Big fan of how much suspense and wonder and dread that part of story still gives me if i start thinking about it for more than 5 seconds. Didn't have the will to do it but... imagine mordremoth with bug eyes ok? Multitude of reflection of the commander in that one eye, it sees you and you cant' escape. Eye motif, my beloved..

Vines guide the eye of the viewer, constricting, clutching in a snare and...well... we know even the commander failed to resist for a few moments. I'm not that great at comics but i wanted to show at least this one <3

While Cosima's busy with kryptis crap she asks Aoife to send people to investigate the Bastions, the Tower, and the fractals of Skywatch. Aoife and some of her sisters investigate a particular Bastion and its secrets. (Also can show off all the capes. yay)

10. What are their hobbies and pastimes? Do they have any natural talent or particularly strong interest? Was it something they knew from the Dream or did they develop it once awakened?

honestly.. meditation. she’s so tired all the time and there’s always someone who wants something out of her so any time she gets to herself she truly just wants to spend Chilling The Fuck Out. ealasaid has a lot of interests which caoimhe will happily participate in when invited to and that’s more than enough for her. she does genuinely have an appreciation for classical music however and would like to learn an instrument some day— maybe violin. she heard it the first time she went to divinity’s reach and likes to see the royal orchestra there.

13. How do they feel about death? Does it make them curious or scared? Do they wish to understand it or do they simply accept it?

scared. really scared. she’s come close to it many times, and is never wholly comfortable with inflicting it on others. she’s far more afraid of the deaths of those she loves than her own— if she lost ealasaid in particular, she probably wouldn’t be able to keep going. she can feel her joints getting a bit stiffer as the years go on and really doesn’t like the idea of aging, especially since nobody’s really sure what that means for a sylvari!

15. What are their feelings on their race being minions of the Jungle Dragon? What's their attitude towards those who turned? How do they feel about the shift in perception of their people from other races?

disgust, mostly, but more internally directed than an anger at mordremoth. she already went through a lot in life escaping abuse and reclaiming ownership over her body… that similar insistence of being owned by someone else horrified her. she struggled severely and very nearly gave in herself, and feels nothing but grief and empathy towards those who turned. it wasn’t their fault. she and ealasaid were both subject to mutinies by untrusting soldiers and saw less fortunate sylvari wind up dead by their own allies… it’s not something she’ll ever forget. she feels very strongly about it and was a vocal advocate for mordrem forgiveness following the end of the war in maguuma. by that point she had already become markedly unpopular in the public eye and such advocacy certainly didn’t help :(! it wasn’t until years later when the free awakened argued a similar cause that public opinion of her softened, and people became more understanding in retrospect

Caoimhe's later adventures in "New" Tyria she finds out that her Commander is here. The one that went missing in Elon Riverlands fighting Balthazar.

See, when Cosima went missing, Dragon's Watch had to figure out what to do without the Commander. They still had the idea to steal Joko's army and got away with it, but the fight with Balthazar in Vabbi left casualties and fatalities. Aurene didn't have her Champion and while she gave it her all, at the end of the fight she flew off and wasn't seen again. Kralkatorrik rampaged over Elona and beyond, and devoured the magic of Tyria. Nowhere was safe.

Back in the "main" Tyria, Caoimhe had made contact with Aoife, not realising she was a completely different person and Aoife urged her not to get involved. Caoimhe knew too much about a potential future. When Cosima came on the scene though, things changed a bit. Kensi (human rev) got a bit involved in the Caoimhe+Cosima situation. Fun times.
