Alistair: super sweet dude who literally is not the stereotypicalchantryguyfightme. He’s a great example of healthy masculinity and I totally wish he was bi because I have an entire essay on that— also: he’s a poc! His mum was brown. Fenris’ main arc should’ve been a recovery arc, not drunken moping and revenge. he deserves better. give him a soft sweater instead of his spikes and let him love himself as much as I love him for MAKERS SAKE. like when you really think about their relationship, it could’ve been an eye-opener for fenris and finally some legit sympathy for anders. but we all know that if they had of teamed up that Meredith would’ve been dead before the end of Act 1 so.

Isabela: whorephobia is not a joke. oversexualizing your only appearing brown woman is so poorly written. how about we appreciate her and her lovely bosoms but also let people tease her about her heart of gold? her innate understanding of freedom? instead of just a wave of dick? please?? can we give her some pants for when she fights? can we accept that i fall for rogues who hate themselves?? fuck. also whomever draws her x femHawke x Merrill literally is after my own heart.

If he gets a redemption arc I hope Lavellan gets to slap him before getting him to teach all about ancient Arlathan and show that the Evanuris weren’t all total dicknozzles. (Aka I really have a hard time believing that they’d be slavery cult things. especially since they’ve compared elves to indigenous ppl, Jews and the Romani.)

Vivienne: it’s so racist that they’d make a black woman be pro-slavery. That’s such internalized racism. She could’ve been the cool ass “educate yourself first before you speak, fool” ice lady, but NO. the devs could’ve kept the “Templars are a tool that I proudly can mandate” and the “circles are very good education” and we. Could. Have. Romanced. Her. Like. Fuck. Sake. I just wanna give her a hug and say “love yourself omg!!” and not even in a romantic way. Also: she and morrigan should not have been so antagonistic towards each other. I’d expect them to have great respect for each other, as they both moved up in the world through hardwork and very little help. They could learn different magic from each other too and still maintain that rival respect “oh you” mood. Sidenote: probably the cooler option for Divine. if her approval is high enough she’ll love and be loyal to you forever and i can’t see her agenda being bad. she improves the circles exponentially and tells all the antis to suck her pretty painted toes.

Josephine: an actual disney princess. romanced her my first playthrough. I love her so much. she just makes me so happy. And she’s like: “Integrity, Loyalty, peace. That is what it means to be a GREY WARDEN good fucking person.” she’s the person who would let you hold her hand if you got anxious and she’d be that person who shouldered the whole group project with finesse and poise and would probably lie for everyone as to not be mean. i love josie. her and leliana’s relationship is so cute, too. whether it’s romantic or not: women supporting women.

Leliana: if you leave her hardened you must hate her. why. she becomes so against herself. i like how shes feminine and lighthearted because that’s so powerful-- to remain hopeful when the world is hopeless. (its hard to know when to soften her/harden her so i get it but. google it. she deserves to be happy and sweet again.)

Cullen: uwu war criminal with shit ass “redemption arc” that was actually a half-assed (at BEST) recovery arc. Recovery isn’t linear, it isn’t pretty, and even the broken need to be told they are wrong in order to heal right. Like I’m offended by that bullshit. I’ve had to do some mental health recovery in the past and unlearning lots of toxic ideologies— which I’m still unlearning— and it bothers me that he gets an easy pass because he’s hot. It’s one thing if you like Cullen, it’s another thing if you hold him accountable.

ok so I haven't been feeling that the arrangement/relationship was giving much bc it was a purely sexual thing and I was getting bored and low key disgusted.

and like when we met we both agreed for this to be no strings attached bc neither wanted a gf/bf. however I noticed like a year in he was catching feelings because he said "would you like to be exclusive?" and I asked what he meant and he said "that we only have sex with each other" and I said that I didn't know.

cut to like a few months later my sex drive goes down and I don't want to meet up bc it's just for sex and I tell him I'm not really wanting to do anything and he's like "oh but we can hang out still", but hanging out with him is literally sitting in his bed playing video games which isn't interesting or fun for me or watching a movie and have him dry hump me and tell me he wants me to which I get annoyed at because I EXPLICITLY said I didn't want to do anything.

