“that makes me really happy!” sujin grinned at his friend, he had been taking t for a few years now so his stubble was already apparent but he could remember how happy it made him to be able to shave. “i heard it’s better to shave anyways but you’ve gotta let me see you with some stubble, min!”

“Oh please…” Xerxes said, motioning to the spot beside him. “And you’re going to have to take more than a bag of Skittles. Though tasting the rainbow is really nice,” he admitted, pulling out a bag himself and tearing into it. “I’ve got way too much so I’m probably going to load your pockets up to take back to your room with you,” he chuckled.

after moving the bowl to the middle cushion, sujin sat down with a flop & popped a few warm colored candies onto his tongue. “they’re the first thing that called out to me but i won’t turn down more.” he scrunched his nose as he laughed, digging out a few more packets of fruity candies before plucking a small chocolate. “don’t do that -- i’ll be on a sugar rush for a week!”

“well, i could explain and apologise but i’d rather just get coffee and call it a day.” she laughed, slightly embarrassed that she had ran into her professor when he was the one person she was avoiding.

doyeon was curious but he wasn’t going to pry -- at least for now. giving her a nod, he stood to his feet & disappeared into the nearby lounge. it only took him a couple of minutes before he came walking out with a steaming cup of coffee & a small bag of condiments. “i’m not sure how much cream & sugar you like so i just brought a handful.”

sujin hadn’t said anything to the other but he was steady eyeing the bowl of candy, practically drooling. “thank you, sir!” he hopped to his feet after hearing xerxes’ permission, shuffling over to the couch to fish out a packet of skittles. “may i sit beside you?” the raven-haired male asked with a bright smile, ripping the corner of the packet & dumping some loose candies into his palm as he waited for a reply.

“I should not.. oh.. ugh… all right…” grunted the sophomore, peeling another wrapper away from the chocolate treat inside it and popping it into his mouth. He sat in the common area, bowl of candy on his lap. Looking up to the person who was there, Xerxes shook his head. “Okay, yes, please…” he said, putting the still rather filled bowl of sweets on the cushion beside him, rather than his lap where it was. “It’s leftover from Halloween. Hitting that… about to go bad… thing. So eat up. Or else I’ll eat it all and be about three hundred pounds when I get done,” he grinned.

“yes, i know -- i’m your art professor!” doyeon replied with a small chuckle, dark eyes scanning over her to see she was actually upset. “i can grab you some coffee from the teacher’s lounge as along as you promise to keep it a secret.” his voice was now tender, he hated to see his students upset even if they were in the wrong most of the time.

“so i totally woke up late for my art class and now my whole day is completely upside down and inside out, i need a bucket of coffee to get back on track.” moxie sighed, flopping down on a nearby bench.

hi, it’s kota again! this is my baby sujin who is detached, optimistic & to be honest... dumb. ANFDNF. fair warning, i’ve got the flu so this might not make sense but despite that, i can’t wait to start writing with y’all!

some backstory? (it’s a lil dark in the beginning but bare with me.)

tw: first things first, sujin was put up for adoption before even leaving the womb. he doesn’t know anything about his biological family but his mother was a teen who was basically forced into giving him up. he lived in seoul for a hot minute before getting adopted by an irish family.

tw: this family was super conservative & didn’t take kindly to his statements about being a male which started in his childhood. they sent him to catholic school for most of his life before finally giving up on him when he was sixteen & throwing him out. amazingly, sujin continued going to school while also supporting himself with odd jobs.

tw: sujin lived in a lgbt+ youth shelter until graduating from high school, this is when he found a small apartment & continued working his butt off to save up for his tuition & t shots. he genuinely lived the most basic lifestyle, saving every penny he could for a better future. 

fast forward, sujin was accepted to gould & it’s literally made him the happiest lad in all of ireland. he focuses super hard on his studies because he isn’t the smartest so his good is a b+ but at least he’s trying.

despite having depression, sujin is super upbeat & supportive of those around him. he would go to the ends of the earth to put a smile on his friends faces.

some backstory?

born into a wealthy family, he is second generation korean-irish so instead of growing up in a conservative environment, doyeon indulged more in irish culture. his parents were strict but they worked so much that a nanny practically raised him. as he’s gotten older, he’s tried to learn more about his heritage but he’s nowhere near as educated as he should be.

tw: his anxiety formed when he was super young & the root of it is probably never knowing when his parents would come & go. he knows why they weren’t around now & respects it but as a child, he didn’t understand. however, it still bothers him but he probably won’t talk about it... ever.

his father is an architect & his mother owns a chain of boutiques where she sells her own jewelry designs, the arts were kind of a given for him. his vice is painting, his style is very modern but takes a lot of inspiration from pop art.  

tw: he got a little wild in high school & started partying a lot, he got hooked on c*ke pretty young & still needs it to function tbh. this is something nobody knows except those he partied with & it’s pretty hard to tell when he’s high. 

he’s privileged but he knows it so he’s not your typical rich asshole, he was raised by women so he’s got this really nurturing nature to him. it definitely shows with his students, he’s only been here for 3 weeks but he is super protective of them already.
