DILF Next Door
There's no better way to say this. The daddy next door is so fucking hot. I'm too chicken to ever muster up the courage to go next door and introduce myself. Every weekend, he graces me from my bedroom window with a view of him mowing the lawn shirtless.
It's a sight to behold and I wish I could just lick his salty sweat off him until he was clean. He deserves to be worshiped. The man is built like a GOD. I fell into the fantasy thinking about what his musk must smell like. My own hormones nearly fueling me to say fuck it and get semi-dressed to finally do it. I was gonna introduce myself no matter what....but fate had other plans. I was finishing getting ready when I felt something wet fall on me. I played it off but that was my fatal mistake. I was finishing brushing my teeth when all of a sudden my hand stopped mid-back and forth motioning.
My body began moving and inspecting itself as if it was foreign but I was no longer in control. Then a voice began speaking out loud.
"Hello earthling. My identifier is XE-039. I had overtaken command of your vessel and will now deploy you to my former sluglien vessel."
"Wait what do you mean?"
"This vessel is now under my control and we will spread our influence across this planet."
"Wait I can help you."
Panic overtook my common sense. How was I supposed to help when I couldn't even help myself?
"Can you aid in attaining vessels? That is the only objective we need assistance with?"
"Sure! Uh just describe to me how you take them over and we can go from there."
"We slugliens are gel based life forms that invade a species through an orifice and then put their essence in our old one before destroying them as we overtake their species."
"Perfect we earthlings love putting things in orifices. It's called being horny. Look I can show you if you take me next door. If you're going to put me in your old vessel I can try it out and show you how easy it can be."
"Hmmmmmm affirmative. Let's try this out. If you fail, you will perish."
The sluglien clunkily guided my body through the house as we arrived next door. He knocked the door and after a few minutes he arrived. Coated in light dusting of body hair and sweat, Scott answered the door in all his DILF-y glory. I tried to give the alien an express lesson on being flirty and asking to make out but before I could finish Scott began speaking.
"Hey dude, what's going on?"
"I uh, what are you doing at this point in time?"
"Well right now I'm talking to you but I just finished mowing the lawn but I was going to take a show-"
"Let's partake in the making out ceremony."
Before I could interject or Scott could even deny the advances, the sluglien placed my whole mouth over Scott's. The second he opened his mouth to protest, I knew it was my time. I used my new slug-like form to slide into Scott's mouth. Everything went dark and before I knew it my clenched closed eyes opened to see my former mouth on me.
"Dude that's so not right get off me."
I felt a knot in my new toned stomach and coughed up what must be the sluglien body. It was grey and reminiscent of other fluids humans make. It looked panicked and tried to run away but my former body quickly moved to squish it. When it lifted my shoe, the sluglien no longer moved.....did he just kill Scott?!
"That was very efficient. So we just do that until we take over this planet?"
"Well you can but there's definitely a more pleasurable way to do this."
"What is pleasure?"
Similar to the haste he just attacked Scott with. I pulled him inside the house and sat down at a chair from a nearby table. I guided him over and told him to begin feeling my up and down. I knew even if he didn't understand pleasure, my former body would get immediately horned up doing the one thing I always wanted to....worship Scott.

Curiosity clearly got the best of the sluglien in command of my body as his curiosity led him to quickly guide my hands further and further down my new strong torso. He inquisitively felt my warm tanned skin slightly exposed between my shorts and slinkily thin shirt. Excitedly yanking the shirt up.

One hand held the thin shirt up while the other rubbed over my furry torso. Slowly getting me riled up as I felt my new meat growing way thicker than mine ever did. Eventually he lifted the shirt off me and I let it happen.

The sluglien was braver than I ever was. Boldly rubbing his hand down my meaty slabs of pecs and rushing under my waistband eager to expose myself to both of us for the first time.

Eventually the sluglien stopped to my surprise. What was he doing? I never really noticed but I guess I was somewhat conventionally attractive. Watching my former body saunter in front of me was so sexy. I wanted to get up and make out but he pushed me back into the seat and began poking and prodding before immediately pulling my daddy meat out and sticking a finger in my mouth.

