4 // Definitely his irrational moments of anger that come out to play during circumstances that don’t require it. I mean, that whole jump in and SEE WHAT I MEAN?! HOW CAN ANY OF US TRUST THESE FUCKING PEOPLE?! when AJ said he was in the wrong for his actions just felt like a line that he was planning to shoot out whether or not the situation called for it ; he just has FOOT IN MOUTH syndrome hardcore and it kills me. There were moments where I was just putting my head in my hands about him, but even if I don’t like it, it still makes Mitch himself. 5 // I definitely love his devotion to protection. It completely foils Marlon’s actions from the previous episode where Marlon was willing to wave a gun at his own people and push them around, Mitch was willing to throw himself at the dangers that threatened the people he cared about. While he may not have expected to die, he still was willing to risk it all to protect Tenn and the others when the option to fall back became skewed by the fact Tenn was stuck out in the open and was physically unable to move via fear or shock. 9 // Honestly, this might not be applicable, but I think that I would change some of the choices that the creators were going with in the game. The way they handled the whole greenhouse scene will never be anything short of infuriating to me, personally? If they wanted to go through the route of having Clem choose between Mitch and Ruby’s situations, then the process they took with it was poorly done ; it didn’t give you a chance to really express some kind of problem/issue. 99% of people went with Ruby. Why? Because her case was presented with extreme sympathies, with extreme motivations, with extreme choices, with extreme moralities ; there wasn’t even a chance to really feel anything toward Mitch’s situation.
Every single playthrough of it went straight with the Ruby choice. If they wanted someone to feel a connection to Mitch, then where’s the reason? Sure, some people could feel like he had a bigger voice in Clem staying, but it was clear that both he and Ruby had negative views on Clem and AJ prior to them being kicked out ; if they wanted that to be a choice or route for Clem to take, then there was ZERO incentive toward Mitch’s side. Even in the 3rd season, there was reason you’d feel some reason to take on David’s split paths: he’s family, he’s in a harsh community, he’s actually got morals you understand, you see him as someone worth trusting ; hell, even when you could bury Mariana or go with Clementine, there was more of a moment of pause. Why? Because you know Clementine as the player ; you feel this need to be with her to see her story because you genuinely care for this character.
With Mitch? All players saw was him throwing an unnecessary tantrum over Ruby’s choice. For that, the choice to choose his route felt so...drab. Yeah, you’d rather bury Ms. Martin. Had Ms. Martin been someone who hurt Mitch personally, then I could see people being like: oh, yeah, she wasn’t as magical as Ruby thinks ; if they had Mitch swaying the vote in a better light, then I could see the choice being a good idea ; I mean even the fact that they took out Ruby being negative toward Clem in one scene really just made it clear that they wanted people to choose Ruby.
I love Mitch to pieces as a character, but even I can’t say I had any fuss over choosing to bury Ms. Martin ; he had NOTHING going for his argument at all. They just chucked out any reasonable reaction to that except that he didn’t see walkers/death in the same light as Ruby. I mean, seriously, half the comments said: I chose to bury Ms. Martin because “what if it was Lee.” There just wasn’t...ANYTHING noteworthy there to make it morally worth your time. All the player sees is: Ruby is horribly sad, Ruby getting visibly upset, Ruby being weepy, Mitch being unreasonable, Mitch being harsh, Mitch throwing a tantrum, and Ms. Martin as a saintly figure.
Seriously, even the viewpoints of how Clem sees walkers can be EXACTLY based on how Mitch felt about Ms. Martin inside the greenhouse with James and his ideas of “walkers were human once,” but even if you, Clem, or anyone else didn’t feel the same as James, there was that moral moment where you felt obligated to because YOU NEEDED HIM TO HELP YOU TO RESCUE PEOPLE ON THE BOAT. With Mitch? What’s the point in doing what he asked? By the time you’re there, the game already says you’re going to have the wall in your room again for your collectibles, so you know you’re not being shoved out, you know Ruby feels sympathy for you and wants to be your friend again, and you just see Mitch’s actions as this shining beacon of jackass.
Even killing Lilly was harder for the player because: they don’t want AJ to be a killer, they want AJ to be morally righteous, but they also see what kind of a monster Lilly is (ie killing Mitch, telling her people to kill who they had to, cutting out Louis’s tongue, cutting off one of their fingers, shoving the fact that Minnie killed her sister right up into everyone’s faces like it’s casual chatter, literally not giving a shit that Dorian got her ear BITTEN off, etc.).
Mitch’s moment had zero incentive. While GREAT for showing us his viewpoints and his character in regard to opinions on walkers, it just wasn’t worthy of having the choice there. Why bother? You might as well have had them argue and Clem just say: let’s bury her.
I’m not saying Ruby didn’t have a right to her decision ; I’m saying that the scene should have been played out in a way that gave the player more reason to consider Mitch’s side if they were doing choices. I don’t want people to flip flop their views to 100% Mitch’s side, but I’d have at least liked to see just...a reason to consider Mitch.
I’ll never NOT dislike that scene and how it was played out.

I give your OCs...
Toby Rodgers!
