Okay, so you like Velvet and Veneer? Well, if you get the chance, I want you to speak! TELL ME EVERYTHING!! I want you to give me headcannons please, as many as you can think of :)

AHHH! OK so I've never done anything like this but I put as many as I could think of. If I come up with anything else, I'll edit this and add it (or just make a new post) 

(lots of words ahead 💀)

General headcanons :

- They one hundred percent had the Barbie mugshot but with Velvet's deadly stare instead

- and Veneer made sure he looked good; they are taking a picture after all

- I think Velvet might be a little taller than Veneer but they're both taller than average

- never leaves the house without heels or platforms or both

- Veneer has must-be-wearing-a-crop-top syndrome. Can't be cured 😔 

- I'm sorry but they totally sang Circus by Britney Spears. That song is so V&V coded and has female and male vocals too 😩

- The sass is too hard to contain for this duo. Once a sly thought appears in their mind, they have to voice it (but I'm not complaining. They're iconic) 

- Veneer can be a little blunt or rude sometimes. I know ppl like to imagine him as just the caring and silly sibling but he did everything Velvet did. He just had morals that started to kick in once the threat of being a killer was thrown at him. 

(I mean did you see him nearly just toss Floyd down the toilet 💀)

- of course, I still think he is silly and kind and chooses to do so for a fair portion of the time but he's no stranger to being ignorant to most of his wrongdoings as well

- and I think they both have some trauma from practically killing Floyd. GET THEM THERAPYYY

- I think Velvet would like decorating and making things ✨Aesthetic✨

- like a little journal that she'd write her feelings in and then fill with beautiful stickers and photos (totally not a burn book....) 

- I think Poppy would love love looove to see Velvet's journal filled with beautiful stationary. She'd probably get her into scrapbooking and they'd make the cutest little displays or books just brimming with photos, cutouts, diagrams, and more. 

-Poppy and Viva can be a little overwhelming for Velvet at first but they'd totally become great gal pals and just chat all day. 

- and at first, Bergen features might be a little....alarming to Velvet but she'd learn to love Bridget just like Poppy does

-also both are invited to the broppy wedding... 👀

- she also of course become friends with the BroZone brothers but I get more into that below ⬇️

"Story" headcanons :

- So for Velvet, I think in the movie she was so blinded by her need for fame and luxury that she didn't notice how her family (Veneer) helped her and stuck around through all the things she said and did. This would separate her from being just a complete villain because I do believe that she can reform herself into something better

- In Jail, I think Velvet would really hate it and everyone around her. She probably wouldn't want to talk to Veneer at all at first but being alone might give her time to reflect on herself

- over a little time, I think she'd realize how Veneer was always there for her and understood her ways. She'd definitely come back around and they'd be back to being as close as they were before, maybe even more

-It would take some time for both Velvet and Veneer to adjust. 

- Veneer would dislike jail very much. He's so used to his life of luxury that I'm sure he'd be surprised by how little you get behind bars

- and with Velvet wanting to be alone, he would probably feel more alone than ever

- but he knows he did the right thing and even though prison sucks, he'd get through it

- Veneer would probably try to make friends with some of the people there but it is prison soo.... I'm not sure how well that would go. 

- if anyone came to visit him, he'd be so happy cuz jail is sooo boring and he'd finally get to yap away to somebody who knows him.

- you just know they'd be styling that prison jumpsuit the best the can

- can you sneak heels into jail??

