Happy Birthday Percy James Patrick, AKA Scottish actor, Sylvester McCoy who was born 20th August 1943, in Dunoon.

His father was killed in the Second World War a couple of months before he was born, and he was brought up by his mother, his grandmother and aunts.

He attended St. Mun’s, primary School in the town and as Percy Smith he trained as a priest, joining Blair’s College, a seminary in Aberdeen, for boys between the ages of twelve and sixteen he then gave it up and applied to become a Monk! This was rejected, as he was too young, so Percy returned to Dunoon and finished his education at Dunoon Grammar School.

On leaving school he took a holiday to the bright lights of London and ended up staying, taking a number of jobs, he sold insurance, acted as a bodyguard for the Rolling Stones, then gained a job selling tickets and keeping the books in a theatre box office. Eventually, he joined the Ken Campbell Roadshow. Along with Bob Hoskins, Jane Wood, and Dave Hill, McCoy started performing a range of sketches with the umbrella theme of “modern myths.”

McCoy found himself for a while in a double-act with Hoskins before Hoskins left to pursue his film career. When working with Ken Campbell in an improvised a circus-based act about a fictitious stuntman called Sylvester McCoy he thought it would be amusing if the program stated that this character was played by “Sylvester McCoy”. While at the Royal Court Theatre, one of the critics missed the joke and assumed that Sylvester McCoy was a real person. McCoy liked the irony of this and adopted the name of his stage identity

His big break came when McCoy was starring at the National Theatre in “The Pied Piper”, a musical play written especially for him, when he learned that the BBC was looking for a new lead actor to replace Colin Baker in “Doctor Who”. He later won the role as the seventh Doctor and the first Scottish one!

Following “Doctor Who,” McCoy continues to work extensively in theatre, films, radio, opera, and on television.He sees himself as an all round entertainer, his talents include,playing the xylophone and the spoons. He can also juggle and once gained a reputation for stuffing live ferrets down his trousers.

McCoy was considered for the role of Bilbo Baggins in The Lord of the Rings Trilogy and must have made a lasting impression on the filmmakers as they were later to cast him as Radagast the Brown in The Hobbit films.

Now in his 80's Sylvester has no less than seven projects on the go just now, he was last on our screens this year in Father Brown ,but has also appeared in 10 episodes on a podcast series calle Doctor Who: The Seventh Doctor Adventures.

I love Sylvesters quirky outfits, and absolutely love the first three pics, the first in his hometown Dunoon, then in front of a police box in Glasgow, the third is a wee Sylvester.

This game will accept 16-20 characters aged 16 or older and sort them into bands, or “units,” of 4-5 people, while simultaneously mixing in the MKG elements! The characters in this game can be from anywhere in the world, and be a college student or someone elderly. All they need is some connection to the love of music! Let's make some noise, Copacabana!

It's that time of year again, Famers! With 21 incredible performances, Hollywood Fame's Annual Music Festival will be coming to you live from notably one of the most famous beaches in the world... Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil!

This is a ONE day MANDATORY event for all members! By mandatory, we simply mean that every celeb must be in attendance (hiatus or not). While not everyone is performing or presenting, you must have your celeb be there enjoying the festival. With a red carpet and photo-op entry, celebrities will be escorted through arena gates and into the secure, fun-filled lines for food vendors, drinks (alcoholic and non), dancing, private lounge areas, shopping vendors, photo booths, and concession snacks where all the both sweet and salty goodies can be found!

All performers MUST tag the main in the setlist so that we may mark off your performance. Presenters - please tag the MAIN and who you are presenting in your post, so they don’t miss it!

Please note that introduction and performance posts do NOT have to be posted in the order of the list. Time zones make it difficult for this, so please know we do not expect that. We do ask that you post your presentation and performance setlist the day of the event until 11:59PM on AUGUST 24TH; otherwise we will have to issue a strike for not posting since this is a sign up event.