and I also need to mention other things that annoyed me with him. every time in the morning I wanted to leave I always had to like come up with something like a "plan" so I had somewhere else to be and couldn't stay because dude I want to enjoy my weekend. and every time I was like "well o gotta go" and he said "it only takes 6 minutes to the train from here" but like I have smaller legs than you, want to have an extra 5 min in case and I HAVE ANXIETY which I've told him so I need extra time or I'll literally panic. so I almost missed the train several times because he would sometimes refuse to let me get up from bed and I was clearly annoyed at him like this isn't funny and idk why he thinks I'd want to miss my train bc then I'd have to wait 30 min for my bus.

time management. I'm the person that gets to class 20 min early. Gets up 2-3h before I need to leave the house and make sure I have n extra 20-30 min of I'm going to find a new place. this dude was more of a "few seconds before" type of person which gave me anxiety and just felt disrespectful of my time when HE decided time and then never managed to meet me in time. even if 90% of the time he just had to walk down to the lobby door of his apartment to get me on he'd be 10-15 min late.

however I think what was the breaking point for my tolerance was when we decided to watch captain marvel in theatres. I said I'd like to eat before and he was like "sounds good, the movie starts 21.30 so we can meet 20.35 and eat" and I'm like, weird time but okay. and I arrive 10 min early to the mall we're gonna eat at (where they also have the theatre) and I tell him I'm there. 20-30min later I get a text that says "I'll be a little late" and I'm like okaybim in the lobby. he comes through the doors 20 minutes before the movie starts and then is like "so what do you want to eat?" and I say "do we really have time for that" I'm annoyance and he's like sure we do and I'm like....sure....so we have Lebanese food but I can't eat quickly because of my anxiety and past ed so I eat half and put the rest of the shworma in my bag for later. then he wanted to go to another store to buy drinks with like 3 min left until it started. RIGHT OMG when we got there FORTY MINUTES LATE he wants to go say hi to a friend who works in a store there LIKE???!!???????

fourth. I get that he was probably trying to be nice and give me compliments and I told him I was insecure about my tits because they're not that big. they're a size AA and A on food days I guess. but he said every time that my boobs had gotten bigger like, I'd have a F cup at this point if they actually were getting bigger and he noticed it every time. then however he started saying "your ass had gotten bigger" and it made me feel so selfcouncious. he KNEW about my ed and he KNEW I was still having issues with it so I don't understand why that comment was necessary???? I spiraled after hearing those comments and almost started dieting and skipping meals again because of those comments. and I know it's in and hot to have a big ass rn but o don't want one, love em on other people but I don't want one bc o feelnotd be disproportionate with my small chest and I already feel so uncomfortable sometimes with not being curvy and like it messes me up ......

and just being treated like a sex object in general. sure it was a sexual arrangement, but some respect please.....he would call me sexy even though I said I didn't like that comment bc I didn't see myself as sexy and didn't think it described me well (plus I look younger than I am so it makes me kind of uncomfortable). and saying only things about my body and how hot and sexy I am and it didn't make me feel good. ever. I don't think he ever complimented me on anything else but looks and it gets very boring after a while.

the end of it. as we know I'm in Korea rn studying and he knew this since months back and we hadn't talked since my bday in February and I avoided sc bc we almost only talked there but then I posted something and he replies around July/August and never stops writing even though I don't reply for 1-4 days. immature of me maybe but I was working a lot and didn't even think of replying bc it gave me anxiety to talk to him at this point.

then September. it's 1 month left until I leave and I have a LOT to fix before going and friends to say bye to. he says "can we meet this weekend" and I tell him I work weekends and I have other things to do almost every weekend up to when I leave and idk if I'll have time. he kept pushing again and again and I told him I didn't have time. then like a week left and he asks me to come over tonight and he knows I need to know these things I'm advance or I don't do it bc I'm not an impulsive person. and I tell him "honestly I don't think I will have the time to see you before I leave. I want to say bye to my close friends and my family" and he's like "wouldvevliked to see you one time before you leave though ://" butbi don't reply.

