With an arched brow and a curl of lips, Shinso stepped out from the teacher's lounge, amused by the figure loitering in the hallway, her back turned. That vibrant red hair was unmistakable.

"Hear anything interesting during your eavesdropping?"

He liked Sara's company, probably more than he liked 85% of his peers. Shinso didn't mean anything bad by it — he just found it difficult to connect to them on a personal level. If he was transferred to the hero course, maybe he'd put in more of an effort to get to know more people. Until then, he was fine with sticking to his preferences and putting his energy into improving himself first.

"Aizawa-sensai was just going over some assignments while we're on the school trip." Shinso couldn't afford to slack on his training just because he was off school grounds; if anything, he was looking forward to trying out what he'd learned in a more open area.

"So, nothing all that exciting or gossip-worthy."

Abigail is now off to gather Blankets and Pillows, She can't Allow Shinso to be this cranky for his sake or else aizawa will be disappointed in both of them. She'll just have to convince him to properly sleep.

hitoshi finds that todoroki's advice isn't wrong—far from it. aizawa-sensei has told him not to be too hard on himself. it's something he's been working on, but he can't help but continue spending his leisure on training as an attempt to catch up with the students in the hero courses.

hitoshi has nothing against the members of class 1-A. a lot of them are more than deserving of their positions in that class, their powers and bravery already matching that of the pro heroes that he has seen. yet, he finds himself making snide comments and generally giving them trouble from time to time. part of his comments stem from envy; others come from his uncertainty on how to actually talk to the students who were ahead of him in terms of hands-on practice.

had he been before bakugo right now, the banter would've continued, but his classmate has a cooler temperament. something hitoshi is thankful for at the moment as the sun's heat beats down on him, making him feel as though he might melt at any second.

hitoshi's eyes go from todoroki to the cool treat in his hands back up to his face. there's no ill intent on the other student's expression. freeing his hand from the refuge of his pocket, hitoshi hesitantly takes the packed bar. he waits until the two-toned hair student opens his ice cream bar to take a seat beside him.

"thanks," he says, ripping the plastic from his own treat. "must be nice having a quirk that produces ice at a time like this, huh?"

Instead he opened                        up the convenience store  bag and  pulled out two ice cream                         bars. Today had been an unberably hot day even for him, so                        a cool treat didn't seem  to  be  a  bad  option. He glanced at                         the extra he had gotten before extending it to SHINSOU.

all smite. toshinori yagi grew up in the golden age of crime and wished to see the chaos become order. upon receiving ofa, he aimed to do exactly that. all smite became the symbol of peace through unparalleled power, but at what cost? his protection of japan was certainly not free, and the pillar he became was not one of heroism. he became a shining light to the underground and the common folk alike. though all smite’s criminal activity was common knowledge, he was the country’s protector. what’s better than the devil you don’t know?

through decades of strategic work, planning, and shows of power, all smite became the number one criminal in japan. almost every criminal organization (including the yakuza) works for or with him. he does fight criminals who dare to operate against him, however.

this includes all for one. their constant tango is canon even in this verse. after he’s injured in one of their fights, all smite realizes he must find a successor. that successor is found in a young and impressionable bakugo. (this period of time is where i typically write interactions in this verse.) he trains the young boy to rise up and one day take his place with the embers of one for all.

all smite operates out of multiple warehouses and areas. the main one he can be found at is a fight ring disguised as a warehouse. upon stepping in, there’s a massive theater with a caged fighting ring in the middle. on either of the walls, bars where the best drinks and drugs are being sold at the best price. deeper into the room are tunnels leading to other warehouses, and a backstage room for fighters. up above it all is the vip section. all smite can be found there, usually in meetings or watching fights from his throne. occasionally, he will take up a fight if challenged, though he is always the winner!

after he kicks afo’s ass for the last time, he loses those embers and must reveal his small form. don’t let this fool you, however, he’s still as genius as he was in his prime. just because he can now be outmuscled does not mean he can be outwitted. that said, his followers are still loyal to him, despite his appearance. he chooses to take a backseat, however, as bakugo matures and he falls into a more serious relationship with nullify.

outburst. a villain verse for ms joke heavily tied to the verse mentioned above. she’s best friends with nullify, and allies herself as a mercenary beneath all smite’s authority.

izuku. somewhat tied to this verse, and im still working out the details, but she’s found and taken in by kai chisaki in high school. she’s an inventor for the hassaikai and offers valuable insight against heroes.

shinso. tied to isa’s nullify, shinso is nullify’s protege and has begun accompanying him on missions and jobs.

i also write general villains like overhaul, if you’re looking to work with the shie hassaikai. skeptic is also available for mla/plf stuff. ofc, i have some lov baddies. and lastly— she’s not added yet— but i do have lady nagant if you’re looking for a gun for hire.

What's your opinion on people in the MHA verse that lack physical enhancer Quirks but are still superhuman? Like Stain, Endeavour, Shigaraki, etc. Stain is just absurd in how tough he is, Endeavour was taking blows from Hood and Shigaraki, and Shigaraki managed to close the gap between himself and Tsuyu during the USJ without them being able to react despite the distance. It's like certain people are superhuman despite their Quirks not being enhancers and the explanation is just 'they trained'.