PRESENTERS: Please make your introductory post about the person you are presenting so that the crowd knows who they are! Be exciting and really hype up the next performance so that not only the crowd feels the energy but also so the performer can feel the love. If you’re presenting someone that has two performers in it - please specify that in your speech and acknowledge both artists. You guys don’t have to make your intro post at a specific time on the day of the event -  we understand how impractical and hard that may be with time zones. But please TAG the celeb you’re introducing in it with their account as well as THE MAIN in your introduction as we want to be sure that no one is missed when we mark it off. Does your celeb have stage fright? Will they mess up during their speech? Are they confident and have done this a million times in their career? Only time will tell! PERFORMERS: Please make a set list of what your celeb will be singing, djing or dancing to on the day of the festival. Every celebrity has a 30-MINUTE SET, so make your setlist accordingly. Please do not exceed the 30 minute slot! If your celebrity doesn’t have enough released music to fill a 30 minute time slot, no worries!  You can have them do covers of songs your celeb might sing in concert in real life. If you’d like, you can be descriptive of the lights and cool effects and shenanigans that might go down during your setlist (ex: your celeb jumping into the crowd at the end). The creative freedom is up to you. Make it their own! Please be sure to TAG THE MAIN in your set list as well. In prior years, muns have included links to YouTube performances, some people have invited fans up onstage, some have even made videos of the performances. The choice is yours! Will there be an unexpected crowd interruption? Will the sound go out and the crowd has to sing along? Will your celeb forget the lyrics? On August 23rd, there will be an OPTIONAL rehearsal and soundcheck for the performers should you want your FC to practice or attend. Presenters also may attend, should they want to rehearse their introduction, but it is not mandatory. A question for the mun; May I ask what are your favorite trolls in the ftc as a whole?

Oh geez, I feel like this is always changing for me because I keep getting to know amazing new people and amazing new characters. I think I'll just name a few blogs and list my favorites from there, as I don't think I can pick out of the entire community when it's full of people I also don't know or haven't interacted with (yet!).

Quite a few of them belong to my partner @mageofspacemultiverse as I've known those the longest and have quite a few ships between us. A few of my favorite characters from him are Zomson, Hidelord, Devaron, and Pixcel. Each character of his is unique and has interesting backstories and personality, and yet every one of them is so on-brand for his blog.

From @thestarlightbrigade I have always adored Deltra and MY LIL MAN HIBUKI. Special shout out to Iiboye too. Lots of edgy angsty characters but each one is a specific flavor that never gets tiring. Avery's vibe is I'm shaking him by the shoulders and biting him affectionately. That is to say, he's a fun guy and silly to talk to. Prepare to get cat-gif'd.

@stuckstucktrolls I thirsted after Viktor since day 1 bruh. He's the Troll I am most familiar with besides Teagan. Creative characters and also very pretty, the lot of them. Cool cat boy cryptid gets the seal of approval from royal moth cryptid.

@goddesstrolls Kairos and Kairne. Ik Kairne isn't on the blog anymore but I thought he was pretty damn neat tbh. One of the first characters I knew Bast by. Also um... my (ex)wife Akidis, I love her to bits and pieces, and my male-wife Darvai. Buff women and bastard men run this blog, and all the world build and narratives Bast has come up with over the years are SO -chefs kiss- .

@miks-fantrolls Antemh <3 Sticking him under a microscope fr. I don't know a lot about anyone else, but maybe that'll change sometime. I don't know a lot about Mik but I personally think he's cool af. Mik if you're reading this I'm staring at you with wet pathetic eyes and offering you an egg in these trying times.

@roetrolls Veylin <3 She makes my heart happy. Also Franky, I would give him the world. Mallum is up there, too. Roe makes a lot of characters that are compelling, friend-shaped, and possesses you with the Funny Horrors (aka I can't stop laughing every time I see 'Dominion' on a street sign or pub. Like, it's the kind of joy that's like 'I know that guy! That guy belongs to this really cool person that I look up to! How silly that he has a bar named after him!' )

@sasster ...................... Redivi.................. Look, one could argue and say it's because he's a vampire and I'm absolutely a vampire simp 100%. But. But he's *terrifying* and that's a big reason why he's a favorite Chase Troll of mine. Compelling, scary, but recognizable as people we may know in our every day lives. An ever so loved face and name, but there's always something behind the scenes that we can't see. There's a performance for the world, while on back stage the true colors show. Mind you, I am extremely behind in the lore of the blog, but that guy? Man. That guy.