I had it. I whipped my former hand out of my mouth and guided the sluglien to the bedroom. Stripping of his clothes one piece at a time. Eventually I pushed him to lie down on the bed. Flexing for good measure as I picked up his legs.

My body always wanted this and I never believed I’d be the one to fulfill the dream in this position. I put my new meaty arms down and started stroking my thick rod. This was it as I felt it pulsing and hardening. I told the sluglien to breathe in and prepare for pleasure. I tried to go slow but I got too excited. Once I got close to entering pleasure hit me quickly. My former body began to wince from the pain I’m sure this tool was inflicting on it.
Soon those groans turned to moans. I was gonna make him have the best night he’d ever have. I’ve had fantasies about this and I was gonna make every single one come true…literally.

A Golden Half-Time Show

The Golden Knights, dressed in gleaming golden uniforms, faced off against the Emerald Titans. The first half of the game had been a fiery dance of strategy and brute strength.
As the players trotted off the field, the stadium's anticipation grew palpable. The air was electric, charged with the anticipation of the grand spectacle that was about to unfold. The Golden Knights had a reputation for their unforgettable half-time shows.
As the preppy boys led by Maximus left the field, in the control room, high above the field, the PDU Units 039 and 110, checked their monitors. The screens flickered with a pattern of lights, each unit a pixel in a grand design that would soon be painted across the sky. The instructions were clear: execute the show with precision, timing was everything.
"Command 1 executed," 110 said, their voice a crisp, controlled whisper.
The lights of the field faded to black, plunging the stadium into darkness. The sudden change from the glaring brightness was disorienting, and the roar of the crowd was replaced by a tense hush. The darkness was broken by a single, pulsing green beam of light that sliced through the air, followed by another, and another. The beams grew more numerous, weaving and dancing in an intricate pattern that painted the night with a kaleidoscope of color.

As the lights converged, a golden laurel emblem grew into view. The emblem was situated at the fifty-yard line, a symbolic center of power and victory. The Golden lights grew brighter, outlining the golden leaves with a stark contrast that made the emblem appear almost three-dimensional. It pulsed with a rhythm that matched the collective heartbeat of the stadium, a silent yet powerful declaration of the Knights' dominance.
"Command 3 executed" 110 and 039 again:
The band of uniformed golden figures marched onto the field. Their gleaming instruments reflected the vivid Golden lights, creating a mesmerizing symphony of visuals. The precision of their steps echoed the rhythm of the drones above, and the crowd held its breath as they took their places, perfectly aligned. The Golden Knights' half-time show was renowned for its grandeur, but this year's performance promised to surpass all expectations.
The music started, a powerful, haunting melody that seemed to resonate through the very bones of the stadium. The audience watched, hypnotized by the synchronicity of the performance. The players from the Emerald Titans looked on from the sidelines, their faces a mix of awe and determination.
As the intensity of the music grew, the uniforms began to shimmer and pulse with the same rhythm. Tiny lights embedded in the fabric of their clothing danced in time with the beat. The effect was stunning, a visual symphony that had the fans on their feet, clapping in time with the music.
Without warning, a cloud of smoke began to billow out from beneath the band's formation, rising up to meet the drones. The smoke was thick and golden, obscuring the players momentarily. It swirled and twisted, as if alive, forming shapes and patterns that mirrored the movements of the drones above. The crowd gasped as a giant, fiery phoenix emerged from the cloud, its wings spread wide in a display of fiery dominance.

As the music reached its crescendo, the smoke cleared to reveal the band dressed in sharp black polo shirts with the Golden laurel emblem emblazoned in gold. The crowd roared in amazement at the sudden transformation. The players' instruments now matched their new attire, gleaming in the spotlight like obsidian jewels. Their movements grew more fluid, their steps perfectly synchronized as they played.
The Polo Drone Units, the symbol of devotion and efficiency had been revealed.
110 and 039 watched the spectacle unfold from the control room, their eyes glued to the screens. They had rehearsed this moment countless times, but seeing it come to life was nothing short of exhilarating. They exchanged a knowing glance, and 039 allowed a rare smile to flicker across their face. "It's going better than we could have hoped," 110 murmured, their voice filled with pride.
“And it’s only going to get better now….” said 039, a small hint of satisfaction slipping through the focused and blank tone as he pressed the button
Together, in unison, the two drones announced, “Command 4 executed.”

