The final commission for @justletmereadmycomics is complete! Haha it was such an interesting request! I have never drawn Monkey Kid style before, but it was a lot of fun. Poor Donnie, I'm sure he'll bounce back like he always does though.

I also wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who supported and sent kind words to my friend in regards to her surgery. It meant so much to us both and helped her immensely. I'm happy to announce that her extensive surgery was a success! She's five pounds lighter due to the amount of endometriosis they had to remove and it had even reached parts of her liver, gut, and lungs which have now been purged. I'm so grateful to you all and her amazing surgeons! Now time for the healing process!

The fact that Leo can go literally anywhere on earth to be alone with his thoughts at a single moment’s notice is something that shakes around in my head all the time. Like, portals and teleportation are amazing and convenient abilities both in and out of battle, but they could also so easily be used to run away as well.

I don’t think Leo ever would, at least not most of the time. He loves his family too much, and is too dependent on their love and attention to cut himself off so suddenly like that, but it’s a very real possibility nonetheless.

It’s a good thing Leo’s overall temper is more on the mild side and he prefers going to his room or something to complete solitude, because it really is dangerous for a kid to have the ability to isolate themselves like that at their fingertips.

Did the boys have an innate sense of if Donnie was alive or not? I feel like in that scene where Leo grabs him right before the final confrontation it would have been easier to assume he was fucking. Dead

leo was paying enough attention to see him breathing, even if it was light and near-unnoticeable. im sure there was a split second where he thought he was dead-- and because he was still cursed, he wouldn't have cared. it didn't really change the way he felt at all. (although since im already portraying ninpo as a dormant thing even before they unlock it, i do imagine they have a bit of a sixth sense for something like that, but i dont think they'd really recognize it as a weird thing since they grew up pretty much only with each other lolol)

Pshhh as if Donnie believes in magical things like empaths (yet). He’s too busy trying to figure out how tf the apple twins Exist. Sure, cool, they have seethrough skin and muscles, that’s weird but surely explainable — up until they desummon their ecto ō-ō how does a skeleton just simply MOVE AROUND and STAY TOGETHER with no fleshy bits AT ALL???

Leo likes to play with them. Donnie likes to sit them down, study them, and ask millions of questions because he doesn’t accept “magic” as an answer.

It really feels like Draxum should have planned better…

How successful is he in getting the giant mutant toddler turtles to eat what they are supposed to eat? Toddlers and notoriously finicky and it’s not like there is a high chair in existence big enough to fit Raph.

Also, when does he realise they have human level intelligence rather than animal? What is it that tips him off?

Honestly, mutating the turtles probably worked way better than Draxum was expecting it to, which is why he didn't plan for this specific scenario. For example, if you look at the size of the mutation pods:

They're pretty small. Those pods are simply not big enough to hold person-sized mutants. So either the turtles were originally going to go from those pods to larger ones during the mutation process (which would imply he wanted mutants capable of fighting from the get-go), or Draxum intended for them to stay small (which would imply he intended to raise them as warriors). Whatever his original plan was, this mutation didn't follow it, and could, theoretically, therefore be considered a failure.

As far as feeding the turtles goes, it's probably helped out by the fact that at this point they're still eating more like turtles than actual toddlers. For the most part, he's been able to feed them a variety of vegetables and meats, with different ratios for different turtles. However, they will share or swap food with each other, so occasionally he has to separate them so they actually get all the nutrients they need.

Also, they vocalize when they exchange food.

This is one of the things that gives Draxum hope that they are indeed sentient, because they appear to have the capacity to use language, or at least communicate with sounds. As for what exactly tips him off, I'm hoping to make a comic on that soon.

To Fast Forward's credit, the future weapons of the turtles are actually awesome in terms of their additional functions (ex: Raphael's sais being able to connect at the hilt to form one large double-ended blade he can toss at foes.)

Also, why did they have to draw Fast Forward!Bishop's mouth like that?

It looks like a cat's