In general, I don't mind it. For one, it's something that comes with the nature of the medium, especially with shonen. No matter how average a character is supposed to be, there needs to be some leeway with what they are physically capable of. This is especially the case when it comes to what they can survive. Second, it's not that intrusive to the setting. Quirks always have been and always will be the major factor in a fight. The other abilities are just there to complement them and make other fights more entertaining, similar to how support equipment works. Aizawa is a good example of this. If he only had his "Erasure" and nothing else going on with him, I believe that he would be less interesting, both as a fighter and as a character, since he only has the single gimmick. Third, while the characters are certainly performing superhuman feats, that's only compared to regular humans. They are nowhere near the level of Quirks. Again, it only works in a supportive manner with the main power system. You can say Tomura is quick, which makes him a much bigger threat with "Decay", but Iida is still going to run circles around him.

Finally, I think it's prevalent enough to become a notable trend and isn’t just applied to "certain people". Less of an exception and more of the rule. Because if you look at the whole of My Hero Academia, there are plenty of examples of characters performing downright inhuman feats that aren’t related to Quirks, both from natural abilities and from someone training their body. Things like Mina’s amazing agility dodging lasers, Spinner wielding that massive blade, and everything Shinso accomplished in such a short span of time. And do I even need to mention the numerous times that characters should have died from their wounds, or at least been knocked unconscious from the sheer pain they experience? Then there are all the insane mental feats in the series. Mei isn't even old enough to drive, and she's running around making these amazing pieces of technology from moment to moment. It’s why I’ve always pushed the idea that humanity evolved with Quirks as an in-universe explanation for all of this. That, in general, humanity was notably better once Quirks came around. That the floors and ceilings of a human’s capabilities were much higher when compared to us. It works to explain those feats while still keeping with what we've been told.

Surprisingly enough, for all their differences, things with Bakugou were easy. Once they'd gotten past their aggression and antagonism from the early days, of course. But all that was long behind them, and when the blond tugged his head back to lean over the back of the couch and steal a kiss, he was all too willing to let him. As if he would ever protest a kiss to begin with.

His own hand lifted to lightly curl around the back of Katsuki's head, threading through blond strands of hair to hold him close and encourage the kiss to linger for a while. He kept it soft and surprisingly chaste, keeping his hand where it was even when the kiss broke so that he couldn't just pull away and walk off. Lips curled into a soft, pleased grin as he cocked his head a little, studying the expression on Katsuki's face for a few moments.

I posted this shit a month ago and then never elaborated but since everyone is talking about villain verses, I was reminded. I actually have two villain verses in my thoughts. One where Shota is a villain from out the gate, and one where he is a hero that falls from grace. This post might be a bit long. You also may notice, I do love writing plots focused on moral relativism.

Bad to the Bone:

The first AU isn't really developed at all. But! I do know what route that I want to go down. I love writing villains who are bad simply for the sake of being bad/take pleasure in doing bad things. The thing with my Shota that makes this semi-difficult is that I gave him two parents who have very strong moral convictions. And yet, at the same time, I prefer it that way. I always try to steer away from the tropes like

good parents = good people

bad parents = becoming a better/stronger person.

bad parents = bad kid

Sometimes people are just assholes regardless of upbringing. But, given that Shota's parents very much push for Shota to have empathy and have a good sense of justice, I do think that it would have been a factor outside of the home that drives Shota down the villain route. But, I'm still missing some sort of MO or turning point for him. Hell, I might even go down the route of Shota's behavior having always been devious. He does like to lie after all/deceive people. Shota can also be rather selfish at times as well.

Fallen from Grace:

Note: For some context, I typically don't have a 'main verse' when I write things & generally give partners that choice of deciding if they want my other RP shenanigans to be part of our story building, which is why you'll see every thread tagged as 'verse;' instead of 'main'. However, if I ever make a reference to Silver Aizawa, @rcguish is the Silver in question. Silver is Shota's adopted child who has made his way into the hero course and Shota would do anything to protect him.

As far as the plot goes, Shota has found himself in a predicament that is much like Dabi's situation with Endeavor. Someone/a villain is trying to make the point that Japan's heroes aren't as noble as they would like to appear to others. At their core, they are self-serving, cowardly and not inherently good people.

Shota is given "The Trolley Problem" in a real life setting. The villain has allowed Shota to make the the choice of Silver's life or the lives of a handful of civilians. Before the question is even asked, Shota already knows his answer. It's Silver. It was always going to be Silver.

The situation at hand is broadcasted or done in a very public setting. This results in pretty bad social backlash for Shota and his career. Let's be real here though, Shota doesn't care what people think, he never really has, but it's hard to be a hero when people think you're selfish and heartless. He loses his job at UA and work is hard to come by. Shota doesn't mind working a 9-5 or a late night job, but it becomes one bad thing happening after another.

Eventually, a family member/friend/lover who lost a person out of those few civilians Shota let die, kidnaps and tries to hurt Silver as an act of vengeance. Shota may not be a pro-hero anymore, but that doesn't mean that he has lost his skills, and that includes tracking people. Shota finds them and between his life crumbling and the rage of seeing Silver in such a poor state, something in him just snaps and he ends up killing Silver's captor. And Shota knows there is no going back from that, so he might as well embrace this new way of life, right?

Note: As I mentioned above protecting Silver is the MO in this instance but this can apply to anyone Shota cares about; Eri, Shinso, Hizashi & Midnight or family. I just think that the weight of the situation is heavier/more impactful when it's the son that Aizawa has raised and cared for.