I talk to a few friends and they tell me to break it off but I only did it last week and BOY. I sent him a message on fb saying that I'm sorry but I don't think this kind of relationship works for me anymore, I'm not interested in it and won't be when I come back either probably and I say that I hope he understands. and he just replies "what kind of relationship is this?" and I say fwb at best. and he's like. .....well...I was hoping for more but I could sense you didn't want it.

If you’ve seen me reblogging things from later seasons, it was never going to be that. There are things that I knew I was going to enjoy VERY MUCH, and I wasn’t wrong. There were also things that, if I let them, would have had me frothing a the mouth in rage.

But then I reminded myself that I’m vacationing in Castle Not Giving a Shit while I watch the back half of the show, and things were much better after that. I’ve mostly left my in the moment reaction except where I’d had too much wine to be coherent.

So I decided to react to the Black Lightning Series because it’s so damn good. I definitely recommend watching it. You can find it on the CW’s website if you didn’t catch it. It’s got representation, the writing is great, and the fight scenes are awesome! Please don’t sleep on this show!

Okay so overall this episode was AWESOME! They had some great quotes and scenes and I loved LaWanda. I hate that they did Latavius bad like that he was so great. You don’t get villains with that much complexity these days and I’m hoping that he just pulls a leaf out of Will’s book and somehow survives. It was illogical with will, but you know I might just let it slide if they do it with Latavius.

Also, to elaborate with the ending scene with Jeff, it’s good that it wasn’t porn and it was just Lynn bc at least he’s loyal you know. But at the same time the way he was watching it is kinda like an addiction to Lynn. It’s like porn but only with Lynn. So I think Gambi’s right. She’s calling his powers an addiction, but she’s the addiction.

And you can see even though they’re “separated” they’re still showing each other affection and it’s kinda like she’s teasing him. (not sleeping in the same bed, saying she’s gotta take it slow). And he goes along with it bc he wants more. So yeah it is an addiction and like any addiction it’s stopping him from doing what’s right. LaWanda was his student and like a daughter to him and Lynn was still tryna stop him

So yeah, they have cute scenes, but Lynn is kinda unhealthy for him at the same time and she’s holding him back. You know, people always tell women to not let men hold them back, but men, don’t let your women hold you back either. And same goes for mlm and wlw. And people who don’t give a fuck about gender. DON’T LET PEOPLE STOP YOU FROM ACHIEVING YOUR DREAMS AND DOING THE RIGHT THING

Which, going back to the wonderful wlw in this episode, Anissa and her girlfriend are clearly a foil to Jeff and Lynn bc when Anissa said that she was busy chasing all her dreams, the girlfriend said that she wasn’t tryna hold her back, which is exactly the opposite of what Lynn is doing to Jeff.

But also, I like that it’s not like they’re having a lgbt+ couple be the good one and a het relationship be the unhealthy one as if het relationships are inherently unhealthy and lgbt+ ones are inherently healthy bc anissa and her gf have their issues just like jeff and lynn have their good moments.

And it’s really nice that the girlfriend wants more than just sex bc I feel like a lot of wlw couples focus on the sexual stuff. Like, why can’t we have sitcom lesbians and lesbians fighting crime and stuff without it being sexual?

But also they balance out the relationships by having this REALLY CUTE thing with Jen and her guy. He’s so cute and supportive and I really liked their get together scene on the roof. It wasn’t some overdone dramatic first kiss scene. It was just two awkward teens getting together and the kiss wasn’t anything big. Also, when he brought out the necklace and she smiled, IT WAS SO CUTE

And he’s just so supportive and he’s just tryna get her on the right track. And he’s got a tough family situation, but he’s still tryna keep his life together. Get you a partner like that.

Also, I love how the girls are going through the trauma in their own ways. Anissa has panic attacks and Jen drinks. You know, in a lot of superhero shows, people go through traumatic shit and brush it off, but these writers are showing the aftermath and it’s great. Also, the girls experience it differently. Jen is outwardly cheerFUL and stuff in an effort to distract herself. And Anissa’s a little more shaken. It just shows that PTSD symptoms always vary depending on the person

But I did like that scene where she threw that guy across the store and got up and smiled like she was proud of herself. That was badass.