- Velvet and Veneer are kinda "eye candy" for the criminals in jail and they might get targeted by those who are jealous or looking for a fight

-Velvet's not the only one with an attitude problem, Veneer can very well relay a comment or two that can easily get them into some trouble. He'll have to work on that along with his sister, learn how to correctly treat the people around them

I feel Veneer would also struggle with wanting perfection immediately but I think he'd really fall in love with dancing and this would help him keep up the determination. And he'd be really good at it too after some practice

- Knowing how good they can be if they put in the work would be a huge motivator too. Cuz they only stole Floyd's talent, not his voice. And because of this Velvet knows that she sounds good when she's at her peak in skill. They know that they can be amazing, they just have to work for it this time 

-Trying to become famous again for the right things would definitely be hard. They're reputation is awful

- BUT, I think Mount Rageous would give them a chance to prove themselves. Considering how all Rageons are obsessed with media, fame, and celebrities, I think they couldn't resist the bait of former popstars Velvet & Veneer coming back to the stage, this time with their own talent that they've truly worked hard to perfect.

“What’s this here?” he then asked, leaning over to reach for a handful of printed sheets of paper.

He hummed, resting his chin atop her head. “I’m not convinced at all. I don’t want to come home to a wife whose missing bits of herself, and the idea of you using a saw unassisted is scary as hell.”  

“How dare you cast such aspersions upon my DIY skills!” she gasped comically, flicking the papers in his hands with her finger a couple of times. “I’m working to plans! I measured, I even plotted out ground space, too!”  

Looking at them again, he concentrated, pointing at the measurements at the top of the page. “The roof will overhang the actual structure by four feet.” He couldn’t help but laugh at the sour face he was greeted with. “Stop scowling because you’re wrong. I’m helping you.”  

She finally smiled, realising that he was right and yes, she could likely do with a little assistance with her project. “Thank you." Kissing him, she went back to the pot upon the hob, picking up her phone and ordering all the timber needed from the nearest lumber yard, choosing the express option that would have the items delivered by noon the following day.  

When noon arrived, what began with good intentions after the delivery had been dropped off soon became a lesson in why couples, even those who rarely fought beyond stupid bickering, should never, ever attempt a joint DIY project.

papa archeron is called to war again but he became disabled fighting in the last war, and he'll most definitely die on the battlefield this time. feyre doesn't want him to go cuz like that's her dad (and for a more selfish reason, he's the only one that's been stopping her mother from marrying her off to lord rhysand because he's rich af) something something, feyre takes her dad's conscription papers and armor, the family horse, oh no nesta, elain what are you doing here. nesta helps cuz she knows she can't stop feyre, elains helps feyre cut her hair. they send her off, don't die ok. feyre gets to the military base, where we meet general tamlin, (with long hair and now feyre's wishing she didn't cut hers off but it would've probably made her look more feminine anyway) who has been put in charge of the new trainees to test his loyalties cuz his father ended up betraying their side. so he's training them really hard to prove himself, and feyre's singled out because she's significantly physically weaker than everyone else. something something, we get to the iconic climbing scene and she's the first to reach the top and take the arrow. something something, things are going great but oh no, the enemy has caught up with them, boom avalanche, oh no tamlin, he's fallen off the cliff, yay fyere saved him, but oh no feyre's injured and gasp she's a GIRL? tamlin's like hella mad cuz this reflects badly on him (also secretly sad cuz my boy was feeling feelings, there's homosexuality implied in the og movie cuz shang had feelings for mulan when he thought she was a boy sooooo) feyre's kicked out and she's trudging along the way back home when wait a minute, is that... tamlin's dad? oh no they all didn't die in the avalanche and now they're gonna kill the emperor. let's go horsie. something something, feyre makes it to the capital city (give name later), and damn it tamlin would you just listen, your dad is back. look up! oh no it's tamlin's dad and he's gonna to kill the emperor. ha! bet you wished you listened to feyre now, don't you. fight, fight! something something, face off between tam's dad and feyre

SEASON 3 BABYYYYYYYYYY (sobbing)

I have started season 3! Here are my thoughts that I am adding to everytime I pause the first episode

SO, everyone appears to still have their powers, well Gus does. But last time Luz was there (Season 1 finale maybe? I forget when) Luz was unable to use the glyphs, which makes sense. No world magic in the Human Universe, but the magic people have magic in their heart thing (??) so, it makes sense they can still do magic

AND I FORGOT GUS IS A HUMAN NERD! He had the whole human club thing at Hexside, and now he gets to witness the magic that is bubble wrap, amazing. ALSO, this is a Gus fanpage, HE HELPED LUZ'S MUM WASH THE DISHES! I love him.