The drones watched from the control room as the stadium pulsed with golden light, the laurel emblem on the field shining like a beacon of victory. The Polo Drone band played on, their movements sharp, disciplined, precise—but in the stands, something else was stirring. The energy of the performance seeped into the crowd, the rhythm of the music syncing with their heartbeats, their breathing, their very being. The golden smoke that had cloaked the field now drifted outward, rolling over the spectators in slow, shimmering waves. It clung to their skin, warm and inviting, sinking in, spreading. Muscles tensed, postures shifted, uniforms shimmered—change had begun, seamless, inevitable. And just like the show itself, it was all part of the experience.
The golden glow spreads across their skin like molten light, sinking deep into muscle and bone. Their bodies refine, swelling with effortless athleticism—pecs pushing firm against their tightening jerseys, abs etching into sculpted ridges beneath glistening fabric. Arms thicken with power, biceps flexing unconsciously, their hands gripping the seats with newfound strength. Their thighs swell, filling out their shorts, calves tightening into pure, explosive muscle built for speed and endurance. Every inch of them is perfected—lean, powerful, built for competition. Sweat glistens on their golden skin, but they don’t notice. They don’t think.
Faces shift into the ideal of masculine beauty—sharp-jawed, square-chinned, their expressions fixed in a confident, easygoing grin. Their eyes lose sharpness, their thoughts slowing, heavy beneath the weight of raw physicality. Speech fades into simple grunts and easy chuckles, shoulders rolling as they bask in the post-transformation haze. The scent of musk and sweat fills the air, thick and intoxicating, but none of them react. The game is all that matters, their golden bodies built to cheer, to support, to exist in this perfect, thoughtless moment.

They keep watching, eyes glazed with a dull, blissful focus, their powerful bodies barely shifting except to pump a fist or let out a mindless whoop. They don’t question what’s happened—they wouldn’t even know how to. Their world is simple now, reduced to the game, their team, and the endless, buzzing satisfaction of being strong, golden, and ready.
Without much warning the tempo shifts. The fervent beat erupting pride and strength shifts quickly to something more structured…more focused. The large screens around the stadium flared to life with large pulsing spirals that draw the gaze of all in attendance. The roar of the crowd fading into a quiet focus across the entire stadium.

The transformation starts with a subtle shift—backs straightening, shoulders squaring, bodies falling into a perfect, disciplined posture. Muscles firm beneath their clothes, their forms refining into lean, athletic precision. The glossy black material creeps over them, rubber seamlessly replacing fabric, molding to their bodies like a second skin. Polos tighten against broadening chests, gold trim glinting under the stadium lights, while sleek black pants form perfectly around their sculpted thighs. Their boots settle solidly against the concrete, polished, seamless, made for standing in unwavering attention.
Their minds smooth out as quickly as their bodies, thoughts slipping away like fog in the morning sun. No hesitation, no questions—only certainty, only obedience. The golden text shimmers across their chests, stamping out names, replacing them with designations: PDU-327, PDU-328, PDU-329. Numbers. Identities reduced, refined, simplified. They no longer need to think, to wonder, to question. Their purpose is clear. Their uniforms are perfect. Their stance is strong.

