Cal claims it's bad for business," The food waste in the restaurant industry was a real problem, and most of Tiana's bosses preferred to not encourage panhandlers outside of the businesses. Which was just ridiculous, considering peddlers were all over the place whether they liked it or not, "Maaaybe... But we'd have to get the food out in some ways the chef wouldn't notice. I wouldn't want to get accused of stealing, even if the food is just going to the garbage bins."

"Awh, mint chocolate chip?" He began to complain, but stopped himself from carrying on. He could practically hear his mother berating him for being ungrateful. "I mean, mint choc chip's cool. I mean, you can't exactly have bad ice-cream, can you? Can ice-cream even go bad?" He furrowed his brow, now wondering about the process of making ice-cream rather than anything useful or present to the conversation. He linked arms with her, looking around for a moment taking inventory of their surroundings. "Yeah, it's better than going to waste, even if it's gross." he relented. "But, why don't you keep it all from going to waste? Why let any of it get thrown out? Do you have, like, a gross-meter as to what does and doesn't get to come home?" And if she did, how on earth did mint chocolate chip manage to pass the test? "You could always bring it to the uni, those guys would eat just about anything, especially if it's cheap. I'd could help you out, if you wanted. They listen to me, so, I could make sure it stays on the down low."

[ CHASE ]  for one muse to interrupt and make a third party leave the other alone out of jealousy/possessiveness. 

it  wasn't  often  they  went  out,  just  the  two  of  them. but  julie  knew  that  their  rabbit  was  feeling  some  kind  of  way  lately  and  she  thought  that  maybe  she  could  help  get  his  mind  off  of  whatever  it  was  king  prawn  did  this  time. she'd  let  him  choose  the  place  and  they  ended  up  at  a  bar  that  the  keepers  frequented. help  him  feel  more  comfortable  as  the  she  -  wolf  knew  that  sometimes  people  around  school  could  be  a  bit.. much. too  much.      she'd  been  seated  on  his  lap,  straddling  him  and  fingers  carded  through  pale  hair. one  of  julie's  biggest  love  languages  was  touch,  and  she  did  love  him. much  in  the  same  way  she  loved  pat. their  whole  group  fit  together  like  perfect  puzzle  pieces  and  it  just.. worked.       having  excused  herself  to  the  ladies  room,  she  left  her  cut  carefully  on  one  of  the  empty  chairs  when  they  first  got  there. it  had  been  a  good  night,  nothing  majorly  bad  happening. she  always  got  shit  from  the  others  about  her  choice  in  bike,  but  it  was  all  in  good  fun. she  could  handle  it. it  was  a  bit  odd  with  her  being  the  only  woman  in  the  keepers  that  wasn't  an  ol'  lady. she  couldn't  even  tease  bandit  about  it  anymore  because  much  like  her,  he'd  paid  his  dues  and  had  officially  been  patched  in. 