Hunter and Luz bonding over not telling the others things in their secret things. Poor little kids just confused. They don't deserve this.

The Firebending Masters Re-watch

THIS EPISODE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE IT SO FUCKING MUCH!!!! AHHH!!!

Toph's story about learning earth-bending from the badger moles - the original earth-benders - was amazing! I just think that's so fucking cool, that animals were always the original benders, & that Toph learned that way. I Just Love This Show A Lot.

There is something so narratively beautiful in Zuko deciding to join the Avatar in a mission to restore peace & balance to the world & learning in the process that his fire-bending doesn't have to come from rage it can come from love - fire is life, not just destruction. This lesson is truly what Aang needed too, in order to learn fire-bending. This episode serves as such a beautiful contrast to the episode "The Deserter" where we see only the violent & destructive nature of fire, & how Zhao defeats himself with fire fueled by rage.

I have seen this episode referred to as a "power up" kinda thing for Zuko & Aang but that's not how I see it at all. I think that this episode was about learning the true nature of fire-bending, for both Zuko & Aang, who have only ever known about fire fueled by anger & created for the purpose of destruction. Both boys still had to actually practice their forms after this & continue learning & improving, with this very important newfound knowledge.

I also love that it was a dance. It's just kind of beautiful that in a show about the horrors of war & lost childhood & what it means to regain peace & balance, the answer to understanding the element that's been the symbol of the enemy this whole time is dancing, not fighting. I don't know, I just really like the message behind that. +1000 iconic behavior points for Zuko & Aang each for being deemed worthy by freaking DRAGONS. love that for them.

I'm just gonna pepper in also that this episode REALLY said Zukaang rights. I mean aside from the fact that they're narrative foils, former enemies working together to master the final element - fire - they literally dance surrounded by rainbow fire. C'mon.

And I mean, Zuko & Aang's dynamic is just great & fun in this episode. I cracked up when Aang was trying to get Zuko to share his flame & Zuko was like "quit cheating off me!" they're such....children lol (another great moment was "I don't care what anyone else says, Zuko, I think you're pretty smart" as well as "what do you want to do now?" "I don't know, contemplate our place in the universe?")

Also, this scene was hilarious & also meaningful - I really do love the writing of this show --

Zuko: Yeah. It's like the Sun, [He curls his hand into a fist.] but inside of you. Do you guys realize this?

Sun Warrior chief: [Smiling.] Well, our civilization is called the Sun Warriors ... so yeah. Zuko That's why my firebending was so weak before. Because for so many years, hunting you [Turns toward Aang as screen zooms out to show Aang.] was my drive ... it was my purpose. [Aang turns toward Zuko as well.] So when I joined you, I lost sight of my inner fire. But now, I have a new drive. [Cut to Zuko's face as screen zooms in.] I have to help you defeat my father and restore balance to the world.

The ending with Zuko & Aang demonstrating their moves & Sokka & Katara teasing them cracked me up. Another great episode!

Happy April!! Camp NaNoWriMo, the first month it actually feels like spring in Canada, my birthday month, and the start of a lot of new big goals!

I had a strange first quarter. Big wins. Big changes. Big grief. Most notably is that I’m back in my hometown after running around (and taking way too many flights) for a year, leaving behind a lot of people I love and miss.

Life responsibilities are coming up quick (ahhh taxes!), but let’s go through my writing & publishing goals!

