât let her have it. Instead you wiped your heavy tears away and tried to stay calm ⊠at least until she left.
Ellie shifted from her kneeling position as she finished packing her things up, she was ready to leave. She tried to get close to you one last time, a poor attempt to initiate a hug which you declined with taking a step back. What the fuck was that?? you thought, she couldnât stop making this more awkward than it already was.
âI just want you to know that.. i want to try to be friends i canât throw away everything we went through and i hope you feel the same way..maybe not now but one day â
Her voice broke mid sentence, but you wanted to laugh in her face. You just threw away everything we had you asshole is what you wanted to say but you bit your tongue.
You wanted to scream at her
i did everything for you! I did everything to make you happy, i gave you my all and you did fucking nothing! Why couldnât you end things sooner huh? Fucking coward all you did was waste my time and efforts Ellie, fuck i hope youâre happy fucking Dina every night just like you did on your little studying sessions.
âi know you probably hate me and iâm really sorry i justâŠfuck i fell in love with her you know? I didnât meant to i swear i-â
She went on and on with her rambling, stopping when she noticed you werenât listening to her bullshit anymore. All she said was that Dina was better than you, you got it like 20 minutes ago fuck.
âGoodbye Ellieâ
at this point you pushed her out of the doorframe, she pleaded you to let her say goodbye properly whatever the fuck that means. You didnât wanna find out. Ellie was still so immature in the head..poor girl will never know what she wants. Yeah that was probably it you tried to make sense of the situation but it was just stupid. It wasnât your fault that she couldnât love you the way you deserved, it wasnât your fault that she needed to ruin what youâve built for some short term fun.. you were her first kiss, her first time, her first love her first everything.
You guess her thirst for new experiences won against years of loving each other.
You remembered meeting Ellie when you were little, sheâd always get into fights with kids that were mean to you on the playground. She was your hero and you believe that you loved her from the very beginning. Sheâd talk your ear off about space, dinosaurs and how she wanted to become an astronaut when she grows up and you believed in her, you always did.
The day before she asked you to be her girlfriend, Ellie introduced you to her Father, Joel. It was such a beautiful day you got along so well and he absolutely loved you. You were convinced that you were going to marry Ellie one dayâŠhow wrong you were.
Once Ellie was accepted into college you were the first one to know but Ellie.. Seattle is so far away.. you were so happy for her but you werenât made for a long distance relationship. I know but.. i want to get into Aerospace engineering and itâs the best place for that babe.. come with me? Please?
just like that you applied for your dream major and got accepted in no time. You wished things wouldâve gone differently..
You shrugged off the memories that were floating in your head as you plopped on your king sized bed, face down on your fluffy pillows. You groaned loudly and forced yourself up against the bed frame, grabbing your phone you left on the nightstand.
Mindlessly scrolling through instagram you stumbled across a picture of her.
It was a mirror selfie in a free weights section of some gym..she was in a tight competition shirt and grey sweats, boxers peeking out just a tiny bit as she flexed her big beefy arms..god you could almost count the muscles on her stomach.
Her blonde locks were tied in a loose braid, little strands framing her freckled face..okay thatâs enough you thought as you clicked on her profile taking in every picture her hands are so big you bit your lip and rubbed your thighs together without even noticing has Abby Anderson always been this hot??
Of course she has..straight A student biology major scholarship basketball team captain daughter of one of the greatest neurosurgeons in the state Abby Anderson
Ellie never told you about her feud with her..she just told you to stay away from her at all costs. Babe it doesnât matter just ignore her trust me sheâs no good..i fucking hate her guts is what you recall her saying after Abby greeted you in the hallway like one time.
Lost in your thoughts you didnât notice that you accidentally liked one of her newest stories oh no no no fuck!! you panicked and threw your phone on your bed far away from you.
ding!
ding!
ding!
please be Ellie you prayed to god that it was Ellie hoping she left something important behind but you were wrong.. maybe you should just end it all nowâŠ
after contemplating your entire life for about 5 minutes you dared to click on Abbyâs messages
hey doll
heard about your breakup.. Ellieâs a dick anyway lol
want me to cheer you up?

Series Masterlist
Harry had been restless ever since he said goodbye to Y/N and stepped into his car yesterday. It was like his whole body was screaming at him to turn around and kiss her. He had never felt such a need to do it before. Never experienced his body pulling him to hers like magnets, as if he couldn't breathe properly again until he kissed her.
It was scary, to say the least.
He'd had crushes before, or just people he'd found attractive and sometimes popped up in his fantasies, but this was different. It was almost laughable. How did he even know it was different, Harry ridiculed himself. He'd seen the girlâ what? Two, three times now?
