[Things are going well?] They’re going, yeah. We’re just, like, loving the journey together. I showed him E.T. to prep for it- He cried like a baby. But he’s- he’s made for this work. He’s solid.

Agents of SHIELD Finale: DaisySous Analysis (SPOILERS AHEAD!)
Tumblr media
The kiss, though I already knew about it, still blows me away.
As he ducks into it you can see the raw emotion on his face. It’s a kiss that just oozes “Do what you need to do, but come home. Come home to me.”
And the way Daisy says “I’ll see you when I get back” a second time to reassure him.
Sousa was about to storm the ship to go save Daisy. I have no doubts that he would have risked everything to get her back.
When Daisy comes back from the Chronicoms’ ship, and they glance at each other to reassure the other that they’re okay. Ugh, they’re perfect.
DAISY’S HUG WITH COULSON AND MAY. DON’T TOUCH ME-
SOUSA WAS SO READY TO STAY BEHIND TO SAVE THE TEAM. TO SAVE DAISY.
The way he just softly grasps her hands.
FUCK, THE GENTLENESS IN THE WAY HE CRADLES HER HANDS PHYSICALLY HURTS ME.
I kid you not, I was YELLING at the screen telling Sousa not to leave her.
Deke is the hero we need, but not the hero we deserve. All he wants is Daisy happy, even at his own expense. Thank you, Deke Shaw, for giving her another chance at happiness.
“Don’t worry too much about Mack.” “Don’t worry too much about Daisy.”
“They’re your everything. Stars in your skies.”
DAISY IS THE BADDEST BITCH FOR BLOWING UP THE ENTIRE FLEET OF SHIPS. WE LOVE A POWERHOUSE.
When the Zephyr picked Daisy up from space, all I could think about was how it must have reminded Coulson and May of when she was shot. Both of them too helpless to do anything to save her.
Can’t believe I’m saying this, but thank fuck Kora was there. I was .347382920 seconds away from sobbing my eyes out.
“This is what we were fighting for.”
1 YEAR LATER?? WHAT HAPPENED BETWEEN THEN??? I NEED INFO-
“We did get a very nice letter from Agent Sousa. So cute he writes letters.” “I know, right? I just got him a typewriter. Speaking of a kid on Christmas.”
“We’re loving the journey together.”
The little glance May sends Coulson when she hears that Daisy’s doing okay. She’s so proud of Daisy for finally finding someone who cares and cherishes her.
“I showed him E.T. to prep for it. He cried like a baby.”
LMAO, SOMEONE MAKE A FANFIC OF SOUSA AND DAISY JUST CATCHING UP ON MOVIES, BOOKS AND TV.
“But he does keep calling us the “Astro Ambassadors,” so that’s—yeah. He’s a dork.”
Ugh, Daisy and Coulson’s little chat at the end has me tearing up. You just know she has so much to say, but she holds it in. I’ll miss their father-daughter interactions so much. SHIELD really is her family, and I’m glad she chose a path that lets her keep her ties to it, but also allows her to branch off and grow.
At the end when Daisy, Sousa and Kora are all looking out into space, and Daisy leans into him, content. I’m so happy for her. She deserves this.
Coulson ending with Lola was a perfect nod to the beginning of the show. So much has changed, but some things will always remain constant. A brave new world, and a really old car.
Thank you so much for such an amazing ride, Agents of SHIELD. You’ve truly changed my life for the better. 🍋

It was nothing, but, you’re welcome… Quake. Sorry, what now? Nothing, just happy to help, Quake. Whatever you need.

I admit at first I thought daisy with Sousa would feel rushed but since it's all ending screw my brain I'm down with the ship
Yay!! Welcome to the club, Anon! <3
I agree that it seemed like a very difficult task to introduce Daisy to a new character and have a believable relationship, nonetheless have a satisfying, romantic relationship with said character. The writers did a great job making the relationship between Daisy and Sousa feel organic and natural.
However, I don’t blame other people for not being totally on board, as it usually feels quite jarring when writers try to squeeze a relationship in at the end of a show. Relationships are a tricky thing, and it can be incredibly difficult to get people on board—especially in the limited time this season has.
These two really hit me like a freight train, and it’s probably the fastest I’ve ever jumped ship.
I’m so glad you joined us, though, it’s always a pleasure to have new people to interact with!
Thanks for the ask! :)