@windy-trickster -slaps the top of this guy's blog- This blog can fit so many funky lil dudes filled with unique lore and fantastic personalities and oh my god the angst. My favorites among them are Doleos, Rastho, and Althor. Windy is a creative writer and puts SO much love into his characters. Like for real, it's always a pleasure listening to him talk about them. It's clear he puts in a lot of love and effort into his guys, and I think y'all should go and see that for yourself.

@askthehiddencaste Shuska and Ashoal. I feel like Shuska is the face of the blog (i mean, the entire theme is a library, so), and she's such a charming character. Warm, friendly, but she's STRONG in spirit. Ashoal and Shuska are the two I'm most familiar with aside from Heliel (I want that goopy man carnally). Kanny has a lot of fascinating characters that all feel like a natural family to me. I could hang out with their characters and feel right at home.

@experimental-failures The only one I'm familiar with is Nix, so I guess he's my favorite by proxy-- BUT! I've always thought Nix was very neat. He feels like a guy I can run into out on the street irl. He feels so real to me, and it's always a pleasure.

@the-rainbow-overflow Elnric and Viroxa. Two very interesting characters for vastly different reasons, lol! I love the alternate timeline stuff Elnric has going on, and I feel soft for this guy mostly because it's the first Troll I knew Dusk by. Viroxa is... oh boy, god damn, a bastard? Such a manipulative and cunning guy where the ends justify the means, and I am OBSESSED. Bonus points that he's a scientist guy, ya know? We all love unhinged scientists. Kissing him on the cheek even if he may take my lips as donation and sew it onto someone else. Special mention to Makona as well, I am unwell about HISStory of Violence <3

@trollbreak Um, Bladed, teehee -twirls hair- Jonah has SOOO many lil guys. Silly lil guys! Some of these silly lil guys commit murder and treason! Some of them will give you plushies and Autism Creature stare at you as a means of friendship. Heehoo is my ultimate favorite, and Bladed is close second, but I adore Jonah and all of their characters.

@clown-fuckers-r-us Montague!!!! MONTAGUE!!!! MY BELOVED!!! CRYING WEEPING AAAAAAAA-- ahem. So um Montague is my favorite, he's so cool? I'm so invested in his story and not just because I have a ship going with that guy but his concept is so intresting??? A Purple with anger issues, rich and privileged but kind and loving-- now ruined by a broken mind and psyche, his one scrap of salvation that keeps him from fully losing himself being the memory of a lover that he hasn't seen since before the war on Limebloods... You should definitely go share some love with Bun, the mun of the blog; she's an AMAZING person, truly a wonderful friend, and one of the most nicest people I know.

@moonlit-trolls Tythus by far. It's been SO neat seeing Tythus grow and develop as a character. Moona and I made Ptillo and Tythus together, and while Tythus had some shaky beginnings as Moona was figuring him out, it definitely solidified and paid off in the end. Tythus is a compelling villain imo with complex goals and ambitions. Not to mention what a SILVER FOX HE IS GOD DAMN. You go girl, make that man hot and pathetic <3

I'm running out of steam for this post; if you're not listed on here it doesn't mean I don't have favorites or that I don't like you. There's A LOT of trolls to keep track of in the community and a lot of members too. Everyone has such amazing characters that I cannot possibly list them all off. Keep doing what you're doing, and remember that even if it feels a little pointless at times or that nobody cares, there ARE people who enjoy the content you put out-- whether its art, writing, silly little tidbits, or whatever else! There's people out there who will think about you over the smallest of things and smile, people who will think about you and your characters and feel inspired, people who may be too shy to interact but love and appreciate you and what you do. Whether you're a big or small blog or something in between, thank you for being part of the FTC.

Mun is the Náian God of Decay and Rot.

Created as a companion for the greater fae god Ort, Mun is often spotted by the ominous glow of Ort’s lamp that hangs from his horn. Náian tales warn of approaching Mun or any light in the woods, warning of being swept away to Nurí, the land of the Fae, on Mun’s decrepit back.

