since work is like half of someones life, ill mostly use this to describe their jobs and hobbies/stuff they do in their freetime. ill organize it by groups !

PROXIES (kate, toby, tim, brian)

Kate and Toby work on a farm cuz they need to get paid under the table for everything. Tim is a trucker, Brian is in carpentry

Toby spends a lot of of his free time just messing around. normal day looks like waking up, immediately trying to check who wants to hang out with him, then trying to do something fun, whether it be working out or bothering his friends or fixing stuff up or learning a new skill

kate just kinda follows toby around or spends her time walking around, putting up pages, sleeping, watching DVDs toby buys. normal day looks like waking up, being sluggish for hours at a time, eating, going for a run, watching movies, and whatever toby forces her to do

tim and brian work a LOT so a normal day to them is work, check on toby/kate, go to their shared apartment, eat, watch a movie, sleep, repeat. almost monotonous, but they prefer the stable routine over the unpredictability their life used to be under slendy

INFECTED (clocky, jeff, nina, liu, jane)

first arc, clocky is a waitress/bartender. days looked like sleeping in the barn, going to work, coming to the proxy cabin till toby irritates her, going to the barn, making art, listening to music, whatever. she eventually gets a tattoo apprenticeship and rents her very own studio apartment! still dedicates her days to work, friends, art, and taking it easy

jeff's days r kinda sad. he spends a lot of time just lounging around, fast food, music, movies, wasting time. he goes to a lot of underground shows where he can wear masks or get away with ppl thinking his face is SFX, but he cant really hang out in public half the time. lives in the barn. a medical mask goes a long way for him!

nina hops between a ton of jobs at first (waitress, hot topic, spencers, was even a receptionist at a hotel, just random stuff in general) before she ends up going to cosmetology school and falls in love with it, now does nails/hair fulltime. her days look like calling her friends, going out everyday(brunch, nightlife, shopping, etc), decorating her apartment, lots of fashion stuff, etc etc.

liu works a pretty basic office job just to get by. it was the first job he could get after wasting all his spendings in a downwards spiral to find jeff in alabama, but its quiet, simple, and the people are nice to him. he mostly does that and very simple stuff...puzzles, gardening, reading, films. very grandpa of him

jane starts as a private investigator, so her days look like being swarmed with work, going undercover, hours of research and stress. no time for hobbies, just work and taking care of her wife mary. eventually, she decides its too much for her (after liu hires her to investigate nina) and mary encourages a new career path - SO she becomes a college professor for law/criminal justice/something along those lines! days look like volunteering, teaching, organizing, walks in the park with mary and sally, gardening, just a much softer, cozier life

ZALGOIDS (jack, lazari, ann, lulu, dina)

jack 'works' as a human remains disposer on the dark web, so his income is Plentiful and he doesnt have to spend a dime on food, since he just eats the corpses he's disposing of. his days look like listening to audiobooks/documentaries, cooking for people he loves, learning as much as he can, tending to the proxies(as 'rent' to stay in slendys forest), teaching lazari as much as he can, spending time with his friends, gardening

lazari lives with jack! he almost homeschools her, so she spends a lot of time learning, drawing, dressing up, watching cartoons, gardening. i think itd be cute if she befriended ben cuz theyre abt the same age, but theyre like...so different. maybe this is how she starts spending her free time idk LOL

ann and lulu are VERY zombie-like. they literally just sit in the hospital/lake are all day long, roaming and talking and dozing in and out of reality. when the proxies come to check on them, theyll chat, but its nothing else. it's not really 'boring' for them, cuz theyre so trapped in timeloops and stuff, so yk

dina is just tearing apart the forest and trying to survive. she cant leave it because the slender pages keep zalgoids trapped in the forest, but she refuses to work with the proxies - so she's constantly on the run, constantly killing and eating animals, constantly in fights when shes trying to take down the pages, etc. eventually she'll settle down, but thats for later

PARANORMAL (ben, sally)

ben is chronically online im sorry. genuinely spends every waking moment online, but like...literally inside the computer. he loves the internet, loves online cultures, loves all you can learn about it, loves drama and causing problems. his days look like the internet, video games, and hanging out with jeff (and maybe toby or jack)

sally lives with jane. her days are pretty simple, just wandering around janes house, the neighborhood, whatever. watching cartoons, coloring, talking to mary (janes stay at home wife), whatever.

The Web - God of Fate (she/it): im pretty happy with her design atm, shes meant to be a half spider half woman thing and i love that for her. shes probably the one ive thought the most on so far given her importance to the story. i want her to wear silks and shiny silver jewelry that just sparkles like wet spiderwebs do, not sure if im gonna keep the veil?

The Dark - God of the Dark (she/he/it): probably my weakest concept at the moment. it doesnt do the dark any justice. i mean i like the cloak idea but i want them to be very tendrilly, all consuming, shadowy, but i dont know how to properly portray them :/

The Desolation - God of Destruction and Fire (they/it): i have a neat vision for them! i want them to be made of coal and ash and smoke, to be burning and glowing on the inside, and their body is decorated with melted wax to look like clothes. not quiiiiiite sure about how their melty candle dress is now? i want it to be less constrictive

The Stranger - God of the Unknown and the Whimsical (he/she/they/it): it's meant to be this. weird wirey creature hidden behind masks and a lot of fabrics, like the framework of a poseable plush doll? i like the way the masks look but im not so sure about the body.

The Vast - God of the Above (she/he/they/it): im not so sure about his design at all im gonna be real. i want them to look like the atmosphere and be covered in clouds and have mountains for feet and an ocean cape but i feel like it might be a bit?? idk??? im just not that happy with it :/

The End - God of Death and Time (they/it): ugh i love this concept sm, making death read as less scary and more divine is so fun. theyre based on a seraphim and a sand timer,

The Buried - God of the Underneath (she/he/they/it): ANOTHER OF MY FAVORITES!!!! i love them. theyre inspired by hermit crabs!! and they have silver chains holding their shell to them. they look so endearing with their lil lopsided eyes ;; <3

The Flesh - God of the Body and Meat (she/he/they/it): i have so many ideas for the flesh y'all- im very excited to do a concept sheet for them. theyre meant to have no skin, just exposed bone and muscle, large limbs, hooves, exposed heart underneath a ribcage, teeth that close around their abdomen. white bandages that wrap around like clothes. a teeth/horn crown? i dont quite know whether to go for a more animalistic look or a more human one? like- theres so many ways to go with him idek!!!

The Hunt - God of Predators and Pride (they/it): see, i like this design but i feel like its too werewolf like? yknow? thats cool!! but itreads more monster to me than God :/

The Corruption - God of Nature, Rot, and Disease (she/they/it): i love this weird bug thing. this one i was really inspired for (mostly because. corruption aligned. so obviously im gonna think about this one alot) theyre this weird bug thing, the veil is inspired by the one from the art on the wiki! i want to maybe make them a bit more gross and weird because nature is like that sometimes, a moot on tiktok suggested that i add animal bones!! and i think thats SO smart im absolutely going too

The Spiral - God of the Incomprehensible (it/its): this weirdo is so hard to pin down istg. i imagine them as this spiral thing. body is kindof liquidy, arms are spindly and long, multiple shifting faces, overall just constantly changing and moving and like!!! how am i meant to draw that??? when my brain cant even wrap my head around what its supposed to look like yknow??? bruh jrdbhgfjdldgfh- that being said i think the main problem with the design is that it just gives me too many Michael vibes!!! is it the hair? the arms? its probably both.