BIG BOOK NEWS: - Got the cover for Deep Roots and revealed it in a mini-campaign! As always, it’s in my icon, on my project page, and is by shinirikaya (on most platforms). - My books are all up on Goodreads! - Deep Roots is open for eBook preorders! This is a surreal step. Hope to get more interest in it as I reveal the preorder goodies and get the paperback set up—lots of people have expressed wanting a paperback because of that beautiful cover. - Prints for the preorder goodies have been ordered. Now I impatiently wait…the cover to this post may or may not be a sneak peek… - Moved Queensmen to ScribbleHub and Tapas.io. Trying to remind myself over and over that this is a fun no-pressure project to write when I’m having a good, wordy day, but it’s hard to feel that way when I wonder if I should be strongly advertising it. hahhh :’)

SOCIAL MEDIA & PLATFORMS: - Set up and started using TikTok. I’ve lost some inspiration with it and, well, who knows what’ll happen with that bill, but for now it’s getting me that extra bit of attention. - Set up BookFunnel and moved Other People’s Heartache onto there for better distribution. The big one was that I really wanted to publish a short or novella and didn’t. This is symptomatic of an ongoing burnout problem I’ve had for a long time now, and I’m trying to work through it.

I missed entering a story in an anthology via a writing group—by literally one scene. I just couldn’t get it done and gave in.

Thankfully, the other anthology I wanted to submit to—with The Whumpy Printing Press!—extended their deadline by a month. This piece is far more inspiring to me than the other one and I hope to get the last couple scenes in the first draft done next week. Fingers crossed I can manage it.

- The big one: RELEASE DEEP ROOTS!! - In smaller steps: Finish edits by the end of April, release ARCs in May, and get it out by late May. Paperbacks need to be set up a couple weeks ahead of time for preorders, and I am not looking forward to messing with IngramSpark… - Get all the preorder goodies ready (so, receive the prints, finish drawing the stickers & order them, and hopefully finish a couple backstory novellas) - Submit to the Whumpy Printing Press anthology - Make significant progress on my current novella WIP and hopefully get her out in June. She’s connected to Deep Roots so that would feel pretty great to have her out in the world! - Revamp my website!!

I loved this episode so much!! The rescues were cool, we got TARLOS :DD AAAH, lol, none of the storylines I was scared of dragged on too long (or, you know, the beginning of them anyway), and we got to see our wonderful 126 (and co) again :DDD. It was amazing :)). Now, onto some individual parts!

XD Just kidding lol. They were all hilarious as always - Nancy catching Tommy in her flirting, lol, that was amazing xD - and had some great scenes/bits of scenes together :)). The very beginning and the Sharknado bit are great examples just off the top of my head lol! And of course, they were great at their jobs :D 🥰🥰❤️.

Also, the three amigos being disgusted in the background after that fairground kiss and Nancy being disgusted in the foreground? Amazing, lol.

Plus her panic and dread at the end was hilarious XD. He's already got that on his side - that he's NOT JULIUS XDD. Anyway, lol, it's gonna be hilarious, I think, and interesting to see where this goes 👀. Anyway! I love love love love LOVED them this episode 🥰🥰🥰🥰. They had so many great scenes 😭😭😭. I am a liiiittle but disappointed we didn't get a kiss, but eh, whatever :D. We all (well so many people anyway) said that that was too obvious, and that Iris wouldn't come back, and then that she probably wasn't the secret/it wasn't about her but she helped lead them to it or something (I considered that anyway and I know some other people did), and they PROVED. US. WRONG. XDDD. I did consider several times that maybe they would do that, it would be just obvious and crazy enough to be likely, but I didn't want it to be this so I didn't think about it much xDD.

And I mean, don't get me wrong, I loved the scenes in this episode, and I'm sure I'll continue to love this plot, I just wish it was something a little more fancy. And also that Carlos hadn't been married before lol. But, it was for kind of okayyy reasons, and good reasons to keep it - although Carlos, no offense, not to hurt you lol, but if had checked in sooner you would've known she didn't need the insurance anymore sooner xdd. But! Hey, it's in the past lol. Anyway, not my first choice for a secret, but I think it's really interesting and it'll be a fun (if not very literally) plotline :D.

