You tried to call Jason to fix it four times over the span of an hour after he was already supposed to be home, but the calls rang out each time. You were worried sick about him and freezing to death with no heater.

When he walked into your freezing apartment an hour and a half after he was supposed to, you weren't exactly happy (even if you were so relieved you couldn't form words). Especially after you saw his cracked helmet. He explained to you that his helmet got cracked in a fight and he didn’t think to look at his phone during the hour long debrief in the batcave.

At first, you were a little pissed off, but truthfully it was earlier's fear talking. The fear that something happened and he wasn't coming home and you were worried about the stupid AC while he was out there probably dying in a dark alley somewhere-.

Now, he has you wrapped up in blankets against his chest. He kisses the crown of your head. "I didn’t mean to make you worry."

He runs his finger through your hair and you sigh. "I know. I'm not really mad at you. I was just worried about you."

Masterlist

Being a bargaining chip had been her purpose. The only reason she was born. In the possibility some kind of treaty needed to be made, she would be there.

So she learned how to be perfect. How to look the part her father needed her to. Played the game that everyone in this line of work plays.

Regardless of if everything in her mind is screaming to back out and run away as they sign the papers. She's being married off to not just one man, but two men who she doesn't know. They know each other. They'd supposedly been in her situation and have been married for a while already. They look at her with Kindess. A Dutch named Max and a Monegasque names Charles. A sympathy maybe only They can share with her.

She closes herself off the second they are alone. She is nothing more then a possession. A piece on the board for if things go wrong. These two don't actually want her and they already have each other. Why is she even here? Because of some treaty?

She ignores them. Keeps her distance. Pretends they don't exist. All the while watching the same move over and over again when they aren't around to hear.

Beauty and the Beast is her comfort movie. The one consistent in her life apart violence and backwards politics. She's not sure where it came from, the love for this movie. Maybe it's the comfort she finds in knowing she's not the only one locked away for some underlying purpose.

Max and Charles, to their credit, attempt to make am effort while not scaring her further away. They offer food at her door when she doesn't want to come out. They make attempts to show her affection. They give her space when she needs and don't push for more them she is willing to give.

Max and Charles weren't supposed to be home until later. Out on 'buisness' which code for something probably illegal. Which means, she wraps herself up in a blanket and makes her way to the television. She puts on her comfort movie and promptly passes out after a having a sleepless night in her own bed.

When the two males return, they find her asleep with the movie long forgotten. They don't move her, but instead restart the film. They stay with her until she wakes.

The shock hits first and then something like bewilderment follows. She eats with them after that and even keeps up some light conversation.

They tell her that the situation isn't ideal, but they made the most of it and intend on doing the same with her. They comfort and hold. They keep her safe when she needs it. They spoil her when she lets them.

But most importantly, they watch the same movie with her over and over again.

On this particular occasion, she was coming home from a visit with her father. The man who basically abandoned her with unfamiliar men for the entirety of her life. It left her feeling drained and insecure. She had been prepared for this her entire life and somehow she wasn't treating Max and Charles like she knows a good wife should.

She collapses on the couch. She pays no attention to anything else and just sobs. You'd think she was injured. Maybe even dying. Though this certainly felt like death. The idea that Max and Charles will leave her one day, send her back to her father who will find some other way to use her. It makes her stomach churn.

The two males take in the scene before them. Charles hastily fumbles for the the remote and sets up the movie they've watched almost everyday for a month now. He it man enough to admit its grown on him and he has the lyrics of every song memorized and working on turning it into piano music. Max sets about getting the female upright. She goes unwilling and ends up with her head in Max's lap.

"liefde, what's got you in tears?" Max makes an attempt at drying her tears only for more to show up.

She hiccups a few times. "I'm not a good enough wife, but I'll do better I promise. Just, please, don't send me back."

Charles joins the on the couch and runs nimble fingers along her skin. "Did something happen with your father to make you think that?"

"He used to make me pretend to be a wife to some of the men who work for him." Her eyes get cloudy thinking back to the memories. Her childhood was not one she looks back at fondly. "I just want to be enough."

"Dry your tears." Max starts before she can spiral again. "It's okay, baby, you're safe here with us. You're trying your best, and we know this kind of situation isn't easy. Just let us show you we care, yes?"