The Lonely - God of Solitude and the Self (they/it): i like what this one has going so far! theyve got fog hair, fog tears, their body is meant to be splotchy like turquoise marble, i vibe with it so hard. not so sure what to do with their outfit tho :/

The Slaughter - God of War (he/they/it): another one of my more stronger designs i think! centaur with weapons sticking into them, face concealed, medieval armor and antlers- it vibes

For your Just Say Yes au,has Dipper or Ford seen Stan ever since the apprenticeship?. Have they visited at all?,or are they too deep into their issues to care?. Plus how does Mabel fare with her new triangle possessed roommate?.

so a lot of people very justifiably point out that mabel and dipper WOULDNT have the same rift stan and ford do, especially not over something as small as what stan and ford did (the perpetual motion machine, which was the straw that broke the camels back) but i think that mabel and dipper end up going no-contact specifically because of the fact that they ended off bad with the opposite grunkles, but the grunkles also ended off WAY WORSE with each other. its sorta like this

its a very weirdmageddon 3 moment where both of them are acting like callous assholes (ford was being a jerk by trying to get the last word in and correct stan's grammar as an easy potshot, but stan ever since weird 3 started had been running his mouth about how stupid this is and how ford went and got himself captured. these old men are both equally immature, and i wont have people excusing stan's hiccups just because they find him more sympathetic) and then they end up hurting dipper and mabel in the process too.

ford probably ends up letting something slip about how the two of them together would be "limiting dipper's potential", which, of course, to mabel, makes it sound like he thinks she's dead weight, when ford really meant it in terms of "stan and i weren't allowed to be our own people either back then, some time apart may help you two mature and grow" but since he says it Like That, it comes off TERRIBLY.

meanwhile with stan- youve seen episodes like dreamscaperers and how he would act with ford in atots! he doesnt mean to a lot of the time, but stan's got a very quick mouth and often struggles with expressing vulnerability in a way that isn't sarcastic or fueled by impulse. he might be trying to stop the ensuing breakup but ends up accidentally yelling at dipper for trying to run off without his sister and that "he should really slow down and think things through because a sibling is something you never want to lose". but it comes out terribly for him, too. he doesnt say THAT its more like "ARE YOU EVEN THINKING ABOUT YOUR SISTER, YOU GOOBER?!"

and like i said before! the grunks are both in that sort of "stalemate" where theres no apocalypse to get them to talk about their feelings, and theyre both very patient men when it comes to holding grudges. so even though dipper and mabel WANT to, theres a lot of tension going on with everyone who isnt the two of them. so they feel like they cant

meanwhile i imagine mabel and billie get into some SHEEENANIGANS. classic college stuff, y'know? chaos, except specifically the human kind of chaos where you go bar-hopping and buy half-off concert tickets just cos and tape yourself to the ceiling when youre too drunk. its a way they can connect which is what billie wants (but bill's having a lot of fun too, admittedly)

THATS SO LOVELY, i know you didnt ask but.. im going to take this opportunity to talk a little about my stance on kubosai and saiki's sexuality.. i mean i have talked about it multiple times but still, lots of people dont see what i see in these things sooo im gonna keep talking about it lol..

i still see saiki as aroace personally !! just not romance repulsed aroace, rather just on the aroace spectrum.. i think hes the type of person to use 'queer' and 'aroace' as umbrella terms for himself instead of caring about specific labels, but if i had to, i would say he fits best with demi based on my interpretation.. (i usually see him as with no preference, but based on the text its easy to see him as having a preference for men too..)

i do get why people would see him as romance repulsed and its a lovely hc, but i see saiki as mlm, at least in the way i interpreted it.. i mean, he almost straight up says he has a crush on satou in the manga.. its great if people interpret it as a 'squish,' but i personally dont see that,, he kinda blatantly threw them in a romance chart together, blushes every time he sees him, etc. HOWEVER aroace people who relate in some way and project their experiences onto saiki will ALWAYS be valid, so i dont care !! i literally do that lmfao im an aroace lesbian,,

anyway, saiki has a lot of silly tsundere moments that lots of people who dont really look at the show past surface level (and usually dont read the manga) see as him literally hating his friends, family, romance, etc when its very much shown how hes being a tsundere and he LOVES his friends, family, AND romance.. (canonically loves romance not as in he definitely experiences romantic attraction, but as in he just is weirdly into love stories and such but wont admit it lmao, i talk about that chapter where he gets obsessed with those strangers love story he saw with psychometry but its just so good lol..) so i think that misinterpretation is where a lot of the discourse in this fandom comes from, like people who think he GENUINELY hates teruhashi ? they r literally best friends he cares about her so much..

kubosai is a ship i started loving, not really from seeing their canon interactions, but from analyzing the characters in the manga and seeing who i think would actually fit together and have a good dynamic..

im very weak for characters who are ashamed of their dark past, afraid of their own strength and that they might hurt the people they love, scared to tell their loved ones their secrets, etc.. and kuboyasu and saiki fit the bill perfectly, so i looked at them and immediately thought BOOM what if they were in love..

their dynamic is fun, even though we didnt get a lot of canon interactions.. theyre so similar yet SO different at the same time..

they both have pretty tragic pasts and family lives, both VERY protective of their friends and family and would do anything for them, both have bad coping mechanisms (mostly refusing to acknowledge that anything is really wrong at all), etc.. and yet, theyre almost opposites in the way they actually carry themselves..

saiki appears apathetic at all times in front of others even though his internal monologue or how he expresses himself when hes alone can be really emotional.. kuboyasu is pretty happy all the time even though he has pretty thinly veiled anger about half the time..

kuboyasu is just a human boy who was taught to take up as much space as possible for his survival, defend himself with his fists, honesty and loyalty and trust are essential, etc, while saiki is an almost-god whose upbringing taught him to try his best to take up NO space at all for his survival, dont get involved unless its from afar, dont get close with anyone, dont trust anyone, etc..

saiki prefers to protect his people from in the shadows, going as far as to literally stalk them to make sure theyre okay without their knowledge, while kuboyasu is unafraid to show how much he cares and prefers to literally come out swinging to protect his people.. put them together and you get two silly guys who will literally protect the other with their life despite knowing damn well that theyre both fully capable of protecting themselves..

kuboyasu is also like.. one of the only people in the cast other than saiki who can be like.. a voice of reason sometimes.. he would be so good for saiki and would make damn sure he knows when hes being irrational or dramatic (because cmon, its saiki.. hes such a drama queen all the damn time..) and i just think he needs that in his life..

yasu would reign saiki in when it comes to his everyday dramatics, and in turn saiki would reign yasu in when it comes to his over the top romance standards (and probably his anger issues and overreactions too..) and yet at the same time they would take comfort in each others silliness.. saiki may be like "we cant just drop out and get married, thats not how it works" but isnt it so refreshing for him to have someone that cares about him so unconditionally ?? unlike his own family ?? itd scare him at first, but hed make yasu tone it down to a healthier extent and itd become soo comfortable..

-triple changers are so amazing i love them. usually they are natural but i wish so much idw explored how they were treated under functionism. although apparently there was a specific military group for them that blitzwing was in?? also the tfa idea of them being built artificially is interesting, esp bc the creators confirmed that the multiple personalities of tfa blitzwing is inevitable for all triple changers.

