Speaking of dropping tanks

I was just thinking about fliers grabbing grounders and jetting them up into the atmosphere and dropping them to kill them. Or flying up to drop them on something rigid or sharp jutting out of the ground to impale them.

It would come in handy with bigger grounders that they just couldn't win hand to hand or they could just pick off those little mechs like hawks.

//before i jump into my reply to auron i just wanted to share these absolutely heartwarming moments i had with some of the babies today

so i have my work son and he saw me through the window of the classroom door. so he starts yelling and bouncing (while standing!!) and my coworker gestures to him so i can see him. so i stand in the hall making silly faces and bouncing with him and then he crawls over to the door while yelling and grinning for me to come in and say hi to him

of course i did that’s not even a question

the next was at the end of the day when I was covering in the other infant room and my best friend just would not stop crying. this baby always smiles when she sees me and just coos her little heart out. but she’s teething, so now almost nothing can console her. we tried giving her her bottle, a cold teething toy, nothing was working. i stood her feet on my belly and just hugged her to me and just said “best friend, i know you’re going through some stuff right now, just let it out” and she quieted for a few moments. once the screaming started back up, i eventually swaddled her and tried to just bounce her, she was not having it, so i get up and i walk around the classroom and she finally calms enough that i can finish giving her her bottle, and we eventually got to a place where i could sit and hold her and just pat her back/bottom and just talk quietly to her. 

idk if any of yall have ever experienced that, but that’s a power move that goes unacknowledged. picking up a screaming baby and calming them without losing your cool. having babies who don’t see you all that often still get so excited when they do see you. toddlers who used to cry if they saw you approaching them after they’ve been reunited with mom after a day at school (very emotional/sensitive, highly attached), who now play-chase you down the halls away from their mom and laughing the whole way. other toddlers who split into smiles and cuddle into a hug when they’re having a rough morning and don’t want to leave dad but see you there (who also run up to you the moment you enter the classroom and hug you tight and tell you they miss you).

i’m always floored by babies and kids and just how fucking loving they are even when they’re being shits.

For some reason I want a scenario where Noctis and Ace meet in a dream since they’re both previewed to be sleeping/napping a lot compared to their companions. Maybe they can talk about war and they give each other advice or something? In the waking world they think it’s their subconscious or something but it’s really another person from another world.