She looks up to see the movie ready to be played. The soft music in the background instantly calms her. "You don't mind?"

"We can watch the same movie for the millionth time, amour." Charles laughs softly when he sees her smile. "It really is a good movie."

"Charles is jealous." Max smirks playfully. 

A genuinepang of curiosity hits her. "Of who?"

"Belle, because I'm the beast and he's obviously Gaston."

"Why am I Gaston?!"

"Because you wear red all the time, duh."

synopsis: as requested, my thoughts abt t4t with oscar!

author's note: vinnie omg this has sparked so many ideas for this! i fell asleep before i could answer it last night but im back at and now my thoughts are consumed. as always, request are open so feel free to send as many as you want, as long as they follow guidelines!

first thing that came to mind was when you both came out to each other. like neither one of you expected it and were shocked (in a good way) to find out. went out for a little dinner date after with goofy grins

i think when one of you is dysphoric, the other usually gets slightly dysphoric as well, just not as bad. but then it turns into a lazy day full of watching movies and cuddles and junk food

you borrow each other's clothes more than you wear your own cuz it makes you feel better to wear them (you both refuse to start buying those types of clothes and continue to steal each others)

your parents love him and his parents love you. it makes both sides equally happy and excited that you both found someone that knows the process and makes you guys happy

dates usually aren't super extravagant but small, thoughtful ones. like if one of you wants to stay home, you order in from their favorite place. if one of you guys wants to go to a museum or something, you go to the museum

you cook mainly because i feel like oscar would burn everything down (didn't he use the oven to dry his clothes?)

but i also feel like oscar can bake like good ass cookies and that's about it. he tried brownies and cakes and other baked goods but they all ended up burnt

anything the other needs help with, whether with hormones or getting them anything they need, you guys with always do it

kinda like how oscar is already, but he doesn't post too much about your relationship as he wants to keep things private but not a secret just because he doesn't like the press asking personal questions

sometimes you both just sit in a comfortable silence going about your task, occasionally saying a thing or two

just based off the video with lando and him, oscar's love language i feel is acts of service or words of affirmation while i would feel like he would have a boyfriend who's love language is physical touch or gift giving (idk i think those mash well)

you and hattie are 1000% besties. when you and oscar go visit them, you and her are basically gossiping the whole time and it annoys oscar to no end bc he just wants to spend time with his boyfriend but his sister keeps stealing him :(

you both lovingly tease him about it and you make it up to him by covering his face in kisses, making him smile sweetly

nicole absolutely adores you and welcomed you into the family with open arms so fast you could barely blink

if you ever do get i pet, i definitely believe it would be an orange cat (lando calls the cat papaya even though that's not it's name)

when you go to races, you're bombarded with press asking abt the relationship but you politely decline to speak and hurry to catch up with oscar

if he gets nervous before a race, i feel like he would start to get dysphoric and put himself down, which you then distract him before he gets into the car so he forgets about it (works every single time)

always holding hands when you are out and about

I will have 14 slots available for requests. Which, is much less than last time, but I don't have time to do a month full of requests, and Valetine's day is the 14th sooo, yeah. BUT, length will be the same as December, 1000-2000 words.

Requests can be anything (again)! Just ask that they relate to Valentine's in some way, be that directly or indirectly and of course DCA-related.

As most know I am an X reader writer, but as long as my general request rules are followed, I don't mind writing for ocs, canon, etc. 

fair warning though for the above, I am not familar at all with TSAMS and if you DO have a specific au, I will do my BEST to be accurate but cannot guarentee beyond that

For those who don't know my rules, no nsfw (suggestive is fine!), and if you want something specific, be specific. Besides that, it's fair game, request what you want!

Potential Issues & Schedule

If there is overlap between request ideas, they will be combined in some manner of speaking (if possible). If needed, I will reach out to you about adjusting ideas or the likes, though I don't forsee this happening. This would occur if for example, someone wants gift shopping with Sun with their oc, and someone else wants the same thing with a reader-insert. Whoever requested second would be who I reach out to.