And also just- AAAHHHHH THEY'RE GETTING MARRIED 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😭😭❤️❤️❤️🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰. Y'all I literally can't handle this 🥰🥰 :'DDD. It's t h e m 😍😍🥰. All the wedding planning stuff and what not - aGH, it's so cute :'DDD 😭😭🥰. I'm so excited and I love them so much :))).

I am still scared for this storyline though lol xD.

If I remember correctly it was also that "I love you" scene from the promo? I don't know, like I said I was busy freaking out lol, but I'm pretty sure it was :'DDDD 🥰🥰🥰. Amazing, I love them so much, I am not at all ready and also so ready for this season :DDD. Let's do this :'))).

Overall, I really loved this episode! I thought the rescues/calls were cool and interesting, I loved seeing everybody again, and the disaster was super cool and unique :DD. I'm so happy to have my babeys back 🥰🥰. All the group scenes were hilarious, the plots were interesting and set up more cool stuff for the future, and the tarlos content was top notch :'DD xD. I think Owen's will be the main drama, obviously, but I'm looking forward to seeing where Tommy's goes. And I'm super excited for TK and Carlos's :D. I think this episode was an amazing start to what's sure to be an awesome season!!

Another case of "I'm bored, so let's rank Disney Princess dresses with a template I found." Now, this template also includes the LA remake dresses as well but to be honest, outside of Jasmine's dresses, I don't really care for the costuming in the remakes. Yes, that includes the big poofy Cinderella dress, y'know the one. Unpopular opinion: I think Cinderella (2015) while being the best remake, it is also incredibly boring and does not do service to the story and character that I love so much.

Now, let's go into my deeper thoughts on the ranking. Opinions under the cut.

Nevermind, THESE ARE THE MOST PERFECT DRESSES EVER

Aurora's Blue dress: surprise, surprise, this is the first one. Mainly as a #TeamBlueDress member, but I just think the blue compliments Aurora's gold locks and skin tone better than the pink. Plus she wears the blue for longer in the movie anyway!

Anna's Birthday dress: This is partly my Anna bias, but I really like this dress. Sunflowers are a perfect flower for Anna with all its meanings. Loyalty, devotion, positivity, strength, resilience, etc. All these traits encapsulate Anna to a T. Plus I love the colors in the dress so incredibly much. This is probably my favorite Anna look of all time; I will collect every version of this dress that I can.

Cinderella's Silver ballgown: The gown is silver, fight me. Anyway, I love this dress so incredibly much. I love the sleeves, her elegant gloves, and the way the skirt twirls, AHHH. When I was a kid, I wanted so badly to wear the costume version of the dress that my cousins had, but it didn't fit me. So, I'll just love it from afar.

Ariel's Sparkling Silver dress: The moment is iconic and the dress itself is just plain gorgeous. I wish they held onto it longer than a few seconds.

Anna's Coronation(?) as Queen dress: Now, I don't think the scene is her coronation, as it makes no sense why Elsa wasn't there, but I don't know what else to call this. Now, I really love Anna's dress at the end of the movie. She looks so elegant and mature, frankly it just makes her look so much older. The colors are rich and suit her color scheme really well. And her crown?! I fucking love that crown, I need to get it someday!

Anna's Cream Autumn dress: Look, I'm an Anna stan, it's not my fault that she has such beautiful dresses and I'm naturally drawn to them! Anyway, I love this dress so much. I like the color on Anna, the jacket is really pretty and the look overall is comfy yet formal. A very important combination for Anna, in my opinion at least.

Anna's Coronation dress: probably my second favorite Anna dress from the first movie. Believe it or not, I actually like her outfits in the second movie better, despite that the first movie is my favorite film of all time. But in terms of this dress, it feels like a very good way to showcase Anna's personality. It's loose, bouncy, and it generally looks pretty comfy for such a formal dress. I also love the hairstyle and the use of this shade of green throughout the look. Anna's main color is green and I would say it's mainly because of her coronation dress.

