4am on the couch

So here am I, laying on the couch at 4am.

Hoping you could find the sleep you lost when I joined you in our bed.

My guilt as a reason and companion for my nocturnal exile.

The living room at night: calm, yet not quiet.

I hope "to sleep, perchance to dream" of a place and time where I'm still yours and you're still mine.