I'm SO anxious about daisy's ending I love her SO much, I need to her to get a happy ending in all aspects of her life, daisysous needs to be endgame, people are speculating she's going to run afterlife, but for me I don't see her ever wanting to stop being a superhero? IDK, I read somewhere that some aspect of her ending might be polarizing and I'm worried, she's one of my most beloved characters and I'll be forever bitter if she doesn't get the ending she deserves so so much, what do you think?
Ugh, I feel you there, Anon.
Daisy means the absolute world to me, and she’s been such an inspiration to us all. Her happiness has been shot these last few seasons, and she deserves some joy in the end.
I’m not sure what she’ll end up doing (if she survives, which hopefully she will). SHIELD having been her entire life these last several years, I can’t see her just sitting by when there are other inhumans and dangerous people running about. However, at the same time, SHIELD has taken so much from her that I wouldn’t be shocked if she chose another path.
My only uncertainty regarding the latter idea comes from her expression of not wanting to leave the team. She was so distraught at the idea of the team splitting, and I can’t see her willingly walking away from the people she loves, so something revolutionary is going to have to occur next episode in order for that to happen. The only people Daisy knows are her team members, so her walking away with no good reason is a head-scratcher.
But yes, I will be a very bitter human if she doesn’t have a happy—or at least a satisfying—ending. Chloe stated in an interview somewhere that she found Daisy’s ending satisfying, but she could just be saying that. It’s so hard to tell, ugh.
It’s especially hard because Daisy’s motivations have differed a lot over the seasons, so it’s hard to make a concrete inference.
In seasons 4 and 5 she had such a hard time being Quake that she became resentful of her powers. Her self-sacrificial tendencies and resentment of the title make it hard to see her wanting to be Quake in the long term, but I also find it hard to believe that she’d sit on the bench if shit got real.
She’s a very complex character, so it’s hard to know what she’ll do. I just hope it ends in a way that allows Daisy to live a good life—preferably with a certain Daniel Sousa. ;)
Thanks for the ask!

Ever since that ig live Elizabeth and Chloe did for the season premiere I've been scared and have not been able to stop thinking about the way they reacted when mentioning Daisy's ending. I honestly could not tell if it was a positive or negative reaction because they just acted so weird! But now, NOW I'm having a little spark of hope with seeing the Daisy x Sousa relationship unfold and how they both love it so much. (1/2)

AHH, SO SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG TO ANSWER, ANON!!
Oh my god, I am totally with you. The actors aren’t the most subtle of people—lmao, love them to death—so something big is definitely going to happen. The glances, giggles, and avoidance in their reactions to this season tell me that much. Whether it’s a good sign or not, though, I have no clue.
I’ve just seen the sneak peek for 7x12-13 of them kissing, so I’m both excited and terrified of what that means for the rest of the episode. It could either be a sneak peek of the romance to come, or it could be a death warrant.
Just please don’t let that be their goodbye kiss.
I know there are several others who noticed as well, but the way Enoch phrased his sentence as he spoke of the future worries me. “While your friends will indeed survive, the team will not.” He didn’t say “You and your friends will indeed survive.”
I don’t think the writers would use that phrasing (“Your friends”) on accident, but they could just be trying to scare us or add suspense—and mission well accomplished if so, LMAO. The word choice just has me suspicious.
But I feel like the way they’re building up Dousy can’t just be for shits and giggles. There has to be some form of ending where they go off together. That may just be me in denial, but I refuse to believe otherwise. I can’t see them spending all this time teasing and developing their relationship only to kill one of them. It would just feel like unnecessary bloodshed.
I’ve heard several people cleverly point out that Daisy’s motto of “Wherever she goes, death follows” (hopefully) shouldn’t apply to Daniel since he’s already dead to the rest of the world. I’m hoping that’s the case, but these writers love torturing Daisy, so I’m remaining cautious.
At this point, Daisy has been through so much trauma (in this season alone, it’s enough to cripple a person) that I can’t fathom the writers hurting her more than they have already. There has to be a balance, right???
I just hope for the best. Our girl deserves happiness more than anyone, and Danny-boy is the perfect solution.
Thank you so much for the ask (and patience regarding my slow response), Anon!

Did Daisy die again after kissing Sousa or does she remember that?
Hi, Anon! Thanks for the ask.
Daisy remembers both the conversation and kiss they shared, so I’m excited to see what she does with that information in the future.
Let’s hope for another “first” kiss. ;)

She can’t know who I am. Why not? Because of the timeline.