Anyway, this review was a mess, but I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy the show. Writers, if you see this, KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK AND I HOPE IT GETS RENEWED FOR A SEASON 2!!!

Kay, new icon is Vriska’s dice cause the gradient was lame, and every Vriska blog halfway to sunday has already had every photo of her face as their icon twice. It also works cause of yknow liking dnd and stuff. one thing I really liked about my last vriska pic one was the negative space made it feel like it popped and I feel like this one has sort of the same thing going for it. Wow, it can be that deep. I’m just rambling cause it’s 3am and yet again I have stayed up this long. I can;t wait til it’s winter again so I can force myself back into a normal sleep schedule. I stayed up all night a couple nights ago, and that gave me one decent night of sleep so I might just try that again tonight. Rest put under the readmore because it’s irrelevant and sleep deprived rambling I wouldn’t dare subject my beautiful followers and browsers to.

While I’m here, posting a late night thing no one will see or interact with; thank god; I was cleaning and I came across one of those neck warmer things that legit just a tube you pull up your face to keep your nose from freezing off because Canada Winters, I never can use them because I always fog up my glasses, and I just wanted to say that Niqabi gals with glasses are so brave? Legit if I had to deal with my glasses fogging up I’d die, I’d rather lose my nose to frostbite than fog them up (like I go outside enough loll) so for them to deal with that everyday is like, legendary. I mean, I guess if you were pretty antisocial you wouldn’t have to deal with it much but still, point totally stands.

Honestly before I started vrisrose posting I felt so useless yknow cause in the vriska circles there are a lot of intelligent people who understand canon better and are overall smarter and better spoken so I just felt like everything I had to say was just old hat and not very interesting. But the thing I like about VrisRose is no one else is talking about it as frequently ( I was searching the tag and my blog came up in the recco’s for blogs up top and I was very happy) so I feel like, hey, this is my niche. That one engineer of useless inventions quote: The best way to become top of your field is to specialize:, I jsut love rarepairs so much! I think it’s such a great way to approach character analysis because no one exists in a vaccum so seeing peoples interactions and what people like is so fun!!!! I say, invalidating all my personal issues lollll

CHARACTER ANALYSIS! FUCK TALKING ABOUT INTERACTIONS OR ACTIONS ON THEIR OWN OR THOUGHTS OR HC’S, I STAND BY MY ONE TAAKO ‘vriska did nothing wrong’ QUOTE; Trying to understand what characters morals, and their opinions on certain things by analyzing their opinions and interactions in canon is 500x more productive seeming to me than other things. Like, say taako’s thoughts about vriska, V and Lucretia are p similar actions wise, and he was pissed at her but that was mostly cause of the personal connections, when it doesn’t affect him Taako doesn’t seem to have any moral objections to any of the icky moral stuff; think robot planet or whatevs where they were gonna genocide the place and lup was like no and that was like the only reason he didn’t I’m pretty sure, I’m not too big brained on taako or adventurezone either so don’t take my word; So I think that Taak’s would be chill with Vriska. Another thing? The Lucretia thing was like, giving up which Taako is not ok with and Vriska thigns were about not giving up so I do legit think he would be totally coool with her, even if she were real, unless obvs she hurt one of the seven bird red robe people and their new friends.

ISN;T THAT SUCH A FUN METHOD OF CHARACTER ANALYSIS? I’m not drunk or in an altered state just tired enthusiastic and with a lot of pent up thoughts. Speaking of which, this song just came on it’s “Slowdance with you” by the Marcus Hedges Trend Orchestra and it is SOOOOO good, it’s on a vrisrezi playlist I put on bc I’m rereading song of the pyre because it was vriska day and it’s super good soo so good. Overwatch:

-Ben “Captainplanet” came out w/ a new article and I LOVE IT so much and I want hhis job so bad I wanna get into stats so much ahhh please so good it’s giving me a , this is crude but it’s the best way I can phrase it, a math erection. I love math so much <33333333

