My current lack of offline friends is definitely my own fault for failing to put the effort in but in my defense, (a) I am so so tired and social stuff costs energy, social stuff with people I don't already know and like costs so much energy especially and most of the energy I have for that is currently being used up pretending to be cordial with landlord and (b) actively seeking out friendships has never actually worked for me*, every good friendship I've had has just kind of happened to me so at this point it feels like it would be a waste of energy I can't spare.

*In retrospect the question of why me approaching people I don't even like that much while heavily and unsustainably masking and projecting a So Very Sociable And Normal And Enthusiastic To Meet You version of me doesn't lead to close long lasting friendships is probably not that great a mystery.

So I activated the "Blending In" preset in the Chronivac and set it to Slow Burn mode. I'm not sure how long it would take to make changes, but to have some fun, I also made sure I'm only partially aware.

Went to this gym nearby, though maybe it was bad timing that there were those toxic school bullies and big meatheads. Well, they're actually fine when they start talking with me like I belonged. Maybe they're alright.

Of course you're not one of them. You play the cello in the school orchestra, are active in the student council and are involved in animal protection. But still, it was cool with the guys. Their tips sounded quite useful. And after you had a big protein shake with the boys after training, you had a lot of fun farting in the competition. No question, you came in last place.

Then outside the gym they went back to pretending they didn't know you. Nick, the alpha meathead, almost ran you over with his motorbike in the gym car park. Anyway, maybe he just didn't see you.

The next morning you wake up full of energy. You jump out of bed, do 100 push-ups and 100 sit-ups and go to the bathroom. Hehehehe, should there really be some beard fuzz? You shave every morning anyway, hoping that the beard will finally grow more. Maybe that will finally be successful. Don't bother with the shower. Today you're going to the gym again after school anyway, so you can take a shower then. A quick sniff in the armpit. Still working. To save time, you put on yesterday's gym clothes for school.

In class today you find it harder than usual to concentrate. In maths you actually nod off for a few minutes. But Nick actually greets you in the corridor with a fist bump. And he even talks to you when you finally get to lie on the weight bench and lift weights after school. After the workout, the boys ask you if you'd like to come watch football in the diner. You'd love to. But you have driving school today. You want to finally get your licence for the motorbike.

The next morning, when you go to the bathroom after your run, push-ups and sit-ups, you notice that you didn't shower yesterday. Armpit check. Fuck, you finally smell like a man. And the hair in your armpits finally comes out. You pose in front of the mirror. Yes, the training is paying off. And the protein shakes too. You'll be further ahead in the next farting competition.

You forgot to do your homework at school. That has never happened to you before in your life. When your French teacher asks you how you want to excuse it (en francais, s'il vous-plait), you let out a loud burp. You have detention. The boys in the back row applaud. And burp even louder. Gym is cancelled today. Or rather, it will take place for all of you without dumbbells during detention. With burpees and farts. When you are released, your teacher has to hold a handkerchief over her mouth and nose.

On the way to school, Nick and you have a race on your motorbikes. Shit, you lose. And the winner gets to fart in the loser's face during the bench press. Nick's farts are the worst. Thank God the first two hours are sport. Football is your favourite hobby after pumping iron. And Coach is very happy with you. Let's see if the quarterback position works out for you next season. At the end of practice, Coach reads out a message that you are specifically asked to shower after practice. Classmates and faculty have complained. What pussies! But you combine the pleasant with the useful. When jerking off in the shower, you become second in width to the cum.

Saturday at last! All day in the gym and then cruising with the bikes in the evening. Nick is already waiting for you, talking football with your old man. And about the army. If graduation doesn't work out, this could be a real alternative for you. Your father was in the Navy Seals himself and, unlike your mother, doesn't think it's a bad idea.

At the gym, Nick is whining about how envious he is of your beard growth. And how shitty he thinks it is that his parents don't allow him to get tattoos. Anyway, after the summer it's either college or military academy. Then you can do whatever you want.

Hosea Matthews: chill geography teacher that used to also teach physics, is generally good but his homeworks are usually hard to understand, you will get a good grade if you show effort and talk to him, leads an afternoon drama club and was a principal for several years

Arthur Morgan: teaches english literature but also pe and also sometimes physics? He also taught math for a year when times were rough. Everyone knows him and he knows everyone, thinks he's not a good teacher but students act good and get good grades with him (they're intimidated), sometimes hangs around in afternoon art clubs

John Marston: math teacher on an art school (yes this specific), none of his students will ever study math so why should he try, let's everyone pass as long as they're not acting up, usually late to class but no one cares

Javier Esquella: music teacher and an extra for spanish classes, his students only sing in his class, no work unless you make him mad, is known for talking shit about other teachers in spanish

Bill Williamson: PE teacher who yells at his students too damn much BUT is actually ok to meet outside of school, will get drunk with his (of age) students on field trips

Micah Bell: the teacher that got kicked out for students complaining, still shows up on some school actions because Dutch always asks him to help with making sure they act right

Charles Smith: really smart chemistry and biology teacher, actually explains it well, strict but students love him type,leadss the longest routes on field trips with Arthur, they usually make them even longer

Sean Macquire: Teacher assistant, no one knows what exactly he studied, just hangs around, will trashtalk teachers without asking, tells students the curent drama happening between staff

Lenny Summers: Teacher assistant finishing up his studies to become history teacher, popular with the students, has lots of energy, sometimes takes over classes when teachers are sick or tired

Sadie Adler: PE teacher who goes hard but also will force you to not participate after you get hurt ("I DO NOT CARE YOU JUST GOT HIT AND YOU BARELY STOPPED THAT NOSEBLEED SIT DOWN."), no one knew that she had a husband until he one day randomly picked her up from school, once got drunk on a prom and finally told her students about her life

Karen Jones: Chemistry teacher who breaks all lab rules, mainly shows them the fun stuff, the rumor is that she knows how to make alcohol very easily, also leads the afternoon drama club with Hosea

Tilly Jackson: Works in the office, helps students with paperwork or with anything they need to, is one of the reasons the school is still running because she fixes Dutchs paperwork mistakes

Mary-Beth Gaskill: english-literature and english language teacher, is the one to help rewrite the plays for the drama clubs, overall helps them a lot, has an after school reading club, they read mainly female and lesserknown authors

Uncle: janitor, doesn't do shit, just hangs around the school, will yell at you for walking inside in outside shoes, no one takes him seriously, some students have a habit to say "I didn't do my homework, I have lumbago!" because of him, mainly in Johns class

Abigail Roberts: Also works in the office, taught math for a year (that's how she got to know John), refuses to fix Dutchs mistakes, small Jack hangs around in the school sometimes, students like him and play with him

Susan Grimshaw: The main lady in the office and also the vice-principal, students thought she and Dutch were maried LMAOO, she shot down those rumors real fast, students either love her or hate her

Pearson: school cook who also has an afternoon cooking class, sometimes forces his students to answer yes chef, smells weird and tells weird stories

Leopold Strauss: German teacher who also takes care of the school money and makes lectures once a year about finance world, the students don't like him but some respect him in a sense that he knows how money works and teaches them real stuff

Josiah Trelawny: randomly shows up and gives lectures about whatever, no one knows if he actually works here or not, does he even have a title? does he have any idea how to teach? The students find him hilarious, also ALWAYS shows up for students proms and somehow knows who your parents and siblings are

Orville Swanson: Teaches social studies with focus on religion, nearly got kicked out several times for going to school drunk, did cry once in class

Kieran Duffy: Biology teacher, half of the students ignore him, the other half pity him, hangs around the book club because of Mary-Beth, the students ship it, once ranted for an entire class about horses

This was not the event he had thought it was going to be.

