WEEHEE Rose and Mina r in a qpr [w Kirishima also] since Mina and Rose r both aromantic ALSO um this got long so I'm putting it under a read more !!

Rose starts out very awkward w Mina- considering Shinso had been her only friend for a long long while, befriending someone who's very talkative and loud made him kinda curl in on himself. Xe had no problems with a surface-level friendship and could keep up with Mina for the first few interactions, but Mina considered those to mean they're close friends now and started inviting Rose more and more

Rose is like ..... type of person who leaves people because she's afraid of getting attached [despite the fact he's already attached] and there's a point where xe completely ignores Mina for a while due to this fear Mina'll leave HIM once he's "no longer amusing to her", and Mina's really hurt by the no contact and confronts her about it, and they argue and tears are shed but then they talk it out :33 Mina checks in more often and gives xem outs during hangouts and Rose initiates physical affection and conversations more .... they get to a point where Rose is comfortable enough to spend nights over at Mina's and being able to unwind w her . They're SO dear to me literally thank you so much for giving me an opportunity to ramble about them .... ♡♡♡♡

-->And then, at last, it was off to the store for the Final Push! Victor started things off by Copypastoing a bunch of fireflies for Smiler to make Spirit Lifter Gummies with, then hopped on the flower-arranging bench to make more arrangements while Alice and Smiler headed downstairs to the processing room. Smiler focused on making their gummies and Red Hot Tablets, while Alice puttered around making boxes of cheese and mayonnaise and cleaning spoiled food out of the fridges. It wasn't long until she'd made enough boxes to completely fill that one shelf by the fizzy juice fridge! :D

-->...Which mean I now had nothing to do with her, as we didn't need any more prepared food or meat and Smiler and Victor were handling the products we DID need. Wanting to keep her busy and out of the way, I decided to have her go paint the mural on the side of the building with a nice cityscape. This was made a bit more difficult by my Sims getting stuck idling a lot for some reason this session -- something that I THINK was related to Smiler making the Red Hot Tablets on their apothecary bench, as it seemed to happen primarily while they were busy with that. I'm not sure WHY -- perhaps the bench needs some updates. (I mean, we already have this weird animation thing where Smiler spins around AWAY from the bench whenever they complete making some gummies...) They never full-on FROZE like that one time where Alice got completely stuck in the kitchen, but still -- it was weird.

-->Anyway -- even with the idling bug, the trio managed to keep busy! Smiler kept making gummies and tablets; Victor kept making flower arrangements; and Alice kept working on her mural! And all the while, the shelves kept filling up more and more with the product of their labors... Well, Smiler and Victor's labors, as Alice had already done HER bit. XD