-The Shock, my faves, are doing well and I’m happy for them! I hope they go 7-0, I believe in them! I’m lying I am so fucking nervous for literally every match they have they’re gonna 2-5 AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH Why am I so INVESTED? They technically could take first spot but that’s require titan’s to lose every match left and the shock to 7-0, but the thing is I thought that I wanted that but

-then I watched the titans london match today, and I HATED the thought of titans losing. And losing so hard to other teams too, and I didn’t realize this but I think I do actually kinda like the titans?The thought of them not being a great team makes me sad. I think it’s like I really like them and shock as rivals, yknow, stage one and two, then this upcoming map? If Titans aren’t still Good in this meta it just sorta makes their rivalry not fun. When did you get into Gravity Falls? It was around this April, long after the finale. I was bored and I knew Gravity Falls was popular, so I wanted (to quote a certain episode) to see what all the buzz was about! I watched it in 2 days and bought the journal the following Wednesday. (Fun fact, I actually tried a bit earlier, but got bored during the intro to episode one. No attention span there). What got you hooked on it? I believe I was super hooked on watching all of it when Stan went behind the vending machine in episode one. Like!!! STAN WHAT THE FUCK!! But when I really started to enjoy the plot was Dreamscapers! Do you write, make art, or create content for the fandom or just enjoy being a part of it but haven’t made anything yet? I’ve made a whole bunch of drawings for this show! I haven’t posted most of them, but I have a notebook literally FILLED with gravity falls drawings. All of the pages are fan art. Drawing for this show has been really fun tbh! Who’s your favorite character? Do you Do you even have to ask.

STANFORD FILBRICK PINES FOLKS!!

Funny story about favourite characters, originally my favourite was Bill Cipher, Ford being second. I went through the Ford tag and saw a bunch of hate posts (I went deep folks. I reached the end). I made him my favourite character out of pURE SPITE TO THOSE PEOPLE!! My love for him grew after that. I just... He’s my favourite fictional character as well. I relate to him quite a bit and I might reflect too much of myself on my Headcanons of him. I absolutely adore the way he talks and his interests. Journal 3 was a blessing. Most underrated character on the show? IMO It’s Melody!! I hardly see her in any fan art or fanfiction, and she was so sweet to soos. I really want more content with her and soos (More than I want Carla content) What’s your favorite episode? It’s a three way tie to Scary-oke, Dungeons Dungeons and More Dungeons, and The Last Mabelcorn. For scary-oke, I’ve always ADORED zombie plots, especially when theyre well written. The singing bit at the end really made me love this episode though. It makes me SO SO HAPPY to see them all singing together and Stan being honest about the journal and!!! UGH I always sing and dance along and I feel included and happy its nice.

For DDAMD, That was the episode I really started loving Ford. He’s such a nerd!!! He was so happy to play his favourite game with dipper!!! And Stans outfit was amazing, flipping Probablitor was voiced by WEIRD AL. Overall Such a wholesome episode. It’s one of the only episodes where Stan and Ford’s problems with eachother seem... less real. Like a break from fighting. Poor, dysfunctional old men.

Lastly, TLM was such a good angsty plot episode on Ford’s side, GOD I LOVED THE COLOURS AND THE FEAR WITH CIFORD!! Plus that ford sleeping shot was just adorable

What’s your least favorite episode? I generally dislike Golf Wars and Northwest Manor Mystery. More Golf Wars. It was kinda boring plot wise, especially with such good episodes before it!! NMM was more because I knew Not What He Seems was after it and IM IMPATIENT! All episodes are really good imo What do you hope to see in the graphic novel? God, at this point I just want Ford to have a major part in the comic. After the colouring book where he has like 3 pages, I have low expectations when It comes to Ford content. It seems like Ford is Alex’s least favourite Pines story wise and I wish that wasn’t the case because we have so little ford merch and content. He was only in 9 episodes, and one is only in the beginning. If Ford has a significant role in the story then I Will be Content.

Favorite fan content? HIT ME WITH THAT LONG FIC CONTENT I WILL EAT THAT UP!! Especially if it’s mystery trio AU. God that AU IS THE BEST!! All 3 of my favourite characters interacting??? Bless.