Anna's "End of Movie" dress: And here's my favorite dress that she wears in the first movie. Is it just a recolor of her dress from DYWBAS? Yes. Do I care? NO. That shade of green is perfect for Anna and I like how she kinda resembles a plant in it. Like she's growing into her new life in Arendelle now that the gates are open.

All Time Favorites - CANNIT BEAT

Aurora's Peasant Dress: Look, I like medieval dresses. And I think Aurora's dress here is a great showcase of the time period she is from. Plus I think the more mute colors in the gown do a good job of letting her beauty (the thing she's KNOWN FOR) shine through. I also like the black headband in her hair; I actually like it more than her princess tiara. Overall, a pretty cute look and I'll be damned if someone slanders it.

Rapunzel's Main Dress: I've always loved this dress of Rapunzel's. I like how the purples and pinks compliment her golden hair, and I like the smaller details. Such as the slight corset look to the front of it and the slight lace along the collar. Put simply, it's pretty. But I prefer it in 3D; I don't like the flat colors of it in the series.

Moana's Wayfinder Dress: Look, I don't like Moana or her movie very much. But damn, do I love both of her dresses. The flower crown is my favorite part. The reds and oranges are just perfect. Actually, those colors actually really pop against the blue ocean. That was a good choice to not have her wear any blue to match the ocean.

Elsa's Riding Uniform: I don't know what else to call this, but I love this look of hers so much. In fact, I still remember how excited I was to see the F2 teaser where she pulls all that clothing off and ties her hair up. It makes her look determined and by not wearing so much, it makes her swimming through the water easier. If there's any outfit for her to wear while taming the Water Spirit, it's this one.

Anna's Travelling Look, Part 2: I like this one better than the first movie, but I like how it pays tribute to it at the same time. She honestly looks like she is actually prepared and ready to travel, as well as looks warm for the colder weather. I like how the more spontaneous younger sister is the sensible one on the trip by packing a bag of supplies XD

Belle's Blue Dress: If I'm being honest, I like how real this whole outfit feels. It looks comfortable, it looks realistic and lived in. The apron is a nice touch and while we never see the blue dress on its own, I'm sure I'd actually wear it irl.

Tiana's Waitress Uniform: Looking at this and the previous entry side by side, they kinda look the same, but I still like her uniform. The yellow compliments her dark skin well and I like how she has the sleeves rolled up, that way it's easier to carry things.

Wendy's Pajamas: Now, I am NOT a nightgown person, never have been to be honest, but I like Wendy's nightgown. It's a nice shade of blue, I like the little ribbon around her waist, and her bow is the icing on the cake. She's cute, what can I say?

Elsa's Green Dress: Spoiler alert, I like this dress better than both of her main blue ones. I think that shade of green looks great with her pale skin and it actually brings out the slight pink pigment as well. The flowers are a nice touch as well. This is also probably my favorite cape of hers as well, as it's a lot more subtle compared to her others.

Elsa's Spirit Dress: I'll always like this one, even if the overuse of it in fanart is starting to kill that for me. I like how her hair is down and that it kinda comes with her longggg cape and how the different crystals add a bit of color to the white dress. The only thing that I don't entirely like about it is the points on the collar. They look childish to me, which doesn't feel like something the mature Elsa would choose.

Elsa's purple Autumn dress: I'm not entirely sure what shade this is, but I love it nonetheless. I like how slimming it is, the off-shoulder action reminds me of her Frozen Fever dress, and it goes really well with the Autumnal colors of the season. (Maybe slightly better than Anna's?)

Rapunzel's "The End" dress: I like how this one is somehow more regal yet simpler version of her main dress. The color is really nice on Rapunzel and the slight plainness of it really allows for her short hair to shine. And I love it.