Despite his genuinely awful look (and smell), Mun is not a aggressive beast. As the god of rot and decay, Mun represents a inevitable stage of all life - returning back to the soil, to give life to something new. While Mun does truly have a formal cult or religion, followers or those who wish to pay their respect (out of fear or otherwise) are known to set up small shrines in the woods or leave offerings and the likes on the deceased and the decaying (plant and animal). 

Mun will generally leave others alone, usually simply passing through and stretch woodland. When not accompanied by its master, they wander rather aimlessly, traveling the world with no direction and no particular goal or purpose. However, the Náian tales do not exist for no reason - when Mun has his rider, he is a sign of danger.

Mun will listen to Ort, often through a wordless link, without question and without fail. Its usual lazy amble and careless motions turn into a predator’s grace, and the jawbones that usually seem to just be matted loosely in its fur become readily capable of grabbing and tearing. Mun has carried many foolish or unsuspecting mortals to their deaths at his master’s orders, and he is rightfully a being to be weary of.

Besides Ort, Mun is known to allow Bróbh Boíg, the wood elf bard god, to ride on his back.

“are you guys eating well?”, han seokjin asks somewhere to the right of the camera pointing at the trainees. “who’s doing all the cooking? is it this guy?”, he points to LUCIEL. “if he takes care of the food as well as he does the coffee machine, you guys are eating like kings, huh?” it’s weird to see the dance coach that gave them all a hard time trying to crack a joke suddenly. seokjin has been to the apartment a few times during the last few weeks, though this is the first time he has all project members sit together.

“to start off, i want to congratulate you all for finishing the first mission successfully!” he claps for the trainees, and encourages them to celebrate the moment as well. “you have taken your first step in this journey, and you did so together. and with this, PROJECT GREEN officially starts!” the last word is spoken in english, and it comes with a sheepish grin. it’s clear that the manager is doing his best to amp it up for the camera.

“i am here to report on the second mission.” he pulls up a card with the lime entertainment logo on it, and reads from it. “PROJECT GREEN second mission, go! as we look to the future, it’s important to always remember where you started. your roots are what define how strong you’ll grow, and it’s time we set a good foundation for our members!”

seokjin then explains that, in order for the second mission to be a success, project members must prepare two cover performances of senior artists in lime entertainment, to be presented in front of the project manager along with other staff members on saturday, september 28, in the main lime entertainment training facility. members must decide on what two songs they’ll cover, work on the line distribution and any changes or remixes they would like to do if at all, and coordinate with staff members to design the outfits and the stage for the performance. these two songs will ideally cover a wide range of skills that the members can show their audience! 

project members will lay their roots and build up on their skills using these performances as a starting point. “in the future, we will look back on this moment fondly, and we will be able to show the world how much we’ve grown since.” seokjin finishes the instructions with a loud fighting!

“oh, and one more thing”, he starts putting things away as dinner is served, as a reward for finishing the first mission. “starting this month, we will have two co-leaders to help manage the group while i’m not around. and these leaders will be… two of you! each month, a new pair will be selected. for now, let’s go with…” seokjin looks around the room deep in though, and then points to each chosen leader. “SIWOO and SEOJUN!

as stated in the post, muns will have free reign to choose mostly everything about the performances, though of course the events admods are available at all times should muns need any help getting the performance together. 

there is no need to write additional solos on each performance. the writing requirements stay the same as in the last mission:

on writing requirements: at this time, muns may use up to 2 replies regarding project green for regular monthly trainee threads since muses will still be attending regular training schedules at lime entertainment. we do ask that some of your replies this month be about general training and not solely about project green both as a way to further your muse’s skills and so non-project muses have writing partners available. project members are welcome to participate in company workshops as well at this time.

SIWOO and SEOJUN were selected as the first co-leaders of project green! they are meant to help resolve conflicts in the group, be decision makers and help with engagement and compliance, as well as make sure that all chores around the dorm are being taken care of. project manager seokjin is still in charge of the group, and both siwoo and seojun will report to him throughout the month.

! attention: members, over the course of this month you may receive a submission in your inbox! this will be from your project manager asking you a question, and it is meant to get the spontaneous reaction of the trainee on camera. the questions will be related to their life in the dorms, their new training routine, and their expectations for the project, as well as other personal questions to help build up their profile. muns do NOT need to answer this with an in-character solo, if they don’t want to - a simple ooc post with some bullet points will suffice!