-i love moral grayness when things are not so black and white and well defined. idw does this perfectly, with very bad autobots and good decepticons and plenty of neutrals like my beloved metalhawk. it goes to show how well idw creates a complex and layered universe. however as a comic it has more run time and room to work with than a show. but earthspark does this shockingly well for a kids show. there are hints of it in other shows, like tfp, but you need bad autobots and not just good decepticons.

-when will starscream get a redemption arc? it seems inevitable somewhere down the line, if megatron can get not one but two redemption arcs in es and idw. yes there was armada but that was more than ten years ago and he literally dies. there is ES but thats not even really a redemption arc and he turns around and is evil again. cyberverse could have had one but they scrapped the fourth season... i guess idw kinda had a redemption arc for him but also not really. a pretty standard morally ambiguous idw style arc

-i dislike most human characters. the plot can't work without them half the time, especially on earth, but come on. i hate when the plot and spotlight is on them, which is a sore spot about bayverse movies for me personally. i want to see the robots, not humans being stupid. there are a few notable exceptions but i dont really hate the humans, just that they annoy me

-wfc was genuinely good. it had some sore spots, yeah, but literally every tf show and show in general does. it has so many cool concepts and i would love to see nemesis and galvatron as optimus and megatron from the future revisited.

-making fankids and OCs for transformers is genuinely so fun because its a universe where you can so easily insert a character of your own. there are plenty of roles, factions, relationships, designs, alt modes to choose from and its just so fun. the fandom gets so incredibly creative and i love it so much.

-i love when we get to see cybertron developed and explored. this is a major point where tfa is stronger than tfp to me because it features involvement w cybertron. idw does this very well. even the g1 episode war dawn is remembered well bc it does that, as well as the opening sequence of the very first episode. there are so many oppurtunities for worldbuilding. cyberverse in particular does this well, its so underrated

-all the characters are so gay theres so much gay ass tension. i guess thats what you get when most of the characters are male (big problem too we need more female bots) and theyre always fighting each other and saying dramatic shit

She gets along rather well with Lilia and Malleus, more so Lilia given they're in the same club.

She honestly finds Lilia to be hilarious- though she often finds herself dodging any fatherly advice he may have to offer. They love the same type of music, share a sense of humor, and honestly can just chat for hours. Though- Lilia is a bit... concerned? For her wellbeing? He has to eventually acknowledge that, most of the time, she's not gonna listen to him unless whatever he has to say aligns with her stubborn ass. He hopes that can change. She, however, with uneasy feelings about parental and authority figures, just wants to continue their pleasant chats. Fatherless behavior

Malleus and her actually share a class! So- ig their relationship isn't entirely canon compliant, but the initial relationship is very similar. Though of course she's fuckin scared of him, she's on edge around every single damn magic user until she realizes theyre- also just people, yaknow. She sees no issues with talking with him regardless, there were plenty of fae in her homeland before, she doesn't get why some students are uneasy around them simply because theyre from briar valley- So I suppose Malleus would see her simply as being brave and entertaining at first similarly to canon, where she is just vibing, having a bit of fun with teasing him for being a dork. (She has memorized all the gargoyle terminology)

Silver and Sebek however...

She is uneasy around Silver. She can't read him as easily as she can everyone else. She doesn't always know what the best thing to say is in order to gain favor- because half the time his facial expression remains the same. She doesn't know how he's feeling. It's like she's gambling, rolling a dice trying different things- she doesn't like it, she's uncomfortable, but she remains civil. Silver is- oblivious to this at first until Lilia informs him otherwise, though ofc if he confronts Yuu about it, she would outright deny any and all of it regardless. At first, at least.

Oh Sebek.

Yuu, simply wanting to be seen, garner favor, be HEARD. Be someone who is important and matters, constantly being yelled over and disregarded... just for being human? For, what? Treating Malleus like a damn person? Oh, she's mad. She's mad mad. And now HE'S mad too- because how DARE she call Malleus a nerd???? Who would do such a thing???

They don't get along well, period. Even as they begin to see more of each other than simply what is on the surface- both being hardworking, stubborn, determined people when it comes down to it, it would still take a LONG time, and probably some intervention, in order to finally shake hands and call a truce to shouting matches. Explanation: In the original material, not only did Odysseus like Amphinomus, but the other suitors (all 107) liked Amphinomus enough to listen to him and his advice, while they didn’t listen to Leodes. He made fun of them (….I think when Odysseus beat the other homeless guy and when Telemachus came home, but I’m not opening the Odyssey for that) and yet, they still listened to him. This means they liked him enough.

So basically, all the suitors see their younger, more naive selves in Amphinomus. The same person that had the same ideals as them, except that they weren’t crushed by life or hardship. So they can’t help but wonder why they see themselves in him. And because of that, they don’t know how to be mean to him if he’s such a kind and happy sweetheart who helps anyone without any expectations of payment. In short, they get attached to him, because they can’t help but pretend that he’s their younger selves.

Literally all the suitors are scared of Amphinomus, not because he’s intimidating, but because he has that disappointed parent stare and voice at times and it makes them feel guilty. and they don’t like feeling guilty. And Telemachus abuses that a lot.

Basically, instead of being half Nereid, he’s either half Pleiades (star nymph), Hyades (Rain nymphs), or Lampades (Underworld nymphs). It changes his appearance, his abilities, and his mannerisms. He would be more air-head and distracted if he was half Pleiades, observant and outdoorsy if Hyades, and more quiet and sort of spooky if Lampades.

so these three watch them play football while nine comes to terms with all that theyve missed. ten and juice are really fun too.

IF ITS A BOOK OR SOMETHING I WANT IT SOSOSOSOSO BAD.

and head in hands i have lore to go thru with my blorbo… i’ve been going through a greek mythology phase (blame epic the musical) and i’ve been highkey obsessing over circe 💔 a lot of people know her but some don’t so im just gonna give the basics rundown of what she’s most famously known for. basically she’s a goddess but she’s also a witch (not all goddesses are witches and sorcery is different from simply having divine power) who lives on an island i forgot the name of with her nymphs and all the wild animals. whenever sailors wind up on her island she lures them in, pretends to be a normal woman who just wants to help, but after they eat her food they eat her spell and she turns them into pigs. she’s most famous for her role in the odyssey— odysseus and his men end up on her island after escaping poseidon (sea god) and odysseus splits up his crew to scout the island. half of his crew find circe’s home, they get lured in, eat her food, become pigs. odysseus eventually goes looking for his men, and hermes (messenger god) gives him a special plant that will make him immune to circe’s spells. so he goes in, they chat, circe realizes he can’t be turned into a pig or whatever, so they agree that circe will free his men and they won’t hurt her. now there’s a million interpretations on how this encounter happens: in epic the musical, the root hermes gives him also gives him the ability to summon monsters to fight circe, and circe loses, but determined to protect her nymphs, she tries to seduce odysseus so she can just stab him, he refuses (because he’s married his wife is actually a big part of his character lol) and then circe, seeing how kind he is, agrees to free his men and give him advice on how to get home. in actual Greek mythology they sleep together (lmfao) and it’s either as a deal to free his men OR circe casts a spell on him. in almost all interpretations he stays as her lover with his crew on her island for a year. and she has his son after he leaves but that’s a whole other thing.