And then, like clockwork, that lovingly ache in his stomach would multiply in response, and Harry just knew. It was risky, he was aware of that as well, but he just wanted her close, one way or another. Even if he'd have to wait until the day she didn't want self-defense classes anymore to ask her on a date, he would, although it felt almost physically impossible to think of being that close to her and never being able to kiss her.
If he could just kiss her...
Harry frowned, staring blankly towards the heap of paperwork on his desk. He had been busy with this for the last two hours, and his daydreaming about Y/N was the only reason it was not yet finished. He tried to read again, but the letters on the paper just wouldn't form into words. Sighing, Harry looked up from his desk, looking out into the training room, which was on the empty side. It was lunchtime now, so it would fill up again in an hour or two.
The sight of Y/N walking through the room had Harry leaping from his chair. He blinked a couple times, making sure he wasn't dreaming or anything. Nope, he was not dreaming at all, Y/N was in the gym.
Not only that, she was also wearing tight sports leggings. It was paired with a wide oversized sweatshirt that covered most of her ass, but Harry let out a breath anyway as he shamelessly observed her long legs. This was not helping his case at all.
He stayed surprisingly still as he watched Y/N walk over to the treadmill, looking around the room before she steps on it. Harry tilted his head when he noticed her furiously pushing some buttons, and she began running faster and faster.
Where did she learn to run so fast? Why is she running so fast? She must be relieving some frustrations. Heâd had days where his adrenaline overflowed as well.
He wanted to go up to her and talk to her, but he stopped himself before he could reach the door. He needed to finish this paperwork before he could do that. It would be great motivation to hurry the fuck up.
So, he did. He finished the paperwork in twenty minutes. It was embarrassing how little time it actually took now that he wasn't daydreaming about Y/N the entire time. It was even more embarrassing to realize that the only reason his daydreams were subsiding was because she was out there, a couple feet away.
Pathetic!
He kept shouting it at himself, yet he still couldnât seem to care that he was acting like a lovesick teenager. With a smile, he got up from his desk and walked into the training room, going straight for the treadmills.
His face faltered, however, at the sight of empty treadmills. Harry walked over to the one he last saw Y/N on, and his brows raised at the digits he read.
She ran 7 kilometers in thirty minutes? That was incredibly fast. He would have a lot of difficulty with keeping up, he wasn't even sure if he could keep up if he tried. Why didn't she ever mention she was a running miracle?
The sound of a familiar laugh made Harry's ears perk up, and his stomach fluttered as he turned around to look for Y/N. Whatever was fluttering in his stomach died on the spot, however, when he finally caught sight of Y/N... with another man.
She was standing with Alan, one of the personal trainers he hired. Harry had always been careful with his application process, and although he knew Alan was a good guy, he the urge to drop kick him to the ground was too strong to ignore.
How could he possibly have made her laugh like that? How funny did he have to be to make that sound fall from her lips? Harry scoffed to himself, shaking his head as he approached the two.
"Hey!" He conjured a smile for Y/N, which was easy to do, especially since her face lightened up at the sight of him. It told him she felt comfortable in his presence. The assurance that ran through his veins felt like being cuddled up in a warm blanket on a snowy winters' day.
"Harry, hi!" She greeted him, seeming to forget about Alan existence entirely until he greeted Harry. She finally blinked, taking her back to reality.
"Hey man." Alan greeted him casually. Harry just nodded in a response, a small 'hey' falling from his lips before turning his attention Y/N again.
"What are you doing here?" He asked, eyes twinkling with enthusiasm which he hoped would translate into his words as well. Y/N looked away for a second, cheeks turning red as she fiddled with her hands.
"Justâ blowing off some steam."
That was definitely a lie, Harry could tell. Not only because she was a terrible liar, but also because she had a habit of looking away and fiddling with stuff whenever she was scared to tell the truthâ wait, her hand...
A small stabbing ache filled Harry's chest as he noticed the wrapped bandage around Y/N's palm. He turned to Alan.
"Don't you have a two o'clock?"
It was a bit harsher than Harry usually was towards his employees. He was a stern boss, but still the kind to have a nice chat with. This was a bit out of character for him, but he couldnât care less about that now. He needed to know what happened, and Y/N would never be comfortable with telling the truth if Alan was still there.
It didn't take more than two seconds for Alan to realize what the true situation here was, raising his brows as he immediately took a step backâ literally and figuratively.
"Right. See you around, Y/N." He winked at her as he walked off. Harry clenched his jawâthe pile of profanities in his mind reserved for Alan slowly growingâand eyed the girl next to him, who gave his employee a small wave as he finally disappeared.
