Details to keep in mind:

Consider your character's design and my style before you submit an enquiry! Some details like overly complicated designs, clothing, etc. may not translate well to formline! When it comes to animals and animalistic characters, the formline will keep the main animal the design is meant to be based on in mind (Ie, semi-canine designs may lean towards traditional canine shapes, etc.)

Because of this, I recommend sending an enquiry only if your character leans towards the animalistic or anthropomorphic side. No NSFW/R18 enquiries.

Payment is to be made via Square, Stripe, or Interac E-Transfer. Due to issues I've seen happen to other artists using PayPal, I'm hesitant to use that service for commissions of this price amount. If PayPal is the only possible service that you can use, please let me know in your enquiry and I can make an exception.

Estimated turnaround for this commission type is 3 weeks to a month and a half depending on the size and complexity. This may change depending on my job search, and I will update commissioners personally if the commission timeline changes!

Also important clarification: these custom designs are not intended to be tattoo designs, please don't send an enquiry with the intent of using them as such!

Extra characters are half what the cost of a single character is (eg. a full body shaded extra character is +$25, bringing the total to $75)

Complicated designs might net you a little bit of an extra charge, but it shouldn't exceed more than 10 or 15 dollars, depending on what you're buying and how complex it is

Urban settings and complex mechanics are weak points, but can be done at an additional charge, since they take forever to draw lol

• You receive updates for each stage of the workflow (initial sketch, line, color, shading) and get a full-sized png of the artwork once it’s done

TIME FOR AN UPDATED COMMISSIONS POST! Pricing full and half-body illustrations can now vary based on complexity. (By 'complexity' I usually mean 'video game armor', as I've noticed those tend to take twice as long as I otherwise budget time for. Overly detailed armor, a complicated weapon, things of that nature.)

Also as of today, Weds Sept 18, MY QUEUE IS EMPTY AND I HAVE SOME TIME BETWEEN JOBS! Work with hard printing deadlines comes first so sometimes these can take a while; if you get in touch now you'll see a much quicker turnaround than usual. :)

These are my terms for character commissions specifically. If you're looking for a scene with a background, prices will rise pretty quickly, as putting together a whole illustration is a different process! Also, these are for personal use only, not for publication; I'm a full-time illustrator, though, and always looking for professional work! Get in touch!

Availability & Timing:

I don’t have a slot system and usually don’t open and close commissions (unless I get REALLY busy) but I’m a full-time illustrator so if you contact me when I’m booked up, there may be a delay.  I can let you know and get back to you when I’m available.

I do commissions in between my professional illustration work, so no promises on timing generally; if you have a deadline such as for a gift, let me know, and we can work something out.

Will Draw:

Human and humanoid OCs - fantasy, sci-fi, historical, etc

Portraits of real people - ONLY with hi resolution, well-lit reference; commission may be turned down if reference provided is not enough for a good painting.

Won't Draw:

Furries/anthro (just bad at animal heads!)

How To Get One:

Contact me via email (kim at kimsokol dot com) to let me know roughly what you’re looking for, and I’ll let you know if I can take it.  You don’t need to send a long description with reference in initial contact, but at least give me a general sense of what you want. If you DO have easily available reference, such as a screenshot of a game character or prior commissions, I can let you know where it falls on the pricing scale

Once I accept, I'll send you a form to get your character information and make sure we're both clear on terms

Opening Commisions

Hey guys! My commissions are open!

These are the prices:

Sketch:

Bust: 10€

Half body: 15€

Full body: 20€

Lineart:

Bust: 15€

Half body: 25€

Full body: 35€

Colours:

Bust: 20€

Half body: 30€

Full body: 40€

Backgrounds: I will only do simple ones and I won’t price them.

Extra character: I will price them with half of the original price. So, for example, if with only one character the price is 30, with an extra one it will be 45, for two extra it will be 60 etc.

Will draw:

Any fictional (humanoid) character, OCs, personas, mild NSFW, ships.

Will not draw:

Mecha, heavy NSFW, heavy gore. (mostly because I'm not good drawing them, and want to give you drawings that are actually good, it's literally a skill issue)
