Zurich Openair 2022 – A Magnanimous Swiss Music Festival
Five days of exciting electronic and rock music, as well as a fascinating festival site with a wide choice of food and entertainment outlets, will make Zurich OpenAir 2022 a memorable experience for music fans.
Being so close to the airport makes it a great destination for out-of-town tourists, and the proximity to the city centre makes it possible to combine a visit to the festival with a shopping trip to the heart of Zurich.
Official Dates of the Event – 23rd to 27th August 2022
Planning to grab a visa for Switzerland so that you can take part in this wonderful festival? Before you do that, read this brief guide about Zurich Open Air to make your travel plans even more exciting!
What makes Zurich OpenAir 2022 Popular?
Zürich Open Air 2022 is an exciting multi-genre festival in Switzerland that has quickly become one of Switzerland's most renowned music festivals for featuring a wide variety of internationally acclaimed artists from rock, indie, pop, electronic, and hip hop.
Recent editions of the festival in Switzerland's most populous city have featured performances by world-famous artists such as Kendrick Lamar, Billie Eilish, and Swedish House Mafia, to name just a few of the contemporary icons and upstarts who have graced its stages.
With Martin Garrix, Kygo and Kings of Leon joining Arctic Monkeys as headliners for the festival's tenth edition in 2022, the announcement of the festival's first headliners has been made.
The three stages at Zürich Open-air 2022 are carefully organised to avoid significant artist overlap, providing the festival's 50,000 attendees with a chance to hear both established and up-and-coming performers.
There is an impressive array of musical acts to enjoy, as well as performance art, circus acts, and food from all over the world. The calibre of the performers, though, makes it unlikely that you'll be able to tear yourself away from the front of the stage for very long.

When is the Best time to visit in Switzerland?
Imagine this scenario; you want to go to holidays or weekends in Switzerland all over the year. However, you need to know one thing, when is the best time to visit in Switzerland?
Here is a list of the best times to visit Switzerland during the best season of the year
Spring in Switzerland
As this is the real low season in the country, you can probably get good deals on flights and accommodation. There will be no crowds and you will be freer to visit.
The weather in Switzerland in March can still be quite wintry, with peaks around 6 degrees and lots of precipitation. At night, it could easily freeze over.
Due to the cooler temperatures, but longer daylight hours (summer starts on the last Sunday in March), it is actually a great month for skiing. The Alps are still snowy but there are fewer tourists.
Nevertheless, if you visit them just after Easter (which can fall at the end of March in some years), you will find that many cable cars are closed until the start of the hiking season at the end of May. So if you have your heart set on the trails or the panoramic views from the top of the mountains, now is the time.
The Morges Tulip Festival takes place on Lake Geneva throughout the month and if you love cheese as much as I do, you can go to Gruyères on the first Sunday in May for their annual cheese festival.

Chapel Bridge & Water Tower – Its Significance
Switzerland is ranked as the best country in the world for three consecutive years, for its political stability and cultural richness. Not only that it is also awarded as the best national dish, the best national hero, the best political system and the best military installation.
Get your Visa for Switzerland so that you can experience a taste of how it’s like to live in the richest country in the world.
Chapel bridge facts & History:
Chapel Bridge, being one of the best places to visit in Switzerland, has its old age destruction story and the country was not ready for it.
On 18th August 1993, a huge part of Chapel Bridge was caught on fire. The only part that was not affected was a Water Tower and two bridgeheads. It took eight months to rebuild the destroyed parts of the bridge to make it look like the way it used to. On 14th April 1994, the bridge re-opened.
How old is Chapel bridge and what is Chapel Bridge’s purpose?
The Chapel Bridge in Lucerne is 650 years old and it was built to cross the river connecting left and right ends. The purpose of building the Chapel Bridge and Spreuer Bridge was to connect an old town to the new. They played a role of town’s fortifications.
Lucerne chapel bridge paintings:
Apart from being a significant part of building, the bridge after the name of St Peter’s Chapel, the bridge also has hanging paintings which have symbols of triangles which depicts the legends and history of Lucerne, the story of life and death of St Maurice and St Leger. Two-thirds of paintings were destroyed by the fire and only 147 paintings survived.
Significance of Water Tower:
There is a part of the Bridge called Water Tower because it is built on the water. It was used as a prison and it is 30 years older than the Chapel Bridge. This part is not open for the public even though it’s a part of the Chapel Bridge in lake Lucerne.
Why is the chapel bridge important?