If she were to talk about every aspect of her life... obviously, she's still very much struggling with coming to terms with the fact that a) she is immortal and b) can never die, even if she ever wanted to. Which, on paper, might sound great to some... and while Serena does see some benefit to it, she is also painfully aware of the fact that she is trapped on this earth, in this mortal plane, trapped with less than a handful of others (canonically: AZ, Floette, very likely Cogita and possibly Lysandre if he's still alive under the rubble and Volo. Even including the last three, that's NOT a lot of people at all), forever. She can't escape her own existence, and she will be conscious for every moment of it. Even when everyone else has passed on. She knows this, she sees it every time she looks at AZ and every time she hears him talk.

On a lesser scale, she does have a lot of regrets surrounding the events of Geosenge Town. And while she never regrets taking up the role of a hero, there is so much she wishes could have differently. She will never be happy with herself over how many people died, were injured or otherwise impacted on that day. }

+10 FOREIGN LANGUAGE | -7 ANY PERFORMANCE SKILL as the eyes of the world fall on the korean entertainment industry, the need to communicate in a different language becomes more prevalent each day. in order to jumpstart your journey in learning a new language, axis is inviting you to join the foreign language workshops this quarter! trainees can sign up for one of the following month-long intensive classes, that will cover the basics of grammar and sentence structures: english, mandarin or japanese. if there is a particular language you are really keen on learning and it’s not listed here, feel free to make your case with a coach and your request might just be granted! naturally, sitting in a room repeating after a teacher for hours might even make you forget a little about what it’s like to perform in our own language. [ muns may submit an in-character piece to their company blog about their muses asking to be taught a different language. if granted, it is understood that axis will provide a special instructor for that language to go along the other workshops as well. ]

trainees can select up to two workshops to participate in during this period; one per month. those who choose to opt in for one or more workshops will participate in them during their free training periods. as no additional training time is being asked of your muse, no additional writing requirements will be added either.

Happy Birthday Percy James Patrick, AKA Scottish actor, Sylvester McCoy who was born 20th August 1943, in Dunoon.

His father was killed in the Second World War a couple of months before he was born, and he was brought up by his mother, his grandmother and aunts.

He attended St. Mun’s, primary School in the town and as Percy Smith he trained as a priest, joining Blair's College, a seminary in Aberdeen, for boys between the ages of twelve and sixteen he then gave it up and applied to become a Monk! This was rejected, as he was too young, so Percy returned to Dunoon and finished his education at Dunoon Grammar School.

On leaving school he took a holiday to the bright lights of London and ended up staying, taking a number of jobs, he sold insurance, acted as a bodyguard for the Rolling Stones, then gained a job selling tickets and keeping the books in a theatre box office. Eventually, he joined the Ken Campbell Roadshow. Along with Bob Hoskins, Jane Wood, and Dave Hill, McCoy started performing a range of sketches with the umbrella theme of “modern myths.”

McCoy found himself for a while in a double-act with Hoskins before Hoskins left to pursue his film career. When working with Ken Campbell in an improvised a circus-based act about a fictitious stuntman called Sylvester McCoy he thought it would be amusing if the program stated that this character was played by "Sylvester McCoy". While at the Royal Court Theatre, one of the critics missed the joke and assumed that Sylvester McCoy was a real person. McCoy liked the irony of this and adopted the name of his stage identity.

His big break came when McCoy was starring at the National Theatre in “The Pied Piper”, a musical play written especially for him, when he learned that the BBC was looking for a new lead actor to replace Colin Baker in “Doctor Who”. He later won the role as the seventh Doctor and the first Scottish one!

Following “Doctor Who,” McCoy continues to work extensively in theatre, films, radio, opera, and on television.He sees himself as an all round entertainer, his talents include,playing the xylophone and the spoons. He can also juggle and once gained a reputation for stuffing live ferrets down his trousers.

McCoy was considered for the role of Bilbo Baggins in The Lord of the Rings Trilogy and must have made a lasting impression on the filmmakers as they were later to cast him as Radagast the Brown in The Hobbit films.