He had been invited to talk at the conference and they had gushed honours all over him, which was nothing unusual. However, an old professor had contacted him and asked him especially to attend and join him on a panel discussing the latest space discoveries, several of which had been made by his brothers and himself.

He could drop in to chat physics and visit and old friend, so he had sent his acceptance. Good company made it worth the effort to come down from on high and mingle with the academic crowd in person.

However, his professor had called in sick at the last minute and John had been left by himself. Virgil offered to accompany him, but an emergency in Japan had put an abrupt end to that opportunity for brotherly support.

Alan was up on Five keeping John’s seat warm, so his littlest bro was a fun accompaniment on comms when John really got bored.

Because it was boring. When had some of the top physicists become so…he fumbled for the word…self-centred? Obsessed they were right?

Admittedly, John and his brothers had thrown a few curve balls at the establishment over the years. Applied physics was at the core of their operations, after all, not to mention all the discoveries in space they had accomplished.

Hell, Three had landed a colony ship all by herself. In bits, yes, but the colonists had been safe and Three had been able to restock their supplies in half the time it would have taken the GDF.

The physical proof was there, yet, John had spent a good part of his presentation backing up his assertions. His brothers had been there, done all that, and here a bunch of earthbound fossils were adamant that it was all completely impossible because the math didn’t add up.

Invent new math!

There were a few enthusiastic questions in the crowd and he did have some follow up contacts, but he was tired. Earth always made him tired, people exhausted him, and the negative vibe did not help in the slightest.

That and he knew three of his brothers were hip deep in a danger zone in Japan. It wasn’t like John to be out of the loop like this. Alan sent updates, but John was used to being surrounded by information and schematics and there for his brothers.

A wrist comm just didn’t do it.

So, here he was, taking a breather at the end of the bar. At least the facility was an interesting one. Far above an African plain, the hotel moved slowly across the continent on a programmed schedule and offered some magnificent views.

John stared down at a massive herd of wildebeest and watched the individuals ebb and flow as he idly let the math meander through the back of his mind.

“You look like you need some company.” Tall, dark and suave sat down next to him and John’s heart sank just a little further.

Really? At a physics conference?

“I’m fine, thank you.” He really just needed a little time to himself to regain the energy required to go back in there and speak on the panel.

“If I may say so, you don’t look fine. You took a hammering in there.”

John looked up from his drink. “Everyone is welcome to their opinion.”

“Even when they are wrong?”

“Even when they are wrong.”

“I thought physics was pretty black and white. You’re either right or wrong.”

“Nothing is ever black and white, much less physics.”

“Can I buy you a drink?”

“Thank you, but no. I’m back on stage shortly.”

“Well, in that case, you definitely need a drink. Bartender!”

John groaned inwardly. He did not have the energy for this.

“Hang onto your hat, bro, incoming.” Alan’s voice in his ear startled him, but whatever he could have said was drowned out by gasps and a very familiar roar.

Thunderbird Three flew into view, circling the platform in an obvious display of ‘look at me, aren’t I cool!’

John had to hide a smirk as every soul around him rushed to the windows and started gawking. But then a Thunderbird always made an impression. It was hard to ignore the physics when it was right in front of you.

“I have clearance to land. Johnny, picking you up, grab your stuff.”

God, he loved his little brother in that moment.

Three pivoted perfectly and angled down to land on the hotel’s launch platform.

She was big. Ever so big, and John redid the calculations in his head to reassure himself that the hotel’s hoversystems could support her weight. They could, and he trusted Alan’s skill.

Three might leave a few smudge marks on the forecourt, but eh, he felt like they owed them a little smudge after today’s debacle.

The great space ship settled smoothly in front of all the windows.

“That’s a Thunderbird!” Tall, dark and suave was staring out the window just as much as the rest of the crowd.

John didn’t bother to hide his smirk this time. “Yeah, that’s my ride.”

He grabbed what little he had with him and ignoring all the gawkers, bounded down the stairs and out to meet his little brother.

Alan, in full uniform, was standing beside Three’s steaming main engines. “Hey, bro, sounded like you needed an escape route.” Alan offered his hand.

John clasped it and drew him into a brief hug. “Thanks, Alan. I owe you one.”

“Nah, I got to see all their faces. It’s not often Three gets to strut her stuff in front of an audience.”

John grinned and hugged his little brother to his side as they turned their backs on said crowd and boarded the rescue rocket.

There may be a curious older brother debrief to field a little later, but since both Alan and he would be in space, there would be a volume button available if necessary.

As they launched, leaving the conference in Three’s exhaust, John grinned with glee.

In-Depth Rant About Possible Scamster Relationship Timelines Because They Plague Me

okay so! Scamster relationship timeline has been something I’ve tried to puzzle out since episode 23 dropped because the everything about it was so absurdly captivating and Anthony just dropped it and gave us nothing. So originally (and I think I’ve talked abt this before) I had perceived the timeline thusly:

we know for a fact they are together in the flashback in Alright which based on Anthony’s description of the teens most likely takes place a couple of years after s1 bc the kiddads are all still teens. I think 3 years is a reasonable estimate bc if you see the oldest kiddad in s1 as being max 14, that would leave them at 17. I’d say minimum two years and maximum five. Now, there is no way of knowing how long the two of them have been together by the time this flashback is occurring. I think it may be reasonable to assume that it’s relatively new as we know Morgan was still with Jodie in the finale and presumably had to experience some amount of time being together with him to want to leave him. Additionally, the way they talk to each other gives very much “honeymoon phase” energy, not that that’s concrete evidence, but still. Now with the information we were operating under for a large portion of s2, (probably up until episode 45ish if I remember correctly) scam and Jodie were Hermie’s parents, and scam left Jodie pretty immediately after Hermie was born. Working under that assumption, and the long held assumption that Hermie was 15, this would place them as having been in a relationship for about five to seven years (s2 takes place 25 years after season one, meaning Hermie (if he was actually 15) would’ve been born 10 years after season one and if they had been dating starting anywhere from three to five years after season one, there’s the math) WHICH IS A BIG NUMBER. And for a while that was crazy to me, that plagued me right I thought about that all the time.