They remain in the stands, standing or sitting in perfect unison, watching the game with unwavering focus. They cheer when required, voices deep, steady, controlled. Not rowdy, not wild—efficient. Their minds buzz with quiet satisfaction, content in their role, their place, their uniform. 
Suddenly the tempo changes once more, the uniform steady beat shifting again. Taking on a happier, sillier, more playful tone. A sense of almost animalistic fun washed over the entire stadium with the rapid transition.
Their bodies remain sculpted in perfect rubber-bound form, but the rigid discipline they once held begins to loosen, melting into something more primal. The collars of the polos shifted slightly, forming into dog collars that tighten softly around their throats, snug and secure, their trim glinting beneath the stadium lights. At that moment, the rubber shifts even more, stretching seamlessly up their necks, molding over their faces. Muzzles extend forward, smooth and featureless, ears perking into rigid points atop their heads. The transformation is as effortless as it is absolute—one moment, they were spectators, disciplined and obedient. The next moment  they are something simpler. Something eager. Something playful.
Their posture wavers as instinct overtakes order, their perfect composure breaking as their boots scrape against the concrete. One by one, they drop from their seats, bodies lowering onto all fours as the change fully takes hold. Hands press flat against the ground, fingers curling, palms resting firm, built for stability over dexterity. Their minds sink, emptying into blissful simplicity, filled only with the deep, undeniable need to listen, to obey, to please. Thoughts no longer come in words, only impulses—stay still, wait, listen. Their muscles twitch with anticipation, their breath steady, controlled, ready.
The halftime music swells, deep bass reverberating through the stadium, and as if responding to an unheard command, the crowd erupts—not in cheers, but in sharp, eager barks. A symphony of sound rolls through the stands, thousands of glossy black pups adding their voices to the noise, their masked heads tilting upward in blind, obedient exhilaration. The game doesn’t matter anymore. Nothing matters but the rhythm, the control, the overwhelming, intoxicating unity of being one with the pack.

Fireworks erupt all around as the music reaches its crescendo, and from the center of the field, the grand finale ignites—a pillar of flame bursting skyward, twisting and writhing as it takes form. Wings spread wide, fire coalescing into shimmering feathers, each ember solidifying into gleaming gold. The phoenix rises, its body radiant, pulsing with power, and then, in one final, glorious eruption, it transforms. The fire condenses, hardens, reshapes into a towering figure of pure, divine strength. Herc stands at the center of the field, a golden god of muscle and might, his physique carved from perfection itself. Every ridge of his abs, every curve of his biceps, every fiber of his being radiates power and dominance. He flexes, his massive arms rising, muscles swelling, golden light pouring from his body, growing, expanding—unstoppable, undeniable.
Then, with one final, mighty pose, he explodes—a shockwave of radiant gold rushing outward in a blinding flash. For a moment, the world is light, pure and absolute, washing over everything, consuming the stadium, the field, the stands in divine brilliance. And then… it fades. The glow recedes, the energy disperses, and as the spectators blink against the afterimage, they find themselves back in their seats. Everything as it was before the show, their minds their own, left with only the lingering memory of the shared experience and a pleasant tingle all over as the show wrapped up and teams prepared for the game to resume.

NINA and the magic of VHS ✨📼
I think I just figured out a big part of how NINA works. here's how Brenner is "altering" past events.
something just hit me about this footage that's been staring me in the face this whole time.

before I come to my Big Point, let me establish a few things:
the camera codes don't match
s4 keeps giving us camera POV footage that's labeled per camera. we see codes like CAM 071, CAM 039 and CAM 114.

what's weird about that? nothing, except... here are what the tape labels in the NINA library look like:

alphanumeric codes like CAM B2, CAM A5, CAM TR2. not a single one with just the three-digit numerical codes.
k, put a pin in that.
the NINA library is so spotty
Brenner tells El, "Everything that took place in my lab was captured on video tape. Every success and every failure."
but the dates we saw in that closeup are so sparse. it takes only a dozen tapes to span a month of footage leading up to the massacre (a time period you'd think they'd save every second of):

no idea what a lot of these camera codes denote, but it's not too hard to guess RR means Rainbow Room.
I can tell you off the top of my head that there are four cameras in the Rainbow Room. and one in each corner of the training rooms, at least one apiece in test rooms, bedrooms, hallways. at least one apiece in observation chambers of test rooms - otherwise the One banishment footage wouldn't exist (is that a bit odd now that I think of it?).

and that's not including the tripod cameras with which are recorded close up footage like plinko and the cat.
so, why so few dates and camera angles?
@lilly-flowerr once kindly calculated an estimate about how many VHS tapes would be produced from 100+ cameras' worth of continuous footage for the duration of the HNL program and the result was in the ballpark of several million.
tbf, Brenner never claimed this was all the footage. so I figured, likely, this library actually just houses a pared-down selection of footage relevant to the massacre.

but the problem with that idea is... consider how when we see El get NINA'd with RR footage: she's being shown four views of the room at once. that's already impossible, based on the selection we see available in the library. there aren't even four RR camera views represented on that shelf, let alone all from the same day.

