low key does the TDP fandom on here know about the Claudia, Aaravos, & Sir Sparklepuff that won best wig in the ECG?

Idk how much overlap there is in the TDP fandom on tumblr specifically & the cosplay community esp the competitive cosplay community, but just a moment to appreciate & as a fandom be proud of them I believe they were team Denmark & they looked GREAT. (Even tho this was like- literally months ago atp lol)

(For non cosplayers the ECG is “extreme cosplay gathering” it’s on if the 3 major international competitions, specifically the one in Paris. The other 2 are the Crown cosplay Championships (CCC) in the US & the World cosplay Summit (WCS) in Japan👍)

Cursed shackles ✨complete✨ the illusion only really works from about 5feet away or further- it’s pretty ugly up close lmao, but it’s MUCH more comfortable than wrapping bandages around my neck😭🙏

I’m making a choker out of powermesh so it’s still comfy bc wrapping bandages on my neck was a sensory nightmare and I embroidered the actual shackle design on it for a “tattoo illusion” moment- but I just washed out the stabilizer so it’s gotta hang like this to dry 😂

Also I KNOW I NEED TO TRIM THE THREADS LEAVE ME ALONE😭

Like I’m literally just a lil guy- but I did have someone post on their story about how they were scared to compete in the same show as me bc they thought I’m so good??? IM JUST A LIL GUY WDYM😭

& in a convention discord someone started talking about “the cosplayer who won BIS at sacwinter25” and how cool & insane they were…..AND THAT WAS MEEEE😭😭😭

And another mutual called me “cosplay Jesus”😭🙏

I do not have very high self esteem and cosplay & sewing is low key the only thing I can consider myself good at, so that kind of thing is SO appreciated 🥹😭

It will never not be hilarious to me that Chuuya is not only originally a pretty minor character who just got REALLY popular- and NOT ONLY was he so OP that he has to be written out of the story for the plot to happen-

But this originally minor supporting character gets an ENTIRE LIGHT NOVEL TO HIMSELF about his backstory and it’s easily 2-3x the length of the other light novels in the series😭🤚

Not to mention Fifteen also being largely about his backstory leading up to Stormbringer (the aforementioned light novel pretty much solely about him) and the plot is ABOUT HIM BEING ARAHABAKI and how he met Dazai & they became a duo💀

Like he has SO MUCH material for a character who was originally meant to be so minor 😂

So yato definitely got to know about her feelings towards him. He definitely knew that their love was mutual. He definitely wanted to reciprocate it so badly but decided to cut ties instead. Decided to never see her again because he couldnt bear putting her through more pain. Because he was SURE that hiyori would continue to prioritize him over herself, because thats just the kind of lover she is.

So I’m fixing up my Xie Lian cosplay for Sac Summer and i actually finally made his belt look at me go🤪 (I made this costume over a year ago & I’ve worn him like 6 times and was just casually missing a piece LMAO) and I put my design degree to use by drawing these lil wraith butterflies and turning them into embroidery files to go on the belt hehe it WAS admittedly scary tho I’ve never done machine embroidery on tuule before to make appliqué, I’ve only been at this for a few months so hopefully I won’t need sm testers next time 😅

& if you look closely esp irl you can tell the belt is the same jaquard tablecloth as his collar, but with an organza curtain layered onto it for color & bc my big thing with this cosplay is keeping the price at around 6 dollars & it’s still there bc the whole thing is made out of literal garbage😂

+I added iridescent powder to his ring (which ironically I got from a Hua Cheng cosplayer lmao) so it’s giving more “magic ghost king husband’s ashes” instead of low key being invisible bc it’s just plain clear resin 😂