AND THEN Anthony Burch dropped a piece of information that SHATTERED MY WORLDVIEW. Hermie the unworthy is not a person (or demon scam creature) he’s just a scam and he’s AT MOST like three years old. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR THE SCAMSTER TIMELINE!!! Here’s the thing. There is nothing Anthony Burch can say that will fully retcon Hermie in my mind as not Jodie’s son. It comes up so much, Jodie sees him that way, literally claims he was “scammed out of a son”, Hermie and Taylor are referred to as related multiple times, there’s nothing you can do to retcon that. Therefore, despite being a creation of scam, Hermie is still technically Jodie’s son. What do I mean by that? Personally, I like to think that whilst creating Hermie, scam knew that it takes two parents to make a child and thus pulled “dna” (I assume it’s like magic bc neither of them are human) from both himself and Jodie, either because that was the last long running relationship he was in, or because it was the funniest option. This, I think, leaves us with two possible options for the scamster timeline.

Original scamster timeline is correct/they broke up sometime earlier, but then three years pre-canon scam likely decided it would be fun to make a kid but didn’t want to deal with baby stuff so he pulled stuff from himself and Jodie to make like a 12 year old and then when he got bored of it not only did he implant fake memories into both hermie and his adoptive parents, but also within Jodie, making him believe that they had a son together 12 years ago but scam ran away with him, breaking up with Jodie in the process

scam and Jodie had actually been together for almost 20 years straight and Jodie was aware of, and maybe even excited about, the kid scam was making, but then scam just immediately whisked him away, implanting him within a mortal family. The reason I say they stayed together instead of breaking up and getting back together is the way jodie talks abt it, it seems as though he was blindsided by scam leaving him. This is obviously the less likely (ha!) option, but I think definitely still a possibility

Professor Seo's voice echoed around the room, and he knew how to command the respect of his students, who listened carefully and with great attention.

Admittedly, talking about Neperian logarithms wasn't the most exciting thing, but teacher Seo always knew how to make the class fun and interesting. And let's be honest, the students loved watching him. Sure, he wasn't very tall, to the point where some of his students were taller than him, which hurt his ego, but he was quite imposing with his muscular build, making all the girls who saw him as the ideal man and the boys who wished they had his body squint.

How could a man with such a perfect figure love something as complex as maths? He looked like a jock but talk like a nerd !

Even some teachers wondered. His name Changbin, he aroused the curiosity of many. At just 24 years of age, he had already graduated as a full professor and was proudly teaching at SKZ high school.

Physically, he came across as cold, authoritarian and even frightening. Even the tone of his voice was hoarse. But in reality he was so bubbly, naive, almost innocent.

His former students still had the image in their minds of inviting their teacher to a karaoke party to celebrate their graduation, not expecting him to dance so energetically to popular girlgroup songs.

Changbin was a mystery in itself, a polynomial equation of the second degree;

Difficult to solve when you don't know. Hard to spot if you don't have the eye. Difficult to understand if you're not paying attention.

At lunchtime, Changbin greeted the students and left, almost skipping back to the administration office where he was a member in order to put his things on his desk.

—"You're the only one who's this jovial on a Monday" commented Chaeryeong, his colleague and friend, also a teacher but of Korean. "Clearly I don't know how you can expend so much energy and still be energetic" she said with a sigh.

—That's right, it's Monday! Which means that this lunchtime it's yachaejeon for lunch" he exclaimed proudly.

Ah yes, maths aside, Changbin was a real foodie, so every occasion was perfect for eating. He didn't just eat his food, he savored it.

—"Pff, I'm not surprised that you're still single".

Chaeryeong left the advisory board first, followed by a Changbin displeased with her words.

Clearly no one was unaware of Changbin's love of food. If the students wanted to woo him, they'd offer him chocolates so he could write his report and get a better grade.

So if you wanted to woo him ... you just had to appeal to his sweet tooth right?

At least that's what Chaeryeong had said, Chan had clearly noted every one of her words in hiq notebook. She had clearly said, "If you want Changbin to be interested in you, you have to either flirt with him with weird math puns or please his stomach."

So Bahng Christopher Chan, a sports teacher, had decided to try everything to attract the attention of Changbin, the popular maths teacher who had melted his heart.

It all started at the beginning of the school year, when Chan was transferred to Korea after a few years as a sports teacher in Australia. Although he had a confident build and appearance, his first day had been very stressful: he knew no one, everyone seemed busy with their own subjects and problems to come and help a teacher whose subject wasn't even seens as essential.

All except Changbin

At lunchtime, he sat down with him in the refectory, smiled broadly and told him "It's always confusing on the first day of school, even as a teacher".

That smile, that ease with socializing, that way of putting him at ease

He'd fallen straight under his spell.

Now you can understand why, on that Monday morning, when Changbin was giving a fascinating lecture on Neperian logarithm to his class, Chan had come up to Chaeryeong and begged her to give him some advice.

He would at least hope it would work, he really wanted Changbin to feel as loved as Chan felt when he came to talk to him.

—"So what does the triangle say to the circle?"

—"....I don't know but i guess you're going to tell me."

—"You're pointless"

Clearly a normal morning for Changbin, taking a coffee break with Chaeryeong who, although annoyed by his friend's jokes, always paid attention and listened to him, showing how much the brunette meant to her despite her bored expression.

—"I've got one too", said Chan, suddenly intruding on their conversation. Chaeryeong didn't mind, knowing Chan's intention while avoiding Changbin's math joke and laugh.

—"Go ahead, but I warn you, I know all the jokes.

So Chan took a straight, serious look before clearing his throat and speaking, "Are...are you a 45-degree angle? because you're perfect".

Changbin clearly didn't expect this, he was half flattered and half confused as a blush grew on his face. "Nice one... you got me" he said before chuckling, seeming not to understand the meaning behind the joke that was so obviously a pickup line more than a joke.

But before Chan could retort, Changbin moved away, adding that it was time for him to get to class.

—"I told you, he's slow to understand, so if you really want to seduce him, seduce his stomach!" Chaeryeong exclaimed, crossing her arms before walking away towards her desk, leaving Chan and his hand full of maths pick-up lines writtend on his hand.

Maybe she was right

—"Chae' did you put that box on my desk?"

—"Yes, because I've been madly in love with you for years and I only chose to tell you now."

Changbin just chuckled at his friend's sarcastic reply, he was intrigued by the large box in front of him, a sort of basket with a whole heap of goodies, he supposed it must have been a parent who had sent it to him, as a member of the school board and a maths teacher, he was the one whose parents turned to him to help their child find a good school or even get into the best one.

There was a letter, he would just have to know.

