There are three unwritten rules at my job

If you walk away, a customer will come.

If you are trying to do something important, an asshole will come.

These have not and will not change.

I love it when people get pissy about something at my job. Like yes, you a grown woman whom I will ever talk to again, yes I WILL change our sites rules just for you absolutely!

Or even better is when it's a grown man and he tries to intimidate me. Yup you sure are bigger than me, are you taser proof cause I got one on me.

If your gonna go somewhere and INSIST that it be done your way cause it was done that way last time at another site; maybe don't try it with the one person who has been there for a year and a half and is so stuck in their ways they won't change anything for anyone. That's me btw. No we don't give free washes, no we don't do refunds on already completed washes, yes vacuums turn off at 6 and 8, towels are rolled in at 7:40, no customers allowed in the tunnel, no we can't cancel your membership on site you will have to do it online, I don't care if you already tried that, do it again. No we won't fill your bottle up completely, you will likely steal it. We don't spray down cars, haven't for a year now. Yes your card is declining, no it's not our machine. Yes we are shut down right now, why? Cause it's storming.

Hell I've had the CFO come through and try and get me to break the rules and he later commended me cause I was so steadfast that it be properly or not at all.

When someone, literally ANYONE, not just trans people ask me not to call them dude; I simply stop.

It is not my choice whether or not I get to call them anything. it is their existence, my happiness does not take precedent.

Thanks for all of the recent feedback around Community Labels being incorrectly applied to content. In particular, we appreciate the input we’ve received from the LGBTQIA+ community and understand the frustrations from folks who felt that their content was unfairly labeled. When we realized this was happening, we immediately investigated and are taking steps to prevent this from happening again.

The LGBTQIA+ community makes up about a quarter of the Tumblr community. It is important for us to support all Tumblr users, especially those whose safe spaces are under threat in certain parts of the world.

As you know, alongside of the rollout of Community Labels we also expanded the types of content allowed on Tumblr as a way to welcome more creativity, art, and self-expression. Our goals remain the same today. Human error happens and we apologize to anyone who has been impacted by these mistakes.

We are working to better understand what happened and will follow up with more information soon.

I just stare at them and smile cause they judge me before they even find out I literally NEVER interact with physical corpses, I just mainly read studies on them.

They do the exact same thing that everyone else does to them, then pretend they are better than them.

Day 1 of growing up;

Today my tooth literally started falling apart. Small chunks came off. It was my back tooth and it scared the fuck out of me. A little back story, I struggle...with VERY basic things. Showers, brushing my teeth, etc. To the point that I would go MONTHS without brushing my teeth, and over a week without showering. Which is a problem not only cause it's gross but cause I work outside ever day.

Today I said not anymore. I bought a toothbrush (I didn't own one) and downloaded 5 apps to remind me to both shower and brush. It's only 1 step and I know I will struggle but hopefully this is the beginning of something better.

This is gonna sound so shallow but I hate music. And I hate it because it sounds good.

It's designed to keep you listening over and over and over and over and over and over and over and we ALWAYS fall prey to it. It sounds gorgeous and hype and fun but it never means anything. That's just how music evolved, from winding tales that would enrapture you and make you think to...'this is my best friend; she has an ass' or 'she broke up with me in the country side'. Hell even rock has been reduced to sound good music. Indie music, my last bastion, has devolved to woe is me songs.

Music used to be inspirations or things that made you cry until you puked. They told stories and made history come alive; when someone started singing you paid attention. Now every song that comes out is the same song with different chords.

I don't want sound good songs, I want to be drawn into the music and have my world turned upside down when it's done.

I know this is pessimistic as all hell but I miss when music was good.

Had to yell at a little old lady pulling into our drive without an attendant (I had to sprint over from where I was helping another customer)

"oh..I thought that it was automatic.."

"it is! But that doesn't mean without guidance! Your literally sitting next to a sign that says please wait for attendant!"

"I've pulled myself in before!"

"I've been here for half a year and I've never seen you before. I would have remembered you if you had tried this."