Like many other former Time Lords, Sylvester has televised the role, in 2022 we aw him return in The Power of the Doctor, I assume there is a chance he will crop up in the 60th anniversary specials, although I can't see him being mentioned as yet.

Sylvester is still keeping busy, he is lined up to appear in the BBC drama Father Brown, it will air next year. This year he appeared in the horror film, Necronomicon, it only has two reviews on IMDB, both slating it. The website also notes that he has four more projects in various stages of production.

We are looking for cast members to fill out the roles below. Your character can be well versed in the world of musicals or simply just wanting to try something new. All we ask that you stick within the playing ages of each role. If you would like to take part, simply message us the name of the character and the role they would like to play! PLOT:

Set in the East Village of New York City, Rent is about falling in love, finding your voice and living for today. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Rent has become a pop cultural phenomenon. with songs that rock and a story that resonates with audiences of all ages. Based loosely on Puccini's La Boheme, Jonathan Larson's Rent follows a year in the life of a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in New York's Lower East Side, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS. How these young bohemians negotiate their dreams, loves and conflicts provides the narrative thread to this groundbreaking musical.

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN:

MARK COHEN

Stage age: early to late twenties Vocal Range: Tenor (C#3-G4)

Mark is an aspiring filmmaker who narrates the show as he films the lives of his friends. Mark never leaves home without a camera. He is Roger's best friend and caregiver, and he was once Maureen’s boyfriend (who left him for Joanne). Mark is a little nerdy and quirky. He insists that he can survive the bleakness of his environment through his art. It soon becomes apparent, though, that he is more comfortable viewing the world through his lens than in actively engaging in it. He feels guilty that unlike his friends, he does not have HIV/AIDS. The actor playing this role must be a strong singer and actor. He dances the Tango with Joanne, so good movement skills are also required.

ROGER DAVIS

Stage Age: mid twenties to early thirties Vocal Range: Rock Tenor (B2-A4) Roger is a once successful, now struggling musician who discovered he had HIV/AIDS in a note his girlfriend left him before she took her own life. His main goal in life is to write one great song before he dies, but he has not been able to play his guitar in a year, fearing that he has lost his creative energy. He falls in love with Mimi but is too afraid to commit to her, knowing that she also is infected with HIV/AIDS. He is also the roommate and best friend of Mark. He is often depressed and sullen, but he can be expressive and passionate at times. The actor playing this role must be a good actor and an excellent singer with a rock edge. Guitar skills are desired, but are not required. 

MIMI MARQUEZ

Stage Age: late teens to early twenties Vocal Range: Alto (F#3-E5) Mimi Marquez works in a strip club and struggles with her addiction to heroin, which has resulted in her contraction of HIV/AIDS. She falls in love with Roger, who is unable to commit to a relationship with her. She is also Benny's ex‐girlfriend. She is extremely sexy, optimistic, and likeable but with dark secrets. Though Mimi has” lived a lot of life,” she still sees the world through the eyes of a young woman. She intends to make the most of every day, as she earnestly expresses in the song “No Day but Today.” The actress playing this role must be a strong singer, dancer, and exceptional actress. She must be able to convincingly portray the struggles of heroin addiction, sexual promiscuity, and HIV/AIDS, while still maintaining the optimism of youth.

BENNY COFFIN III

Stage Age: twenties to thirties Vocal Range: Tenor (Eb3-F4) Benny used to be Mark and Roger’s roommate, but he married Alison Grey, a rich family involved with real estate, and he is now their landlord. He had been letting Roger and Mark live in the apartment for free, but he is now forcing them to pay rent or be evicted. Roger and Mark consider him a yuppie sell-out. He also had an affair with Mimi before she started to date Roger. While in the beginning he is caught up in the lifestyle of wealth and affluence, he ultimately realizes his friends are more important than what money can buy. The actor playing this role must be a good singer and actor.

MAUREEN JOHNSON

Stage Age: twenties to thirties Vocal Range: Soprano Belt (C4-F5) Maureen is a bisexual performing artist and Mark's ex‐girlfriend. She left Mark to be with her new girlfriend, Joanne. She is sexy, flirtatious, sassy, and funny. She is bold and speaks her mind, and she is not afraid to take on the establishment and fight for what she believes in. The actress playing this role must be an excellent singer and actress. She must be comfortable with same-sex physical intimacy.