live feeds vs playback
I thought hey, if those camera POVs had dates and everything on them, why isn't that stuff on El's NINA videos? are they hiding that data to facilitate screwing with her?!??
which, yeah. but here's the One banishment footage that Brenner watches alone. no dates on that either:

so I went to look for other times we've seen lab playback to see if there are ever dates.

that's actually a plot point on the Hopper one because he decided the lab was lying to him about which night that footage was of - if the tapes showed dates onscreen, that wouldn't have been an issue.
so then I thought, ok, if that data doesn't appear on playback, it must only display on monitors showing live feeds, and that stuff doesn't actually get recorded onto it. right?
well here are some live lab feeds: El and the cat; detained Nancy and Jonathan; scientists watching Will's checkup; Owens directing Bob to safety from demodogs. no dates anywhere.

so... if there's no data on live feeds or on playback.... where ARE those dates on the NINA cameras being displayed? there's no internal viewer on those security cameras, like looking through a camcorder viewfinder, so it's not like it's merely "the camera's view" unseen by any actual entity.
so like... who's seeing that? how are we seeing that?
pin that too. I promise we're getting close.
OSD (on screen display)
quick bit of context for those who didn't grow up with VHS.
in VHS days, your video camera (if you had it configured to do so) would put the date onto your home movies. it wasn't a separate layer you could turn on/off after the fact, like DVD subtitles. if that feature was turned on while you were filming, that date was forever fused onto the footage itself. any time you ever played that tape back, you would see that date. there's no way to get rid of it.
osd however - PLAY PAUSE FFW and all that - those labels aren't fused onto the actual footage. they appear momentarily only as you navigate the tape with your VCR. DVD players do the same thing, you're probably familiar.
you can watch the osd labels appear/disappear as Joyce investigates Will's Halloween tape, while the date stays put.

they give us the live camera view of Bob (which has just the date) vs Joyce playing it back on her VCR later (which has the date and also osd). why the timestamps are different is a whoooooole other post.
so now that we're all on the same page about how dates vs. osd works on VCRs,
I'll bring you to the only time I DID find dates on lab playback:
4x6 when Brenner pops this tape in his VCR.
"who's even seeing those ?" Brenner. yeah, that's not my stunning realization. but look what we see up in the top left corner: osd. PLAY.

so here finally is my point: if PLAY appears on the screen as a result of Brenner hitting play on his VCR....
let me direct your attention to the upper left corner of that other footage:

Brenner is taping these past events, live, during NINA.
"how do you explain Little El showing up in some of the camera povs? brainwash her all you want, but she would show up big on a tape being recorded in 1986."
indeed! which is why I'm not going so far as to claim Brenner is recording The Actual Past. what I do believe is that he's recording El's memories of the past, in which she is Little El.
"and how are you gonna say Brenner is able to record El's memories right out of her head with a VCR? yes this is fiction, but VHS technology isn't. c'mon."
it's not actually that far fetched! El canonically has a very similar ability - it's been swept under the rug in comparison to the glamor of telekinesis, not used since season 1, but it's well established:

she not only can hear people remotely, but also relay what only she is hearing via radio/intercom to where others can then hear it.
Brenner was filming this test on a tripod camera, which wouldn't have been affected by the cut in power that happened when El started relaying. so he walked away from this moment with a recording of something only El was able to hear.

which is exactly how NINA works. add video technology, and there ya go. if it didn't already exist in 1983, this scene was Brenner discovering the concept.
onward:
Brenner's tapes aren't the tapes El is being shown.
watch this in 4x7: he inserts this tape, hits play, and then we cut to El in NINA, watching all the monitors flash to life with footage of herself in the infirmary for her bullying concussion.
the implication from the editing is that this particular VHS yields that particular footage for El to watch, but that's a false assumption they want us to make.

first, playing one VHS doesn't result in several screens with different footage rolling all at once. one VHS only holds one camera feed. all NINA's monitors can't be fed by one VCR.
second, "Infirmary" would most likely be abbreviated "I" or "IR". the tape he played said CAM TR2, which could stand for either Training Room or Test Room. El experiences 9/8/79 "memories" of both, so I'm not sure which this would be. regardless, it's not Infirmary.