I ORIGINALLY fell in love with her in epic. problem is she’s actually a minor antagonist turned helper— she has like three songs because she’s not that major of a plot point in the original odyssey. but i loved her so much i read the book circe which is basically her lore, and you find out how she was raised how she ended up on that island why she turns men into pigs and then what happens to her after the odyssey. AND THIS IS WHERE SHIT GETS CRAZy. she’s the first child of the sun god helios and the nymph perse. (not helios’ first child in general, because all greek gods have like 600 kids) and she was hated by her mother because she was considered ugly (by god standards) and her voice was shrill, and her father did not see a future where she married well (cuz perse just wants to live rich lmfao). circe is harassed by her mom, but not as much by her dad because she sticks by his side and doesn’t protest about anything he says. but shit never gets better for her my poor girl because she gets two more siblings pasiphaë and perses who actively go out of their way to make her life miserable. and what sucks about circe’s story (for her not the story in general lol) is whenever she finds someone she loves they ultimately turn on her. she raises her youngest brother aeetes, who ends up not caring about her and thinking her as pathetic (it takes her a really long time to realize this i cry about it for hours) who ditches her for the kingdom their father gifted him. then she meets a mortal fisherman who’s life she saves by turning him into a god (this is the first act of sorcery she does) and then he basically gets an ego and treats her like dogshit. he falls in love with a nymph named scylla who shocker also harasses circe, and then circe uses the same flowers she turned the fisherman into a seagod into to poison her bath, accidentally turning her into a monster who actually kills six of odysseus’ men in the odyssey. later she confesses to her dad that she did both things, he thinks she’s lying, so he burns her and she’s ashamed until aeetes comes back and reveals his sorcery magic and says that circe is a sorcerer or a witch as well, along with perses and pasiphaë. helios goes to talk to zeus on what to do, and everyone gets a slap on the wrist but circe, who they send to an island where she is banished. ultimately this is the best thing that ever happens to her but also the worst.

AND A LOT OF SHIT HAPPENS BUT THE MOST GUTWRENCHING PART OF THE BOOK TO #ME is when she goes to pasiphaë’s kingdom where she rules with one of zeus’s demigod sons to help her give birth. after the whole birth thing, circe storms into pasiphaë’s bedroom accusing her of doing all this to shame her. then pasiphaë basically forces circe to realize her life has been shit as well, but circe can’t accept this because the pasiphaë in her mind is the abuser, not the victim. she turns down pasiphaë’s attempts at reconciling and leaves her kingdom. they never reunite (in the book at least) which makes me so sick… doomed sisters…

AND. you know how i mentioned she has a baby. normally i don’t really read a lot of stories about motherhood but her relationship with her son is so. head in hands. it really says a lot about her because even though this is the same woman who turned all men who came into her home into pigs she still is incredibly empathetic and human, which is a major part of her character. and her self-esteem is so low, as well as her self-regard in general— the second her son is born, she’s thinking about all the things she would do for him— and it’s shit like suffering through eternal pain, etc. and her son puts her through hell (not blaming him for acting like a toddler when he is a toddler but. he’s kinda evil 💀) she thinks that she deserves this kind of child and I SCREAMED CIRCE NO… CIRCE… and she defines her worth as a mom by how much she can sacrifice for him, which is so fawking sad.

and another thing i love with how she’s written in the book is how her empathy is her biggest strength and weakness, and when she comforts someone, she panics so much about seeing them in pain she doesn’t think about what she’s really saying, she just doesn’t want them to be in pain anymore. and it’s so URGSJSJEORJEIEKEKEKKSJSKSSJOEJSHDJJ. yeah. im literally insane about her.

Various facts and scenarios about my boy Vanch that i probably didnt bring up in the first post + his pet mudcrab Kraben because hes super fun to think about and i just recovered from a migraine therefore i cannot sleep (gonna be a very long post yet again <3 my favorite)

-Everything Vanch says to anyone tends to come out sounding really mean. It is on purpose a decent amount of times, but its mostly just that he doesnt really know how to talk to people. This is because the way dwarves communicate with each other and the way they communicate with anyone else is completely different, and Vanch has never spoken to anyone other than another dwemer until he came back to Nirn.

-Its pretty much sheer dumb luck that he survived in the outer realms as long as he did, considering all the places he ended up in and especially since he was doing it all half blind. His life was in surprisingly less danger than people would normally be. Thats just how lost he was.

-He did not know of any races other than Dwemer, Falmer, Chimer, and Nord before coming back. He thinks Nords are dumb and annoying and is baffled by the fact that Nord women dont seem to grow beards anymore. Hes also surprised to learn about the Chimer-Dunmer change. He thinks beastfolk are objectively cooler than everyone else.

-His dad made him some sort of back brace since he was always super hunched over working on his tiny little things and it doubles as a chestplate and he finds it pretty comfortable so he pretty much always has it on.

-His mom was a tonal architect and his dad was a stonemason, specifically for putting all those designs all over the stones.

-Avanchnzel stores a lot of information, including various techniques that individual tonal architects come up with. There is a single recording of his mothers voice stored in a cube that he listens to regularly for comfort.

-There was a mushroom-based dish that his dad loved making to the point where Vanch got sick of it. Calcelmo discovers a set of recipes and makes that particular dish (being extremely meticulous about making it as accurate as possible) and it makes Vanch really emotional. He definitely doesnt hate it anymore.

-He never does remember his actual name. He just goes by Vanchnraldch now. He doesnt usually give people that full name though so pretty much everyone only knows him as Vanch.

-Hes scared of heights. One of the first bonding moments he has with Gelebor is when they were kinda just silently looking out over the vale at the balcony together and Vanch admits he wants to go home but he made the mistake of glancing down and he cant get himself to move because hes terrified so Gelebor walks him back to the wayshrine.

-Hes also deeply disturbed by much of the human body. He does not like thinking about the fact that people, including himself, have internal organs and veins and whatnot. It just grosses him out for some reason. Blood grosses him out too, and the entire notion of vomiting freaks him out really bad.

-Which is why he HATES Peryite. Its the only daedric prince that he actually despises. Everyone else he just thinks kinda sucks because, who cares, but Peryite personally pisses him off because of the condition Bthardamz is in. And he cant do anything about it because hes so intensely disgusted by it.

-He doesnt dislike Serana. He just doesnt feel any particular way towards her. Acquaintances, basically. After helping her defeat Harkon, shes designated as the leader of the Volkihar clan, and he doesnt really visit because, again, blood gross, but she does visit him occasionally and theyll hang out and do nothing for a while. They spend more time together way further down the line after Vanch starts outliving everyone else he loves. Then theyre friends.

-By "everyone he loves", i mean Calcelmo, Faleen, Viriya, and Aicantar, in that order. Gelebor is immortal and so is Serana and also Kraben, so theyre all he has left, at least until he eventually meets Yagrum Bagarn and Divayth Fyr. Vanch is in some weird state where hes technically >4,020 years old and yet hes only aged as if 20 years had passed as he had perceived while in the outer realms.

-Kraben is a mudcrab that he saved from a slaughterfish as a child that he named after Clan Kragen. It was on the very brink of death and Vanch replaced its heavily damaged carapace with dwarven metal. This does mean that Kraben is no longer able to grow or reproduce, but it also means its also functionally immortal. Vanch doesnt know if Kraben is male or female since you cant really tell with a mudcrab unless it reproduces or is dissected and Vanch is absolutely not ever going to kill Kraben.