"So," Harry looked down at Y/N's hand. "Tell me, what's really going on?"
Y/N shrugged. "Nothing. Busy day at work, so I came here to blow off some steam."
Bullshit. He didn't buy into that being the whole story. She was definitely not telling him everything, but then again, they didn't know each other very well so it was completely valid for her not to bombard him with all her secrets. He wished he could just tell her that she could trust him.
"You ran really fast." He decided to go a different route. When she didn't necessarily respond to that, he added, "like, impressively fast."
"I just had a lot of extra energy to sweat out." Another excuse rolled off her tongue, and Harry decided to stop trying to coax a real answer out of her. He didn't want to make her uncomfortable, but he couldn't resist asking one last question, though.
"What happened to your hand?"
Y/N frowned, looking down at her hand, as if only just now remembering that it was visible to other people as well. The pained look on her face stirred a feeling of worry in Harry. He hated that he couldn't read her thoughts and make sure she was really okay.
"Just my regular clumsiness." She said, sounding strained.
"Y/N, you know you can talk to meâ"
"Hey! Are you going to Sophie's party?" She suddenly chimed in, cutting Harry off. He was so thrown off by the question that he couldn't think of anything clever enough to intercept her interruption.
"Uh, yes." He answered blankly.
"Oh thank God. I was hoping you'd say that, I was afraid I wasn't going to know anyone there." She smiled at him, and every other thought that Harry had had in the last hour suddenly flew out of the window. The corners of his mouth pulled up.
"Isn't Sophie inviting other colleagues as well?" He asked, still grinning from that smile she just gave him.
"Yes... but Sophie runs with the cool crowd."
Harry chuckled. "You make it sound like it's high school."
"That's because it is." She shrugged. "Sophie is with the popular kids, like a cheerleader."
"And what does that make you?" Harry tilted his head. Y/N tilted her head, thinking it over for a few seconds, before she answered:
"The audiovisual geek."
A snort escaped Harry's throat. He hadn't expected that answer at all, nor did he believe it to be true. An angel like Y/N being at the bottom of this food chain she was explaining? She was clearly undermining herself, once again.
"What? It's true!" She exclaimed, giggling softly as she watched Harry shake his head.
"Well, I'll be there, so at least you'll have one friendly face around."
"Good. But I'm warning you, I'm probably going to be clung to your side the entire night, so be prepared to get sick of me." She teased.
She teased. Was she flirting with him? By the way her lit up, doe eyes were looking at her, it kind of seemed like she was. She was especially bold today. Last week she had to chug half a water bottle after Harry touched her. He fought back the smirk that threatened to break out on his face as he answered, deciding to play into her cheekiness.
"That won't be a problem, love."
Y/N's smile faltered ever so slightly, her cheeks turning a rosy red much like they always did whenever Harry would say something like this. She swallowed, quickly eyeing at the ground before meeting Harry's gaze again, as if reminding herself to get herself together.
"Uhm, anyway, I justâ I had a question... about the self defense classes."
Harry had to keep himself from laughing at how quickly she had gotten flustered, and quirked up a brow to indicate she go on.
"I want to build some muscle. You know, gain some extra strength, like you said last week." She clarified. Harry hummed, crossing his arms. "Well, Alan was telling me that he's a personal trainer, and he has these plans for beginners. Do you think it would be a good idea if I did that?"
Abso-fucking-lutely NOT.
"No." He said, his selfishness getting ahead of him.
"Oh."
The sound was small, but Harry could hear the severe disappointment. Oh god, was an absolute monster. The poor angel was telling him about wanting to put in extra effort and here he was, rejecting her idea with harshness that wasn't even reserved for her. It was reserved for Alan, and his nose, which he was going to break soon.
"I think it'd be better if I make you a custom plan, one that'll match with the self defense classes." He elaborated. To be honest, that wasn't exactly the reason why he'd said no in the first place, but he simply did not want her to be around Alan if she could be around him.
"Oh, okay." Y/N responded, her eyes lit up at the sound of his promise. "If it's not too much trouble."
Harry scoffed. "Not at all, angel."
There it went, the nickname rolled off his tongue again. He couldn't help it, it was just so easy. Despite Harry's display of coolness, he eyed Y/N to see what her reaction was to the nickname. The last time, she'd ran away, literally. She basically sprinted to her apartment. Now, her bottom lip was stuck between her teeth as she fought a smile.
He could've sworn he was going into cardiac arrest. This was the best possible reaction to him calling her angel. It was also the worst, because now all Harry could focus on were those damn plump lips.