third, as we've covered before, all the lab footage El is shown inside NINA is devoid of dates and cam codes. that's not characteristic of the tape we saw Brenner play in his VCR.
fourth, as we also covered before, not all the camera angles El's seeing are even represented on that shelf of massacre-month tapes.
so Brenner may indeed have captured everything in his lab on video tape, but the VHS library we and El are shown while he says that? pretty sure that's NOT what these tapes are.
it's implied that he's popping tapes into his VCR at the same time El's off in her memories. but if it's not for the purpose of showing them to her.... what is he doing with his?
"but nat, his finger hit play, not record."
well they're not gonna SHOW us him hitting record or we'd guess!
he's hitting play to get the tape queued up to the right spot to record on, which you gotta do with a VHS or else you could overwrite something important that's already on there.
if Brenner is recording whatever El is seeing, wouldn't that help explain:
the varying appearance of El as both big and little within the camera povs. at this moment, El is big because she's aware she's her current self (she's fully conversing with Brenner). this is definitely not really past footage, because it's not like Little El stood up on a chair and yelled into a camera in 1979. after this point though, she accepts what's going on and submits to the "memories" in which she is little, so she's seeing herself as little, so from then on she appears as Little El on the fresh tapes.

the different camera labeling within NINA and its library of tapes - they need to differentiate between old/real/fake/new camera views.
the sparsity of the VHS library - maybe only key moments need to be overwritten
this camera-yelling moment actually is a potential match for one of the tapes on the shelf. it's Sept 4, 1979, and it's in the Rainbow Room. CAM 071 09/04/79 could be the overwriting of CAM RR2 09-4-79. on the other hand, if that were true I'd expect to also see 09-4-79 training room and hallway footage to match those other povs we saw, and I don't, so idk.
the light circle game is the only NINA footage we ever get to see both live camera POV and playback of (although it's not actually the same moment, the dates and cams are different). the numeric camera code on both of these is part of my support for the numeric camera codes representing new footage.

regarding the date and cam code being different on those two bits of nearly identical footage…. what if I... plugged this into Multiplayer NINA theory real quick and said that maybe CAM 126 is fake-old footage that's been more recently rerecorded in someone else's NINA? that maybe that's what's on all of Brenner's tapes before he records El's new stuff onto them?
so here's my current thinking of how NINA works:
decide how you wish El remembered an event and compile cherrypicked real footage and/or staged footage supporting your version of events.
manipulate and gaslight El so that she doubts the veracity of her own memories.
drug her and throw her in a sensory deprivation tank where your selected footage clockwork-oranges her into "fully re-experiencing" your version of events.
presto! the most powerful person in the world now believes your version of events is true because she genuinely remembers it.
by means of El's electronic relay abilities (induced with a buttload of drugs), these false memories that only El is seeing, inside her mind, are displayed for all to see on monitor in NINA's control room.
pop a plain old tape into a plain old VCR and hit record, capturing whatever's on the monitor.
presto! now you have irrefutable original video footage of a past event that never happened.
now you can show that proof to someone else - the government, the media.... or perhaps more importantly another NINA subject, as an ingredient in your tampering with their memories.
so. I can't prove the ol' MindFucker4000 is also a time machine, not in this post, but I do still feel like there's time stuff involved as well. because I can't think of a way right now to claim that recording someone's manipulated memory of the past actually changes that past, meddles with timelines, etc.

There's actually not any legible text for a good bit of the episode's opening, so I thought I'd take some time to talk about an interesting Text Related Thing !
For a long time, I was trying to figure out if there was any method to the naming convention behind Asticassia's Student IDs. After I spent an embarrassing amount of time thinking about it, I realized I had never actually gone through the official website to check... and as it turns out, the convention is in fact stated right there !