The outside of the letter was a pretty pink color, it was so cute, the inside, on the other hand, was empty, no message of thanks, no declaration of love, just a sentence

He closed the letter as quickly as it had been opened and moved away from her, blushing. Clearly he hadn't expected that and this person seemed to know a thing or two about mathematics to concoct a pick-up line for him that honestly seemed to work well.

—"You're so dramatic, just take the sweet and shut up or I'll shove it in your mouth".

Before pissing off his friend, Changbin mumbled a few apologies before sitting down on his desk, unwrapping the wrapping before starting to nibble on some sweets while he worked.

What he didn't suspect was that in the distance a certain sports teacher was staring impatiently in his direction, more than a little proud that his plan had worked, if he kept at it he'd one day be able to confess himself to him and they'd be together forever.

—"You know, you should slow down with the sweets."

—"And throw all that free food? Impossible" Changbin didn't even seem to react to her remark and just finished eating his doughnut, his cheek covered in powdered sugar.

—"Fine , but don't complain because you've put on weight" Chaeryeong sighed, deciding to move on as her worries to his friend went unheard.

After all, gifts from this secret admirer were becoming more and more frequent? In addition to chocolates and candies, Changbin had recently been treated to pastries ranging from muffins to doughnuts. One thing was certain, these foods were always eaten by Changbin, who hated wasting. Nevertheless, all these caloric excesses meant that after several weeks without knowing this mysterious secret admirer, the maths teacher was seriously starting to put on weight.

It was nothing at first, just a swollen abdomen and plumper cheeks. Then his thighs started rubbing together, his ass making every pair of jeans hard to wear. His belly swelled relentlessly, pushing against her shirts where between each button you could see his fat.

With all these changes, you'd think Mr Seo would have decided to go on a diet and exercise more. But he always had a reason to put it off.

"I have to correct test"

"I've got to do subjects for my class".

"I have to prepare a presentation for the administration office ".

Eventually, he became accustomed to this weight, and it even became one of his charms.

At least, the students were sure they could tempt the teachers with a few sweets, but no one was surprised to see him eating such large quantities in the canteen.

And Chan ... let's just say that he discovered that he was madly in love with Changbin, he had fallen even more for his body.

Seeing him eat so happily, rubbing his belly after a meal. Worst of all, once, when they'd both stayed late at school, he walked past the board office and caught him playing with his belly, resting it on the edge of the table and then dropping it back onto his lap.

Since, his deliveries of sweets had become more frequent and in greater quantities. And if at first his pick-up lines on maths were amusing and cute, they were becoming more and more sexual in nature, like :

At the same time, Changbin entered the office, handing over some files for next year's re-enrolment of his second-year class.

He smiled innocently as he waddled happily along.

—"Oh, looks like you've got a date tonight too, Mr. Seo" commented Felix, one of the secretaries.

—"How did you guess ?"

—"Mr Bahng dropped by earlier and he was just as euphoric as you."

At these words, Changbin could only blush, his phone began to vibrate, and he quickly deposited his file before claiming an emergency at the admissions office.

-"It's crazy, they're all going to have a date tonight, what a nice coincidence" commented Yerim.

—"What if it's not a coincidence ?"

It was getting late, almost everyone had left. All except Changbin, who stayed late to design his lessons for his students. He always tried to make everything fun and entertaining. Even if he was in charge of several classes, he would create each subject for each student, confronting them with their difficulties so that they could improve, but above all not compare themselves with those who had some facility in maths.

He was a very devoted teacher to his students and to his subject. So much so that he didn't feel a presence enter his office until he came up and hugged him from behind.

—"Channie! What are you doing here so late?"

Chan chuckled before pitting his lips against his lover's. "You promised me you'd be home. But you weren't when I rang the bell, so I assumed you were still there".

Changbin couldn't help blushing, he was ashamed that Chan had waited outside his house to finally come back here. But Chan seemed to notice his concern and ruffled his soft hair before adding, "I bough us something to eat!"

—"Oh, you shouldn't have Channie, I told you next time I was paying" changbin pouted before nudging his lover gently.

—"Get off work early and maybe you'll finally invite me in for dinner" he said with a sneer.

But as Chan brought out the bowls of noodles, he was surprised to count 3. He looked up at Chan, especially when he opened two bowls of noodles towards him, while he was content with just one.

Changbin was certainly naive, but not stupid, and he put his hand on his belly and rubbed it, a sort of habit he'd acquired since his belly rested on his knees.

—"Why do I get two bowls and you don't?"

Chan, who had started to eat, choked, looked up at him shyly and pretexted "it was the offer, two bought one free".

—"More like you're trying to fatten me up!

—"So what? Doesn't it work?"

—"I've had to change clothes sizes three times since the beginning of the year."

—"I'm just trying to keep you healthy", he said, grabbing one of the bowls and feeding it directly to Changbin, who didn't seem really surprised by it. In fact, he was used to it.

—"As a sports coach, wouldn't your aim be to keep me fit? I used to be an musclar".

But chan chuckle, it's true that if Changbin had put on so much weight it was mostly dut to his secret admirer who liked to send him sweets and puck up lines about maths.

—I should, but I love you more than your body. And I like to have something to hold on to, if you know what I mean".

At his words, Changbin coughed lightly and gave him a light tap on the shoulder, while Chan smiled in satisfaction.

—"So you love me like this?"

—"I love every one of your curves Binnie, I could kiss your whole body to prove it"

—"What if... I liked it too? What if I wanted more? Would you like that?"

—"You can do what you like with your body, my love, I'll be there to support you, but if you want to put on weight, I'd be delighted to help you, I love to see you eat well"

Chan underestimated the impact of his words on Changbin; he seemed to be zoning out, but in reality, he was just holding back a groan. The mix of being fed plus being worshipped by Chan was a big turn-on for him, who just continued to eat in silence while Chan fed him, commenting on how handsome he was, how cute his belly was, how his ass drove him crazy.

The evening had begun to unravel when, by the end of the second bowl of noodles, Changbin's shirt was stretched to the limit, his belly showing through the gaps in the shirt as his buttons struggled to stay in place.

As soon as his shirt ripped, the two of them looked at each other, obviously just as excited by it.

—"Do you want to do it here?" Changbin whispered.

—"The closet on the second floor is always empty, there's no surveillance camera.

—"It's ... too far"

—"Don't worry I'll carry you my sweet prince, you'll have nothing to do, just enjoy"

—"Channie I'm too big for you to carry"

But Chan didn't seem worried and complied, carrying the brunette in bridal style. "I'm training to lift weights at the gym for this moment my love"

Felix was puzzled; he liked the gossip between secretaries, but here they were clearly belittling a teacher over his physical appearance. Just as he was about to give a speech on the importance of not judging a book by its cover, a group of students rushed in, all looking shocked as if they'd seen a ghost.

—"What's the matter, Ji-Seok?"

—"It's Mr. Bahng and Mr. Seo they're ...."

