The thought that goes into the fake science in dungeon meshi can be something so special actually. Using golems to explain crop rotation and how removing predators from an ecosystem can have knock-on effects. Talking about symbiotic relationships and parasites too! And characters are actually interested in the science so they keep explaining about it. Finally, some exposition I can get behind.

in a secondary, follow up note, in which no one cares (but me), full disclosure i'm a big fan of commonplace books. i keep one for every character i rp which...means i currently have a grand total of one (1) for @transistorized and it's full of mechanical and electrical engineering, space stuff, notes from books he canonically has mentioned he enjoys and i decided to read (i really do need a refresh on le morte d'arthur), stuff like that. character knowledge for the sake of having knowledge that character would have, just because i don't pick up characters easily, and when one decides to hang around, we're in it to win it.

so i guess that means i need to start a second one, because while i have a friend i can bug for mortuary stuff (he's a mortician) i'd also like to collect other fun tidbits like a magpie. and unlike with tony, who would scribble on a napkin and therefore would not give a tin shit about paper quality, it gives me an excuse to maybe use one of my everyday books from galen leather with the cosmo air light paper.

Netflix (the site where one of it’s main selling points was its lack of ads) now has ads, unless you pay extra to get rid of them.

Youtube has recently blessed me with full-length un-skippable ads, and once again removed my ability to block any ad I might take issue with.

I love not being able escape ads ever :)

My interstitial cystitis was diagnosed as ovarian cysts then pelvic inflammatory disease then I had multiple doctors who were convinced I was severely constipated and idk refused to tell them and I was also just diagnosed as being too fat in a way that was squishing my bladder. When I said it only got worse as time went on even after I lost thirty pounds my doctor said “that’s a start lose another seventy and we will see if you still have this problem” I hope that doctor dies lol I have so many bad things to say about ONE visit

@freedfromortalcoil If you add a clipping mask to a layer it makes it so that it'll only show up if there's something there on the layer beneath it

[ I didn't think my explanation was that clear so I added a lil demonstration too <3 - The layers are depicted in the bottom right & the little arrow thingy shows which layers have clipping masks/what they're clipped to ]

I've found it pretty helpful when it comes to trying to add shading, so I only have to pay attention to staying in the lines once xD

Some peoples inability to do ONE simple Google search astounds me.

Aside from someone somehow managing to not stumble across fanfiction while traversing fandom spaces if you simply Google "where can I read fanfiction" you will be provided with all you could need.

Rather than look something up themselves people on tiktok just want to be told everything all the time
