Bleach Volume 69.6 - "Never Odd or Even"

I turned another art piece from the great @ken1ro_u into a Volume Cover. It's mostly meant to be a supplemental image for a rewrite I did where I envisioned Shinji using his Bankai during the storming of the Royal Palace. The name and the volume number are meant to be a palindrome: "a word, phrase, or sequence that reads the same backwards as forwards", reflecting his Zanpakuto abilities.

It is! Yamatoshi is Yamada Toshiya—the executive animation director of the original series and an animator who works as a character designer working for Pokemon, it says so on their bio (they also worked on Yokai Watch and other works!), they still work for OLM (formerly known as Oriental Light & Magic--they animate Pokemon!). Followed by head animator Iwane and other PokeAni staff. ^^

(Trip's hair was soooo choppy... choppier than his final design and a little shorter too--I like how Trip's hair just gets progressively longer--the fly-away hairs from the top, too! Round little face too!! His suit jacket and hoodie had so many more details too (I think I recall an animator drawing in the hoodie's cords once or twice in show too...) I'm amused by how much more of a bishounen Paul was in his earlier design too, PFFT.

And yeah, like owls-den pointed out, no little heels on this early design!! Maybe they added it later on to give him a more Servine-like look? (Also, the way his shoes are drawn early on makes it more vague what kind of shoes they are, the final design, it looks like he just slips them on, but the beta design, I almost wanna believe... velcro shoes. Trip can't tie shoelaces. I couldn't until my late teens, no shame, BUT STILL.)