JOANNE JEFFERSON

Stage Age mid twenties to early thirties Vocal Range: Soprano Belt (Bb3-E5) Maureen is a lesbian Ivy League educated lawyer and activist. She struggles to not be jealous ofMaureen’s flirtatious nature with others. Though she was raised in an affluent, political family, she is committed to helping those less fortunate. The actress playing this role must be an excellent singer and a good actress. She must be comfortable with same sex-physical intimacy. Since she dances the tango with Mark, good movement skills are also required.

TOM COLLINS

Stage Age: late twenties to late thirties Vocal Range: Baritone/Tenor (F#2 – A4) One A4 for a short duration Tom Collins is a gay computer genius, teacher, and anarchist who was recently expelled from MIT. In the opening scene he is mugged, reflecting the harsh reality of the world in which the characters live. He is brave enough to allow himself to fall in love with Angel, knowing that since both of them are infected with HIV/AIDS, their relationship will not have much of a future. Tom and Angel’s relationship is the heart of the show, as the genuine love and devotion they have for one another brings hope and inspiration to the entire group. They show the world how to truly live life and not be afraid. The actor playing this role must be an excellent singer and actor who is comfortable with same sex-physical intimacy. He must be able to portray great love and affection for Angel. He must especially be able to convey that love when Angel dies in his arms, and during his reprise of “I Will Cover You.”

ANGEL SCHUNARD

Stage Age: early to late twenties Vocal Range: Tenor with Falsetto (C3-A4) Angel is a young drag queen and street percussionist. He meets and falls in love with Collins. He has HIV/ AIDS and dies of the disease in Act II. As a person, Angel is the most generous and selfless character in the show. Angel hands out money to the neighborhood while dressed in Santa drag. Though he has HIV/AIDS, he embraces life and lives it to its fullest. People are naturally drawn to him, and his smile lights up the room. His death is mourned by all of the characters and eventually inspires them to live each day to the fullest. As mentioned in Tom’s character description, Tom and Angel’s relationship is the heart of the show, as the genuine love and devotion they have for one another brings hope and inspiration to the entire group. They show the world how to truly live life and not be afraid. The actor playing this role must be an excellent actor, singer, and mover. He must be able to comfortable with same-sex physical intimacy and a drag queen persona, including dancing in heels. Percussionist skills desired but not required.

•           Alexi Darling: The producer of Buzzline who tries to employ Mark after his footage of the riot makes primetime. Sings Voicemail #3 and Voicemail #4.

•           Mr. and Mrs. Jefferson: The wealthy parents of Joanne Jefferson, they leave her Voicemail #2. Mr. Jefferson is also one of the a cappella singers in Voicemail #5. Mrs. Jefferson usually sings the female solo in Seasons of Love.

•           Mrs. Davis: Roger's confused mother who calls in Voicemail #5, asking continuously, "Roger, where are you?"

•           Mrs. Marquez: Mimi's Spanish‐speaking mother who sings in Voicemail #5, wondering, in Spanish, where she is.

•           Mr. Grey: Benny's father-in‐law who wants to buy out the lot.

•           The Man: The local drug dealer whom Mimi buys from and Roger used to buy from.

•           Life Support Group: Paul (The man in charge of the Life Support group), Gordon, Steve, Ali, Pam, Sue As notated in the script by Larson, the roles of all of the Life Support members are encouraged to take on the name that someone in the cast (or production) knows or has known to have succumbed to AIDS or other disease. 

•           Squeegee Man: A homeless person who chants "Honest living!" over and over.

•           Homeless Woman: She gets harassed by police and Mark films it. She first yells at Mark but then asks him for a dollar. 

•           Waiter: Waits on the cast and has solo lines in La Vie Boehme. There are also many other non‐named roles such as the Preacher, Seasons of Love soloists, Cops, Bohemians, Vendors, Homeless People. We are looking for a very diverse cast of all ages, ethnicities, shapes, and sizes.