—"What's going on? Has something bad happened?" Felix asked worriedly, putting his hand on the high school student's shoulder, as if to reassure him. The boy looked so panicked that something serious must have happened!

—"My friends and I were on our way to the music club when we heard a noise in the 2nd floor closet . We wanted to see who it was and... we caught Coach Bahng and Mr. Seo having... you know ".

At this news, all jaws dropped, only Felix smirked slightly and turned to the two secretaries who were talking about Coach Bahng's love life.

—'Not the type to please a coach uh?"

All day long, the rumor of Coach Bahng and maths teacher Seo making out in a closet was spreading fast, and honestly, neither of them had tried to deny it.

—"You know what? You clearly don't want to study, and I don't feel like teaching today" he said before taking a seat, looking far too exhausted for someone who'd been standing for 35 minutes. The students at the beginning shouted victory, as if they were going to get answers to their questions.

Unfortunately, they forgot for a moment that Changbin was still a maths teacher who loved his subject a little too much...

–"At the next class, I'll give you a test, and if everyone has more than 95, I'll answer all your questions."

With a satisfied smile, he took a chocolate bar out of his pocket and ate it as he saw all his students suddenly get down to work, as if scalar product had suddenly become the most interesting thing in the world.

Unfortunately, Changbin was a victim of his own success: his students were so passionate that on the next test, they all got more than 95...

If only he knew that it wasn't only Chan who was passionate about his body...

Only if what was meant to be a joke between classmates became a real exercise, which at first spread through the class, making a few laugh.

But the exercise began to leak out to other classes.

Surprisingly, you'd think the students would laugh at Professor Seo, but he was far too proud of his body to take this sort of thing the wrong way.

How did the exercise leak out? It was Professor Seo who did it.

He had caught Jin-seok reading a piece of paper in class, and taking it, thinking it was some sweet words he was exchanging with a student, he was surprised when he read the statement.

—"It's pretty well formulated for high school students , to be honest, but to make it more realistic there are several things to take into account. Moreover, it is not specified whether the sequence is arithmetical or geometrical; we simply assume it by seeing u(n+1). What's more, we don't have any data on the door's circumference, and weight isn't a really determinable criterion of whether someone can pass through a door or not. Instead of looking for when Professor Seo won't be able to get through the door to give you a superb maths lesson, let's look instead for when his chair won't fit any more, bearing in mind that the weight limit is 115 kg. So as soon as (un) is greater than or equal to 115, this superb chair will no longer be suitable for my body. Any questions?"

The class was speechless, amazed at how down to earth their teacher was.

—"You... you're not mad?"

—"Why should I be? I'm very confident in my body, and I don't mind if my weight helps my students work harder. Look, you've all got together to create an exercise based on a joke, you've understood that maths is a funny thing once you understand it, that means I've made you want to learn. Look how much progress you've made this year, clearly if you don't all have your diplomas by the end of the school year I'll be very angry".

The whole class laughed. They were lucky to have a teacher like Mr. Seo. A man who loved maths and shared his love of the subject.

Why did the principal reach out to you to meet him at his office? Were you in trouble? Did he finally decide to expel you because of your scores? No, it couldn’t be, everyone knows that type of thing only happens in American movies, so, why were you waiting there and nervously avoiding eye contact? Also, a weird guy -he was wearing a cap indoors and that was enough for you to consider him weird-, who undoubtedly was not a teacher, even less a student was awkwardly standing in the corner of the room. You prayed for a word, just a single word, that could break the tense silence. As if your prayers had been heard for the very first time in your whole life, the awkward guy with the cap crouched down to whisper something in the director’s ear and as he vaguely nodded, the principal eventually spoke. 

“Miss Kano, I have summoned you to propose and discuss an extracurricular activity involving you and one of your classmates” classmate? Who was he talking about? You started getting more curious, letting go of your previous anxieties, maybe this proposal could be fun, right? As long as they didn't force you to study maths for two hours every day after school, it would be pleasant. You heard the strange man clear his throat and you prepared yourself to finally hear him talk, he made you more curious than creeped out. “It seems your, uh, friend may take his time to arrive yet” so your so-called classmate was a guy, your options to guess decreased, “allow me to introduce myself, I’m Kyuma Ginji, filmmaker and the director of this new project”.

Someone knocked on the door softly, so softly it could almost have been ignored if the people in the room weren’t so expectant of the arrival of the fourth member and the principal barely said a word allowing the newcomer to enter the room. Just like that, all your expectations, interest and curiosity died right there without an opportunity to meet the real world. The one classmate who could disturb your day with only his presence set foot into the office and sat in the chair next to you. “Good morning, I’m sorry about the delay, I was taking care of a homework-related matter with Mister Kuzuryu” you tried not to look at him but even his voice annoyed you.

Mr. Kyuma brushed it off and resumed his self-introduction, “now that you both are here, I will explain you my project. Basically, my crew and I want to portray the lives of the senior students with the best and worst grades respectively, and see how you interact with each other for a month” no, simply no, there was no way you would interact with Chishiya for a whole month in front of cameras, not even if a gun was pointed at your head, “if you both agree, we’ll sign a contract and start shooting the first day of June, that way we’ll end at the start of July without disrupting your midterm exams. Please let me know what you think”.

“I think I’ll pass…” “Sir, are we going to get paid?” that rude cat-face with toilet paper-coloured hair dared to cut you off. Who did he think he was? Sometimes, you said to yourself it was nonsense to dislike him with so much energy, and maybe you could start over. You wouldn’t dare to befriend him, but you could finally leave each other alone, but with moments like this, you realized that would never happen. “Yes, of course, all of that information is in more detail in the contract, would you like to see it?” Mr. Kyuma said as he quickly, and really clumsily, directed himself towards his briefcase taking out a portfolio which, you assumed, stored your contracts.

He handed you each a piece of paper which contained all the clauses and conditions, you started reading it but reminded yourself you weren’t interested, if you accepted, you would work closely with Chishiya for a whole freaking month. “Uh, sorry, as I was saying…” “It’s okay, I’ll join the documental” and again, see? This was the reason why you would never work willingly with Chishiya, also, it was odd of Chishiya to accept something like this. No matter how much you disliked him, you couldn’t deny you knew him very well, at the end of the day, you essentially watched him grow. And this wasn’t usual for him. You noticed everyone seeing you expecting an answer, Chishiya smirked at you irritating your insides, “Miss Kano, we only need you to agree and we’ll sign the contracts tomorrow, then start filming as scheduled” oh no, there it was, the pressure. 

It puzzled you why Chishiya agreed to this, the truth is, he had two big reasons; first, he would get paid and the amount was not low, and second, he heard you trying to deny the offer so he figured out that by agreeing, he would have the opportunity to bother you and see that annoyed face of yours that pleased him so much. If we are being honest, it puzzled him as much as you, if not more, why he got so much satisfaction by being around you and pushing your buttons, but the answer was something he deep inside knew he wouldn’t like to acknowledge.