-He can communicate telepathically with Kraben, not that Kraben has a very complex mind, but it is pretty impressive that he managed to figure out a way to do that. Imagine Kraben communicating exclusively with singular emojis. Thats the full extent of its thoughts. This also applies to Snippy, Viriyas mudcrab that he continued to take care of after her death, who he also fitted special antenna onto that Kraben has so they can better communicate.

-Snippy continues to grow to immense sizes. Realistically, any mudcrab that lives long enough wouldve eventually died from getting too big to be able to molt, but Vanch made a device specifically to help Snippy with molting as it grows. It will eventually reach a size where it cant sustain itself at all and will die one day, but at least it will have been the largest mudcrab ever to have existed on Nirn.

-Viriya is that npc from the anniversary edition of skyrim that adds fishing to the game. Shes a lot more eloquent in writing than speaking, which is fine for her and Vanch since Vanch loves to yap and Viriya loves to listen to him. They basically immediately bond over their love for mudcrabs and shes literally the only person hes ever met that actually likes mudcrabs at all. They just kinda gradually fall in love, which Vanch never anticipated to happen. Vanch outlives her since shes not a mer.

-Kraben is a little cannibalistic weirdo of a mudcrab. Its not super uncommon for mudcrabs to occasionally eat baby mudcrabs but Kraben seems to actively seek it out, much to Vanchs dismay. Kraben also gets jealous easily and fully intended on killing Snippy upon their first meeting and Vanch had to repeatedly tell Kraben NOT to kill Snippy. Kraben is generally untrusting and unfriendly with people, much like Vanch is. He always has to tell Kraben to be nice to people, to which Kraben always responds with "😒". Its also a spoiled little brat with how much Vanch had coddled it. It did sincerely miss him when he was gone for all that time, though.

-A few centuries later, after losing all his mortal loved ones, he becomes intolerable of other people for a good while and kicks everyone out of Markarth. Nobodys allowed in the city anymore eccept him. He does not reverse this even after he calms down. He gives himself the title of Dumac so even less people know his name. Theres just a bunch of automatons everywhere now. The first thing he does after doing that is removing the shrine to Molag Bal. If he ever goes out somewhere without Kraben, he leaves Kraben in charge since its basically his second-in-command and will be referred to as Krabenac in such cases. This is based on my headcanon that Dwemer names ending in -ac are actually more like titles that are taken on as names given to those in a position of power/leadership, since the -ac suffix would mean "ruler". Markarth is, of course, officially renamed to Nchuand-zel, and if anyone wants to enter they have to ask permission from whatever automatons are at the entrance and wait for them to communicate with Vanch, and he almost always denies them entry unless its Serana who has exclusive permission to come and go as she pleases. Outside of Nchuand-zel, though, he doesnt do anything to.

-As much as he would like to restore the rest of the dwarven ruins, he knows theres no purpose in doing so. He very slowly makes gradual progress, but ultimately it never happens. It hurts more knowing nobody else is there. He would at the very least like to get all of Peryites shit out of Bthardamz eventually. He also doesnt know what the hell is up with Kagrenzel.

-He does come across more aetherium in Blackreach but has no idea how to work with it.

-He is unfortunately a sufferer of migraines, at least one or two every month (yes im projecting). Sometimes they get so bad and that combined with his fear of dying makes him delirious and scared. Gelebor witnessed this once and helped him through it.

-He offers to fix up the Chantry for Gelebor. Gelebor is, reasonably, skeptical of accepting any sort of favor from him, still subconsciously paranoid about dwarves making offers... Vanch explains that hes offering this to repay Gelebor and that he isnt expecting anything from him. Gelebor doesnt get what he had ever done for Vanch to prompt this, turns out its companionship. Hes lonely and feels terrible about everything that happened and Gelebor is being surprisingly tolerant of him, so he wants to repay him. Plus they both have this "last of their kind" situation as a common ground.

-And thats based on a personal headcanon/theory or whatever that the whole "we do not ask for your thanks/gratitude for we do not believe in it" that the dwarves wrote in their thing with the snow elves was not them bullshitting but was, in fact, how they thought. This was limited to the dwarves of Skyrim, but basically there was no "thank you" for anything since that seems useless and empty. It was simply that if someone does you a favor then you owe them a favor and thats that. Its good enough that they accept the favor. So, to Vanch, the best way he could show appreciation for Gelebor being tolerant of him was fixing up the Chantry. And i say "tolerant" because Vanch severely underestimates how much Gelebor got to appreciating his company.

-Vanch does gradually learn how to properly thank people for things even though he still doesnt entirely get it, he just knows nobody else gets how the dwarves saw anything.

-He often feels like theres a thick layer of glass seperating himself from the world. A very big part of why the dwarves didnt like talking to other people very much is because they were telepathic (my headcanon of course) and a lot of how they communicated with each other is completely inaccessible to other races, which is also why their writing was often difficult to parse meaning from. So it was overall just a lot of exhausting work to figure out exactly how to word things and to figure out what the hell anyone else was trying to say as they often had trouble "reading between the lines" of what other people said. Vanch was at least already pretty talkative, but there are plenty of times where he gets too frustrated to bother with it. In fact, when he speaks to Yagrum, its conpletely different from how he speaks to anyone else. Otherwise, its ridiculously hard for him to figure out what other people are feeling and what theyre actually saying and its hard for people to figure out what hes feeling and what hes actually saying.

-Another headcanon that i know many people also have is that elves can move their ears to express themselves. The dwarves were not really like that, as they had significantly more control over their ear movements specifically as a function for their telepathy. Its how they directed their thoughts to each other, so Vanch is only slightly better at understanding another mers feelings just because theyre more obvious by default. This does, of course, mean that he always percieves Gelebor as being generally miserable, because Gelebor is significantly less expressive than most other people.

-Vanch doesnt like the aedra all that much either, but he at least gets better at holding his tongue about Auriel specifically since he knows how that matters to Gelebor. He doesnt ever really understand why, though. As far as he can tell, Auriel let all this terrible shit happen to the Falmer to begin with and is a jerk for making Gelebor have to bear through it for so long by himself. Yes, he is well aware of the part the dwarves played in this, but he thinks it wouldnt have happened if Auriel helped them against the Atmorans in the first place.

-Divayth Fyr learns about the news of a Dwemer that kicked everyone out of Markarth. By then, he did finally manage to find a core for Yagrums corprus, so its the perfect opportunity for the both of them to finally meet another dwarf. Yagrum periodically gets in similar depressive bouts that Vanch does with the whole total lack of telepathy going on with anyone. Vanch is extremely quick on going with Divayth to meet Yagrum, but along the way he starts getting really self conscious. Divayth tells him that Yagrum was a Master Crafter under Kagrenac, and by then Vanch knows about Kagrenac, so he starts feeling way out of his league. By all means, hes just some guy. He was never anything special and hes done so much without any guidance and he feels so lost all the time. So to meet someone with such a strong history, especially from a different dwemer culture, hes terrified that Yagrum wont even like him. He still goes, of course, hes just mentally spiraling the whole time on the way there. But Yagrum is more than happy to meet him, and he really likes the little models that Vanch makes. Hes honestly mostly just happy to meet anyone of his own kind again. Its a kind of relief he didnt even realize he was desperate for. Immediately Yagrum becomes a mentor for Vanch. He never did remember everything about his life before corprus, but he remembered enough that he was able to teach Vanch a lot of stuff. And he was even able to learn from Vanch, a bit of cultural exchange.

