Hello im in your askbox to tell you I am once again thinking about how enamored I am with the chemistry Classic has with Red and Swap. Its just 2 guys who have sorta been through the ringer and already kind of understand this bullshit and their new best friend who has every disease (a migraine at all times), a magic ability only a select few have that lets him traverse the multiverse (who let this guy jump across the known multiverse he shouldn't even he allowed to teleport across the room with his track record), and a propensity towards throwing himself directly into the most dangerous things theyre aware of in this world. Said best friend is new to it all and is throwing himself at murderers. Their new best friend also has all the markings of a chosen one protagonist and none of the self preservation to survive it and they have many complaints they would like to file please.

Anyways hi butter hehe uwu mwah thank u for this fic existing again!!! It scratches an itch few others do that I crave.

I laughed so hard at this. Poor Swap and Fell did not sign up for this.

Error is likely to crash, have a fatal Error occur, something like those, soon...

How would Error react when he returns to normal- like what if he just returns to a very worried Classic- or if he were return while ppl near him were in a fight (maybe Dream and Nm- just a battle playing out nearby)

Error hates being vulnerable, so would he be a little worried at Classic, Swap, or Fell being nearby during an crash?

Or if it was someone he didn’t like nearby?

How would Dream or Nm react if they were to witness one of these crashes?

Is this because of the drabble? XD

Error would act in a few different ways, depending on the circumstances. He would either flee, attack whoever saw him, or completely pretend nothing happened.

Dream would hover between concern and confusion. While he doesn't approve of what Error does, the crashes are visibly uncomfortable. Nightmare would just ignore Error's crashes or try to make them worse.

Can Error reach the Omega Timeline?

There sre usually 2 interpretations of this

1- he cant reach it, somehow it’s hidden from him or he can’t portal there, stuff like that

Or

2- he lets the omega timeline love due to a deal

Does he want to destroy the omega timeline? And does he know it exists?

The Omega Timeline is relatively low on Error's "to destroy" list, because the Omega Timeline isn't really anywhere. It's like the Doodle Sphere or Antivoid- a place between universes that exists where something should not exist.

Error believes that the Omega Timeline and all its denizens will simply 'cease to exist' when he destroys the multiverse, just like the Doodle Sphere or Antivoid. Whether this would actually happen or not, no one knows for sure.

Error always figures that, if worst comes to pass and the Omega timeline somehow survives, he can always destroy it later.

After all, the Omega Timeline is a place where a lot of glitches congregate. It would make dispatching them easy.

Based on what I remember (haven’t read the fic in a while)

No one knows about Dream and Nm being related- right? (other than Classic and a few characters Dream or Nm might have told)

How would Swap, Fell, Error, Sci, or Lust react? (especially Lust considering the recent attack-)

Correct- both Dream and Nightmare keep it quiet that they are technically related.

In general, most characters would be extremely confused. They act nothing alike, seem to hate each other's guts, and they represent completely opposite aspects of existence (positivity and negativity). Many assume that, rather than related, the two come from separate but similar universes.

Hihi that aside, I have another question. I read from you past asks that as an OG, classic has a 'privilege' of shortcutting anywhere regardless the AU's block (swap's and nm's castle). Does that mean classic have a chance to teleport to antivoid and doodle sphere if he wishes to? Or are they too out of bounds? Orrr will it be like the twin's AU case?

I don't know what you mean. :)

Dreamtale is a bit of a special case. Since the Antivoid and Doodle Sphere can be considered places "between" universes, accessing them can be a bit complicated. They both have "ghost links", links that exist but don't serve any functional purpose.

Also, it should be noted that Classic cannot necessarily shortcut 'anywhere.' He can only shortcut to places he has been before (or spin the random roulette wheel), that are connected to the multiverse, and that he has 'permission' to access. His permissions as OG simply override the protections put on some universes, such as in Swap's and Nightmare's cases.

One of my favorite Classic fics I'm reading right now is 10 Skeletons with 1000 Years to Go. It explores the idea of Classic being heck of a lot younger than his alternates and how the relationships between them develop as they try and mend a fractured trust. I definitely recommend it!

But yes- there needs to be a million more Classic fics

How’s the chapter going?

I've had the WORST writer's block for a little over a week, now. I got sick really bad last week, and ever since my brain just goes blank whenever I try to write. I've only been able to write/revise a few hundred words every day.

Here's a small bit of angst I decided to remove from the chapter as an apology (it's Error angst).

Classic's skull snapped back to Error, and his sockets widened. The edges of the bones that made up Error fizzled, blurring and doubling and phasing back into a single entity as Error hunched, his back curving in a near perfect U. A near skull-splitting, high-pitched beeping filled the forest, and Classic's teeth rattled with the force.

Classic was not freaking out. He was not someone who freaked out, but seeing Error twist into himself and lose all sense of anything as his body appeared to struggle to keep itself together.

It's 2 am and I had a sudden thought.

The reason classic's "dream friends" don't remember him is because most of them had meet with a lot of sanses. It's been approximately 500 years? since his last dream au-hopping, no wonder they don't remember him. The memories about him must have blurred together with the knowledge about the other sanses they'd met (esp a few au have a similar sans as classic, in terms of appearance and personality, that is).

Ink is a lost cause with his memory problem, though he does still remember classic even after a few days not meeting him. Error does remember him (at least a bit as shown in Predictable) but haven't connected the dot that his sans was the same as classic. Nightmare got his corruption going on. I have a mixed thought about dream between his memory about classic somehow got eroded in his time as stone or because of him meeting a lot of sanses. How long has it been since he's freed from his stone prison anyway? Reaper knows about the multiverse but we haven't met him yet, same as the pups so I don't have any theory atm.

Sorry for my long rambling I just have to get it out of my brain 😭

So when the barrier was broken, how did starting a war go for Asgore, and when did Undyne go through her (VERY NECESSARY) character development? Actually, how did everything Frisk would normally do be... done? Obviously things can still happen without them, I guess I'm just wondering how much longer that took?

Somehow, I never thought to explore exactly how everyone went through their character development that they went through in the game. Huh.

Since a lot of what happened occurred around Classic's acceptance of Frisk's deletion, I'm going to sum it up.

Classis struggled with recognizing that Frisk was deleted. Many times, he would mention things that Frisk would do in a pacifist playthrough, which started a-many uncomfortable moments for him when he had to hastily backtrack.

Over the year between when Frisk was deleted and the barrier breaking, while it wasn't identical to a pacifist playthrough, many of the characters began to veer toward their post-pacifist personalities (Classic may have poked a few buttons to get this rolling, plus something else was pushing everyone in that direction as well).

For example, Toriel began to leave the Ruins to visit Snowdin. Alphys revealed her experimentation with determination to Asgore and gained the courage to formally ask Undyne out. Undyne's shift was the most long-strung. She vehemently continued her hatred of humans. It was actually Asgore who helped her began to ease her resentment a bit (plus lots of other stuff happened- *drabble idea*).

For Asgore, he never really wanted to start a war- he simply wanted peace. So when the barrier broke, he easily accepted humans' attempts at cooperation.

Lots of other stuff happened during this year, but those are a few of the most major changes.