Oh, you were aware there was no way out. Chishiya was already on board and the producer looked at you with puppy-like eyes, anticipating your positive answer. You knew you didn’t owe him anything, but still, he seemed young and hopeful. Even to the untrained eye, it was evident this was his first project. “Uh, why not? But I would like to mention this to my parents first” you talked with hesitation, contemplating the slightest chance your parents would disapprove of their youngest daughter appearing on a documentary showing off her awful grades.

Certainly, your parents weren’t against it, they didn’t even bat an eye, as per usual, they didn’t care about your life while you weren’t out there doing drugs -you weren’t sure about that testament either-. “Could you hand me the salad? Thanks. Yeah, your teacher, or was it your principal? Not so sure, but I got a call, they explained everything. You can participate, honey, it’s not like you’re going to get distracted from your studies or anything” your mom chuckled as if what she had said just recently was funny, but no one else at the table was laughing. Family dinners were always the same, your parents making passive-aggressive comments towards you, maybe praise your sister once or twice and silence. Not awkward, nor comfortable either, just plain silence.

“Mom, I’m not going to join the project” as you said, your parents released a “why?!” into the air in unison. You barely muttered “because I don’t want to” when your dad replied in a demanding tone, “that’s not a valid answer. You never want to do anything. If you do it, you’ll have money and at least one thing to write in your resume” of course the one time you needed your parents to mind their business as they always did was the time they decided to involve themselves into your life. “The man I spoke to earlier mentioned you and Shuntaro Chishiya, if I’m not mistaken, would be filmed. He is Dr. Chishiya’s son, right? He’s the best student, you could use some of his knowledge”.

That was it, you couldn’t stand Chishiya, you couldn’t stand your family, you were at your limit. You stuffed your mouth with the remaining food on your plate and stood up without saying a word, you heard your parents calling your name, but it did not matter to you at the moment. Taking the book you borrowed from the school library and laying in your bed, you found your desired peace, or so you believed until you heard a door knock. You didn’t answer in the case that would make whoever knocked on your door go away. 

It didn’t, instead, a rather familiar face appeared as they opened your door. “Forgot to lock it” Mira grinned at you, “what do you want?” you said while covering your face with the book you were reading at the moment -The Silent Cry by Kenzaburo Oe-. “Can I come in?” you did not use your energy to say no because your sister would ignore you and enter your room whether you like it or not.

She sat next to you in your bed, “I think you shouldn’t deny the film offer”, “are you joining them in this nonsense? Traitor…” you moved yourself to face the wall because you were actually hurt she was taking your parents’ side instead of yours. “It’s a really good opportunity, I don’t think you should miss it, also, why you don’t want to do it? Even though my parents think you are lazy, I know you’re down to try everything at least once”.

“Why are you being so nosy? It’s not like it matters to you or something” you faced her again and stood right up to be at her height. “You are right, it does not matter to me, but clearly does to you, that’s why it’s bothering you so much and you don’t want to say the reason why. Whatever, my opinion shouldn’t be important, but I do think you should do it. You’ll get paid, maybe you could show off some of your poetry, you know, and mom and dad would love to see you” Mira stood up as she talked and was about to disappear through the door that connected your room to the hall but she stopped when you called her name. 

There was a simple phrase you knew you had to say, different from what Mira would have liked to hear, but you didn’t say any of those. “You’re too good with words, you’re like a congressman” your sister laughed leaning against the door, “oh, god, I wish I was a congressman, do you know how much they get paid a year?” a sweet moment of giggles and then, a comfortable silence between you and her settled in the room, “anyways, I have to study, think about what I told you. Good luck with your book”

Yeah i went again on sunday and really wanted to cry after because it's over forever Q_Q i am inconsolable but for the fact that there may be a halloween party... but uhhhhhhh anyway here's what I noticed this time!!

Ad libs:

Final show energy & lots of ad libs! Which were apparently real unscripted ad libs!! A lot of them were just little things (so I can't recount most of them) but they were very very good. the blorbos became real people for a second there

When Rich is looking for Mountain Dew Red at the party, Jenna appears and says "I have Mountain Dew Blue?" and he explodes at her (possibly "Not now, Jenna!")

When Christine and Jeremy talk together at the party, they're sitting on beanbags; after they get scared off by the skeleton guy, they're laughing and crawling back to their seats - Christine, through laughter: "oh where's the beanbag...."

Changes (?)

VIMH: Rich: "The ladies are gonna get to know the real Richard Goranski... And the dudes." Then he stares into the distance for like 30 seconds (a very long time), making calculating gestures in the air (like the woman with math meme) before going "Oh. My god............... I am totally bi!"

Maybe wrong, but I swear there was a wind part added to the middle of Michael in the Bathroom??? I thought it might be a flute or digital flute..... but as a flautist I might be projecting.....

The Play: Multiple thin green lights flickered down on people as they got squipped, with a cute video game chime sound. But fairly certain this was always there and I just noticed it this time lmao

Smartphone Hour: Background acting on the little platform at the very back of the stage: a scooby-doo esque chase sequence where a firefighter rushes on from SR and disappears SL (implied Jake's house is SL); the fireman reappears with Jake in his arms and runs back SR to safety. Then Jake runs back across to get something from his house and the fireman is trying to stop him. Then Jake runs back out of the house holding a teddy bear he saved from the fire; the fireman is chasing him back out of the house. It was fucking hilarious 10/10 especially because I couldn't be sure if it was a new addition or if I just completely filtered it out last time like a basketball gorilla dslfjdslfk

Also on Jake: between the teddy bear and the Upgrade scene (also detailed by Dani) where he's talking about archery while holding a plush duck - unsure dramaturgically if it's supposed to be a real dead duck or a toy, but anyway.... Jake who likes stuffies??? IDK if I buy it but I don't know enough about Jake to NOT buy it and its also a very fun headcanon I think so it's going on the pile for me. he can collect plushies with jeremy as far as im concerned dsljfsdkfjs

Oh yeah Jeremy also had a big white duck plush on his bed. edit: this is actually a seagull plush! Its name is Katie and it belongs to stage crew member Anya!

Christine actor was actually amazing she has this giggly honk voice she uses when being like obnoxiously loud and silly and idk how to describe it but such intense LOUD SILLYGIRL ENERGY. A little different than the chris im used to and it was fun to see another version of her!!

