<BREAK> • What goes up must come down, and down, and down. Unfortunately I’m giving up my photography hobby simply because work and life is just piling up on top of me. I cannot find the time anymore to get out in the hills and do what I love most. Quick rushed trips to a random hill isn’t cutting it for me and the passion has faded. Maybe I’ll revisit it one day, who knows, but for now I’m done. My amazing Sony A7riii is now in the hands of @mpbcom along with my holy trinity of lenses and my DJI Mavic Pro 2 which I worked so very hard to buy, but I can’t see the logic in owning all this professional equipment if I’m not essentially a professional. My prints, if anyone is actually interested, will be available up until December then I’ll pull the plug on it all including the book publishing. I want to thank everyone who has supported me for the past few years, you’ve been great. Those who have purchased prints I am eternally grateful and I really hope you hang them up somewhere with pride. There’s a certain fondness that comes with the solitude of exploring by one’s self. Moments of peace when the silence is deafening, enduring the hardships of the cruel weather for hours, only to be rewarded with a rare glimpse of how both light and darkness being cast over the vast landscapes, can be pleasing to the eye. Hiking for me is holistic in nature, enriching for the mind.
