~A dreamy love~

(yet another dream, where I fell in love with a stranger)

I’ve had many dreams where I felt as if i was falling in love. And apparently I love recreating that feeling in my sleep.

This time, I was in a beautiful house, with a balcony that looked at the small town I was living in.

Everything was so clear and beautiful, no sight of cars or pollution.

I quickly realised, I was in another era, a time in the past where my current worries weren’t a part of it.

Lying comfortably on my couch, I heard a parade outside of my house. I stoop up and quickly went to my balcony to catch a glimpse of it.

The moment I looked outside however, my eyes never noticed the loud parade, or payed attention to the boisterous crowd behind it.

No.

My eyes only lingered upon a stranger.

His hair was a deep red colour, unordinary and eccentric.

His beauty was so unique and otherworldly that had me staring, praying this isn’t just a dream.

He was walking in front of the parade unbothered, looking around as if discovering a new world.

And it hit me.

I blinked hard before I come to the realisation, this man right over there, is not from this time.

He’s time traveling.

His bright hair colour and his looks gave it away.

He was exceptionally beautiful and his clothes were very strange, not matching his surroundings.

I stared at him deeply and I felt like I was falling in love.

This warm feeling when you know the person right in front of you is the one, filled my chest.

I tried to catch his attention by shouting at him, he’s the most beautiful man I’ve ever seen.

He heard me and looked up. He walked over my balcony and locked eyes with me.

His eyes captivating, a strange gray colour. His lips formed a small smirk, as if he knew.

I held my breath, trying not to cry.

I didn’t want the moment to end.

He took a step back to leave and my breath was caught in my throat.

“Wait, please, you’re so beautiful, let me look at you for a second longer.” I begged him, my voice cracking.

I couldn’t contain my feelings, I loved how he looked and how he looked at me.

His smile brightened with my compliment and he stayed a minute longer, letting me take in his beauty.

I became nostalgic very quickly, knowing I won’t only miss him but I won’t be able to see him ever again.

All I wanted was to ran outside and kiss him.

A kiss on the lips and I would gladly let my last breath go right then.

Holding back my tears I told him “I won’t have a way to remember you” and he looked sceptical for a second.

We both knew, we couldn’t disrupt the timeline by interacting.

I held onto the balcony railings, looking down and trying to get closer to him.

But he was way below my balcony, I could never reach him.

I then noticed him chewing a gum.

He pressed his index and middle finger upon his lips before taking the gum out of this mouth.

He looked up and pointed his fingers on my lips.

Oh.

Oh.

Indirect kiss.

I asked him “Are you sure I’m going to catch it?”

He nodded at me reassuringly.

He threw his gum up and I caught it in my hand.

I put it in my mouth, staring at him, chewing his gum slowly.

For some reason, that moment was very intimate, even though it was child’s play.

He took a step back and I knew the time had come for him to leave.

He waved goodbye at me, his smile becoming smaller once he looked at me.

My vision became blurry as tears started running down my cheeks. I was crying, desperately trying to hold onto his gaze. My knees became weak and I lowered myself down.

So beautiful, I thought.

I fell in love and out of it in a mere dream.