Maybe I'm insane but I think Christine also pronounced Jeremy kinda like 2 syllables (Jare - me). This extremely slight difference somehow led to me perceiving her singing "Is he worth it? Germyyyyyyy!" IDK Sorry Jaclyn if you are reading this ldksfjdlsk

Lots of times when Jeremy is talking about becoming cool he does little hip gyrations (think Rich at the urinal i guess but more subtle)

Jeremy does this thing where he holds his hand bent stiff with his fingers all together and taps hard on his right temple to express some kind of frustration with the SQUIP- e.g. when he's trying to get the SQUIP to turn on after the first day; during the end of the Halloween party, etc. Actually it very much has the same conceptual energy as "C'c'c'come on....." now that I think about it

Michael blows a cloud of smoke during a few of his entrances (MTS and maybe Halloween - or that was Dustin maybe)

He also uses a vape pen I think? When he says 'we gotta get stoned in my basement'

M: "Humanity has stopped evolving!" Jeremy then takes like 20 seconds of looking confused before going (approximately) "is that supposed to be good...?"

"Christiiiiiine Canigula!" Each Christine section he eventually (around 3rd time) starts using this fanboy totally-losing-his-mind-over-this voice which is REALLY hard to describe but i'll try: like lower & less articulate, like how it sounds when you raise your soft palate (?), and going up at the end kind of laugh-like like he's really excited. (For a bmc reference maybe sounds a little like will roland's tone in i even got some blood flowing / with no computer screen around). Anyway i'm not gonna lie it did make him sound really lame jsdlkfjdsf

"Why can't someone just help me out?" As Jeremy sings this bridge it's all dark except for a light on him. Students line up chairs behind him and sit down. At this line, two guys walk forwards on either side and touch his shoulders (looking kind of solemn / sympathetic) , and guide him back to sit in the chair in the middle. Then the lights come up on everyone and more group choreo wheeee

Christine: "Sorry, Jeremy, did you say something?" -> after this scene, she runs off giggling loudly, apparently glad to not be interrupted and VERY visibly excited about Jake asking her out

(Again fun to see this!! as a jeremy stan i am definitely guilty of making michael a godlike perfect friend to jeremy and like.. no... they don't actually mesh that well even just in the script!! Often times Jeremy doesn't understand or care about the things Michael says. So yeah absorbing this into my headcanons now thank you)

Also back wall was this like vaporwave looking low-poly 2 person first person shooter game footage (think wolfenstein but with a very different aesthetic - purple and blue, and i think with some objects depicted in mesh).

When Jeremy's spasming on the ground (last time I thought he looked mostly in pain - this time he was vibrating a bit more like he lost muscle control) - local build-a-bear employee Jared Kleinman (JARED KLEINMAN...) and some other people start filming him.

Jared keeps filming him through the scene until SQUIP: "All they see is you having an animated conversation... with yourself." Jeremy turns and notices him; Jared doesn't stop filming but just waves at him nonchalantly (in a mocking way like hey buddy welcome back to reality)

Jared also has a BaB apron and BaB backpack on (or a bear sticking out of his backpack i dont remember). Pretty sure he also had a bear with him in another scene, probably Halloween?

I decided to only watch them during this song (/ _ \) Based on their acting when they walked near the stage stairs, they had climbed to the back of the bleachers and were walking precariously on the outside of the railing - specifically, they went over the stair railings - first Brooke and she teeters a bit and jokingly pretends like she's gonna fall off; Jeremy goes under the rail, comes up on the other side and does a gesture like *tada!*. Then they sit down together and are talking and its just really cute. making me ship puppy love over here jdsifojdslkfdjsflk

Halloween

Michael was at the dance in costume - during a certain point (I think right before Rich starts losing it) Michael gets lost out of the group choreo, seems to be stressed out and runs off stage (presumably to the bathroom)

One of the guys is dressed up like Guy Fieri and it's really good. Like I remember last time I even had a moment where I realized I was interpreting this actor as playing The Real Guy Fieri At Jake's Halloween Party. Also in MITB he uses his hat (which is a combo of visor and fake hair) to knock on the door.

Chloe: "...rock this baby fast asleep" then, laughing: "Goo goo ga ga!!" and she kinda topples onto him. The actress said she got this from the West End production!

When Jeremy says "I can't stand up." It was kind of implied it's because he has an erection not because his legs are frozen; right before this line he stands up then sits down and puts a pillow in his lap. Either way though ig it was still the SQUIP stopping him (S: "you're welcome.")

- In a scene where Cha Eunwoo was filming with a dog, he filmed with liquid-type dog treats on his lips because he had to kiss the dog. I think everyone filmed it while holding back their laughter.

- Rather than trying to get close to dogs, I think everyone worked hard to create a safe and comfortable environment for the dogs to film.

If you were to become an actual teacher, what subject would you feel most confident about teaching, and what subject would you feel least confident about?

- I think I could teach math well because it is a subject with clearly defined answers. It is also the subject that I studied hard during my school days.

How would you spend your time if you become a dog for a day?

- I would want to spend a simple yet eventful day, eating, sleeping, and going for a walk. These are very simple activities, but I believe these activities are difficult to do attentively every day. [I want] to eat very well, to walk very well, and to sleep very well.

If you were to become a dog, which breed do you think you would become or would you like to be?

- I want to be a Jindo dog (indigenous dog native to Jindo in South Korea) that looks good-natured and also appears to be easygoing.

What does your cast usually talk about in your group chat? Which actor is the most active?

- Although there is a group chat, we only exchange simple greetings and photos. Instead, there are more things to talk about when we meet in person because we are similar in age.

Which actor tends to bring the most energy on set?

- All the actors created a good atmosphere in their own ways, but I want to say that actor Yoon Hyun Soo who plays Yul brought the most energy. His existence alone is lovable and he exuded adorable energy, so I remember the set always becoming brighter [with his presence].

🗨 Cha Eunwoo: Everyone brought energy to set because the set was filled with actors who are around the same age. If I had to choose, since actors Park Gyu Young and Lee Hyun Woo were similar in age to me and we joked around a lot whenever we met, I think the three of us were the most fun on set.

What kind of comments or reviews do you hope to hear from “A Good Day to Be a Dog” viewers?

- I hope to hear that this is a drama that makes them feel good from just watching. All the actors and staff worked hard on filming so that the viewers could feel happy.

What criteria do you take into consideration when choosing acting projects?

- Usually, I choose characters that can show different vibes from the character from my previous project. While acting various characters, I want to start out on a clean slate, and I think it’s one of my routines to accept a new character. It’s also a personal ambition to showcase diverse sides to viewers.

Do you have your own way of getting closer to your co-stars when beginning a new project?

- I believe naturally is the best way. Since all actors are present in different ways on set, we are all each present in our most natural selves on set, and we gradually become closer while being slightly considerate of each other to make each other comfortable.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time?

- I do the exercise that I feel like doing at the time, and then I stay at home doing nothing. Whether it is ballet, weight training, or pilates, doing the exercise that I feel like doing that day and then resting at home is the greatest hobby and routine to me.

What is something new that you want to learn one day?

- I learned how to play the bass guitar to play a character, but after filming ended, I didn’t have the opportunity to learn. If I get the chance, I want to learn to play the bass guitar some more.