The ID has 3 parts to it: The Student's year of admission, their department, and their personal id number.
Year of Admission: "K" denotes a Third-year student "L" denotes a Second-year "M" denotes a First Year
Department: "P" denotes the Piloting department. "M" denotes the Mechanical department "S" denotes the Management Strategy Department
Personal ID: It's a bit tough to denote exactly what the website means when it says "The personal number is determined by the hierarchy of the recommending companies," but my best guess is that it has to do with the rank of the company that submitted the student. (But is also probably affected by, like, the order of admission...)
So, for example, Miorine's ID is LS001. So: L - Second Year S - Management Strategy Student 001 - Considering her dad is President of the Entire Group, it makes sense that her personal number is 001.
Guel - KP001: K - Third Year P - Piloting Department Student 001 - As we discussed before, Jeturk Heavy Machinery was ranked #1 in the group when the story starts, so again, it makes sense that Guel's personal number is also 001. (This also shows that Personal Numbers aren't strictly unique across the whole student body, but within the combinations of Admission Year + Department)
Interestingly, Elan Ceres is KP002 and Shaddiq is KP003, despite how when the story starts, Grassley is rank 2 and Peil is rank 3 within the group. This could mean that maybe the companies were swapped when the two were admitted and ID's can't be changed, or that Elan was just admitted before Shaddiq.
Lauda is KP013, but since he was also definitely admitted by Jeturk, he might have just been admitted a little bit after Guel for some reason, maybe? Don't think too hard about it.
But knowing this tells us some other interesting things too!
For example, with the exception of Lilique, Suletta, and Chuchu, all the Earth House students have ID numbers in the 200s. (Except for Norea and Sophie but they don't count) Martin: KS229 Aliya: KM237 Till: KM231 Nika: LM236 Nuno: LM238 Ojelo: LM232 Suletta: LP041 Lilique: MS119 Chuchu: MP039
If I may make an assumption, this might be because a lot of the Earthian students didn't enroll with the recommendation of a company. (Aliya mentions in the 1st Drama CD that she and her family didn't know much of anything about Asticassia, and she enrolled to the school on her own.)
Running with this assumption, Chuchu might be so high up (at 039) because we do know for a fact that the people that sent her to the school are Mobile Craft Operators. She might have used the mobile craft company her family works for as her recommendation.

On the board at Earth House, we can see the to do list Lilique has written for business to take care of. TEXT: This week's online meeting schedule New applicants for investments Prepare budget sheet Final Adjustment of GUND prosthetics by operation test AERIAL repair status Ideas for increasing PV views
As we can see in the scene, the students are actually hard at work taking care of the things on the list. Lilique is in an online VOICE ONLY meeting, Aliya and Martin are working on the budget sheet, Ojelo, Chuchu, Nika, Suletta, and Nuno are working on the operation test, and Till and Miorine are checking on AERIAL (among other things)
Another cute touch is that before the founding of the company, the symbol on the back of the board was the Earth House Emblem, and now it's the GUND-ARM logo

God help me I don't know why of all the colors on god's green earth that they chose a light ass blue on white ass legs but Kaori Seki (Monitor/Graphics Designer) gives their toughest text to their silliest warrior. (me) My BEST Guess for what this says is: GUND MONITORING SYSTEM 01
I'm reasonably confident in GUND, SYSTEM, and 01, but i can only make out about half of "Monitoring." Considering the nature of the tests they're running on the legs, and how Ojelo says he's established a connection with them, I'm gonna go ahead with believing that I'm reasonably accurate with my reading.

Off topic, but something that's only funny to me is that, when Suletta shows Nika the Cool-san and Hot-san Keychains, the word she says is (accurately) translated as "Keychains," but the word she actually says is "キーホルダー" (Kii Horudaa) which literally translates to "Key Holder"
Suletta is called The Key to unlocking the door for Aerial, and she's also the Holder at Asticassia. She's literally a Key Holder herself! Ho Ho Ho!

Something we hear about every so often but never really get a broader look into is how Grassley appears to be swamped in a succession race, most likely because Sarius is concerned he might die soon and needs to leave the company to a worthy heir when that happens. Shaddiq was leading that race, and that's most likely why the position of Acting CEO fell to him when Sarius "disappeared."
Also there's something about how everything at Plant Quetta only happened because Sarius erroneously told his son about Jeturk's plan because he thought he could trust him.

Okay now it's time to talk about this fucking scene. I think about this fucking scene all the time.
Okay so first of all, it's an intentional allusion to El4n's habit of silently appearing out of nowhere. But something is very immediately and tangibly off about it this time. Firstly, whenever El4n would appear, he would always be approaching Suletta when he makes himself known. He never just stood and waited for her to show up.
Secondly, whenever El4n would appear, his appearance would swiftly be accompanied with the track Tell Me More About You, which is a calming piano piece that leads with El4n's main motif.