Sobs - Air Guitar

From burnout often comes the most necessary artistic turnarounds, and that has never been truer for Sobs. Dropping into the 2010's indie pop scene with 2017's wonderfully pensive Catflap EP and their full-length debut Telltale Signs the year after, Sobs' relaxed bedroom pop sound made their hooks and chewy melodies land immediately and the trio's charm readily apparent, but it limited them to the point they needed to start exploring new ideas before stepping up to the plate again. Vocalist/guitarist Celine Autumn found herself embracing the brash and bold colors of hyperpop on her 2021 Cayenne EP, co-produced with Sobs bandmate Jared Lim, and the sugarcoated sound of those four glossy electropop tunes infects Sobs' jangly indie rock by way of 90s power pop and electronica, their sophomore album Air Guitar four years in the making with all the sharpness and perfection you'd expect from that timeframe as Autumn sings of cold romances and the anxiety of a sparkly new relationship with Lim's production and engineering evoking everything from skater punk to 90s twee pop to 80s new wave as he brightens up all the corners and leaves no area without a splash of neon paint. It's a constant rush of energy coming at you, but Sobs refuses to let a second of Air Guitar go to waste, their post-internet stew of modern production and classic indie rock formulas full of life and spotless no matter where you look. Lighter and lovelier than most of their fast-paced indie rock contemporaries, Sobs take advantage of power pop's huge choruses and crisp melodies in a myriad of genres, their inspirations ranging from Advantage Lucy's playful indie pop to C86 jangle pop to Weezer-indebted pop rock as Air Guitar scales up and down the trio's ambitious tree of ideas. Lucked Out stuffs a verse, two choruses and a bridge into less than two minutes, Autumn challenging herself to write the catchiest melody possible while Lim and Raphael Ong riff on noisy guitars and Shaun Khiu's killer drum work - his contributions to the album a constant delight whether it's the plain backbeat groove on Dealbreaker or LOML's four-on-the-floor kick & snare along with flashy drum fills when the moment calls. These are just some damn good pop songs, whether it comes in the form of Friday Night's drum 'n' bass-infused electropop, the grungy power pop highlight Burn Book, or a lighthearted Gwen Stefani in the case of Cool, Sobs' embrace of bigger instrumentation and hefty hooks holding onto the warmth and enclosure of their previous releases while making songs big enough to fill an entire stadium. Air Guitar is plain and simple indie pop through and through, but Sobs provide such a thrilling spin on things that they end up in a league entirely of their own. What balances all this bubblegum pop magic out is Autumn's songwriting and the band's thoughtful detours, Air Guitar's lamentations on unavailable love and the ache of new romance not just a layer of melancholy draped on top of raucous indie pop tunes but a core part of how the music unfolds. On the title track, sparkly synths and distortion-coated guitars play of the dissonance of an unnurturing partner she can't quite seem to drop ("I was searching for peace / But you swept through like nature / Changed the trajectory"), too nervous to officially end things but desperately searching for escape in the song's glimmering guitar work and tense percussion, and the post-punk kick of World Implode on the album's back half constructs a shoegaze noise wall around Autumn's most tender feelings of of imposter syndrome and held-back desire ("Is it weird, though I try to, I could never forget? / Does it make it any easier for us to pretend?"). Indie rock has existed at the intersection of introspection and escape for as long as easily accessible recording equipment has been around, but Sobs truly take advantage of it as technicolor swirls of noise pop (LOML) and synth-soaked jangle pop (Dealbreaker) juxtapose sensitive and heartfelt writing that draws from the history of confessional rock music without bending to its will, Sobs' own wavelength guiding them everywhere they go. Air Guitar is lovingly crafted pop songs with a dimension of depth and diversity to them few other bands can match, Sobs able to cram a discography's worth of ideas into 30 minutes and distill only the best elements of their music into these ten tracks regardless. It never feels overstuffed or hodgepodge because Sobs knows exactly how much they can fit into a good pop song before it completely bursts, always pushing the boundaries with Friday Night's surprise ending or the 90s grunge-pop kick of Burn Book but never losing tipping the scales too far one way. After four years of absence, they've absolutely nothing to lose and use the opportunity to try anything and everything with Air Guitar, their sublime hooks and fun instrumentation unsurprising for a trio so well-versed in indie pop but absolutely stunning in how they're contorted to execute some of the coolest ideas rock music has ran into this year. Air Guitar risks it all going for a home run time and time again, but they land every swing so solid that it's impossible to imagine how these songs could have turned out any other way.

Entrapta Character Analysis

Facts:

Appears her parents are dead or left her. A photo of her with robots implies maybe she was raised by robot nanny/butler or the like

Lives almost alone in her castle

Is distant even from the people she lives with. Even has traps keeping people out of her castle

Analysis:

Entrapta plays a key role in the story and has the strongest impact on the plot proper beside the main four leads and the villains. She is a princess enough to be considered for the rebellion however is not one of the elemental princesses so she does not have a spiritual connection to the planet or first ones. She also differs to the other princess in that she is not shown to really have a kingdom she is ruling. Her caste is not surrounded by villages. Brightmoon has people they interact with and are part of the battle, Perfuma is directly protecting people, Mermista references people fleeing and w see a city structure close to Frosta's palace. Entrapta’s problem is also self-contained and not shown as an attack from the horde. This further separates her as her motive doesn’t seem connected to the Horde but more just because she liked glimmer and it was related to her interest in First One's tech.