I will be starting writing as soon as I get the first request, and since I'm in classes again now, I need to prepare as much as I can ahead of time so to not worry about getting behind. SO, requests will be open from today (January 18th) until next week January 25th. I know it's a short timeslot, but I need time haha 😅

To keep things organized, please request in the comments of this post. This also helps to potentially keep from overlap in requests, as you'll be able to see what else has already been requested. If you request in my ask box or such it'll make things a bit more difficult, so please avoid that.

You’ve worked with Xeno countless times, on different assignments, experiments, and whatever else people at NASA do

Though it still took awhile for you to meet Stanley

I believe Xeno would keep his personal life to himself, keeping the line between his life and work very bolded

But one day he invited you to his house to work on some thing together or because he’s let you cross that line 

You both chat for a while with some tea and treats when some grumpyass soldier barges through the front door 

“Guess what they’re doin now Xeno??? They’re cutting down spending for my branch!! Not only that but my men are leaving left and right! That’s some utter bull-“ 

Stanley pauses when he sees you, his eyes in complete awe at the sight of you 

“Oh um pardon me…” he reaches his hand out for a handshake, “Lieutenant Stanley Snyder, it’s a pleasure to meet you. I apologize for that outburst.”

You giggle and introduce yourself as well, “it’s ok Lieutenant Snyder, the government doesn’t treat us that nicely at NASA either”

“Please, just call me Stanley”

Xeno gets the vibe REAL QUICK

He’ll quickly say something like, “oh I need to use the restroom,” or “I’ll go prepare more tea” and just leaves you with Stanley 

After that you’ll see Stanley appear around the office more and more

The alley smelled like blood. Not fresh, not clean—old and rotting, a scent that clung to the damp brick walls and the cracked pavement beneath your feet. It mixed with the sharp sting of antiseptic and the metallic tang of something you refused to name.

And yet, Ronin stood beside you, hands in the pockets of his coat, breathing it in like it was the crisp night air.

“Ahh,” he sighed, tilting his head back. “Smells like home.”

You shot him a look, not for the first time questioning how the fuck you ended up here. Then again, you already knew.

You had been saving up, researching, checking waitlists—months, years of hoping, of being told to wait, of people telling you what you already knew about yourself. The gatekeeping, the insurance nightmares, the sheer impossibility of it all. And then—

Then there was Ronin.

He had laughed when you told him your struggle, like it was the funniest joke he’d ever heard. You had been two seconds away from decking him when he’d draped an arm over your shoulder, leaned in close, and whispered in your ear—

“Babe, you should’ve come to me sooner. I know a guy.” And that’s how you ended up here. Ronin wasn’t lying. He did know a guy. He knew exactly where to go. He had strutted through the city’s underbelly like he owned the place, winking at men who looked like they had body parts in their freezers, nodding at surgeons whose credentials were dubious at best. He walked you straight to the back alley butcher he swore by, the one who had carved him into the shape he wanted to be.

"You're gonna owe me for this, y'know."

Ronin’s voice was all casual malice, like he was commenting on the weather instead of leading you down a dimly lit alley that reeked of piss and cigarette smoke. The neon lights of a rundown tattoo shop buzzed overhead, casting jagged shadows along the cracked pavement. He walked like he owned the place, one hand shoved into the pocket of his blood-stained hoodie, the other gesturing lazily at the rusted metal door in front of you.

"Hope you're not squeamish," he added, grinning sharp. "Or if you are, hope you like painkillers. The good shit costs extra, but since I'm so fuckin' generous, I made sure you'd get a little sumthin’."

You swallowed hard. Your ribs still ached from binding too long, from carrying the weight of something that was never meant to be there. Your whole life had been leading to this moment, and Ronin—fucking Ronin—was the one making it happen.

“Why are you doing this?” you asked, crossing your arms over your chest like it still mattered.

Ronin clicked his tongue and draped an arm over your shoulders, pulling you in like you were some fresh-faced recruit in his little game. His touch was warm, grounding in a way you didn’t want to admit.

"Cuz I like you," he purred, voice all honeyed menace. "And if I like you, that means you get nice things. ‘Course, that also means you owe me, but we’ll worry about that later."

His fingers curled around the nape of your neck for just a second before he let go, shoving the door open with a grand sweep of his hand.

"Welcome to Hell."