-Before Vanch meets Yagrum, other Snow elves had finally showed up at the Chantry. This of course immediately made Vanch feel incredibly out of place and also kinda jealous, and not wanting to accidentally complicate things with Gelebor and the rest of them, he doesnt visit again for a long time. This does just make Gelebor kinda worried instead. He does visit again after spending a lot of time with Yagrum.

-He makes some sort of flying beetle-looking thing specifically made to send letters to Gelebor and for Gelebor to send letters back.

-There is one Snow elf there that is as old, if not older, than Gelebor. Who very much does also remember what the dwarves did. He isnt hostile towards Vanch, but he is extremely suspicious of him. Vanch does his best to continue fixing up the Chantry, deciding its probably best bot to actively seek out approval in case it comes off as setting up for a favor, but he does want to prove that he isnt up to anything bad with his actions. Eventually, the Snow elf (i havent thought of a name for him yet, sorry. Id like to, but i dont think i have a good grasp on how snow elf names are constructed) decides, to everyones surprise, to offer Vanch some assistance with something. Its mostly as a test, but Vanch tells him about Bthardamz and Peryite, and the Snow elf agrees to assist him. Vanch actually insits that he doesnt so that because he doesnt want him to get sick or hurt or something. The Snow elf insits, however, so they leave together, but Vanch first gets Serana to help too. The three of them, with the Snow elfs magic, do manage to get rid of Peryites influence, and Vanch is absolutely dead set on getting back to Nchuand-zel first because hes so grossed out that he wants to take a shower immediately. Of course, this gives the Snow elf the worst thoughts, but he gives him the benefit of the doubt. Carefully, of course. Vanch really is sincerely worried about the guy getting hurt or sick or something. It mostly stems from the fact that he had to kill Vyrthur and he feels like if anything happened to this guy then Gelebor would lose his trust in him. They get back to the Chantry just fine.

-As much of a stuck up asshole that Vanch can be, he really does not like killing people at all. It makes him feel bad. His first experience with death was an aunt that died when he was 6, and he didnt really understand what "death" really was, but he did at least understand that it meant he would never see her again. It wasnt until he experienced some mudcrab deaths that he put two and two together and finally understood it. He never got why people killed each other so much.

-While Vanch is himself scared of dying, theres a part of him that wishes he had never left for the outer realms. He does have survivors guilt. Its worse since nobody knows what ended uo of the dwarves. If they did ascend somewhere or whatever, then hes missing out, but at least theyre probably fine. If they did really all just die, then its really messed up to think about. And if they were all just un-existed, then its just terrifying to think about. But he wonders, if they did ascend, what could possibly stop them from checking in on Nirn at all? Surely his parents wouldve noticed that he did not go with them. And the slightest possibility that they may be choosing not to is enough to make him selfishly and guiltily prefer that theyre all just gone for good. Ultimately he isnt sure what to feel. He at least wishes he couldve gotten back after his intended 10 years of exploring the outer realms. Of course, nobody has any way of knowing this, but the disappearance happened just a few years after he left, so even if he did come back when he meant to they all still wouldve been gone. He was doomed either way.

-He sometimes has extremely complex and abstract dreams that involve Numidium but he doesnt know what that is nor does he know what to make of the dreams and he often forgets them soon after waking up.

-He managed to recreate that potion that makes you look like a ghost and he actively messes with adventures that explore the dwemer ruins by pretending to be a ghost. He finds it fun how scared they all get. He finds it both stupid and amusing that dwarves are so often described in such a way that makes them seem like evil spooky boogeymen and he actively uses that knowledge to his advantage.

-He does a lot of verbal stims, the oddest one being that he just goes "meow" sometimes. Theres no reason for it, its just a good stim. He would never imitate a mudcrab for he does not think himself worthy.

-He has an inferiority complex when compared to literally any other dwarf and a superiority complex when it comes to literally everything and everyone else with very few exceptions. Ultimately, though, hes so obsessed with mudcrabs that he puts them way above even the Dwemer. Though, part of his obsession is a coping mechanism.

-He saved Septimus Signus from Hermaeus Mora by basically going "so youd rather listen to a deadric prince that an actual literal dwemer" and "how would the heart even be in here if we all disappeared after using it way over in that volcano" and he mostly did it to screw with Harmaeus Mora because he has no respect for the daedra. It was easier too since Septimus didnt question if Vanch even knew about the lockbox at all (he did not).

-Vanch checked out the College of Winterhold for some time and he helped Arniel with his experiment out of sheer curiosity... getting his hands on Keening gave him a really terrible idea that he actively supresses. Brelyna, Savos, and Urag were the only ones who suspected Vanch was actually a dwarf, since Vanch always wore a helmet to hide his face around people and most people wouldnt actually assume hes a dwarf even with the rest of his outfit.

-Vanch built a spider automaton as a child, as all dwemer children do, which he never named. He always just called it "my spider" and he built it with bigger claws like a mudcrab. He was very happy to see it still in working order. It helped Kraben get out of the room they were both stuck in and thats how Calcelmo and Aicantar found Kraben.

-Vanch and Aicantar became friends surprisingly quick, but it always disturbed him how eager Aicantar seemed to suggest killing people as a solution for a lot of things. He thinks him and Kraben wouldve gotten along well if they could communicate.

-Calcelmo was like an uncle to him and really cared about him. He felt the same aay for Faleen. Aicantar was like a brother to him. Vanch was an only child. Gelebor is also like a uncle to him, just a much older and more distant uncle.

-He is not afraid of bugs at all. He loves bugs. He can hold bugs in his hand very calmly. Its practically unheard of for a dwemer to not like bugs.

-He thinks that if he had been born in Vvardenfell instead of Skyrim, he may have been obsessed with scribs instead of mudcrabs. Kraben did not appreciate that idea.

-He does eventually get new glasses since his broke early on when he left to the outer realms.

-The first time he ever saw Gelebor outwardly express any amount of enjoyment was when Vanch was like "dude you look miserable, lets go do something fun" and convinces him to have a snowball fight. Gelebor has full advantage, naturally. It reminded him of when he used to play with Vyrthur when he was a child. He catches Vanch off guard and dumps a whole mound of snow on him and couldnt help but chuckle. Vanch couldnt even be annoyed because he was just glad to see Gelebor enjoy being alive for once.

-He and Aicantar discovered the statue of the Falmer and Mercer Frey showed up shortly after they did. Vanch kept him down by paralyzing him repeatedly while trying to get Aicantar to suggest literally anything other than killing the guy. Eventually they settle on dragging him all the way back to Markarth and figuring out what to do from there. Then along the way there Karliah shows up and explains that she can handle things from here.

-Falion claims to have met the dwemer, but it was actually just one and it was, in fact, Vanch, but the interaction in question was Vanch telling Falion to fuck off because he had a migraine and didnt realize he was talking to an actual person.

