My new dog is a rescue and it's clear she has been through some serious stuff that has caused her a lot of doggy trauma.

I therefore let her sleep on my bed as much as she wants because poor things deserves it.

Then I realised it's the same for humans.

Humans, when put through so much trauma and stress, need rest to recover, too. Rest and sleep is central to recovery so this is your reminder to drink some water, close your eyes and be kind to yourself.

You deserve it.
