i’ve been shipping taehyung and jennie since 2017. initially, i just think they look good together. or it’s because i’m also a delulu. having my two biases get together and actually date was like any other fantasy as a fan. i’ve made low quality manips, which thankfully never surfaced anywhere on the internet. i’ve edited videos pretending taehyung and jennie are on a video call, talking to each other only for years to come and their facetime calls were leaked.

i don’t support whoever leaked the images or the relationship, it was an invasion of privacy and idols deserves better than this. it was unfortunate that we had to find out through a suspicious person, a relationship that was supposed to be hidden and private. if only idols get to have a normal life and live freely without getting dragged, especially whenever they date someone.

taennie proves how people can be downright in denial too when the crystal clear truth is already in front of them. taennie along with many idols who are exposed to dating only proves that this industry still won’t tolerate dating scandals despite having global fans and a much more modern interaction.

i still can’t believe taennie is real right now. as a fan since then, this felt like another universe to me.