The "clinic" was little more than a dingy back room behind an abandoned massage parlor, the kind of place where dreams were bought in cash and sterilization was highly negotiable. A single operating table sat under harsh fluorescent lights, the floor sticky with something you didn’t want to name. The doctor—if you could call him that—was an older man with nicotine-stained fingers and a perpetual scowl.

The "surgeon" looked up, a wiry man with sunken eyes and a cigarette dangling from his lips. His gloved hands were stained—hopefully ink, but you weren’t about to ask.

“Well, well,” he rasped, looking you over. “A friend of the Devil’s?”

Ronin threw an arm around your shoulders. “More than a friend, doc. A project. This one needs your best work.”

The man snorted but gestured to the chair. “You know the drill. Cash up front.”

Ronin didn’t even hesitate. He pulled a thick wad of cash from his pocket, tossed it onto the tray. Where the hell had he gotten it? Probably best not to ask.

"You vouch for them?"" the man grunted, lighting up a cigarette."

Ronin grinned, showing teeth. "I vouch so hard, doc. This one's mine, like I said. so you better make it nice. Or else."

The doc barely blinked, just exhaled a cloud of smoke and waved you toward the table. "Shirt off. Lay down. Try not to die on me."

Ronin leaned against the wall, watching you with a lazy kind of amusement as you hesitated.

"Nervous?" he taunted.

"Shut up," you shot back, yanking your shirt over your head.

Ronin’s smirk didn’t falter, but something in his eyes shifted—something sharp and knowing. He’d been here before. Laid on that same table. Let this same old bastard carve him open and put him back together. He didn’t say it, but you could feel it.

"Good," he murmured. "Means it’s real."

The painkillers barely dulled the sensation. Ronin had warned you, but nothing could really prepare you for the sheer rawness of it. The pull of scalpels. The pressure of hands inside your skin. The sound of your own body being reshaped. You drifted in and out, somewhere between agony and euphoria.

And Ronin was there.

He didn’t leave.

Sat in the corner, flipping a knife between his fingers, making casual conversation with the doc like this was just another Tuesday.

“Y’know, I was gonna kill a guy today,” he mused, tilting his head like a cat playing with a mouse. “But then this came up, and I figured, eh, murder can wait.”

The doc grunted. "Touching."

"Right?" Ronin flashed you a grin. "See how important you are to me?"

You tried to roll your eyes, but it was hard when your body felt like wet cement.

You floated in and out, barely registering voices, hands, movement. You thought you heard Ronin humming, some sweet little tune that didn’t match the circumstances at all. You thought you felt his fingers ghost over your forehead, pushing your hair back. Maybe it was a dream.

Maybe it wasn’t.

A cot creaked beneath you, and the weight of bandages wrapped around your chest kept you anchored to reality.

Everything hurt. Not in a bad way. No, this pain was right.

You weren’t trapped anymore.

You weren’t waiting anymore.

Ronin was sitting on the floor beside you, legs stretched out, twirling a knife between his fingers like he had nothing better to do. He glanced up when you groaned, his grin slow and wicked.

“There he is,” he said, voice dripping with something you couldn’t quite name. “How’s my favorite little surgery boy feelin’?”

You licked your lips. “Like I got hit by a truck.”

Ronin snorted. “Nah, babe, trust me, truck’s worse. I’d know.”

You tried to sit up, but a sharp pull in your chest stopped you. Ronin was up in an instant, hands hovering, but not touching, watching carefully.

“Easy there,” he murmured. “Don’t go tearing my money’s worth.”

You rolled your eyes. “Your money?”

He smirked. “Told ya, babe. You should’ve come to me sooner.”

Something in his expression softened then, just for a second, so fleeting you could’ve imagined it. But his fingers twitched, and his gaze flickered down to your bandages like he was checking to make sure you were still whole.

Like he was making sure you were still you.

The realization sat heavy between you, unspoken. Ronin didn’t do things unless they benefited him. But he had done this for you.

For a second, you wondered why.

Then he clapped his hands together, shattering the moment.

“Alright, alright, enough sentimental bullshit,” he grinned. “You gotta rest, heal up."

You woke up in a motel room that smelled like cheap liquor and blood—probably Ronin’s, though it was hard to tell. Your chest was wrapped tight, fresh gauze stark against your skin. Moving hurt, but it was a good hurt, a hurt that felt like freedom.