Entrapta seems to not have ever been close to her parents they are never referenced by the story and not even depicted in art like others we only see a painting of her with two robots. Having this drawing while likely a gag does draw attention to this, unlike Perfuma who does only reference them by noting they left the rebellion. Entrapta is also not to be close to the only other three people we see live in her kingdom. Her cook/servants don’t even show that much concern for her when she is likely in danger, even annoyed by the way she designed her palace.

She is shown to be emotionally to her robots though. Many have names and she doesn’t want to break them immediately trying to even reason with one. She is shown to do the same later with a robot she fixes while in the Fright Zone. Technology, in general, is her strong suit and something she cares deeply for. She is also extremely interested in melding magic with science. This connection and dedication to robots and her science even override keeping other people safe.

Entrapta does, however, want friends and connections to people who will support her. After our main trio helps her stop the robots she easily agrees to join the princess rebellion.  She is sociable enough at the Princess ball, she does miss the obvious arguments between Catra and Adora but does seem to want to be there. Even if it is in her own style taking notes on the people and eating tiny food.

Entrapta helps the rebellion sneak into the horde to save Glimmer and Bow after they are captured. She wants to be their friends but also still seems to not quite get the gravity of the problem or really what the Horde is. She gets distracted multiple time putting her companions in danger. This distraction results in her being trapped in the Fright Zone and her rebellion friends believing her to be dead. She then spends a while hiding in vents and working on a horde robot she named Emily.

After Catra finds Entrapta in the vents they capture her to find information on the rebellion. As Catra realises she does have information Entrapta is easily manipulated by Catra who lies saying the rebellion left her on purpose. Catra intentionally leaves out that they thought she was dead when she shows interest in Entrapta’s knowledge of Etheria and First Ones Entrapta is extremely excited. Noting someone actually wants to hear her theories, she also responds well the Scorpia they are both slightly obvious but overall easy going when not worked up.

Entrapta is easily used by Catra and they end up almost killing the forest and Bright Moon in general.  She seems to only see her work, the robots and likes being around people who show interest in her. This degree of blindness goes past generally not taking a side in the war. This degree of not taking a looking at what the effects of her experiments feel a bit willfully oblivious. Catra is very wrong for manipulating her by offering somewhat feigns friendship, and i know she doesn’t have much of a choice in the end. But there is still a bit of a problem in creating a weapon of potential mass destruction and being aware of exactly who will die and not showing remorse or aversion.

I don’t think she is actively malicious and it is most truly a struggle with thinking down the line and hyperfocusing. However, i think at some point she should learn to at least take a step to think when making large decisions and think about the effects. I recognize this is very hard, but some empathy or sympathy activation could be good here, we know she cares about her new friends and i think having to think she would have willingly hurt friends could help her grow.

Expanding her relationship with Scorpia could also be good giving them both a close relationship with someone who isn't trying to decide how much to use them and stuffing caring about them down. Also, i believe her realising Catra did use her would help to be able to stop letting others use her tech to hurt people and be able to use her tech for herself again. And stop aiding in unbalancing a whole world.

Kiri and Mina hear Rose literally screaming insults so loud at his phone that they get ready to beat someone the fuck up . Phone call ends and Rose is huffing and puffing and clenching xeir fists and they ask her what's wrong what happened where do they live we just want to talk . Rose shows them the watch-history log of his and Shinso's shared acc and Mina and Kiri blink comically. Turns out Shinso watched 2 whole episodes of a show they always watch together despite SWEARING on his life he'd wait for her to finish class . Kiri is trying very hard to be sympathetic and Mina's giggling unabashedly