Indy 500 2024

The Indy 500 is an entirely different beast than any race I've ever been to. There are 300,000 in the audience; the bleachers all around the track and all the infield mounds are absolutely full to bursting.

I'm not usually a big crowds person, but I do actually really like being around a bunch of race fans, because amidst some people being racist/sexist, there is overall a strong shared love of something, and a lot of fanatical joy, and I love fanatical joy. But--and I'll preface this by saying that I'm admittedly not an Indycar fan, either, so I don't have the strongest leg to stand on here--there were a lot of Girlfriends indulging their partners at this race. Which is very polite of them, but they talked so much and it was all so insipid. And as much as I love participating in shared fanatical joy, I really don't like engaging in fannish activity if the people around me aren't equally interested. So these extremely chatty Girlfriends were a downer for me. That sounds gatekeepy, but I mean it in a way like, GURL, if you're going to do something for someone else, and you're not actually interested in it, you need to be genuinely open to the idea of being interested in it for a few hours!!! Be curious and thoughtful about a new experience!!!! Don't just say "they have to run 200 laps? Don't they get bored? I'd get bored."

Anyway, that aside, the big thing I noticed that is also going to sound self-evident and insipid is that they are going so fast. That video above will not do the live experience justice.

Like, if you watch a bunch of racing in a weekend, you can absolutely tell that there's a major speed difference between, say, ARCA, vs. trucks, vs. Xfinity/Cup. But even without direct basis for comparison, the Indy 500 is so fast. The difference between a 185ish NASCAR average and 220 is so fast. The difference between an Indycar's average speed on a road course and on an oval is so fast. I've been to a number of Indycar's road course races at IMS, and speed-wise, there's no comparison to Indy on the oval.

It's the point at which form and design become only blurs of color, and you know the car you're rooting for only through math (running order) and instinct. What you can see is only the impression of a car; it is sound and wind pressure and the ghost form of something moving toward and past you.

I will always be a stock car person, in terms of sound and shape, and they, too, feel like this when you're down at the bottom of the stands, by the catchfence, but it is very special to see these svelte arrows at a wider magnification, still just these impressionistic entities racing under the colors of the Brickyard. It's beautiful.

I was rooting for:

Kyle Larson (because I am me)

Roman Grosjean (for his wet cat energy)

Sting Ray Robb (because his name is Sting Ray Robb)

And for the win, was rooting for either Scott Dixon (because CGR) or Pato O'Ward (because of Arrow McLaren teammate solidarity). Which didn't come to pass--I am so sorry, Pato--but they certainly made Newgarden/Rossi work for it, and it was a great finish.

I'm really pleased with how well Kyle Larson did in his first Indy 500, and first Indy race. He mentioned before the race that he wasn't sure that he wanted to attack off the bat, because he'd never been through a start or restart in an Indycar, and he definitely got a lot of experience on that front in this race, LOL.

Starting 5th, he got dropped back to P14ish at the start, and spent some time there before working his way back into the T10 and ultimately back to P6, where he spent most of the race. A speeding penalty in the latter third of the race put him a lap down, though Will Power's caution allowed him the wave-around and he got a chance to lead laps of the Indy 500 for a while due to long-pitting, which I feel like was primarily for the fun and experience of it, and a little for the hope that maybe there'd be a lucky caution and he could pit under yellow and steal some of that track position. That wasn't to be, so the finish is more reflective of his one mistake than how he ran in the race overall. I think he did really well and I'd love to see him and Hendrick and Arrow-McLaren attempt the H1100 again, without the weather stress. <3

It took little to no time for you two to find things in common because as soon as you would find a topic of conversation, Yuji would let his words run away with him. At times he wasn’t a great listener due to the fact he was a little bit of a motor mouth when he got comfortable with his friends, but he would always realise eventually and be extremely apologetic, which you found adorable. Despite his very vocal opinions, he loved listening to you talking about almost anything and everything; he found you fascinating.

- At times you would worry that you were getting on his nerves because you were getting carried away with the conversation, but Yuji would always reassure you that it was more than okay and that you were simply just really interested in whatever you were talking about. You loved this about him because most people would get frustrated and just stop listening all together. He just truly understood you. Of course there were still some occasions where you would be a little off, especially if you hadn’t had the greatest of days. At first, Yuji didn’t really know what to do because he hadn’t been in these kinds of situations, more so because he didn’t want to upset you any further. However, it didn’t take him very long to figure out what the best ways to help you were, even it just meant sitting in comfortable silence with you, so you knew that he was there if you needed anything.

- Sometimes, Yuji would feel as though you weren’t interested in him as you would bring up other people on occasions, of course you weren’t doing this maliciously, but it still made him a little bit doubtful at times. Despite this, he was determined to stay by your side no matter what because you truly meant everything to him. He hadn’t really made any advancements towards you romantically but he didn’t really hide his feelings very well because much like you, he got flustered extremely easily and even just being around you would often make him smile and blush.

To my kinfolk back home- Hello family! I hope we are all well back at home. I had some time free from classes, and wanted to send you a machine typed letter! Isn't this neat? I love the straight perfect lines the stamps produce, they remind me of Oltha's clawcraft, tell them they better get serious if they don't want to be replaced by a machine, haha! Anyway, Turnia is beautiful. I've been missing Rishia, don't mistake me, but being so close to the sea, and the many rivers, and marshes and rainforests, some of which are so thick you cannot see through to the top. I've walked through cities strung on the forest floor, the buildings twisting up the trunks of the colossal trees like vines. I swam in the Nar in a place called Koleshtis Bay. I thought it would be fun, but it was honestly really scary and I made it the least far out from all my friends. I'll go back twenty or so cycles and we'll see who's scared then! I've also seen bugs as big as me, some trundling around eating fruit, leaves, and other greenery, usually while making the strangest noises I've ever heard. It's like claws clicking together at speed, but so much louder. Others hunt carnivorously*,usually with stingers and nasty beaks that make me wince. I love it though, it's just so different from life in the Plains. Tell Thelka that if they don't behave, I'll send one of these to be put in their bedroll. I've also been learning many things in school, from math and "formal" writing, to the basics of the Universal Laws Of Wefting And Severance! (doesn't that sound cool? I'll explain it in another letter, but basically there are other universes, who's energies we can take and give to, to do all sorts of cool things! I asked the teacher what those things were, but she said that's a bit too advanced for cubs. (We'll see about that!) Finally, I heard about our family out East. It's really terrible what's going on out there, one of my friend's said his family wasn't even given time to gather their blankets before they were forced to leave. Someone else even showed pictures of the convoys, it looked so miserable just thinking about it makes it hard to enjoy my time here. The idea of a war like the ones Oltha talks about scare me, and while I love being out here, I cannot wait to be back home to hunker down with all of you for Baika, where we can spend the whole season reading books and playing card games inside.