Elsa's pajamas: Is it too elegant for sleeping? Honestly, yeah, it is. But boy is it pretty! I love how sparkly it is and I love that color on Elsa. When promotion was coming out for Frozen 2, I remember being so happy that Elsa was not only getting new looks, but they were putting her in other colors! Like, I get it, she's the Snow Queen. But blues wash her out and that has ALWAYS bothered me.

Mulan's Armor: The armor is the wrong color in the picture for some reason, but I still like it either way. It does a good job of hiding and protecting her. And I appreciate that her looking so good in the armor has made her a genderfluid or nonbinary icon.

Anna's Travelling Look, Part 1: I honestly like this look of hers better than most. So many complain about how it doesn't look like it would actually keep her warm, BUT, you guys do realize it was all Oaken had in stock right? That's kinda the point? Anyways, I like the different colors of this look. I like the cloak, I like the dress, and I like the Bunad cap that she wears for most of it. My one complaint is I wish the cap and the cape weren't pink. I've edited it to be brown before and it honestly looks way better. Or it could've been green, as that is a bigger part of Anna's color scheme than the pink is.

Belle's Pink Dress (both with/without cloak): I am so excited that this look is this year's Holiday Disney Doll, as it's a beautiful design! The pink is really pretty against Belle's brown hair and the bow is a great addition. And the cuffs to the sleeves?! Ah, I fucking love it. As for the cloak, it's a cherry on top to the look. It's a nice shade of red and I love the white fur lining.

Ariel's Pink Dress: The pink makes sense for the time the movie was made in, even though I would've chosen a different shade maybe? I love the hairpiece holding Ariel's hair in place, as it looks like it came with the dress. I also like the ruffles of the dress a lot.

Moana's "Normal" Look: I'm not really going to say much about this one except for I like the colors and that it's probably one of the nicest Disney Princess dresses out there.

Elsa's Coronation Dress: I actually like this look better without the cape, when she's just running around on the mountain. But I like the cape a lot, with the gem clip holding it in place and the Arendelle crocus being embroidered into it. At the same time, however, it does feel a bit stuffy, which is the point at least.

Rapunzel's Wedding Dress: This is only here because of the veil. That veil is everything. And I usually hate wedding veils. But having it be as long as her hair used to be was a great touch. The dress itself is still nice, but it's just a recolor of her end of movie dress.

Cinderella's "Scullery Maid" Dress: I like how this looks a lot more cohesive than you'd think it would be. Do I wish they were actually rags? A little bit. But I like the shade of brown and blue used, the apron is nice, and Cinderella's hair is nice whether it's pulled up by a scarf or tied up via bow.

Elsa's Christmas Dress: I don't know why Anna's dress from OFA wasn't included, but I can overlook it because I do like Elsa's dress a little bit more. I love this cape. I love the fur trim so much. The shade of blue is better in my opinion, and overall, a very beautiful dress. But I do wish the fur trim was used a little bit more and they could've given her hair a bit of holiday cheer like they do for Anna.

Aurora's Pink Dress: I like the blue more. Enough said. The way Disney markets the pink dress in every other form aside from the parks is also the wrong shade of pink anyway, so it annoys me more.

Tiana's Green Dress: It's well designed, I'll give it that. But it doesn't feel like Tiana's style. It's too big, it's too poofy. And the lilypad on her the side of her dress? Nope, I don't like it.

Elsa's "Let it Go" Dress: Alright, we've reached the one that has been bugging me for almost 11 years. I have NEVER liked this dress. It's the wrong shade of blue. It looks way too freaking modern. Why does the corset look like it's covered in sequins?! I love the transformation, it is iconic, but the dress itself? Nope, I don't like it. Literally every other dress Elsa has is better than this. And I hate how so many of them are designed to resemble this one, yet look so much better!

