Info: Dawn is the Zelda from Zelda 1; Sky is the Link from Skyward Sword.

One of Dawn’s parents (I’m choosing Dawn’s father to be the inherited royal) is directly descended from Aurora’s brother (this guy; I promise he’s not as bad as he looks), so it’s very possible Dawn’s dad has fluffy brown hair like Sky, and like Dawn herself. And I like to think Dawn’s mother was a Knight of Hyrule who fell in love with the King during her service as a Royal Guard.

They both died fighting Ganon when Dawn was nine, before the beginning of the first Legend of Zelda game.