"I should probably get a gym membership then, huh?" She tried to fill the silence that fell when Harry stopped trying to keep the conversation going and decided to just admire her face instead.
"We can take care of that next week." He said, his eyes trailing down to her lips and back up. Y/N looked like a deer in headlights, her mouth opening ever so slightly to say something, but a loud voice interrupted the both of them.
"Y/N?!"
Both their heads whipped around to see Sophie standing in the door opening. Other people were looking at the crazy woman in the doorway as well, but Sophie didn't care as she marched towards Y/N and Harry.
"What are you doing here?"
"Oh, just blowing off some steam." She smiled, using the same excuse she'd told Harry. "Wanted to go for a run outside but it's pouring rain, so I thought this would be a better option."
Sophie nodded, not entirely convinced as her eyes darted between Y/N and Harry. The sole look on her face told Harry that he wasn't going to be let off the hook so easily as soon as Sophie got him alone, which would be soon, because Y/N was quick to say
"I'm gonna go... I've got some paperwork to finish at home." She stammered, taking a few steps towards the door.
"Of course, good luck sweetie. See you tomorrow?" Sophie's voice was soft like honey as she addressed her angel of a friend. Y/N nodded and gave her a hug before peeping a small 'bye' to Harry and rushing out the door.
Harry couldn't stop staring at her, not as she walked out the door, nor as she walked to her car. He felt like he'd waste her beauty if he didn't just look at her all the time. Like, if he didn't appreciate it enough now, if he didn't memorize all the details on her face, he would regret if she suddenly left his life.
"You are going to tell me what the fuck is going on right now." Sophie's voice cut through the thoughts that clouded his common sense. When he turned his head to her, her face was stern. A born lawyer.
"Nothing." Harry frowned at her, a bit frustrated with the fact that he was speaking the truth himself. He wished he had more to lie about other than his boyish crush on Y/N. Unfortunately, 'more' seemed to be quite out of reach.
"I wasn't born yesterday, Harry. Just tell me." Sophie put her hands on her hips, waiting for her to spill her guts. Instead, Harry shrugged. He had nothing to confess, because he and Y/N were just friends. Not even, they weren't even friends. Just trainer and trainee. For some reason, that realization stung a whole lot.
"I told you, nothing is going on." He growled. Sophie raised her brows; she'd clearly hit a nerve and the expression on her face read 'bingo!'. But she didn't push him, something Harry was expecting her to do.
"Listen, Harry. You're one of my dearest friends, and I'll always support your decisions, but I'm telling you right now... be careful." She warned him slowly, the serious tone of voice making Harry's ears perk up more at what she said.
"Y/N is a great girl, sweetest person I've ever met. But she's young, Harry, and she's only lived a very secluded life so far." She explained, and Harry clenched his jaw, heart straining at the confrontational tone. "If you're serious about her, great! I love her, she's amazing and I think you'd be very good for each other. But if you view this is a 'one and done' kind of situation, then I strongly suggest you pick someone else because she really likes you, I can see it."
The corner of his mouth quirked up. "You think she likes me?"
The next sound that left him was a yelp, flinching at Sophie's hand punching against his upper arm.
"Was that seriously the only thing you got from my speech?" She squinted her eyes at her friend. He only had that cheeky grin on his face.
"It was the part that stood out most." He wiggled his eyebrows, earning another slap against his arm. Harry hissed, moving away from Sophie. "God you hit hard, do you take self defense classes or something?"
"You have five seconds to disappear or I'll go full Kung Fu on your ass, Harry." Sophie grunted, pouting an accusatory finger at him.
"Actually, what I teach is not called Kung Fuâ" She corrected her, having too much fun with this situation. He wasn't able to stop himself from teasing his friend, mainly because he didn't want to. Harry was in a bit of a cheeky mood now that Sophie had told him Y/N liked him.
"Two more seconds Harry." She growled, rolling up her sleeves.
"And speaking of self defense, your punch was kind of weak. Have you been lifting those weights we talked aboutâ"
"Time's up!" Sophie exclaimed, and before she'd finished her sentence, Harry was running back to his office. He was in his office just in time to lock the door and laugh at the middle fingers Sophie was holding up for him. After a few minutes, she gave up and began to exercise, leaving Harry alone with his running mind.
"...because she really likes you, I can see it."Â
He was aware that he was grinning like an idiot as he replayed that sentence over and over in his head while creating a membership card for Y/N on his computer and sending the bill to his own bank account, but he didn't give a fuck. He didn't care if the whole word could see him giddy over this angel of his, in fact, he would only love to show her off.
She liked him. He couldn't believe it.