Merida's Main Dress: I like this better than her more "proper" dress, and I like the shade of green they use, but it's just kinda meh to me. I just wish they could've given it one more detail to make it better, or at least, not as boring.

Belle's Gold Ballgown: Hear me out. I like the ballgown, I love watching it move onscreen. But I wish it looked more gold, or just use a different color instead. As it stands, it's just not my favorite.

Anna's Pajamas: That picture does her so dirty. It's the wrong shade of green in the picture and I hate it. But anyways, it's nice. Not much more to say, it's just nice. I like the green and the little bow, but having her hair in braids makes me miss the realism of her iconic bedhead in the first movie.

Mulan's Promotional Dress: I cannot remember for the life of me where this dress came from. Is it only for promotional material? Because I don't remember this one in the movie. Now, I like the greens and yellow, with the slight red. But this one is boring. Literally, all my rankings of Mulan's dresses are low and her armor is ranked higher. Why is that?!

Alice's Dress: It's cute and I like how poofy it is for somewhat comedic purposes. But I don't really care for this movie, so I don't have much of an opinion on it.

Elsa's Travelling Dress: I do think this one is way better compared to the Let it Go dress, but it's still not my favorite. The cape is better, but it's not very noticeable. Elsa doesn't look prepared for adventure, not like Anna. Elsa deserves better.

Jasmine's Basic Look: She's a pants girlie and I love that for her. But it is also just really boring.

Snow White's Dress: I didn't really know where to put Snow. I like the more pale tones in the movie, not the ones they use in promotional material. I like the top, but the bottom is just kinda plain. But it's better than the one set for the live action remake.

Pocahontas's Look: This one is a little bit harder for me to talk about. Pocahontas is pretty overtly sexualized in this movie and it's a bit uncomfortable. She looks nice, and I've always liked her necklace. But I don't know what else to say.

Tiana's Blue Dress: It's sparkly and I like it. But neither of Tiana's "marketable" dresses really feel like her. They both feel like she's wearing costumes. I liked the one that she wore before putting the blue one on after it got ruined. At least with the costumey feeling, it makes sense as she is at a costume party, but still.

I've never cared that much for Mulan's hanfu, if I'm being honest. I know the intention is that it doesn't feel like her, but it doesn't feel like her. It's too formal, too stiff. And looking at real hanfus makes me go "Disney, you fucked up. You screwed over one of your best protagonists big time." Even if they couldn't go all out, they could've done better.

Merida's Formal Dress: I was happy when this ugly thing got destroyed. It doesn't feel like Merida and Elinor is awful for putting her in it. That stupid hood thing pisses me off. I like the tiara, though.

Ariel's Sail Dress: This one is a joke, I know, but I can't help thinking about how slimy that ripped sail must be from being washed up on the beach.

Jasmine's Disguise: I like her disguise, but the one that she wears in the LA movie is just more detailed. Any of Jasmine's costumes in the LA is way better.

Ariel's Beach Waves: I know why they changed it for promotional purposes, but it doesn't mean I have to like it. They could've used one of her dresses from the second movie if they wanted to change it so much!

Jasmine's Seductress (yikes) Outfit: It's her normal outfit recolored with some gold elements. Jafar is creepy for putting this on her and yuck.

Why did they create this?!

Cinderella's Pink Dress: This could've worked, in theory. I love how happy she looked to be wearing it, in honor of her mother and the mice friends that made it for her. But it just-Whyyyy! It was better on the hanger! (But it's better than the pink dress Lily wore in the LA)

Snow White's Rags: Now this is what I meant when I said earlier that Cinderella's rags should be more ragged. But it does not mean I like it. Snow looks adorable in it, but it makes you hate the Evil Queen for putting her in it.

Ariel's Wedding Dress: I get it, it's super 80s. But I don't like 80s fashion! I never have. I hate how poofy the sleeves are and the veil is ugh. I've seen recolored versions of her pink dress and those look way better!
