if i see one more post or thinkpiece about how taylor is wrong for ‘pandering’ to the lgbt+ community and using us for sales i’m going to lose my mcfreakin mind. taylor swift, more than literally any other huge pop act that i can think of right now, has always had a huge conservative/straight fanbase. like to the point where she has historically been almost notorious for it. she doesn’t need the lgbt community for sales.

if anything, by standing up for our rights she is risking losing - or at least alienating - a huge chunk of her lifelong conservative fanbase. we’ve unfortunately learned over the last few years that there are a lot more of them than there are of us in the world right now. taylor really is not gaining as much from this as people seem to think she is. her insta post about the equality act hasn’t even broken 900k likes (which is a rant for another day), and her posts about politics before it didn’t fare much better. she would be so monumentally stupid to be doing this for any reason other than a sincere and genuine passion for these issues. 

and even putting all that aside, you can’t be pandering and using an oppressed group for sales if you’re actually putting your money + time + effort where your mouth is, which is what taylor has been doing relentlessly. she opened pride month by very carefully crafting a heartfelt letter to her senator speaking about these issues and has urged her fans to do the same. her insta and twitter bios still say ‘support the equality act’ even tho she has a new single she’s promoting. she started this era by donating hundreds of thousands of dollars to lgbt charities, and her shoutout to glaad in the yntcd lyrics has increased donations over the last few days alone. 

it’s just so frustrating to be in this bubble where lgbt fans are celebrating and feeling so cherished and seen by our fave and then to have people tell us that we’re being stupid or brainwashed, to be treated like we’re idiots for being happy. if you don’t like taylor then you don’t have to give a tiny rat’s ass about what she’s doing, but please just let us have this lol

Okay so we see the runaway car in the back right and then just past that is a construction zone which I believe to be Taylor working on herself and a warning because just slightly past that is Joe’s Deli (I’ll assume this is where she meets Joe in the timeline of her year 2016) then the phrase “choose your monsters” (maybe a TS7 lyric) then just past that is written REPUTATION, which is where her stopping to think about how this going to make an issue for a relationship with joe, I then assume it’s also about writing and making the REP album. I think this scene is her timeline of that year, summer, etc...and past all that is her dancing in the rain, “finding love amongst all the noise” being free and finally not worrying about her reputation. Why does it make sense that she would end the rep tour with TIWWCHNT?

It didn’t until reading this whole big theory, if TS7 is called Daisy then ending the tour with TIWWCHNT makes sense, only because of the reference with “feeling so Gadsby for that whole year.”

In “Cartier’s in the 20th Century” description, the first name mentioned is Daisy Fellowes.

And we all know the lyric from Don’t Blame Me: “I once was poison ivy but now I’m your daisy.”

Well here are a few interesting coincidences:

Fellowes also wrote “Cats in the Isle of Man” Fun fact.

Anyway what I’m getting at is in the video, Brendon offers DAISIES to Taylor:

When you watch @taylorswift countdown, after the glitter a TS appears and today it’s clearer than yesterday’s, the screenshot isn’t great but it almost looks like TS with a 6 below it and a two as in squared. So the theory about it being before reputation I think is accurate however I feel like the songs won’t be so much from that because she was dating then breaking up with calcium and then Tom. Maybe we’ll get the story of how her and Joe met. Maybe it’s a greatest hits album but accustic with some new songs. Who knows what we’ll get, it’ll be good and fun. So Abigail is riding around California with videos and pictures of palm trees, and I just know she’s jamming to TS7 probably there for a secret session.