-Before Vanch returned to Nirn, Calcelmo finds a mechanical model of a bird in an excavation and puts it in a display since he had never found anything like it before. Vanch recognizes it since hes the one who made it. He made it for another guy who had recently had a child when he asked Vanch to make a bird for his kid because he liked birds. Vanch does not like thinking about that too much.

having an event currency is par for the course, im not surprised that there is one. its a good and simple way of putting everyone on an even playing field.

originally ornaments picked up from the ground gave only 3 ornaments, getting seen by twisteds and finishing a machine gave 1. but like a day after the upsate released, they changed it so that picking up ornaments and extracting machines gave 5 ornaments. this is straight up objectively good, it respects the players time and encourages playing the game normally instead of distracting as a 2 stealth toon to get the most ornaments in the shortest amount of time!

character designs are still pretty mid i think, and by mid, i mean they dont make my brain go “ooooo cool, i want that!!” or “oooo funky”. but honestly, im starting to think that thats just my preferences in character designs. at least theyre not just humans. this batch of characters definitely has the most diverse body types so far tho and i love it!! finally, they dont all look so similar! whats more important tho is that which character theyre supposed to be is still pretty clear whenever u see them. im biased tho cuz i care about the gameplay way more than the characters so ye

3 of the 4 toons having similar abilities as the non-event toons is good actually. cuz i dont feel pressured to grind for them and can just focus on getting the main character instead. this lets the devs save the unique ideas for non-event toons too!!

and even if they have similar abilities, the different stats and numbers give them a different enough playstyle that they can stand on their own.

and also, like, imagine if these toons actually had unique abilities. players who couldnt get them would literally be locked out of an entire playstyle just cuz they werent in the right place at the right time, and that SUCKS ASS!!!!

rudie is the common of the christmas event, with 3 stars in all his stats. his ability is flutter’s dash, except with almost half the cooldown and distance. and he glows red in the dark, but in more of a flashlight way

i like that the event has a common cuz it rlly helps the new players. new players get a cheap and easy to get event toon, but old players have more toons to play with too! win win!

in my opinion, he is the best toon in the entire event. i just rlly like spamming his ability, especially when it gets down to 8 seconds. hes genuinely more fun for me than flutter because of how short his cooldown is. i hate his red light tho, not cuz its ugly, but cuz it hurts my eyes whenever i looknat the screen for too long.

his design is just rudolph the red-nosed reindeer with candy cane antlers, nothing special, but hes cute. i like how hes chubbier than normal, makes him feel more friend-shaped. his design feels like theres a strange lack of bells tho, idk y, maybe i just like bells.

all of his animations are just looeys animations, except whenever he walks or runs, he shifts from left to right a little because of his deer legs

he has two skins: the vintage, and blue bell. the vintage skin is my favorite, it just works well with his color palette, the light actually makes me go blind tho so that sucks but its worth it. blue bell gives him a color scheme similar to a real reindeer, but with a blue nose and blue bracelets with white bells on them. i really like the blue color of his light, its nice to look at! i dont like how saturated the main colors of his color scheme are tho, cuz it hurts my eyes a little, just a little.

his trinket is festive lights. it highlights ornaments near u every 10 seconds. yea idk wat i expected, but it makes sense. again, useful for new and old players, especially new players cuz they most likely dont have anything to fill their trinket slots with.

ginger is one of the two rare characters. her stats look like shes made for people who want to play as cosmo, but cant hit his skill check, and are willing to trade some survivability for more stars in the skill check stat.

her ability is a side-grade of cosmos, with a much bigger range in exchange for a bigger cooldown.

i like her design, the white is a nice contrast to the red so the whole thing isnt just one color. the little details, like a few bits of red to add some detail to her hair. her head being flat. her hair itself being a slab of icing that looks like it was glued on to the back of her head, with her bangs looking like it was piped on using a round tip, really making her look like a gingerbread woman. very nice, the rest of her body isnt flat tho and has regular toon anatomy, so its like they baked her head in the oven then glued it onto a regular body, but its fine! it doesnt even matter really, a bodys a body, and no ones gonna notice anyways unless they pay attention to the design or someone.. tells... them....... oops.

shes also one of the few toons that immediately made me think she had a very “dandys worldish” design so far. like, u can very clearly tell that its from a specific piece of media, even if u havent heard of the game before. and im pretty sure its because of that giant bite taken out of her head. the reason to why i think that is because its a very important detail of her design that really makes her stand out.

her idle animation has her leaning to her left, its another nice little detail that acknowledges the weight she wouldnt be able to support cuz of that massive bite in her head

she has two skins: the vintage, and minty pine. i dont have anything to say about the vintage skin. the minty pine one tho, i really like it. its simple but nice, idk wat else to say

her trinket is peppermint icing. it gives you 30 stamina every time you use your active ability. its rlly fun to use on toons with short ability cooldowns like rudie and toodles, and even when playing as gigi and using the bone trinket

coal is the second rare character. she has flutters stats and pebbles old ability, except it highlights every item for everyone instead of just items near u for only u.

im gonna be honest with u, i think this ability is pretty useless

bobette fits the christmas theme rlly well, especially her abilities, but shes actually straight up the worst main gameplay-wise

her active ability and the range of her passive suck tho imo

u have to basically stand riight next to her to even get the passive effects

her active is a significantly worse smoke bomb, like legit usijg connie would be waaay better. an idea for a better active ability that fits in with the christmas theme could be gigis ability except the item is a present on the ground that anyone except bobette can pick up, maybe limit the item rarity to rare and above too, shes a main after all

i like the new map! it feels so open and i like that, of course theres still cramped spots but im fine with that, i like that too, fun map to play in! very much unlike shellys map, which has multiple dead ends that i wanna stay as far away from as possible. it also looks rlly nice, it doesnt hurt my eyes and nothing rlly feels out of place, its just nice

Fuck it, unfinished character designs! Some new ones this time.

This is my design for night, I was going to have her be an owl, and have a half moon mask, but i went with more of a spider vibe (which is why its not done) because she lives in a web, like a dream catcher, which was actually her first design, to actually be the moon

I did decide to keep the owl beak because i fucking love owls they’re such cute little freaks. Anyway, I’m going to give her a different shirt, maybe add arm warmers

Next we got Day

Originally he was based on Apollo, so my vague approximation of an ancient greek god, with the toga and all that, he was also supposed to be a fall tree. But he kinda gave my medow where you’d find bambi vibes, so I decided yeah lets make him a deer. The outfit is inspired by those godforsaken AI generated drawings I found on Pinterest and thought were actual art. It is still my own design, just the whole hoodie over a dress thing wasn’t. I’m changing the outfit to make it look cooler soon anyway, I might go back to the greek god concept.

Then I had this idea a while ago that i could do something with, idk what but it involves sentient plants, because theyre fun as fuck to draw

On the left are a flytrapper and some dandilion inspired plants, and on the right is a drawing i did a while ago of the emotion Joy. I decided the concepts would go pretty well together and Joy might make an interesting side character. The flowers were some doodles done in my notebook, so they’re jusy concepts at the moment

I might add in some of my other emotion characters as creations Clover made, since some of them look like dolls, but I also have a bunch of little clown drawings that be little creations, I’m not sure.

This was a doodle i did before deciding on a willow instead of an average tree. I picked willows because theyre flexible and resilient. Also they’re cool.

I’m thinking like near or at the end of the story she’s gonna be lit on fire, that’s why I went with a tree. I did a little drawing prompt thing and it gave me smoke hair, and i figured (at five am, sleep deprived) yeah thats good for a charcoal creature. I’m probably gonna change her outfit with her new forms.

I haven’t drawn the charcoal creature Ash yet, because I dont know how the willow version looks yet, or how willow burns, so I’m doing my research!