He isn't my character but he's a creepypasta and this is my AU of his character soooo *shrug*
He's a 5'9 ball of angst and cheerily murderous tendencies
He usually kills people by slamming a pair of hatchets into their body until they aren't alive anymore
Pain is hilarious to him because he has CIP and can't feel it
He has ADHD so he's sort of...OK, really impulsive. He defo needs someone to keep him in check otherwise he'll end up hurting himself. He has Tourette's as well, so if he's feeling any sort of intense emotion, his body starts to twitch. He has verbal tics as well, such as a mild stutter and he will sometimes mimic his father's dying screams, usually giggling afterward. That was the happiest moment of his life, after all.
His backstory is tragic and unusual, his dad abusing Toby's entire family up until his mother and his sister died in a car crash, when his dad decided to drive home drunk from the movies
Toby's dad survived though, and the two lived together for a week afterwards before Toby hacked him apart with a hatchet and set his house on fire. Rodgers was sent to a juvenile detention center for 5 years because of his crime, being stalked by a faceless humanoid named The Slender Man whilst serving his sentence.
Yeah...he kinda lost his mind, so when he was released, Toby was practically a completely different person.
He ended up as first of The Slender Man's Proxies, he's basically the creature's adopted murder child
On a lighter note, random Toby facts!
He loves to sing in the shower!
He lowkey thicc
Sends his buds dumbass memes
Likes to do things that people usually find painful in front of other people, like put out cigarettes on his skin to see their reaction
You think he can't buss it down? Bitch ur wrong lol
He primarily kills for The Slender Man, but he just finds it fun at this point, the whole hunting down and killing another person part of it
Lmao he's gonna love your cast of characters
---------------------------------------------------------
Richard Firewood
Toby is too much to handle for him and Richard doesn't have the patience to handle such persons.
Richard: Too childish and too loud. Ugh.. I am a busy man and don't have the time.
Jackson Jasper
He may find Toby to be a funny one and Jackson sure loves to laugh and crack jokes. He finds his shuttering and habits to be cute, even his murder habits.
Jackson: Seems like a cool fella to be around.
The Hacker
The Hacker will find Toby to be amusing to have around, maybe assist into some of his killing, but only to one point because if Toby gets too obnoxious The Hacker might not tolerate him anymore.
The Hacker: I guess he is fine to have around but with a limit. If I am tired I sure won't put up with his stupid shit.
Bambi Miller
She will find Toby cute and an absolute Ray of bloody sunshine. Killing people together and throwing their bodies to the aligators? Why not?
Bambi: Awww this sugar sure is adorable!
Dave Anthony
This poltergeist will find Toby amusing and he will have great sadistic pleasure in torturing and haunting him.. Since Toby is already familiar with an evil entity... Dave might have to step up his game.
Dave: Ohh... So he is aquatined with evil outerwordly creatures? This shall be fun. *evil smirk*
Samuel Grayson
Too annoying and too much to handle for Samuel. He might snap and kill him, but he has contradictory feelings because of what happened to Toby.
Samuel: Sad to say he fell victim to the manipulation if an evil entity.
Gerome and Axel (Miami Murderers)
I think they will tolerate him at first but then get really annoyed with his childish antics and incontrolabile personality.
Gerome: He seems cool but too much of a child.
Axel: Annoying.
Damiano Liberato
He finds Toby to be an incompetent child and doesn't have the time of his life to put of with such things.
Damiano: Too impulsive and too talkative for my liking.
Azment
She finds Toby to be cute and adorable Ball of murderous tendencies and wants to show him the affection he has missed on.
Azment: Poor little guy... I think he needs a hug... A long warm hug. *smirk*
Mitch Carson
This feral man finds Toby to be obnoxious and might trigger him into turning Toby into a raw steak. Mitch had no patience and his instincts tell him to kill Toby.
Mitch: *growls dangerously, across in hand ready to kill*
Azol
Ohh so he is the appretience of another evil entity. No reason not to have some fun with this unstable young man. Lets see how much insanity he can take.
Azol: Little cunt thinks he is a killer? *scowls and then smirks* I bet he cannot even handle a knife without trembling like a wet pussy. *laugh*
The Shadow
Too loud, too annoying, too unstable and Shadow has zero patience for such people. Toby better keep distance from Shadow, because this surgeon won't hesitate to dismember him.
Shadow: I cannot even think properly when I have such incompetent people around... Its imoly makes me naseau.
Bahini Talibah
Tobys past will make Bahini pity him and make her want to comfort Toby, maybe a little bit, but his instability is too much for her.
Bahini: His aura is very chaotic and full of sorrow.
Xaviera Lah-Mo
Doesn't really have an opinion on him. Maybe too loud and reckless, but that's about it.
Xaviera: He seems like he went through a lot.
Akshay Lah-Mo
The Polar bear finds him annoying and won't hesitate to throw him into the middle of the frozen ocean.
Akshay: Obnoxious. *scowls*
Decebal Avram Chirilă
He may view Toby as a clown, funny to be around but after awhile he may get bored of all that loud attitude. Even Decebal needs some quiet time.
Decebal: Crazy Dude this guy... But he is like a vampire energy sucker.
Nadia Nikolina Chirilă
She sees him as very young and clueless, following only after his instincts, but he has time to learn.
Nadia: Too loud.
Alexander Chirilă
His past will probably make Alexander pity him but his personality is making Alex feel naseau and anxious. Just no.
Alexander: And I thought I had some problems... He is making me feel uncomfortable.