(Funnily enough, "Tell Me More About You" plays more often for El4n's appearances in the show than his actual theme, aptly titled "Elan Ceres." From what I can tell, this song only plays when Suletta brings Elan out of the destroyed Pharact and they have their moment.)
The song usually starts playing almost immediately as soon as El4n appears on screen, if not before. (It even plays when Original Elan is pretending to be him at the Incubation Party.) But in 5lan's initial confrontation with Suletta, there is NO music. NONE. There's not even background ambiance. It is DEAD silent for a MINUTE.
Up until Suletta tells El4n she can't date him because of Miorine, to which he responds that it's okay because "that's all a lie, isn't it?" At Which the song My Depression cuts in, which is a distorted, unsettling arrangement of El4n's motif.

AND THEN, when 5lan continues to come onto her and she shoves him and runs away, we cut to a shot of Original Elan talking to one of the Peil Witches (Nugen) about "That new enhanced person," stating out loud that the Elan we just saw ISN'T El4n.
This scene literally drives me crazy because it is utterly perfect in its execution but it feels like it came directly from an alternate version of the story where we as the audience didn't ALREADY KNOW El4n had been killed. LIKE, AM I CRAZY??????

Anyway, we are shown the same data sheet for 5lan that we saw for El4n in Episode 6. Not much to be said here, the DECISION CRITERIA is Rank A, the graph is empty, and his test results all show "NO ABNORMALITY" , presumably because 5lan hasn't piloted the Pharact yet. We unfortunately don't get a closer look at the EEG section in this shot either.

Not text, but we can see that on the greenhouse monitor, Miorine is looking at a mockup of the Prosthetic Legs. She's probably looking over the results of the operation test from earlier. And thus, we have reached the end. My final gift to you:

A Whovian Watches Star Trek for the First Time: Part 039 - Pa'nar Syndrome

Finally, a follow up to Fusion! As I said on my post about Fusion, how the aftermath of that is handled is going to massively effect my view of that episode, and this one too. T'Pol's character progression from that point needed to be handled with care.
The episode opens with Phloxx talking about some sort of deadly Infection that T'Pol has. The cold open leaves it vague, but later in the episode we find out it's a disease called Pa'nar Syndrome. The disease is a fairly obvious AIDS allegory. Incurable, slow acting and transmitted through Mind Melds, which Fusion previously used as a Sexual allegory. AIDS isn't topic Doctor Who ever really covered, at least not in the main show, and as a queer person I was born in 2001, years after the AIDS crisis had mostly faded from public consciousness, so this is relatively new ground for me, even if it had been a played out trope when the episode aired in 2003.
Since the AIDS epidemic is far from my area of expertise, I don't know if I can speak to how accurate the episode's allegory is, but it at least plays the topic with seriousness it deserves.
I do wish as a follow up to Fusion, it played more on the emotional ramifications of T'Pol having her consent violated during the mind meld, but this also was interesting to see. There is some emotional drama about T'Pol not wanting to tell the council about what was essentially her rape, I just wish it was more the focus. But if you're stacking two very delicate topics on top of eachother, one is going to be pushed to the side.
As the actual episode Starts, there is a lot going on. A Medical Conference, and one of Phlox's wives is there! And they're instantly really cute together. I love how they're both just all smiles and goo-goo eyes within seconds of seeing eachother. She then spends most of her time trying to seduce Trip, much to his confusion because of course doesn't realise Denobulans are polyamorous. It was a nice funny B-Plot to lighten up with the seriousness of the A-Plot.
The space station where this medical conference is happening is made up of some impressive for the time, although very dated CGI, it was still beautiful.
I enjoyed this episode, it certainly gave me a lot to chew on while watching it. I hope that T'Pol's Pa'nar syndrome does have a lasting impact. By the episode's narrative, the disease isn't curable, so it shouldn't just be kept confined to this one episode. The episode kinda left off on a bittersweet note of Yes, T'Pol can stay on enterprise, but things haven't really improved for the Mind-melding minority... It was an interesting way to end off.