"Look who’s alive," Ronin drawled from his perch on the windowsill, flipping a butterfly knife open and closed in lazy motions. "Thought for a second you were gonna punk out on me. Would've been real inconvenient."

You groaned, shifting carefully. "You stayed?"

"’Course I did." He hopped down, crouching next to the bed with a shit-eating grin. "Ain’t every day I help someone reconstruct themselves. Kinda poetic, don’tcha think?"

You stared at him, at the way his eyes flicked over you—not in judgment, not in pity, but in something dangerously close to understanding.

"How bad is it?" you asked, voice hoarse.

Ronin smirked, reached into his pocket, and pulled out a cracked handheld mirror.

“Take a look, baby boy.”

Your hands trembled as you took it. Carefully, you lifted the mirror to see—

Your chest.

Flat.

For the first time in your life, it was yours.

Ronin was the one who helped you sit up, one hand braced against your back, the other carefully maneuvering a pill bottle.

"Alright, sweetheart, open up," he cooed, shaking out a couple of painkillers into his palm. "Be a good boy and take your meds."

You gave him the weakest glare imaginable, but you opened your mouth anyway, letting him pop the pills onto your tongue. He pressed a water bottle into your hand next, watching as you swallowed them down.

“There we go," he murmured, voice softer than usual. "That’s my guy.”

Your chest ached, but it wasn’t the same ache you’d carried all your life. This was a healing kind of pain, a pain that meant change.

Ronin flopped onto the mattress next to you, sprawled like he owned the place, but his attention stayed locked on you.

"You get it now, don’tcha?" he mused, one hand resting lazily on his own stomach. "That feeling—like you finally belong to yourself."

You nodded slowly.

Ronin smirked, but something in his expression flickered. His fingers drummed against his stomach once, twice—then he grabbed your wrist, guiding your hand toward him.

"Go ahead," he said, voice still playful, but gentler. "Feel it."

You hesitated, then let your fingers graze over his torso. The material of his hoodie was worn soft, but you could feel it—raised scar tissue beneath, the subtle differences in how his body had been reshaped.

“You—”

"Mmhm," Ronin hummed, watching your reaction. "Back alley job, just like yours. It ain't pretty, and it sure as fuck wasn’t easy, but it’s mine."

Your throat tightened. You’d thought he was just helping you, that he was playing his usual games. You hadn’t expected this.

Ronin stretched, cracking his neck. "Funny, huh? People think you’re born into something, but nah—you make yourself. Cut away the parts that don’t fit. Build somethin’ new." His grin sharpened. "That’s real power, sweetheart. That’s being alive."

You exhaled shakily. "Yeah. I get it."

Ronin clicked his tongue, ruffling your hair like you were a puppy. "Good. Now get some rest, or I’m gonna have to knock you out myself."

You smirked, letting your eyes slip shut.

- 🦀 Poseidon fell in love with her first, but for Amphitrite it was an enemies to lovers followed by a slow burn! So it took her a really long while to get used to him.

- 🦀 Amphitrite and Poseidon are similar in combat due to both not taking their battles seriously, one is arrogant and the other considers everything a joke, not weak but sadly has a “I’m better then you I won’t even bother” attitude that leads to their down fall if their opponent is smart

- 🦀 Poseidon likes his women tall, he isn’t threatened by her height at all since she’s only 7’2 and he’s 6’2, plus who wouldn’t like a tall muscular goddess?

- 🦀 Poseidon built a hut for Amphitrite, it’s located by the Routsouna waterfall in Naxks, the reason why is cause Amphitrite usually sleeps either aboard her ship or if by the area, in that hut, she’s by chance 1% in Atlantis

- 🦀 Poseidon learned Atlantean for her, mainly cause she was confused most of the time he spoke greecian with her during the early days of their marriage

- 🦀 Amphitrite didn’t show up to her own wedding, she let Poseidon stand there like a moron, simply cause as she put it “it’s my nature” (she forgot, he was enraged)

- 🦀 Poseidon gifted her a jar of sea water, it sounds like a odd gift but if you know the lore behind my Amphitrite, you’d find it bitter sweet (he poured Hades’ 1000 air refresher into it)