ALRIGHTY!! for fun facts: on page 98 of creating a champion (you can view it for free) its noted that the people in hateno wear warmer clothes because theyre near a very very cold mountain which is mount lanayru and also it has a nordic aesthetic apparently! because of that once i. do research i think im going to make hateno based a bit off finland just for fun. or poland but poland is more of a personal thing. and also requires research. speaking of being at the base of mt lanayru youve probably seen this but theres little mountain symbols all across hateno (like on the signs, the pots, and some secret back sheds)! the mayors house is referred to as a church in the files (TwnObj_Village_HatenoChurch_A_01) for some reason, likely because it has the hylia statue. ALSO. this isnt confirmed at all but before i was researching those little stacked rocks. theyre up above the signs as well as near the mayors house. im half sure theyre cairns, stacked rocks made by humans thats usually for signalling a hiking trail. this site also sparsely mentions them + has insight into the architecture + the ancient tech labs (though i havent read a lot of it </3). anyways those may just be for fun/for visitors/decoration (i like to think its all of them) + its likely rock balancing. i Did find a site like this and while im inclined to trust it i dont think it applies here. also while prewriting the main ideas i thought there was cairns in goron city? but i cant find them so! yeah maybe theyre in totk otherwise theyre just in hateno and tarrey town. also while its raining karin i believe will read a little book thats in oots/wws opening cutscene style with a little prince in blue riding towards the castle. i think its neat but doesnt have too many implications besides possibly reinforcing some tloz games could be the same legend told over and over like a telephone game. also theres more in the second win mod but i cant play it because. not optimized at least for me. also. lots of footage to go into and i dunno how much was truly added

what does link think of it!!! i think he likes it a bit, especially the inn. its just cozy + both loshlo harbor and hateno beach are just kind of good thinking places. loshlo harbor especially, its just a nostalgic place for him. also i feel like he’d have a lot more use for his house than we’re given in game (custom photos, a journal, a chest so you can put items in to store them ((maybe food)), souvenirs (he’d have a lot of those i think. mainly stealing mugs), and also actually being able to cook in there). to be fair the champions photo being the only item we could place in links house had an effect, but i do want this to be. an actual house. also i think he’d get deja vu from being in the house and the harbor. nothing like stunting or debilitating but he’ll be cutting up vegetables or building a sand castle and for a moment a memory? or an image flashes and in that. thing. hes doing the exact same thing hes doing now. same place same thoughts . though some would be more memory flashes, those would be easier to tell as its not deja vu but . like finishing someones sentence without knowing what theyre going to actually say. and then he realizes ‘WAIT A SECOND’

i think he wouldve gotten there later than normal. miphers was done first, did a bit of traveling (partly because he. didnt know where it was despite the map). he probably got there somewhere after his 2nd-3rd divine beast. funnily enough i think it wouldve taken him a While to find lurilen and the forgotten temple. lurilen especially why would he Go There (he didnt read the signs in faron). he finally gets a house but at the cost of capitalism. once he gets the camera he goes to impa and then he takes a Long detour to get every single memory and without getting (too) sidetracked. he thought a fallen star was one once but it disappeared as it turned day so he never found out what that light was until he saw one physically crash into a hill. he actually mightve done the divine beasts before the camera and is delaying clammy ganon

as soon as he saw the house i think he rushed up to it, because even if it Wasnt his house it shouldnt be destroyed!!!! it was like there was a time limit. he panicked when he didnt have the money (he didnt sell gems or dragon parts at the time…) but he prevailed (selling monster parts). he does not like chopping wood.

when he got there there wasnt much fanfare? everybody thought he was Just Some Guy (he never wears the champions tunic, as well as never using the champions weapons because theyll break). he completely didnt see the guard guy and just. activated the shrine. he would learn of the statue through the small glasses child and would probably talk to the statue more if a heart container wasnt just stolen. if he could save scum he would to avoid the encounter entirely but because he cant he may just. let the statue have it. until extremely later and he talks to it again after years. i think hed show the fireflies to the statue. also i dont think he talked to anyone besides bolson and purah and symin. except for the stolen sheeps person + the shopkeeper. everytime hes there he will Always buy milk rice eggs etc. cooking ingredients are something hed never pass up. he would be a regular of yammo despite her traveling.

though i think he’d spend a lot less time in hateno than you think. its his home but also he likes to travel + have fresh air and places, and also he visits the champions villages more often than not. except for zoras domain unless he Needs to. otherwise he’d still be in lanayru and visit ruta but still be a bit of a distance away. he also doesnt visit goron city a lot though hes less averse to that. also i think he’d like ebon mountain, especially because its behind his house + he gets a good view. he would tell the guy there the actual heart lake location. also i think fairies spawn there at night (both locations)

i think some locations would be there pre cal but arent post cal. i have the excuse of the mayor mentioning that hateno was still built back from the ground (i can get the dialogue if you want!!) . specifically thered be this one hot chocolate place he’d go to that doesnt exist anymore. through a quest he can get the recipe and share it with the elders but yeah. maybe a library and actual church but shrugs

also sometimes i like to think a time capsule was buried in the backyard/under water. however thats neither here or there + it all depends on the au and how the story goes. he would miss his mom and have mixed feelings on his sister (they were also distant believe it or not. but that was his sister). he’d almost have the same reputation as purah for not leaving the house visibly i think and not talking to almost anyone.

also he hasnt dyed any of his clothes. theyre good enough for him 👍. pre cal he wouldve liked dying the act of dying a piece of fabric a lot

ALSO he doesnt hang the champions weapons in his house. he holds onto them and doesnt let go

one more thing: he’d make a note of picnic/quiet spots. theres one near the village but he doesnt really picnic with anyone even pre cal. he mostly just sits there

yearning aside, your vision of the celestial realm is clicking in place in my head like a lego brick, especially the tower design. very interested in the metal caste system you mentioned, and i am also Staring at your s/i’s lore. i’m a sucker for heaven/holy beings turning out to be bad/oppressive. an outcast from heaven finding a safe space in hell? in an arranged marriage on top of that? putting him in the microwave to watch him spin on the dish.

omg please PLEASE there is no need to apologise at all, I really enjoyed reading this and i feel like you summarised a lot of what i like about his character too! I feel like his individualism and want to be seen as separate to his brothers is a really integral part of his character, but hes also so intertwined with his role of looking after his brothers (insert some ramble about him being like someone in the parentified eldest daughter role) ANYWAYS im shaking you thank you so much for this big ramble and i would absolutely believe that theres more to this because its just like !! raah i can just feel the vibe and it's just !! im really happy you shared it with me because i liked reading it so much !!

ALSO thank you, i had so much fun working on this sort of original angel-inspired species a few years ago and im glad to be able to reuse some aspects of it in a way that im able to interact with and write about tangibly!!

AND THANK YOU i just vibe SO MUCH with this particular s/i, theres something so special about his vibe, and his arc of slowly realising that maybe the way he grew up wasnt so healthy after all and eventually settling into this space full of other outcasts (and i feel like a lot of the way you see Lucifer is displayed in how he is with my s/i in this particular AU (and the alternative version of it, in which my s/i was another 'brother', but one that fell for michaels manipulation and stayed behind in heaven)).

Like, the whole trope of finding a group that's like... theyre not just like you, but the way that theyre different from the others is compatible with the way that you are. youre playing different songs on the same wavelength. if that makes sense.