 sure,  she  didn't  look  like  she  fit  in. julie  was  tiny,  and  she  looked  like  she'd  more  fit  in  with  a  sorority  than  a  mc. she  looked  like  someone  who  one  of  them  would  pick  up  for  a  night,  but  nobody  ever  made  that  mistake  with  her. (  one  had  when  she  first  joined,  and  she  broke  his  nose  in  three  places  ).       julie  heard  a  couple  girls  come  in  and  she  soon  was  paying  full  attention  to  what  they  were  saying.      ❛ did  you  see  that  bitch  draped  all  over  him?  could  you  be  any  more  desperate?  she  couldn't  keep  up  with  any  of  them  if  she  tried. barbie  needs  to  go  back  to  her  playhouse. and  quit  trying  to  run  with  the  big  dogs. ❜      grin  spread  wildly  across  her  features  because  she  knew  who  they  were  talking  about. a  pair  of  california  raisins  that  had  been  hovering  since  they  walked  in. they  wanted  to  find  themselves  a  member  to  bring  them  in. julie  knew  arley  was  attractive. way  far  out  of  her  league  for  sure,  but  she  wasn't  blind. she  knew  they'd  been  staring. so  she  waited. she  waited  for  them  to  leave  and  gave  it  a  few  knowing  that  thumper  would  think  she'd  fallen  in  or  something  but  nah. she  was  fixing  her  makeup  and  when  she  finally  came  back  out  sure  enough  there  they  were.      now,  she  had  to  cut  them  a  little  slack. they  were  normies  and  they  didn't  know  any  better. she  also  had  to  make  sure  she  didn't  end  them  where  they  stood  (  boy  did  she  want  to  ). they  were  hovering  and  instead  of  choosing  violence  as  she  usually  would,  she  went  a  different  route.       ❝ excuse  me  ladies. my  seat  is  getting  cold. ❞  voice  purred  out  as  she  slipped  by  them  and  slid  right  onto  arley's  lap  where  she'd  left. arms  draped  shoulders  and  she  leaned  in  and  pressed  a  kiss  to  his  lips  that  showed  that  it  wasn't  the  first  time  (  and  it  wasn't  ). teeth  drew  along  lower  lip  as  she  pulled  back,  tugging  gently  before  she  reached  for  her  cut  and  slipped  it  back  on.       ❝ come  on,  baby. let's  get  you  home  to  your  husband. ❞      if  julie  had  been  any  pettier,  she'd  have  taken  a  picture  of  the  looks  on  their  faces. none  of  what  she  said  was  a  lie. they  both  had  husbands  at  home,  and  she  would  get  him  home  eventually  after  she  did  what  she  had  planned  on  in  the  first  place. Arley grew up in a large, boisterous family. With four sisters always trying to drag him into their games, he grew a habit of sneaking off to hang around with his friends, much happier exploring and goofing off outside. That sentiment followed him into his school life, where he struggled to sit still or focus. Arley was held back more than once and although he was able to laugh it off, the experience left a dent in his confidence when it came to academia.

After taking a year off, Arley is back in college, determined not to be written off as another one of Godscobh's many failures. However, even with the best of intentions, he's still finding himself unable to knuckle down and focus on his studies. Leaving him constantly on the verge of failing, often having to rely on friendliness and charm to talk his way into second chances. Despite these setbacks, he's enjoying the college experience, at least socially. His curious and over-confident nature has made him well liked and when he isn't the life of the party, he's usually flirting with just about anybody willing to give him airtime.

Though he doesn't know exactly what he wants just yet, he's trying to keep as many doors open as possible, hoping at least one of them will lead him to something that'll work out.

Notable character information: Arley just can't stop flirting with everyone else in their college classes, but it's obviously not helping to get their grades up...

"I believe you, baby, promise. And you'll get all the mint chocolate chip you want as a payment," Tiana chuckled, holding an elbow up for the younger man to take. If he insisted on an escort, Tiana certainly wouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth. Leaving the restaurants on late nights was already a little scary sometimes, and now with the street completely dark? It was just nice to have Arley there.

"Hey, at least I'm making sure the 'gross' stuff doesn't go to waste. Sometimes there's so much food we have to throw out at the eat of the night, it's just sad," Food that could easily be donated to the homeless around town... But a lot of business owners didn't want people like that hanging around their shops, "If stuff doesn't get eaten, it just gets taken to the dump to rot."

"Well, neither do I. So, that's good then, isn't it?" He insisted, unwilling to budge from his initial stance. "Means we can just enjoy the walk home. I don't have to worry about having to save you." he paused for a beat, before tacking on, "Which I could totally do, if I had to. Wouldn't even be hard to do." "What a killer combo." He screwed up his face, nose twitching as she handed over the takeout. "I'm a vegetarian, so, you're on your own with the gross half. The ice-cream, however... I mean, if you needed saved from ice-cream, the offer would still stand."

"Sugar, I have walked these roads for long enough, I don't need anyone helping me," Tiana laughed at how enthusiastically Arley had jumped at pairing up. It was a good idea, of course, to travel with a partner in the dark, but something told the waitress that the offer was a little self-serving too. It was almost adorable though, the way he puffed up like a peacock.

"You're sweet though, you can carry all the takeout I stole from work. Since we didn't know how long the freezers would be broken, they sent me home with a bunch of meat and ice cream."

"What? No! Of course I'm not afraid of the dark. I'm offering to walk you home so you feel safe." Arley puffed out his chest, raising his brows in playful cockiness. "Come on, I'm going this way anyway, it'll only be weird now if you make me walk behind you." Unable to stand even a moments awkward silence, he continued his tirade. "Look, just this once, I'll even carry your things. Do we have a deal?"
