Hello lovelies! Thank you for the tags @jenjentheboscostick @firstprincehornyramblings @suseagull5914 & everyone who's been tagging me the last few weeks while I've been off the grid. Edinburgh Fringe has come to an end, 26 shows later and my cup is full (A list will be post on my main @tailsbeth as many are international acts who tour). Plus Sam Fender live (and Chappell Roan on Wednesday!), I'm tired but happy.

And now I've got time to write which is very handy when @when-henry-met-alex is happening in September; myself & @onthewaytosomewhere can't wait to see all your rom-com inspired fics. My own The Prince & Me AU will definitely start posting that week 🤞🏻 and that's where my (late) snippet is from:

‘Alex sa-’ ‘Have you ever met a royal?’ June interrupts, eyes flashing wide. Henry feels his throat tighten. Everyone groans. ‘June is obsessed with royalty, I should have warned you.’ June flicks Alex's hand that's laid on the table. He curses and tries to slap her hand back. Henry is thankful for the moment to breathe. ‘Knock it off!’ Oscar snaps. Henry notices Leo frowns at Ellen, before topping up his glass of wine. He decides to jump in the silence. ‘I haven't met a royal but I imagine they're very similar to you and I.’ ‘Aw, you'll have a shot with your beloved Bea,’ Nora snorts, June's cheeks turn crimson. Henry almost chokes on his water.

Way too many Sunday sentences so I can share our boys' first real kiss from my wanderlust fic from the chapter I just posted yesterday ICYMI!

Suddenly, instead of there being a decent amount of distance between them, Henry was right there, his arm over the back of the seat (it was a choice- after all, who knew how many people this train saw on a daily basis?). Alex couldn't find it in him to advise Henry against it, though, not when suddenly, his entire world was nothing but blue skies and hair the color of sunshine. There was nothing else on the train but the two of them, as far as Alex was concerned. “And now that you have?” 

“i can't imagine spending my vacation with anyone else,” Alex breathed.

Suddenly, Henry was leaning in, closing the miniscule gap between them so they were sharing breaths. “Have I told you I've been wanting to kiss you again since that first time?”

Alex grinned as he closed the gap. “I couldn't''ve guessed.”

Tasting Henry's lips again felt wonderfully, impossibly like coming home. The way their lips moved together was so familiar, so right, that Alex knew kissing anyone else would never be able to compare to this- Henry's lips on his, gentle and passionate at the same time somehow, the way Henry's fingers threaded through his curls and tugged making him moan in a way that was probably obscene, given that they were on a train with who knew how many other people.

New Picture for my First Prince Flufftober Fics:

“Is that my hoodie you’re wearing?” Alex questions as the dig in, deliberately ignoring the looks the other students are giving them.

Henry hums.  “Well, someone stole mine, so I thought it was only fair.”

Alex laughs.  “It’s just so comfy.”

Henry laughs.  “And here I thought you wanted to be known as prince dickhead rather than a demon.”

Alex waits for him to take a drink before he says, “I know how much you love my dick and my head, so the name is fitting.”

Henry sputters his drink everywhere as he chokes slightly.  “Demon!  You are demon.”

“Yes, but I’m your demon,” Alex counters with a smirk.

I finally get to scream about my fic I'm writing for @redwhiteandroyalwanderlust, Truths We Never Told! 3/6 chapters (probably really 3/5, chapter 6 might just be pictures) are up!

It was only then that he heard humming coming out of the shower, a voice that was decidedly not feminine using the time to practice what musical talent they had. From what Alex could tell, the guy, whoever he was, was pretty good. He would've tried to pinpoint a nationality, but it was so much harder to do that with singing. One thing he did know for sure, though- or at least, he was pretty positive- was that the other person who had managed to get into his villa wasn't there to hurt him. Sure, they could be in the shower during his arrival to lead him astray, catch him off guard, but if that was the case, wouldn't they have greeted Alex when he arrived instead of letting him get comfortable?

He proceeded with caution to the bathroom, and it was only then that he could hear it: the unmistakable sound of running water being turned off.

“Ugh.” The first voice’s owner puts all of the world’s frustration and disgust into this one syllable, and Alex feels it like a blow to his chest. “Would it kill them to button up their shirts?” the same voice adds. Fucking Brits. Alex can bet they are oh, so sophisticated, they sent a boys’ choir that usually performs in churches or something equally ridiculous to show that they are better and more cultured than everyone else. Fun hating conceited assholes. Grey must be their favourite colour. -- OR: Alex didn't think helping out a friend would mean taking part in the biggest song contest in the world.

not even JRR Tolkien, who famously developed the concept of the Secondary World and firmly believed that no trace of the Real World should be evoked in the fictional world, was able to remove potatoes from his literature. this is a man who developed whole languages and mythologies for his literary world, who justified its existence in English as a translation* simply because he was so miffed he couldn't get away with making the story fully alien to the real world. and not even he, in extremis, was so cruel as to deny his characters the heavenly potato. could not even conceive a universe devoid of the potato. such is its impact. everyone please take a moment to say thank you to South Americans for developing and cultivating one of earth's finest vegetables. the potato IS all that. literally world-changing food. bless.
