heres a (completely non-serious) theory none of yall will want to consider: eugene krabs is younger than squidward tentacles

in love that squid, squidward thinks about the “last time” he had a date - which was set during the roaring 20s

krabs was born nov 30, 1942 (or 1960 depending on which id you use)

(of course in early eps of the series squidward and krabs seemed to be close in age, so lets assume that maybe the 20s setting was a BIT of an exaggeration. after all, krabs wouldn’t have been alive during the 20s. but that still leaves room to assume squidward was still old enough to be dating when krabs was a child.)

(also, in the original frycook squidward used to have a full head of blond hair in his youth so don’t ask me why teensquid is not bald in this hypothetical doodle)

a cute lil spongebob musical art from a while back, commissioned as a gift for the 3 lead performers in an amateur production. it's been a while since i drew anything spongemusical and it makes me so happy to know that my beloved favourite show is being performed by young performers all over the world, and almost 10 years now after the original world premiere came along and re-wired my brain 😅🥳💖 spongebob musical forever!

I haven’t seen A Fish Called Sandy yet but there was for real a Spandy moment in it? 👀

There are actually several moments that could be considered spandy moments, for example:

The hugs that are presented, especially in the first image (It was the final part)

And the clear closeness between them. It reminds me of Sandy's concept art, where she mentions that her dates don't end with a kiss, but are adventures, etc.

And these are the moments I consider spandy moments. I hope that answers your question :>
