Sketchin’ Time
Today I used my new pencils and a strongly structured paper to draw this witchy Wonderwoman. Next time I will draw the subject a little bit bigger, so the structure of the paper doesn’t mess with the details. I also watched an amazing Skillshare class about proportions, taught by an incredible artist called Kendyll Hillegas. I kinda feel this helped. Thank God she also teaches a class about shading. Can’t wait to learn more about that.

Walnut Ink on Paper (C) Stephanie Rosicka
Yesterday I was finally able to experiment with my self-made Walnut Ink. Since I couldn’t use a common writing device, I went with bamboo sticks and cotton buds. I figured it’s suitable for shading and coloring but if I want to use it for line art, I firstly need to choose a bigger format (like I did yesterday -- I used A3) and secondly, be okay with a more rough and edgy style. Still, I am in love and plan to frame and hang them in my new apartment. Can’t wait!

How excited are you for Halloween and witchy stuff? Me: 🐍
I really need to work on my cross-hatching skills, but I love the color scheme in this illustration as well as the marble look the figure got by just using a nude palette. When it comes to cross-hatching and shading I tend to be super impatient, which is why I never finish a piece properly. Anyways — October is slowly approaching, and so is Halloween. I can feel it, guys. I can feel it.

Day 2: Today I've learned how to apply a minimalistic color scheme. I will take only 3–4 main colors and apply them. In the following layers I will mix two of the chosen colors and get new colors.
